#8 of Patreon Reward Vignettes

For his second reward vignette, I had another Bad End to offer FA: spottedsqueak Though I'm not sure how much of a Bad End it is....

This one is a "What if" for the scene in the record shop that Arci works at for his day job from A Musical Encounter, where Arci ducked and tried to walk away to keep doing his job. What if he had just given in to this handsome customer?

Contains: Seduction, Hypnosis, Teasing, and a very self-assured supervillain toying with a hero he's gotten interested in.

Dominion is FA: Forest-Wolf / FA: SpottedSqueak

Arci is my superhero for the New Rhodia setting, shared by Kaijou, Forest, and Russ (and sometimes FA: JagKitty as proven by his vignette this month)

The first two paragraphs of this are direct quotes from the original story and did not count towards the vignette's word count.

Even as this story is being posted the poll on my Patreon is still going! Even after more votes came in, the poll is tied between two options! So if you are a patron, please consider voting if you haven't!

Again, people who pledge $1 or more can vote on those polls. $5 or more you can add to the suggestion doc, which is where the ideas that get voted on on the polls come from. Patrons of $10 or higher will receive monthly Rewards Vignettes if their payment went through before the halfway point of the month!

If you'd rather have more complete control of my creative output, consider commissioning me! If you'd rather just support me and don't want to commit to a monthly donation, I have a Ko-Fi.

"What about a private performance...?" The customer crooned in a sing-song tone, his tenor given way to a smooth baritone.

The skunk fidgeted, eyes widening as he saw the larger male's arms on either side of him, pressing to the rack, trapping him in place. The smaller male swallowed. Some part of him wanted to just lean back and let the handsome lupine embrace him. Another part of him wondered where he had heard that voice before. It was deeply familiar. Was he actually a singer in a band? Did he usually wear something different on stage and that's why he didn't recognize the male?

Bashfully, Arci bit his lip and let himself lightly lean into the taller male. Some part of his mind was telling him that now was not the time, but the handsome lupine behind him felt like the best thing to escape all of the trouble that had been weighing him down all day.

The customer's muzzle angled up against the underside of one of the skunk's ears. As he released the racks to ease his arms around the mephit, he began to quietly sing, squeezing Arci in his embrace.

Arci closed his eyes behind his glasses as the voice seemed to call colors to passionately dance in his mind's eye. He knew he should be working, but if his coworker could come to work stoned, he could sure as hell enjoy the advances of a hunky customer sometimes... He wondered again where he knew this voice from. So familiar, so warm and gentle, seemingly like the male producing it.

The wolf began to sway lightly in time with the song. The way he sang, the skunk could easily imagine the instrumentation of the song's backing. It had once been acapella but it was almost a symphony with a chorus.

The skunk's tail loosely started wrapping and curling around the customer's slacks as he shifted his weight back and forth along with the larger male's guidance. He opened his eyes again, pupils dilated and unfocused, looking ahead.

A low rumble resonated across the mephit's form from the firm chest he was leaned up against, as the wolf finished his song. He chuckled tenderly and nuzzled just above the temple of the skunk's glasses, before taking a wiff of his hair. "I'm glad you let me serenade you again..."

Arci's eyes slowly returned to normal. "What do you mean... again?"

The wolf dug in his pocket, keeping one arm around the skunk cozily. He brought his hand back out into the open holding a fingerless glove made of purple pleather with pyramid studs across the knuckles. "You dropped this last night." He growled warmly, giving a gentle squeeze around the skunk's chest.

The skunk's eyes widened as he made the connection of why that voice was so familiar. The previous serenade was how the wolf had sung the night before as he effortlessly turned Arci's fighting moves into an intimate dance. "D-Dominion!" His cheeks flushed slightly as he realized how loudly he said that, in public.

Dominion eased the arm with the glove back around the short skunk and began to rock him again. "Got it in one, my sweet."

Arci felt a rush of euphoria at the praise, his blush deepening. "H-how did you find me?"

The disguised villain growled into the hero's ear, his tail audibly wagging behind the two of them just above the looped tail. "I'll always find you, Arci. No matter what."

The skunk felt faint, his weight pressing back into the strong arms around him, into the warmth of his enemy... Enemy? Rival? Friend? Crush? ...crush's embrace. He couldn't believe the handsome wolf was being so understanding and caring after how brash the skunk had acted the night before. He could hardly remember why he ran away anymore.

"When you want another private performance..." Dominion gently placed the glove into Arci's hand as he stood away, allowing the skunk to part from his embrace. "Feel free to come to me."

Arci shuddered. He felt so cold with just his shirt and fur to fend off the chill in the shop, after spending so long with the wolf's warmth draped around him... he wanted to dive back into it, badly... He looked at the glove in his hand, and with the dropped item there was an off-white business card with black letters. An address was embossed into it.

Dominion gently released Arci from his arms and stood upright, glancing to his agents posing as customers all throughout the shop. He could tell by the shiver that ran up Arci's spine and the way his coiled tail gave a bit of a squeeze that his plan had been a success. "Let go with your tail as well." He said softly as he smoothed out his shirt with his palms.

Arci thoughtlessly let his tail flop to the floor, a loose loop around the wolf's feet, easily stepped out of.

The lupine did so, idly glancing down at the blank card he'd slipped the skunk. "Do be a dear and come visit soon." He rumbled playfully, and casually strode towards the exit.

The business-dress rabbit woman tapped her wireless headset. "Attention Hound Squad. Stand down, target is claimed." She then gestured towards the door. The rest of the agents in the store calmly put back whatever they were looking at and followed her and the supervillain out in an orderly manner, leaving the skunk and his coworker alone in the building.

The opossum blinked a few times, rubbing the side of his head. "What happened, dude?" He looked over the trembling skunk who was standing perfectly still.

Arci looked up from the card and over to his coworker. "I... I think I have a date?"

BAD END?
