#1 of Aurora

There was Nothing, but within the Nothing that made up the concept of the void, there were rocks, gasses, and empty husks of dead planets that yielded much potential in the beginning, but were devoured by the roaming Nothing in the end.

As the Nothing controlled its lifeless domain, there was a much smaller being, not living, but nonetheless moving. A Something, perhaps the only Something that existed. This Something wasn't like the Nothing for the Nothing devoured worlds and enveloped them in its corruption. This Something darted and flew from world to world, giving it a spark, though the Nothing chased the Something, putting out whatever threat to its realm that the Something made.

There were many worlds the Something visited, but each world was snuffed like the rest. A few worlds the Something tried to defend, but the Nothing was far more powerful, easily overcoming the Something and snuffing out the spark.

Defeated time and time again, the Something fled, running from the Nothing, doing what it could to escape. Darting and dancing between asteroids, gas clouds, other hollowed out husks of worlds, anything to slow down the Nothing, but the Nothing was far too vast to be tricked and outmaneuvered.

Swallowed in the Nothing, the Something was surrounded by darkness. The Something begged and pleaded, but the Nothing had refused time and time again. In the end, the Something sat in silence, floating around in the endless sea of darkness, the Something begging in silence.

Aurora.

The Something would stop, unsure of what the voice was. It wasn't the Nothing, this voice had presence, it was actually there, wasn't it?

Aurora.

Once again it would appear, causing the Something to dart about in the void, looking around for the source of the voice. It had to come from somewhere! A voice could not come from Nothing, it had to be Something! The voice needed an origin!

Aurora, come to me.

The Something moved even faster, darting through the emptiness, searching for the source of the voice. Finding this voice drove the Something further and further into the Nothing, the Something not caring how far it had to go, it just needed to find the voice!

The Something would soon come across a dead world, but this world wasn't like the rest. There was no spark, but... even in the darkness, this world was trying to recreate what the Something had given it.

Aurora, help me.

The Something paused. The voice was coming from the lifeless world, begging the Something for help. The Something didn't know what was needed, but it would assist in any way it could.

Aurora, bring me to life.

The Something began to dart around, ever searching for the very thing it needed. The planet needed to be saved, the planet was begging for help. How could it save the planet, the Something had no idea, but maybe there was a thing floating about the Something could use.

As the Something flew in the darkness, it would come across another planet, this one dead like the rest. The Something was about to move on when it came up with an idea. Darting behind the dead world, the Something began to push, using all of its power to move the planet towards the crying world.

[What do you think you are doing,] asked the Nothing, but the Something refused to answer, continuing to push the planet, the process slow, but the planet was moving.

[What do you hope to achieve, Lifebringer,] the Nothing would ask, but once again, the Something ignored him, continuing to push and push, the planet picking up speed.

[Little Something, whatever you are doing, there is no hope-] but the Something snapped, pushing as hard as it could.

"I am not Something... I am Aurora... and today, Nothing, you will be merely a shadow," and Aurora would drive the dead world right into the other one, creating a massive explosion of heated rock and gas, the Nothing screaming as it began to fall apart, leaving Aurora floating around the slowly reforming rock.

"I am... Aurora... and for once... I have beaten you, Nothing," Aurora would say, the ball of light drifting around the now saved world, the ball of light too drained to dance in victory. It had won, that's all that truly mattered.
