Part 6 : Reflections

Sky let off a sigh as he stepped up to the guard by Beelzebub's door, it had been a few days since battle at the now levelled Neko kingdom- I Umm...I was just wondering if lord Beelzebub has awoken yet -he winced internally as the guard glared down at him- if she'd like to come and see my friend at the hospital in the mortal realm...-The guard opened his mouth but was interrupted as the door opened revealing Bethany in her mortal disguise- She is awake, but weak, however despite my urgings not for her to go, she'll go with you. -she glared at Sky-

Sky blinked as he saw Beth in her mortal guise- And how are you doing? you took a beating as well -she'd notice right off the bat that Sky didn't have his wings still- About as well as the rest of us. We are, as they say, in deep shit-Sky nodded slowly then glanced over Beth's shoulder for a moment- Is she really sure about going? he's umm.. -he spoke softly- not a pretty sight..-she snorted- Beelzebub and I have seen horrors of which would make your weak Angel stomach vomit.

Sky glared at her- ...you know what I mean..."She" lost it when B was beaten almost to death.-Bethany blinked realizing what he men't- Oh right well ... let us hope she does not burn the hospital down then, oui?-Sky sighed then glanced over her shoulder once more- well, I am ready when you are M'lord.-Bethany looked over her shoulder to see a weary and beaten Beelzebub, still wrapped in gauze, standing behind her.- Lead me to him McCloud.

Sky sighed- okay, I'll keep the doctors and nurses at bay if I need to...-he stepped back with Beelzebub as the shaft of energy engulfed the two, when they arrived she was facing away from the bed, it was a semi private room. As she turned she saw "him" lying there, hooked up to various instruments that hummed and beeped softly, worst of all was his head had been totally wrapped up slightly in bandages like a casting, openings for his eyes, nose for the oxygen tubes, and partially for his mouth with had a tube inserted, nothing more than a shadow of his former self- I'll go and see if the doctors have any answers for me...

-Beelzebub nodded as she forced herself, painfully, into her mortal guise.- Very well.-he nodded then poked his head out of the curtain before exiting leaving her alone, then the curtain opened again as of all people to step in was Dixie. : How's the kid doing? -Beelzebub shook her head unsure- You may know better than I. -she replied without looking away from B-man, Dixie then questioned- How are you doing?-Beelzebub spoke in a flat tone-Only slightly better. -she replied-Sky spoke next - We're coming in, I have the doctor with me.. uhh.. he wants to speak to the next of kin-she looked to Sky- You're the closest thing he has to a family.

Slowly the curtain slid open as a woman dressed in the usual type of doctors outfit stepped in, he nodded to Beelzebub then Dixie- Told you doc, they are just friends -the doctor nodded slowly as she looked at the chart in her hands- Unfortunate, we have been very busy and I haven't fully read up on his case file. -she thumbed through some more sheets-...do you want the short version?...-Sky nodded slowly as the doctor let off a sigh- He's got a good portion of his bones broken, lacerations, muscle bruising, but one more thing -she flipped the page once more- We've had to induce a coma, and he's on life support as well. -Sky's throat tightened as she continued- The bottom line doctor?

She looked up into Sky's eyes, clearly the answer wasn't good- Depending....if in a month he doesn't respond after we take him out of the coma then we can only assume major brain damage has occurred, the next of Kin has to make that decision when the time comes..-just then the P.A. sounded- "Doctor Cobrane please come to emergency" -she sighed- I'm sorry -she nodded to the group then left as she was called away again, Sky promptly slid the curtain back in place-

-Belle's right eye twitched-.... it's your call McCloud..-Sky's hands clenched into fists, he didn't know what to do-...we have a month...-She snorted- ... I'll have to look to see if there's a way to bypass his curse. I'm the Devil, I should be able to break some damned Succubus' curse-Sky turned slowly as he looked at his friend laying there, then glanced at Beelzebub for a moment, then he motioned to Dixie- Let's...give her a minute huh? -moving back he left Beelzebub alone with B-man for a bit

-Dixie exhaled then nodded- Alright ... -she followed Sky out, in the hallway out of earshot Sky leaned back on a nearby wall, looking like hell with the dilemma he was under- It's not supposed to be like this...-turning his gaze to Dixie he took his head slowly- it isn't supposed to be...-Dixie then ordered- Then do something about it. Action always speaks louder the words kid, you've got to do something about this. You're an angel, can't you get the big man upstairs to show some leniency?

Sky hissed as he stood up normally- The "big" man doesn't give a damn as far as I can tell, Beelzebub was right, he is nothing more than a passive...-he sighed then focused-....we have a month...when the time comes then I will make a decision.. -Dixie grunted-Or you can use a month to try and find a way to help. -then she smiled- I'll try and help however I can, you know that.

Sky nodded- thanks Dixie, but I know i'm not strong enough to take Lucifer, let alone his wife. -he sighed and leaned in whispering- My wings aren't growing back, whatever she did to me seems to be permanent. Then again lest to grab, plus this always get ripped out anyway... -She snorted- Lilith was always a bitch .... -she shook her head- her magic is ancient and vile ... maybe second only to Oggstrosse's darkness

Sky sighed then looked back to the closed curtain, he couldn't imagine what Beelzebub was feeling. Back in the room Beelzebub could see his chest rising and falling as air was being forced into his lungs due to his injuries, Beelzebub exhaled slowly- I'm so sorry this happened to you ... If I could, I'd trade places with you, magic or no magic.-it seemed like such a short period of time she was there by his bedside, then the curtain slowly opened, it was sky- Sorry but the nurses need to check on him for a bit...

Beelzebub closed her eyes and inhaled, held her breath for exactly five seconds, then exhaled slowly- .... alright. -she opened her eyes and stood up before making her way towards Skk, Who stepped aside as a couple of nurses walked past them and started to tend to B-man, he was limp, and his skin was pale as death- Come on McCloud, we all have work to do. -she growled into his mind before continuing on, Sky winced slightly then looked at the nurses- thanks, I'll stop by when I can to check up -he turned back and started to follow Beelzebub-

Sky paused for a second before leaving with Beelzebub, he glanced over at Dixie- going to stay awhile with him? -he glanced back as the nurses closed the curtains to work on B-man- I might, you know ... keep an eye on the kid. -she shrugged- Hey uh ... I'll call you if anything happens -she paused in thought- nevermind neither of you have a phone.-Sky nodded- Thanks Dixie, you always seem to be there for him. -Sky turned around and followed Beelzebub out, just as the nurses finished up with B-man another doctor walked in to check up on B-man- oh pardon me Ma'am -he looked at the read outs...then a thought came, she could extract for information on B-mans real condition-

Uh Doctor ... I need to know, what's actually wrong with him? No one's been able to tell me. -she said in a pleading tone, the doctor blinked - Well I don't....-his mind wavered slightly as he spoke as if under a trance-...Kids really beat up...not sure of the other doctor told you...but they aren't sure if he will live once we take him out of the coma, and life support...-it turned that much more grim then- even if he lives, he will be under constant pain all of his life.

Dixie nodded slowly- Thank you Doctor. -she blinked ending her hypnotism- Do take care of him will you? A lot of people care for him.-the Doctor blinked a few times- er.. yes...we'll do our best Ma'am. -he turned back finished taking some notes on B-man's chart then moved over to the next patient. Dixie...Freya... looked away- The mortal is weakened m'lord, his life is but a thread, if he survives he will be weak. Shall I step in?

Oggstrosse's voice filled her mind- No, not yet. The mortal likely has guards hidden in plain sight, the Dragon and the Lord himself won't be leaving their favourite toy alone without protection. Gather information for now. -Freya mentally nodded- And how are the traitors?-Oggstrosse replied- They live, they are healing well, as I expected, they still have no idea that I know about their little assassin. Keep up the good work Freya, you will be rewarded in time, I promise you that.-Dixie blushed a deep red, biting her bottom lip with excitement-Thank you m'lord, I won't fail you.

Outside before they teleported Sky stepped in mid stride-..M'lord?-she paused and looked at him strangely- I am not your lord McCloud, you don't need me to refer to me as that.-Sky shrugged slightly- formality -with a sigh he made up his mind- I'm going to B's dojo, I need to check on something. -She raised a brow- Let Gabriel and myself know if you find anything. -with that she vanished into hell flames- yeah... -he turned back to look at the hospital before vanished in some brilliant energy, seconds later he stepped out into his friends dojo, specifically the training area- Now...where are those scrolls?....

-In hell Beelzebub marched into her library and began to search for curses and anti-curses- There must be something in here!-her brother Yahweh's voice broke her concentration- Beelzebub? -she roared, flames exhaling from her mouth-WHAT?!-Her brother side stepped her flames which impacted the doors to her library- easy now!-she glared at him- What do you want?-With a brow raised he strolled over to her table, he glanced at the scattering of texts- Your...-he was about to "mortal" but thought better of it- boyfriends curse I take it? -she could feel her cheeks warm up and it wasn't from her fire- He's not my boyfriend.

With a heavy sigh he shook his head-...very well...-he turned serious- the mortals near death caused a great change in you, we witnessed the fight. -his eyes narrowed- you're the first of your kind in a while to obtain such a form, if Lucifer is truly going to take both heaven and hell, you need to control it.-she clenched her fists- All I recall is an immense feeling of rage then I wake up in my room. -she looked at him- But that doesn't matter right now, we need to find a way to help him ... we both owe it to him. -she glared at her brother- Now do you know the curse which was used upon him or by whom?

Yahweh shook his head slightly- I haven't had a chance to check into it, heaven is a mess but as your brother I will look into it. -turning away from her he began to walk out of her library, he paused for a moment then looked back to his sister- Beelzebub, you need to let this go. Even if you find a way to unlock his curse, with Lucifer around none of us is safe, then there is Oggstrosse as well. the power you had far surpasses my own, you need to think as they say " of the big picture" -He vanished in a instant, though sadly he was perfectly correct, her duty demanded it of her, yet her heart ached more than ever-

Beelzebub snarled- DAMN YOUR BIG PICTURE! -she roared exhaling flames furiously to the ceiling- ... You and your shining empire can CRUMBLE for all I care! -she got back to her books, growling angrily all the while, hours passed and yet it seemed like an instant, nothing, nothing and more of nothing. Before she knew it she had teleported to B-man's dojo, his scent still lingered despite him not living there for a few months, then she heard Sky curse from inside the dojos training area-

McCloud! -she called out, and stepped inside, grimacing slightly and followed the sound of Sky's voice, Sky jumped as he dropped the scrolls- Ah JEEZE!..-he calmed down-Beelzebub? What are you doing here?-she snarled in frustration then forced herself to calm down-I found nothing on his curse. But I'll keep looking, there must be some counter curse. What've you found?

Sky sighed then walked over the doorway to the training area/living room/dining room- I was just looking over the scrolls he had, you know that fighting art he uses? -he chuckled- been brushing up on the languages...but -he growled- it's for mortal users. -Beelzebub nodded, remembering some times when she had been summoned to the mortal realm-That doesn't surprise me. Mortals have long sought to fight those they usually cannot. That technique is just one of many ways, They have created magics against our kinds, forged armours and crafted weapons.

Sky nodded slowly then came to grips with the situation- I won't be much help at all if we fight them again -his mind wandered as he placed the scrolls down- Unless -she raised a brow-Unless?-Sky turned back to her, what he spewed seemed insane- If I was made mortal again I could learn the Kayo-Ken, Tengoku-ken and even the Denjin hadouken. I Mean I could take more punishment because of my species over B and...- The look of desperation on his face was heartbreaking, but then that subsided as Sky's shoulders slumped- and what's the use..

-she shook her head- ... that's even if you're master allows you to return to the living, don't forget Sky, you're not just an angel ... you're dead-Sky nodded slowly- yeah...and my body is buried next to our Sifu..-he glanced outside to a larger tree with the tombstones- It's up to you now really Beelzebub.-Her expression said it before she spoke-I'm the Devil McCloud, I'm no hero.-Sky looked down- ....we kind of relied on "him" quite a bit huh?...without knowing it in some cases.-Then he looked at her questioningly- Do you really love him?.

-Beelzebub looked away for a moment staring at the scenery outside of B-man's home, the lake lined with forest landscape, stark contrast to the battlefield from a few days back, her mind focused again - I don't know. Right now I'd rather have him alive and well as my friend than have him as a dead ... something more.-she sighed- ... I need to hold a meeting with some people ... you are invited ... but only you from Heaven, not my brother, not Gabriel nor his brethren, just you.

Sky's ears perked up- okay, what's on your mind?-Beelzebub turned back to Sky-... nothing yet, its obvious now we're going to need ... help.-Sky blinked as they teleported back to Hell, They ended up in what appeared to be a war-like room, one of Belle's generals turned upon sensing their arrival- I have need of some scouts ... -she stepped up to her general, her hand ablaze before a scroll appeared by magic- send them out to the scouts and have them do what is written. I want to hear back when we get replies.-Sky blinked wondering what she was planning, it happened all so quickly he couldn't make out the writing, Belle turned to Sky- In the meantime, you can assist me in searching for either an anti-curse ... or, something of use to aid our friend.

Sky nodded slowly- well lead on -but he couldn't help but ask-...what exactly was that? -Belle turned and began to walk towards her library- a message of summons ... this has never been done before -she looked at him- none of us have ever been this desperate.-SKy stopped realizing just how desperate it was-....Oggstrosse?..-she snorted- As if I'd ask for his help after all he has done. No .. I knew not of Oggstrosse but I know of Lucifer, and he himself was seriously bad news ... with him and Oggstrosse on the loose, none of us knowing where either is ... there are others who may be willing to listen and offer their help.

Sky nodded slowly as he continued to follow her- Others huh? I hope we luck out...-Belle nodded- All we can do is ask -she exhaled heavily and opened the door to her library- ... my library is vast but I don't have everything, and I'm not asking other demon lords for a favour, you never ask a Demon of any sort for a favour, remember that McCloud.

Sky slowly nodded- by the way M'Lord?...mind if we drop the formalities? -he smiled slightly- call me Sky.-she looked at him- ... I did drop formalities with you McCloud.-Sky shrugged- guess that is as good as i'm going to get....-Belle looked back to the bookshelf where she had left off- For the time being it is how I prefer to call you. If I get to know you better, I may call you by your given name.-Sky sighed as she led him into her library, soon enough they were back at it- Sky: good thing I don't need to sleep I suppose...

You're younger than I am ... much younger, you may see something among these books I haven't ... -she looked him dead in the eye- We need to heal him Sky, and I'd rather not resort to my plan B.-Sky blinked- Plan B? -Beelzebub didn't take her eye off the book she had picked up -If he awakens I make a "contract" with him ... -Sky sighed then put his head back into the books, the hours passed once more yet from time to time her mind slipped as she remembered the times she spend cuddling with B-man as she did her work-

-She exhaled sharply and rubbed her eyes- Have you found anything?-Sky who was on the upper level of her library let off a sigh as he popped a book back into its place- no, no, and no. -Sky looked down and over to her from the railing- I got one more shelf to go through, what about you?-She exhaled slowly- Same as before, my mother could undo it without a thought but "she can't interfere with mortals" -she said snidely-

Sky nodded slowly then turned back and picked up another book- yeah..I guess she has her reasons for it of course.

-she snorted- I'm sure she does. Damn it all! -she cursed, loudly putting a book back in its place- Freaking curses! You'd think I'd be the fucking Master of curses! But I can barely pick up his curse if I wasn't specifically looking for it. So whomever did it, is either an ancient professional or a rank amateur!

Sky shrugged some as he jumped down with the last stack of books, then walked over to a spare table and sat down- I don't know any part of his life at the time, I mean hell I didn't see him since the first fight with Wolf for I think almost five years.-Her Brows twitched - Your best friend and you barely know him -she muttered aloud as she started on another book, Sky sighed then started to scan through the pages once more, once again it all seemed fruitless- nothing, nothing, and more nothing

this is hopeless...

This is ridiculous! -she snarled- Thousands of tombs and I have nothing! -she turned to Sky- Don't you have any clue as to who cast this curse?-Sky shook his head- I just said I didn't see Brandon for almost five years since our fight with Wolf when we were young teens. so... like between 2002, to 2007. -she rolled her eyes- Uh! And he never once mentioned who or what?-Sky grunted- oh come on, in the time you spent with him as he ever really mentioned his past? He's a private guy, maybe he just doesn't want to let people know his past for a reason. I don't know, maybe not to have pity on him? or not to let others on the mortal world know of such things?

-she rolled her eyes- I sometimes forget you mortals have a flair for the dramatic-Sky growled- Hey we haven't lived hundreds of thousands of years .-she looked at him with a raised brow- Neither have I.-it was Sky's turn to roll his eyes- you know damn well what I mean. -he looked at the rest of the books in disgust- this is a waste of time.

Agreed -she sighs- ... perhaps plan B may be what is needed. -she cracked her stiff neck then looked to the door- I hope something good comes of this day.-Sky grimaced- can't it wait? and how is he supposed to "sign"?-Beelzebub put the last few books she had away but continued to speak- as I said, if he awakens.-Sky scratched one of his ears in annoyance- right...well for the time being I guess I should get to my training.

-She nodded- Contact me when you're done. Anything telepathic done in heaven can be heard by Yahweh.-Sky shook his head slightly- a small fry like me doesn't matter to him. -he turned and made his way to the door- good luck with that "war" form of yours.-she rolled her eyes- I hope you weren't that much of a whiny bitch in life. No wonder he never told you anything.

Sky stopped in mid step-...at least I had a life -Sky glared at her before vanishing in a shaft of light she snorted at the remark- ... like I haven't heard that one before.she turned and scanned the entirety of her library with eyes, then looked away- Damn it all.-Instead of heading to heaven Sky returned to the hospital, soon enough he was in the ward, nothing much had changed at all, new sheets, a fresh I.V. drip, he didn't find Dixie of course, so he just made himself comfortable and took a seat next to his friend-

Elsewhere Lucifer grimaced as Lilith tended to his wounds- That blasted demoness -he growled- ... I could smell Azazel all over her, likely one of his bastard children.-Lilith adjusted some of the bandages- Do not worry sir, all of our enemies are still weakened, and clueless. They pose no threat to us.-Lucifer grunted- I made that mistake once Lilith, I shall not make it again. This world will be mine, no one till stop me, not a draconic bitch, not a fledgling angel cat, not Gabriel! And not OGGSTROSSE! -he seethed with fury- Mother will learn I was right. Then she will be the one to beg me forgiveness.

Lilith patted Lucifer's wounds with magical healing salts- Soon m'lord, I have others going about doing as you have ordered, soon ... very soon. All will be ready.-Lucifer could only smile with dark delight-Oh yes ... excellent Lilith, excellent work.

-After spending a few more minutes in the library, Beelzebub made her way back to the war room, opening the door she looked to one of her Generals-Is there any news yet?-The general shook his flaming head- no M'lord, not as of yet. the scouts should be reaching the areas you ordered them too soon. -she exhaled- I grow impatient and weary, -she rubbed her eyes- anything new to report?

Sky's eyes snapped open, had he actually fallen asleep?- hmm? -he glanced over as he heard rustling of sheets- B? -his eyes focused but it wasn't what he thought, a nurse was just finishing up with another inspection- Oh, I beg your pardon, just checking his read outs -she smiled, Sky nodded in return- need me to go? -she shook her head- No it's fine. just finishing up -Sky nodded then watched the nurse leave, but paused in mid breath as he saw Devidra-Hello fledgling.

-Sky's breath was caught in his throat for a split second before he rose to his feet- M'lady -he bowed then looked back to his friend, she nodded at the formal gesture- No need, but I appreciate the thought.-he nodded slowly then moved slightly to let her sit if she wanted too, but clearly he wasn't interested in talking to her Or at least that is how he tried to make it look- I know what you want to say Sky, just say it.

-Sky glanced over at her- What is there to say M'lady? -he looked back to his fallen friend, he was about to say something else when he felt another presence. Turning back he saw Gabriel- I'm not going back, I can't make a difference and you know it.-Gabriel glared at the younger angel- You are dealing with creatures the likes have not set foot on this world for over a millennia Sky, this isn't wolf or some demonically enhanced mortal ... we're dealing with nightmares on an apocalyptic scale, every warrior, every solider is needed.

Sky turned with his fang bared, yet it didn't effect the elder angel- I'm not a warrior nor a solider that can make difference. -he stopped himself then glanced back to B-man, whirling back to Gabriel with something else to say he stopped knowing it wouldn't make a difference what he said - I just need to check his home before I go up..-Gabriel looked over Sky towards Devidra who spoke-Go back Gabriel and prepare for the worst.-Gabriel reluctantly obeyed - Very well m'lady. -he vanished-

Devidra looked to Sky then gestured- Sky, it down please.-Sky froze then looked back-...are you reading my thoughts now?..-she shook her head slowly then focused on him- I can read everything Sky, everything. -... Do you know what the difference is between you and your friend here?-Skys hands clenched into fists- go ahead..say it...-Devidra's eyes locked onto the young Nekos - I want you to say it. Do you even actually know?

-it was just a jumble in his head- I'm not him...and I can never be him...he's done all the leg work..and I... I just sit on the damn side lines, and no matter how hard I try I just can't make up for all the...-he went silent, Devidra picked up the point-The difference between you both, is very simple, He keeps going regardless of the situation he finds himself in, regardless of the threat. -Sky's shoulder slumped-...ever since that day with Wolf......I......

-Devidra nodded- Here you are now, doing the same thing again.-he glanced once more to his friend, he looked limp and pale as death-...I'm afraid...-she raised a brow- And your friend wasn't? -Sky shook his head-No...he was...but broke through it all. -Devidra nodded- Yes, Your friend here, lying comatose, has stood up to monsters, monsters of which outclassed him in every way.

Sky leaned slowly onto the bed frame, his heart sank- I've lost my drive...who I used to be...-Devidra waited a moment then prompted - Do you know why you're an angel Sky?-he looked up at her slowly then shook his head- No...sometimes I ask myself why I got the...the "easy" way out..

In Heaven, Yahweh and the Arch Angels see the greatest potential of an individual. Not everyone who dies has a chance to become an angel. You're a fighter Sky, a warrior. You've just bottled it up, allowed fear to conquer you despite being given access to power beyond your previously mortal comprehension. You need to stand up to the dark, otherwise it wins regardless of how much power it holds. Young mister Devlin here may have been outmatched by Oggstrosse in their battles, but he overcome and he persevered and he won.

So I suggest you stop coddling your friend like a dog whimpering for its master and go be the man you were meant to be. -A tear slowly ran down his cheeks as he looked at his friend- B, I'm going to make up for it all I swear it...-his mind raced as he though back to the scrolls, if he could only use those techniques for a short while if they could find Lucifer, some how he needed to do it then it struck him, with a heavy sigh he nodded-...thank you Devidra....-he bowed- pardon me -he stepped back from the bed and vanished-

-Devidra looked over to B-Man- Wake up Mister Devlin, I want a word with you.-deep with in B-man's mind his "eyes" snapped opened- W...where am I? -Devidra voices echoed through his mind- In your mind ... sort of.-B-man replied, unsure of what he was experiencing- I can't feel anything -Devidra appeared before him- Believe me its a blessing, and I'm in no mood to preform miracles right now. I have to admit Mister Devlin out of all my children, you are definitely something.

B-man felt something else then he looked down at his body, seemingly healed but of course he knew it was just a cruel illusion of his own mind- yeah... something -Devidra slowly stepped up to him, looking over his body- why is it, two immortals, one of which is an all mighty demon seem to think the world of you?-she stepped right up to him and shamelessly cupped his crotch-

OUF! HEY! -he jerked back but felt himself hit a "wall"- what the hell are you doing? -Devidra's seemed dissatisfied with what she felt- Hmmmm ... I've felt bigger.-B-man winced- so what? not like i'm ever going to use it. -her brow knit slightly- Hmm... sure. -she let go of him- ... then tell me what it is that draws them to you.-he blinked clearly confused- how should I know? -he was clearly confused at the question not sure just what brought it up- what two immortals? Beelzebub and Sky? -she nodded- Indeed.

I...-he took a "breath" but had no answer- I'm not sure...-looking down and to the left he remembered the beating he took, that just bought more guilt to the surface, around them images of the horrors he had witnessed flashed in a panorama , she looked around- ... Hmm. You know mister Devlin, I love my daughter. I really do. I just find it hard to show these days. My love has been betrayed, time and time again, to the point I just feel ... hollow.

Understandable.-he blinked then put a hand over his mouth- I mean...-Devidra let it slide- I know your entire life Mister Devlin, there's nothing you can hide from me.-he nodded- yeah...being though the ringer like I have I can relate...well not to the extent you have been through but, -his mind trailed off to the moments he spent with Beelzebub- I had a nice time with her and I thought...-his breath grew sharp all of a sudden at the trauma he had endured only a couple of days ago, his heart rate skyrocketed as panic set in, the torture, day after day, hour after hour, relentless agony-

-all that came to a stop when Devidra snapped her fingers, drawing his focus- ... thought of what Mister Devlin?-his eyes were wide as he looked at he-that it would finally be nice to be with someone I didn't have to worry about...-his lips quivered- I didn't think anyone wanted me, but with her..I felt...I felt like I was wanted for a change. -Devidra gave a knowing smile- ... and so its out in the open.-there still deep pain in his eyes at something else- but it's causing more trouble than anything.

Why would you say that? -she questioned as she slowly walked around him, he rubbed his forehead- he... he wanted to know how I beat Oggstrosse, and to use it for himself to not only get at Yahweh but at Belle as well -he blinked as it was a slip as he mentioned her by her "pet" name- that curse though stopped him..

-Devidra asked- a simple curse stopped Lucifer?-he blinked then asked knowing he might not get a reply- it's a simple curse? -She didn't really reply how he expected- Stopped among the most powerful of magic users on this planet?-he shrugged slightly- he said he couldn't read me...so he just beat me

You and I both know the truth about the curse, don't we? -she paused deciding to drop it for the moment- ... there are dark times a head Mister Devlin. Sky has found his courage, Heaven and Hell are preparing for war and Beelzebub is gathering like-minded allies. I don't know how this world will end, many cultures and Gods have apparently prophesied its end. But I know, what is to come ... the world could truly end.

-B-man nodded slowly, but then asked-Before I passed out I felt something...something terrible...was it Belle?...-she stepped back- ... In many demons, there's a hint of -she paused of how to best describe it to a mortal mind- ... let's call it "humanity" for simplicities sake. Beelzebub as terrible and as powerful as she has known to be in the past still held on to this "humanity" ... but in the moment, she let it all go, all inhibitions and simply allowed the darkness in her soul to truly take over, a rage unlike many others.

She went -he tried to think of a word- Berserk over me?-his "look" had a hint of terror to it, Devidra nodded- She did, it was heart warming in its own way.-Devidra looked off towards the endless horizon, a tiny smile on her face, she was silent for what seemed a few minutes-I can still remember the first time she arrived in Hell, freshly dead and damned. You know she looked nothing like she does now? -B-man blinked and shook his head, then he shrugged slightly- I bet she was happy to be rid of her old body, we humans can be -he "swallowed" hard- worse than demons at times...

She didn't remember her old life, her old body, as such her form at the time was featureless, imagine a mannequin if you will. Solid black no features on it at all. Her death agonizing and unjust, and yet they damned her. I don't know why, maybe I felt sorry for her, but I took her under my wing so to speak, trained her myself with what I thought appropriate, and slowly that featureless humanoid shifted into a reptile, and then into the fierce dragon you know.

-Devidra chuckled softly- I still remember her smile and her joy when she became what she is today. She thanked me so heavily, she told me she loved me.-Devidra shut her eyes tightly, tears running down her face, B-man asked another question, but hoped he wasn't out of line-And yet now she finds you to be an annoyance?-Devidra nodded slowly-Yes. Because I refuse to intervene, even when her life was in danger, because now I just get in the way. -she looked to him- ... I think I'd give anything to hear her say she loves me, even if just one more time.

Devidra swallowed heavily-... maybe ... just maybe you're my chance. -B-man nodded slowly then shrugged- well, you already know I don't have a family. I don't know my mother or father, everything seemed to have been erased. -once more his shoulders slumped- I said she was lucky to have you as a mother but she just scoffed at it, then again she has a few hundred years on me. -she nodded- and I have a couple of billion years on you both.

well...who knows if I'll even ...-he shook his head- this is all just something in my head anyway isn't it? if I will even wake up...-she pulled her knees up to her chest, yet stayed afloat, and wrapped her arms around them, she was silent for another minute- ... Do you know any parents Mr Devlin? I already know, but I simply like making conversation...-he shook his head once more-...well outside of Sky's parents, not really. my Sifu was more of just a teacher than anything, not someone I would call a parent...

Devidra nodded slowly- Right. A parent, a good parent will do anything for their child Mr Devlin. Absolutely anything.-slowly he nodded a bit- Seen that a few times, but I was too young to really focus on it. More of my trying to survive...-he paused slightly- when I went to look for my own that is. After a couple of years I finally gave up. -she commented offhandedly-... they'll be proud of you when you find them. B-man couldn't help but chuckled- if I live that is....wait..they're alive?...-he felt himself slipping now, darkness once more began to consume the light as his mind slipped back into nothingness.

Outside of B-man's mind a couple of doctors were working on him once more, Devidra watched as they were replacing the bandages around his horrifically disfigured head- he's beyond surgery at this point -the other a much younger female spoke sadly- at least the bleeding has stopped -the senior doctor nodded- We'll keep the bandages on for the remainder of the month, it will be up to him to take them off. Mark down to supply him with several sets for his head -the younger one nodded and the two left, passing straight through Devidra-

Devidra glanced at him for a moment, then out the window- ... just to hear her say she loves me. -she thought, she sighed then looked back to B-man, stepped up to him and placed her hand on his chest then softly swept it up and across his face- ... Even if she doesn't, at least she'll be happy, and that's all a mother could want. You'll heal Devlin, but I'm not making it instantaneous . -she chuckled and simply disappeared-

Meanwhile Sky was standing by the remains to the entrance of the mystic waters cave, he glanced back to the grave markers under a tree where the remains of his Master Galin lay, along with his top student Night, and his own mortal body was buried, he turned to the task at hand and began to dig his way into the remains to the mystic waters, determination in his eyes.
