#13 of Draconicon's Rule 34 Harem

Moving on to the next story, we get to a point of worldbuilding, a small pause to explain what's going on, as well as to give everyone a chance to see just what's going on with Drac and what he's thinking with all the people that he's bringing together.

Draconicon's Rule 34 Harem Chapter 13: Surprising Aid Sponsored by Leon_Therma By Draconicon

A few more visits abroad, a few more people brought back to his world and city. Draconicon doubted that they'd ever understand just how much work this was, how long it took to find their specific worlds and bring them around to his way of thinking, but that was fine. They didn't have to know, didn't have to understand. All they needed to do was make sure that they were obedient when they got here, and were on his side of things.

That was easy enough. Once they reached his world, once they had a chance to see the new city, see how his world was fighting back against the breaking down of the multi-verse, they were more than willing to throw their weight behind him. The dragon had seen Beast - or Hank McCoy, depending on just which mind was in charge at the time - see the situation and immediately grasp it, and he had seen others that needed it explained. Explained...a lot.

He rubbed his head as he sent Robin Hood back through the portal to his own world. The last thing that he needed was for the clever rogue to be rendered useless after seeing the raw expanse of the universe. Not all worlds and minds were able to comprehend that sort of thing quickly, and it ran a risk of fucking with their brains if he pushed it too far. He'd gotten a good operative in the Hood. He didn't want to squander that.

That said, he knew that he had to keep Robin back in that world, anyway. There was no need for an archer or thief in his city - not like that, at least - and it was better to keep ties with the other worlds when he could rather than bring everyone here. It allowed him to train the best of the best while still keeping various other worlds tied to his, increasing the validity of his own universe.

At least, that was what he told himself. He wasn't sure if it was true, and he wouldn't know if his theory about the multi-verse was right until the time came for the Prime universe and his actually came into conflict with one another.

The black dragon stood at the top of his tower, looking down on the city. The various borders between the neighborhoods and districts were still holding fine, and Shining Armor's shield over the city was also holding strong. The debris from the other dimensions that rained through never came closer than the edge of the city these days, and those explosions were always weakened by the sheer power of the barrier.

And those were the ones that actually managed to hit the ground. Thanks to Spyro and a few other dragons that he had managed to recruit from the purple dragon's homeworld, a lot of them were getting blown up before they hit the ground. Defense still had some work that needed doing, but it was getting better.

Maybe a chance to fill that in with StarFox, or StarWolf, he thought, putting that thought on the back burner. It was something to consider, at least, if he could find the right universe for persuading them to leave their responsibilities behind.

He crossed his arms as he looked down at his city. He had done a lot for it so far, but he knew that there was a great deal more left to get done. If he didn't do it, then they were going to be in deep shit. And if he did do it, then they were going to be in even deeper shit if he happened to be wrong about the whole thing.

Well, I'll just have to hope that I'm right, then.

Shaking his head, the black dragon turned away from the city -

Fwoom, fwoom.

He blinked at the sound of a portal opening, slowly turning to look at the top of his tower. The spire that graced the very top was warming up, the tip turning super-heated as a portal of fire burned into place over it.

I didn't invite anyone over...

The black dragon's fingers flared with a burst of black fire, the heatless flames rolling and licking along the digits. There were other sorcerers and magic users out there that might cross the boundaries between the different universes, but this was the first time that one had come to his world directly. What this meant, he didn't know, but he knew that he wasn't going to face it without a spell prepared.

Finally, the portal opened fully, a ring of fire. He half-expected it to mean that someone from the worlds below had finally noticed what he was doing, that some demon was going to pop through to tell him to stop. If that had been the case, he would have banished it back through the portal without a second thought.

Instead, a Pokémon popped through.

He blinked as the Hoenn Typhlosion came through, somewhat anthro in appearance, but still closer to the feral shape than not. It floated to the ground with heat coming from hands and paws, burning fires that served almost like rocket boosters, and he was rather impressed at the dexterity of the use that they were put to. The dragon arched an eyebrow as the Typhlosion turned to him, smiling slightly.

"Draconicon?"

"...Yes?"

"Good. Wasn't sure if I picked the right time. Aiming too much in the past might have gotten me a different dragon."

"You're a time traveler?"

"Well, kinda. A time traveler, a dimension hopper. Various titles for various jobs."

That wasn't something that he had expected. For all that he had been working to understand the mechanisms of the multi-verse, and as much as he knew that he didn't know everything, he had been fairly sure that he'd gotten a pretty good understanding of the root causes of how things worked. Cause and effect were pretty constant, and that never allowed for a time traveler.

Yet, here one was. That...was concerning, and it made him wonder what other things he might have missed.

Before he had a chance to genuinely consider it, though, the Typhlosion shook his head. A click of a finger closed the portal over the spire, and he walked over to the edge of the rooftop. He smiled.

"Cool city. Looks like the sort of thing that you might see in a video game. Are you putting in fast travel spells, or are you just hopping from place to place with your magic?"

"Do I know you?"

"Not yet. Or at least, you-you don't."

"Then another me?"

"Something like that."

"Ah..."

Draconicon shook his head, rubbing his forehead.

"This is going to be one of those conversations, isn't it? The kind where you get to be all mysterious and all that?"

"Well, I was going for that, but...well, that's more your skill. I don't really care who knows what I am."

"So, what are you?"

"Oh, just part of the Palkian bloodline. You know, existing outside of time and space and all that."

"...So, you basically have a world that's an exception to the multi-verse? How is that possible?"

"Well -"

"Yes, yes, I know," Draconicon said, holding up his hands. "It's the paradox, isn't it? If there is a multi-verse of infinite possibilities, then there is a world where the multi-verse doesn't exist."

"...Actually, I wasn't going to say that, but that's pretty cool."

"Which means that the people in your world don't have reflections in ours, or at the very least, would be very different."

"Explains why I've never run into myself."

"Yes, it would..."

It would also do nothing to explain why they were talking like this, why this stranger was here, or what it meant for them to continue talking now. Draconicon rubbed his forehead again, trying to sort through his own confusion and vague irritation at everything that was going on.

"So...you know me. Can I at least know you?"

"Sure. I'm Leon."

"Leon the Typhlosion."

"Or Quilava, depending on my mood."

"I thought Pokémon couldn't devolve?"

"Normally, no, but when you're related to Palkia, you get a few little perks."

That was something else to keep in mind, he supposed. Pokémon gods were able to bend things. Not every god in the multi-verse was like that, Draconicon knew from experience, but this was one of those exceptions where they really were as powerful as they looked. And if that was the case, that meant that he was dealing with at least a demi-god of fire and space and time.

Good to know.

As he rubbed the back of his head, trying to sort through the whole mess, the Typhlosion finally looked up at the shield. The Pokémon whistled.

"Well, you're definitely further ahead than I thought. Whose shield is that?"

"Shining Armor's. Why are you here, exactly?"

"To help."

"Why?"

"Because I thought it'd be a nice thing to do." Leon smiled, turning around. "You'd think that you'd like that. Someone willing to help, I mean, instead of someone that you have to persuade."

"Well, yes, but that doesn't mean -"

"How many defenses do you have so far?"

"On the local or dimensional level?"

"Dimensional. Local's not going to do anything if they get close enough."

"Well, several soul locks, some elemental wards that'll go off if the Prime universe gets too close. A series of barriers that chain through links of loyalty."

"In English?"

"Follower loyalty transitions into magical shields. The more loyal followers, the better."

"Gotcha. Anything else?"

The black dragon narrowed his eyes. The more that Leon spoke, the more it felt like he was getting judged. He had been working hard, and the fact that he had defenses around his world, his universe like this, was more than any other universe that had been consumed by the Prime universe could have said.

Before he could say anything, though, Leon groaned.

"I'm - sorry. That was a bit much, wasn't it?"

"What?"

"I'm kinda running away with things. It's what I'm used to doing."

"...What exactly do you do?"

"Mostly? I do what Palkia tells me to do. I pick up different toys, I go around the different universes to make sure that they're running more or less the way that they're supposed to, and sometimes, I get rid of people."

That...made sense, he supposed. Any true god would be focused on getting things done, keeping up the stability that the universe needed just to function. They wouldn't want to work with their own powers to make that happen, considering it ran a serious risk of breaking the whole system down when you applied that much force on something. Sending someone else, powerful, but not game-breaking, meant that it had a better chance of staying together.

As the Typhlosion rubbed the back of his head, looking vaguely apologetic, Draconicon managed to calm himself down. He knew that he needed help, and he knew that he needed a lot of it. The universe was not so kind that it would just let him get away with murder. The Prime universe was still on the move, and he needed to get prepared for its eventual arrival.

"If you're offering help, I'll take it."

"Glad to hear it."

"You're obviously good with fire. What else do you have in mind?"

"Well, I had this idea for a fire fortress..."

"..."

"Interdimensional, of course."

"...Show me."

In the darkness between universes, the dragon and the Hoenn Typhlosion floated. The pair of them looked over the universe that they'd just left - the dragon's - and then into the spaces between them.

Each universe had a point of light to distinguish it from the darkness that rolled between them. The great black void was occasionally speckled with stars, marked with the different points of light and souls and energy that was constantly being drained from one universe to another via entropy and gravity and more. The light faded, grew, and then faded again as it was drained and replenished almost constantly.

They watched it all from their vantage point on the edge of existence, and Draconicon cocked his head to the side as Leon just floated along, humming to himself as he patted his hands together.

"What are you doing?"

"Just thinking of the best place to put the walls."

"You can seriously just make a fortress of fire?"

"I can do more than that. I've been working with flame all my life. It's a powerful element."

"And you must be very powerful with it if you can keep it burning in the void."

"Heh. I know how strong you are, Drac. Not as strong as the one I know, but pretty damn strong. If all I could do was something you're capable of, I wouldn't have bothered showing up."

At least the Typhlosion was honest about something, though a trifle more confident than Draconicon entirely liked. Still, the black dragon knew that it was better to have someone good at their job on his side than someone that was weaker than him. The more people on his level that he had, the better.

As long as Leon didn't think it'd be better with himself in charge, they were going to get along just fine.

Floating in the void would have been chilly, but the Pokémon's flames were more than strong enough to keep the air around them warm. Not burning hot, but warm, and that was enough for him. He occasionally reached out, warming his palms against the burning heat that came off of Leon's back while the Pokémon stared into the dark, tracing lines with his fingers, muttering to himself.

Despite the slight irritation he had, Draconicon couldn't help but be a bit curious about what was going to happen. The various universes of the multi-verse was stacked and rolling and sliding through the void at all times. It was why the Prime universe was always feeding; things were being rolled towards it, and rather than integrating and moving on, it destroyed them. Most universes would pass things between each other during near misses, but...

He shook his head. Whatever was going to happen, would happen, and there was very little that he could do about it.

The dragon pulled his hands back as Leon finally nodded to himself. Something was about to happen, and he imagined that it was going to be rather -

FWOOOSH!

With such intensity that it almost felt like a new sun had been born, Leon brought his hands together. The crack that his palms made felt like it split a hole in the void around them, and as he brought his fingers apart, the Typhlosion held a ball of fire between them. More than fire, the dragon realized. That was almost fusion, a constant set of atomic explosions and more, spreading out like fire between his fingers, growing stronger and more powerful with each passing second.

Draconicon's mouth fell open as he watched the Pokémon mold it, rolling it between his fingers, pulling lines and tendrils of living fire out of the ball that he had created. Leon was staring at it intently, almost like he was a god over a sun, and it left the black dragon in some awe.

"Okay...you weren't kidding."

"Nope."

"You do this often?"

"Nope."

"You want me to shut up?"

"Yep."

"Shutting up."

Besides, he was more interested in the power that was being used than he was in talking it out. He hadn't sensed even a glimmer of this sort of potential in the other man, and seeing it now? Well, it was eye-opening, to say the least, as well as just flat-out amazing. The view of that fire burning between his fingers was almost enough to blind the dragon, and considering that he was trying to stare at it with the eyes of magic and no more, that was saying something.

The more that Leon pulled from the ball of fire, the more that the void lit up. The stars and energy inside of it, the things that it had been trying to eat, were drawn to the flame. They became fuel, or at least, that was what Draconicon thought at first.

Yet, as he watched, he saw them come out again, purified, almost, like the fire had dragged them through and yanked out all their impurities, burning that for fuel and pushing out the good things. Great balls of massive chunks of metal were let loose, the rock gone, the bad stuff removed. Then there were souls that he saw in the fire, burned and forged and given shape and form again, weapons and powers that were sent out to the different universes adjacent to his own.

The fortress that Leon was weaving was more than protection. It was a gauntlet of sorts, something to drag the best to it, something to give them purpose and form and power. If they were good enough, they were allowed back, the souls in the void given form and purpose and strength to stand again.

The border worlds won't be as weak anymore, not with that going on, he thought, shaking his head. They'll be able to stand up to the Prime universe with heroes like that, at least for a while, long enough for me to bring more of my forces to bear...

He had always thought of the outer worlds as something that he could sacrifice to buy himself some time. The Prime universe devoured things that came near it almost too quick to see, but even a few seconds, a few minutes would be enough for him to start marshalling his own people. It wouldn't be enough to save a world, not then, but now...

Now, they might have more of a chance.

As the fire spread, it caught itself in lines and circles, creating a form of a great and powerful citadel. The dragon couldn't help but be amazed at the way that Leon continued weaving it, writing in the stars with a power that he had never imagined.

He opened his mouth, then shut it again; the last thing that he needed to do was distract his new acquaintance while there were lines of fire around his universe. He needed it to be protected, not burnt.

The fire flowed up, then down, then around the great light that formed his universe. He watched as the walls of fire formed, as great towers and sheets of flame ran from one end to the other. Bit by bit, his universe surrounded in a crystal of pure fire, something that made it look like it was nothing but a sun.

It was beautiful, brilliant, and downright dangerous, but that was par for the course. He shook his head in slow amazement as the flames slowly came to a halt, leaving his universe completely covered, protected.

"It won't stop the Prime universe, but it will slow it down," Leon said as he brought his arms together again. "Wow, that was a lot."

"Uh, no kidding. The fact that you're still standing after that is pretty amazing."

"Well, I'm tired enough to collapse now."

"Fainting time?"

"Flop time."

The Typhlosion leaned against him, and the dragon shook his head. It was a bit silly, but not that bad. He smiled to himself, opening the portal back to his home dimension and universe. It was time to see how it looked from the ground.

Surprisingly, the sheets of flame that were so obvious from the outside were completely invisible from the inside. Then again, he imagined that Leon had been professional enough to put them all far enough away from the homeworld to keep it from burning up in a sudden heatwave. It was a good thing that he was smart enough for that. Draconicon hadn't even thought of it on a cosmic scale like that just yet.

They sat in his penthouse in the spire after that, the two of them relaxing over a cup of coffee. Leon flared his a few times, heating it to the point of almost burning it, while Draconicon poured a few scoops of white chocolate powder into his own.

"Need it sweet?" Leon asked.

"I prefer it that way. Coffee after morning always feels like it needs to be a treat instead of just a drink."

"You obviously don't work that hard."

"Not that way, anyway."

They sipped at their drinks, the dragon looking out the window again. He could just feel the blazes in the distance, the heated walls that protected his universe. One day, he imagined, he would have the power to pull something like that off, but the way that Leon had done it was currently outside of his reach.

And still, it wouldn't be enough to stop the Prime universe from consuming them. It'd just be a barrier to hold them for a time, give him the hours he needed to pull everyone together. The fact that they were still fighting against something like that...

Draconicon shook his head. Not without a smile, though. He wasn't losing. He was just having to fight a bit harder than he expected.

Sipping his coffee one more time, he glanced at Leon. The Typhlosion had put his feet up, the undersides shimmering slightly. The paw pads were just a bit damp, and the fur was a bit matted.

"Do you sweat constantly or something?" Draconicon asked.

"I'm a Fire-type. It's kinda what we do."

"I'm surprised that you don't put off much of a smell."

"Well, it's sweat. Not stink."

"Fair enough."

Still, it was a nice look. He might consider putting a few enchantments on some of his subordinates and slaves and submissives like that. It would probably make their feet all the more fun to play with.

As he leaned back and got a bit more comfortable, Leon looked him over. Draconicon waited, half-expecting a question, but it never seemed to come. The minutes ticked by, and the Pokémon's eyes kept flicking over him.

Finally, he chuckled.

"What?"

"Hmm?"

"You're staring at me. That means you either want me or want to ask me a question."

"Well, bit of both."

"Not the first time for that." He blinked. "Wait. What kind of relationship do you actually have with that other Drac?"

"Well...Let's just say that it's a bit of a rivalry," Leon said.

"What kind of rivalry?"

"The sort where I keep trying to find him and keep getting shoved over to one of his alts. I think I've collected about twenty of them, now."

"...I'm not going to be twenty-one."

"Oh, no, no, you're doing something important. I'm not going to do that."

"Good..." He shook his head. "So, that explains what you'd want. Being on top?"

"Heh, most of your alts seem to like me doing that."

"Maybe, but not today."

"Ah, then I'll be back tomorrow." Leon smiled, then mimed getting himself shot, falling backwards. "Hehehe."

Draconicon shook his head, unable to help smiling as the Typhlosion continued to be as goofy as the minute he'd met him. Sure, Leon was a bit on the weird side, but that didn't stop him from being a good man. A good person.

He sipped his coffee again, shaking his head.

"So, what's the question?"

"Two, actually. First, you happen to know where Drac is? Like, the big one?"

"Not really. I was barely aware of my other alts."

"Well, damn."

"Sorry."

"Eh." Leon shook his head. "Nobody knows where he is. I swear, he's like a ghost or something. Can't find him, can't fuck him."

"...Thanks, I think."

"Anyway, the other question. Do you mind telling me, well, why you're doing it this way?"

"Doing what what way?"

"All this. Saving the universe by making people into sex toys."

Ah. That. He supposed that question was going to come at some point, all things considered. He put his coffee cup down, shaking his head as he tried to organize his thoughts into words.

As he tapped his fingers together, he thought of the various men that he had brought here. Men only, so far, though he hoped to go back and find more. There were things that he had to do, things that he had to accomplish, and yet, there were other things that he wanted to do to make things good.

"I have a theory that the only way to hold off the Prime universe is to give it too big a universe to actually eat. Everything else is a shadow of the Prime universe, a reflection that it casts on the rest of existence. Since everything else is a shadow of the first, a reflection of it, its 'purity' means that it can burn that shadow out of existence, consume it.

"But what if that shadow is too different, has too much substance to be burned away? What if there are people that were never meant to interact, personalities that were never meant to be changed?"

"Make it so that there's a storyline that refuses to just fall in line with the canon?" Leon asked.

"Something like that."

"So, why sex?"

"Well...partially because it's different from the standard 'call to action' for a hero's journey," the dragon admitted. "But it's also partially because that's the only way that some of them will listen. Hypnotize them first, and then change them. Bring them back here, different, more sexual, more intense, and then allow them to come into their own."

"Wouldn't it be better if they came with you willingly?"

"God yes."

That was the thing that he hadn't been so keen on so far. He wanted to spend time with the different people that he seduced. He wanted to either give them a chance to see his cause and come with him on their own terms, or - if he had to do it less kindly - to give them a slow corruption, to take his time and let them stay more themselves. He wanted to linger on their worlds, to change them, to give them the chance to stand up to the Prime universe by being different enough to not be immediately consumed.

Yet, every time, he had been forced to do it fast, do it too fast to take his time or leave them more of their thoughts. He'd had to take them, burn through more of their usefulness, and just run with them.

Heavens knew what he would do when he ran out of time to do it that way, either.

Then again, Leon had given him the time that he needed to actually slow down a little. That fortress meant that there was a possibility for him to take more time in the future worlds, to allow himself a little bit of indulgence. He imagined that the next one that he converted would be the best yet.

He looked up at the Typhlosion, saw him smiling, and he imagined that the Pokémon probably knew what he was thinking about. Draconicon smiled, closing his eyes and shaking his head.

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

"No, seriously, thanks."

"Well, you're welcome."

For the first time in a while, he actually felt like he had a bit of time to breathe, a bit of space. He had been working hard for a long time, and now that he knew that there were other people out there that were willing to lend a hand, it meant that his little mission actually had a chance of success. Still not a good one, but better than it had been.

He was just getting comfortable again when Leon reached behind his back. Only then realizing that the Typhlosion wore a belt around his waist rather than being completely naked - the fur kept the sheath just out of sight - the dragon cocked his head to the side as his new friend pulled something free.

"That reminds me. I brought someone for you."

"Someone?"

"Yes. I thought you might like a gift."

"Is this one to keep, or?"

"Well, that depends on how this next part goes."

Leon held up a pokeball with a big grin on his face, tossing it up in the air. Draconicon followed it until it burst with light, the white glow forming into a more solid shape, and then fading away to reveal -

"Oh, my..."

"Oh, yes," Leon said. "And he's all yours...if he's satisfied at the end of this."

The End
