Crippled
Though the aparoid war had finally been ended there was still the matter of the eggman empire and the iron dominion. Both were enemies of the kingdom of knothole that wanted total control over mobius but the freedom fighters stood in their way as each invasion or plot was foiled.
Fang was on a mission with his brother and Rouge to snatch a chaos emerald from a witch known as the Iron Queen and her servant the Iron King who was responsible for the scar on Fangs eye. They were at the palace of the iron dominion where Rouge had sucessfuly stolen the emerald before alerting the guards, Shadow had found an escape route through the streets and to the main gate.
"Fang let's go!!"
"RRAH HYA!! right behind you!!"
Fang held off the guards chasing them as they spotted their dropship coming by to pick them up, Shadow helped Fang hold off the remaining guards as he flung out two guns and began firing accurate shots giving Fang some room then finally Rouge signaled the two of them to pull out as they leaped into the ship and headed straight back to mobotropolis with Tails as the pilot.
"How'd we do?"
"*pulls out emerald* Just fine."
Rouge pulled Shadow over to her for a congragulatory kiss while Fang smirked a bit before falling asleep for the rest of the trip. An hour later they were at Freedom HQ where a party was held in celebration of the missions success since this was the seventh chaos emerald they had just recovered. All raised their glasses to congargulate the trio as Rouge and Shadow sat in a corner together while Fang walked outside with Bunnie who he was glad to see after so many years.
"Glad to see ya still haven't lost you touch sugar."
"Well after this it's just me, Fara and my daughter."
"How is Jewel by the way? I hear she found herself a man."
"Marcus McCloud. Fox's kid I think *BUMP!!!* AAGH!!! *BUMP!!!* AAAAAGH!!!"
"Fang?!?"
"W-what's happening to me?!? *BUMP!!* AAAH!!!"
Fangs heart began to beat violently as he fell to his knees and gripped his chest violently before vomiting up a puddle of blood, Bunnie rushed to his side as he laid himself on the ground still in pain with his eyes wandering all over the place trying to focus on something, his parents had just heard the commotion as they looked at the scene with shock and rushed outside to see if they could help.
"Fang! what's wrong?!?"
"He needs to get to the hospital!!"
Using his speed Sonic rushed Fang to the hospital where they used a crash cart on him after he flat lined for a minuete allowing the doctors to sigh with relief. After letting him rest Fang was taken to the monitor chamber to have his body looked over, after a couple of tests the doctors found something most disturbing as they contacted his family and teammates.
Tamati was just helping Ammy around the house while Thomas was out on another date with Rebecca, as the phone rang Ammy tossed her apring aside and laid herself on the couch as she saw Faras number appear on the caller id.
"Ammy speaking....whoa Fara slow down! tell me what happened.....okay we'll be there."
"What happened?"
"Fang's in the hospital. to doctors want us to see there report."
Tamati notified Thomas, saying that he was in charge while they were gone and soon they were off. The moment they arrived at the hospital they saw Jewel and Fara staring through a window at Fang who was constantly being monitored on several machines with the doctors taking constant notes as one of the surgeons called them all to the display room.
"So is it a heart attack or anything?"
"I wish it was....during his bio scan we found that Fangs DNA structure is breaking down, his heart seems to be the only organ affected, right now it's stable but if enters another fight it could kill him."
"So....there's no way to save him?"
"I didn't say that. there's a scientist that has perfected the creation of cybernetic organs, if you can get your hands on one of these he'll be as good as new...there's just one problem."
"If it's money me and Tamati can help."
"No it's not that. the scientist is located all the way on earth."
After a short moment of thinking Tamati agreed that he would be the one to take the trip to earth and bring back the heart for Fang but little did they know that eggman had been listening in and saw this as his chance to finally take back his experiment.
