Here is a gift story I wrote for Jiroda, as a result of--and a thank you for some discussions we had about snakes and such themes. I really enjoy the design of his Raichu Oran, and working with it was a lot of fun. This also allowed me to portray a predator not as gentle as I usually have it, which was very enjoyable. Not sure when, but there will be more like it in the future !

Slowly, Oran opened his eyes. His consciousness struggling in the thickness of sleep's persistent web, he tried to gather his thoughts. For a while he remained perfectly still, dazed still from such a profound sleep. Before his vision recovered from its blurriness, or he recognised the sounds around him, he felt the weight of his body, that is, how it felt fatter than usual. It started making sense then, with nebulous strings of memories merging together. A feast, something like that... Yeah, a berry feast, he could feel it again... Must have been a real intense one, to pass out so deeply. The indulgent mouse still could not remember anything else of his day, nor did he even know what time of day it was. He laboriously looked up to find the sky, which struck him as odd, since he was so used to sleeping on his back. Regardless, the Raichu identified an orange glow between the leaves above. Midday, it seemed ? Bother, predators are up and about at that time... In that case, he decided it was best to get moving... soon, at least. Predators were unlikely to jump him if he took just... an extra minute there...

As Oran regained more of his senses, he began realising his movements were... limited. At least more than an excessive feast usually made them. He couldn't move his arms to push himself off the ground, only wiggle his rear paws in the air, and his tail felt very odd too. Kind of stuck in place, not frozen but rather warm, and wet, and--that is when he heard it, an equally wet sound, followed by his paddling paw stopped as it hit something very, very much alive. His panic merely managing to clear the fog in his eyes, the Raichu put all his efforts into bending his body to look behind him, only to identify some colours blocking his vision : a deep leaf-like green, cutting into a lighter, minty shade of the colour. Oh, no...

Finally, the mouse started understanding what was happening to him. He even started remembering, how he had let his guard down in his buffet, and only noticed the exceptionally large serpentine silhouette too late, and its deep, deep stare... And now, his body was held in its coils, and his tail already down its throat. A... Serperior, is what this Pokémon was called, Oran remembered... An incredibly thick one at that, with just two coils being vastly enough to completely hold the poor Raichu, keeping him waiting in its predatory grip. And predatory too was the deep chuckle that came from behind the helpless mouse, before he felt the wetness of the snake's maw slide over his legs and envelop him in a humid tightness. His kicks being contained only elicited more struggle from the unfortunate prey.

-- H-hey, what do you think you're... doing ! stuttered Oran. You... You let me go, and right now !

He did not get a response, which was understandable considering the serpent had his maw busy with the mouse's generous hips, and soon approaching bloated belly as well, the muscular traction keeping him on the path his long tail had already taken. The Raichu now properly tugged out of his drowsiness, his resisting kicked up in vigour, although not much in effectiveness. He attempted to free his arms, which, tied to his sides, were not currently giving him much leverage, when his attention was drawn to the vine rising in front of his eyes. Oran recognised the round end as the Serperior's tail, and simply resumed his restricted kicking, not paying it more mind than that. He was however forced to acknowledge it once more when the appendage lunged towards him, pressing itself against his lips.

-- Mmmph ?!? Ffget offph mme, yo--glk !

Protesting so vocally proved to be a poor choice, as it made the Serperior's goal even more of a breeze, the tail slipping itself into the confines' of the mouse's mouth. He froze then, paralysed by the sudden intrusion, shocked to feel the appendage push more and more of itself inside him, completely unchallenged. It was increasing in girth as it did so, holding the helpless Raichu's maw wide open as it began reaching deeper. Oran's eyes shot wide open as he felt that it was not only his mouth that was being filled, but also his throat. The dexterous vine slid down into him until it completely blocked his breathing, choking him mercilessly as Oran could feel the round tip curl up deep in his throat. He jerked, or at least tried to, desperate to free a limb--anything that could help him pull out the green that invaded even his field of view. But still struggling yielded no effect, even less now that his oxygen was not renewed. While his muscles tired, the Serperior calmly kept swallowing at a relaxed pace. The Raichu could swear those lips were smirking around his sides.

Running out of options, and now of air, Oran tried everything at his disposal, but all that did was explicit just how helpless he found himself in his predicament. His mind even considered pleading for mercy, but all that came out of it was a hardly audible groan. Even with the ravenous gulps getting louder, even with his fur permeated in saliva almost up to his shoulders, even with his vision fading to black because of his choking, Oran could not believe this was happening. There just, had to be a way, there would be a good outcome for him. He couldn't just be swallowed whole by the serpent, and vanish deep within it... No, there just HAD to be a way out of this.

Still, Oran's vision was getting blurrier by the second, and his struggle had long since stopped, with his body so exhausted and unable to refresh. He did not even react to the forked tongue teasingly reaching out to poke at his chin, lying still in the smothering hold. How deep in was he even ? He could hardly tell, but there was a tingling at the edges of his head... When suddenly, the tail was yanked out of his mouth, leaving with a loud "pop !" and leaving spit to drip over the Raichu. Immediately his instincts kicked in, and he took a deep breath in, replenishing his lungs with the ever so precious air. On the merge of losing consciousness just a moment ago, he felt his mind spark up with a surge of awareness, and it only took a few seconds for him to realise that only his face was free of the reptile's maw--and from the looks of it, still sinking.

-- P-please, he gasped out in distress, don't... Please wait, just wait a second g-great Serperior, don't swallmpphmmfff...

Begging predator, even to merely stall, was unsurprisingly fruitless, for as the snake stood upright, an ample pull of its powerful throat and a taunting push of its tail steadily sent the prey sliding down its throat, already past the gullet. The coils keeping Oran in prime consuming position had been tight, but the inner hold of the predator viciously clamped around his frame, pushing against his body until not one spot was free of the fleshy, slimy pressure urging him down towards the endless darkness within. The mouse tried protesting and pleading more, but with the creature's inner walls pressed neatly against his face, there was little room for words to come out. Ironically enough, with its mouth now free, the Serperior regained its ability to talk, and that first manifested itself with a deep, rumbling chuckle that vibrated all around poor Oran.

-- Aaaaah... The second I laid my eyes into yours, I knew you were snake food. Even from afar, you seemed like a morsel I s~s~simply could not pass up ! I must say, I am not one bit disappointed... You're gonna add soooo much fat to me~

The Raichu tried to ignore the snake's sibilant tormenting, but he had no way to avoid it. Even with his ears covered by the ever-shifting and groaning insides of the Serperior, Oran could perfectly make out its words. And he was also subjected to its movements, as he found out when a shift around him forced him to arch uncomfortably, mirroring the bending of the snake's much more supple body.

-- Ooooh, yeah, you make a fine bulge in me, it observed with open satisfaction. Not many preys still show through my girth, you know. But you are one fat mouse, tss~ss~ss~ss~. Don't worry, I won't let that go to waste. I'll be sure to proudly keep you on display until my fatter coils envelop you, or you add to them--whichever comes first~

After another chortle reverberated itself around the tired Raichu, he felt the world around him fall, followed by the body of the Serperior hitting the ground in a nonchalant, meaty impact, showing no concern for the prey inside. Oran was then swayed by the serpentine slither of his captor, which is when he realised he had no good feeling of up and down anymore, and the only way he could tell which way was deeper was by trailing where his tail got lost into. Feeling so lost and helpless, the mouse realised that he was starting to resign himself to his doom. In the pitch black warmth where the snake quite literally bent him to its will, ears filled with the sounds of being slid against the walls of this living tunnel, he began growing complacent like earlier that day, thoughts becoming number and eyes lidding...

The snake stopped, and Oran felt himself lifted.

-- Hey, you are not giving up yet, are you ?

It suddenly felt heavier in Oran's prison, as if a terrible cover draped itself over his weakened self. Come to think of it, it was probably what was happening...

-- Come on, don't you want to see the sun rise again tomorrow ? Don't you have a crave to live, a need to... breathe ?~

On that cue, everything around clenched inward, making it all so tight, even pressing Oran's face unbearably close against those surfaces, once again blocking his breathing. Remembering the great discomfort he had previously experienced, he tried to push himself away from the pressure on his front, but through its throat the snake had a complete loop coiled around him, and that meant pressure behind too. The Raichu felt the dark veil of unconsciousness tiptoeing back to him, and panicked, wiggling desperately in the suffocating confines, trying to get away from the alarming tightness, even pushing himself deeper in his attempts to escape.

-- Theeere we go, resonated the Serperior's voice as the pressure faded slightly. I knew you had some fight left in you. There's a rule for those who stay in this house : no stopping entertaining me until you hit the s~s~stomach~

As a deep and proud chuckle resonated, the mouse felt his body bent by the snake's movements once more, lying exhausted in the slithering hold. But every now and then, an insisting push would force him to shake off his torpor and fight for his right to breathe, basic as it might have seemed to him before this whole ordeal. His body was rocked back and forth and side to side with no apparent caution for him, every movement causing a squishy sound as he was pressed against the inner walls of the snake, some of the deepest parts of it now. Oran could even feel his long tail bunch up ahead of him, unable to proceed any further, having reached the place where the predator wanted him. He thought to himself that this was it, that it would not be long before his entire body was trapped in the voracious Pokémon's stomach... Defeated, the Raichu had his body limp, arms drifting at his sides in the directions they were pushed in, hips motionless as they were kneaded to pull the plump meal deeper. Even when the smothering presses came, the mouse had no more energy to fight it, and moreover, no spirit to challenge his impending doom. After all of his resisting, all the while weighed by his past feast and weakened by the snake's unwavering assaults, his body reacted the way it thought appropriate : requesting a much needed nap. With the wet walls around him squeezing in dizzying spirals, suppressing entirely any sense of gravity, the Raichu felt his eyes shut despite his best efforts--which, to be fair, were neglectable by then. Around Oran's hips the tightness relaxed, and his rump was pressed against the haphazardous heap his tail had formed. In the complete darkness, the prey could feel the entrance of the snake's stomach close after allowing him inside, and he still was too exhausted to produce any kind of struggle. The loose room he was trapped in emitted strangle bubbling sounds, and soon, it was not that loose anymore. Growing louder, closer by the second, it steadily approached the outline of the prey, engulfing the filling mouse into a skintight embrace, sealing him in the predator's hungry core. Completely enveloped, pushed by the ever-shifting and ominous chamber, Oran accepted his defeat. By now, it was quite clear that the Serperior had proved its might over him, and no fighting could get him out of this situation. Having understood this, and being so drowsy, he let his consciousness escape him, getting lost in this rumbling and groaning place...

-- Well, turns out you were not quite fat enough to still bulge out in my thicker coils, hmm ?

The Serperior rubbed its cheek against the coil where the Raichu was kept, just in time to catch a feeble "Chu..." before it was drowned out in the concert of its inner workings. Indeed, as plump as the prey was, only the serpent could tell where the mouse was, or rather feel where he was. The snake easily beat the mouse in terms of fat. Now it rested up in a tree, where it would remain undisturbed--but, as promised, it kept its full belly proudly hanging under a branch for all to see. Running its tail over it, the predator sighed :

-- Haven't had a prey as large as you in a while, big guy. Dear, does it feel heavenly to have you tucked in there~

The snake gave a push to its hanging coil with its tail, watching the metronome rock back and forth. With the added weight, it swung remarkably well. The Serperior liked to think this lulled its prey, since it was best for them to be asleep approaching that stage. Still, a prey still alive in the deepest of its digestive system... Nothing in the world beat that feeling.

-- You know... heh, you're probably long passed out by now. But, tell you what, I might just keep you around. You know, for another go at this... Well, definitely not just one.

Snakeskin rustled against wood as the serpent dragged its prize up to the branch, lodging it against the trunk and sitting its head atop the comfortable pillow. It closed its eyes and rubbed its head until the perfect spot was found, cooing afterwards :

-- I think I'll think about it during my nap, and make my call when I wake up. Well, if you're still around by then, of course. Don't get me too cozy now, tss~ss~ss~ss~ss~
