Release The Dragon
Fangs world began to spin again as he endured another torturing session of surgery by the hands of Andross, most of his blood had been drained with nothing to keep him alive except bag after bag of ivy, while he laid there weak and helpless Andross had at last finished his experiment of creating a new breed of aparoids each with stronger hides and muscles then their originals.
"Beautiful aren't they...my precious pets and it's all thanks to you Fang."
Andross placed his hand on one of his new pets as he smirked at Fang as he ordered the hive guards to take him back to the dungeon just below his lab while in the deep reaches of space Cassara was leading the cornerian fleet as well as the dragon legion to her hive along with Fara and the rest of the team.
Because they were so insistant Fox and the others had no choice but to bring the children along as they were equipped with a communicator and kept their swords close while Jewel stepped into the room wearing armor made by her father leaving the Thomas a little stunned as Rebecca clamped his mouth shut while her brother walked over to talk to her.
"You alright?"
"Yeah."
"Okay listen up! According to Cassara, Andross used Fang in some genetic experiment and it worked so whatever it is he's going to throw at us is probably going to be big so don't lose your cool and stay with your unit. Krystal."
"Our battle plan is this: While the fleet launches an arial assault on the hive structure the dragon legion will storm through the tunnels and handle the guards while we get to the lab located at the bottom of the hive and retrieve Fang."
With a quick salute the soldiers dispersed and prepared for the mission while Fox and Krystal walked up to the twins and hugged them as Krystal slowly began to cry, worrying for her children.
"Now you two be careful. understand?"
"We'll be alright dad."
"We love you two so much."
Krystal hugged both her children one last time before joining Fox at the hangar while Thomas was with his parents looking a little nervous since he had never been in a real battle before, Ammy kissed him on the cheek before heading back to the medical wing as his father placed a hand on his shoulder and they simply nodded to each other as Jewel followed them.
The unit the children were placed in was the one that would be to retrieve Fang, within moments the mission began as the ships hovered over the hive and began firing.
"GO GO GO!!!!"
Using the flash of the cannons and the dust from the explosions Cassara lead them to a secret entrance in the hive while the legion and cornerian soldiers charged in on the swarm emerging from the hive. Andross heard the commotion inside his lab and activated the cages holding his pets, sending them on the attack while Fang struggled to break his restraints but it was no use.
As the battle raged on outside Cassara had finally found the entrance to the lab as Fox signaled them to split up as they neared the door, the moment they got close enough Krystal and Fara kicked in the door and stormed the lab but only found used surgical tools and Fang who had passed out since Andross forgot to replace his Ivy pouch.
"No....NO!!!"
"Hey Hey!! easy Fang! it's me Tamati, we're getting you out of here alright? just hold on."
Fangs body was riddled with stitches from constantly being opened and reopened and his lips were completely parched as Krystal unlocked his restraints while Fara took out a canister of water and held his head up.
"Fara..."
"Easy easy...here drink slowly."
"*gulp**gulp*....*COUGH!!* *GASP!!*"
"Daddy?"
"My precious Jewel..."
Jewel held onto her father as she bursted into tears along with her mother who was smiling while Fox took out a large needle with a strange metal liquid inside that seemed to be moving.
"Okay Fang listen. I'm injecting nanites into your body, they'll help you heal up faster."
"INCOMING!!!"
One of the experiments that Andross unleashed ambushed them from above causing Fox to drop the nanites, as it moved in above Fang, Jewel unsheathed her katanas and attacked the creature, stabbing it in two of its eyes then chopping off one leg, forcing it to weave back in pain.
"KEEP AWAY FROM MY DADDY!!"
"Jewel no!!"
Rebecca and the other kids soon joined in as Thomas got on top stabbing it on its neck while Marcus took out another one of its eyes along with his sister breaking another leg, amongst the chaos Fara grabbed the needle and stabbed it into Fangs chest and in just five seconds Fangs eyes bursted into new life and his wounds instantly healed up.
"My turn..."
Fang leaped off the table and tackled the beast into the wall, smashing it with his bare hands until it broke free from his grip and ran off in pain, the moment things settled down Fang turned to Fara who ran into his arms sighing with relief.
"Fara..."
"I missed you so much..."
"This isn't over, there's two more of those things!"
Even though he had been restrained during his capture Fang memorized the tunnels and lead them two the upper lair of the hive where the experiments waited along with Andross and the queen.
"Hello my daughter..."
Cassara only stared at the queen in anger while Fara slipped a strange device onto Fangs wrist as he was the first one to step forth along with Tamati and Fox but before they could do anything Andross raised his arm trapping Tamati and Fox to the wall along with the others leaving only Fang in the center.
"Neuro enhancer *points to head*. I save the best inventions for me...you know Fang you hurt one of my pets...I don't take kindly to that."
With a snap of his Fingers the experiments moved in on Fang until Tamati managed to break lose as he activated to gatling guns hidden in his armor along with his helm and the room began to thunder with the sound of gunfire.
"YEAH GET SOME!!!"
"ALRIGHT DAD!!"
While Tamati held them off Fang activated the strange device on his wrist which turned out to be his new armor as it clamped onto his body then finally his helm took shape with two horns and an open visor. The two knights then took on the three experiments while receiving some interfeirence from Andross, their armor was being torn apart piece by piece until Tamati had an Idea as they managed to get some room.
"Fang! hit me with a fire ball!"
"What?!?"
"NOW!!!!"
Without a second thought Fang hit Tamati with a fire blast as he formed a lighting spear in his arm and just like that he combined the two elements together and launched it at Andross and the queen, crippling them with the explosion.
"What was that?"
"Hyper merge, I save it as a last resort."
When the dust settled the team was unharmed and Fang and Tamati had deactivated their armor as they looked at the two foes burned and broken.
"You lose."
"Daughter! stop them!!"
"....you're no family of mine."
Outraged the queen unleashed all of her power as the hive suddenly transformed into an arena as the team was suddenly seated with Fang and Tamati in seperate rings, each facing their own opponents. Andross and his experiments dealt with Fang while Tamati dealt with the queen which didn't seem to suit him all too well.
"I'm going to enjoy this..."
"Why do I always get the phsycos?"
While Tamati handled the queen Fang was stuck in a battle royale as the experiments chomped and clawed at him before Andross blasted him into the wall shattering his armor as Fang spat out a small amount of blood.
"This is hopeless hedgehog. just surrender and i'll kill you and your friends quickly."
"You won't so much as lay a finger on them....I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!!!"
Fang charged in towards Andross and slaughtering his experiments one by one until he had nothing left to use but his fists while Tamati had finally knocked out the queen and blasted the wall seperating him and Fang to help with the fight as he stopped Andross from firing another phsycic blast.
"I've got your back!"
"It's my front that i'm worried about!!"
Even with their armor shattered Fang and Tamati were still a match for Andross as he activated guns hidden in the arena that fired on the two of them creating a cloud of dust. It seemed that victory belonged to the aparoids but as the dust settled Fang and Tamati only bled in a few places, the moment Tamati spat out a small drop of blood Fang leaped into the air raising his sword while Tamati pinned Andross to the wall with a lighting blast.
"Hyper merge!!"
"NO!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!!"zz
With the combination of Tamtatis lightning and Fangs sword Andross was burnt to ashes as the lighting entered foe reaver and made it surge with power like never before.
"LIGHTING BURST!!!"
The moment the blade made contact lighting and a loud burst of thunder filled the air as the aparoids and the soldiers ceased their battle to see the event. Then the aparoids that remained in the hive saw that Andross and their queen had been defeated and as they looked to Cassara they began to bow while she stood there knowing that it would be a long time before her people could finally be at peace.
Once again peace was brought to the system as Cassara took her place as queen of the aparoids and the team got back to their normal lives as Jewel prepared to go on a date with her new boyfriend Marcus.
"Bye daddy!"
"Have fun!"
Fang was now retired unlike the rest of the team. the stress of all his battles had finally caught up with him and he could no longer fight but none of that mattered so long as his family and home was safe. And so ends the tale of the ultimate warrior.
