Prolog, the story begins
Prolog
In the dark night the cries of frightened villagers could be heard as they were silenced. The smell of blood was so great that the feral animals fled as far away as possible. Not long after the final voice was silenced a crazed laughter could be heard. The laughter continued as a lone figure walked out of the village's north exit. The figure was an anthro wolf with grey fur, blood red eyes, wearing only a pair of pure black breeches, and covered in blood. The wolf ceased laughing as he raised his blood stained sword to his lips. The sword was a katana as long as the wolf's arm. The inscription read "Kain, The Mad." As many would guess the blood covered wolf was Kain.
Two days later, after Kain's attack the remaining villagers had come out of hiding. The once peaceful village was full of antro panthers of different shades of black. The men buried the dead while the woman and children salvaged what they could from the remains of the village. During mid day a cloaked man walked toward one of the men burying his fallen brother.
From afar the stranger called in a sad almost haunted voice, "Excuse me, could you tell me what happened here."
The panther answered, "A wolf of great skill and horror did this," hesitantly he added, " His sword was engraved with the name Kain the mad."
Even with as far away as the man was, the panther could tell that the stranger was not surprised. The man called again, much the same as before, " Do you know which way he went?"
The panther was surprised at the question. After a moment of thinking the panther replied, "If you head straight through the village you will be right behind him."
"I appreciate the useful information," said the stranger with no change in his voice.
As he began to head through the village the panther caught up with the stranger. "Wait!" Called the panther reaching for the strange man's shoulder, but only pulled back the hood. The panther froze in terror at the face of what he saw. He saw the face of the cold blooded killer Kain.
