The Story Of Immortuos

SnakesShadow

I don't really know how others do this, but this is the story of my fursona.

I suck at drawing, but I'll do my best to describe him physically. This may not be what you expect, but trust me when I say that Immortuos is the twin I've never had.

Chapter 1: Who Are You?

Let's Start:

POV: 3rd

"My name is Zackariah Winter Brimstone," The Dire Wolf says, his head tilted towards the floor, "But, most of you know me by the title Immortuos. Immortuos is a Latin word, which translates into the English word for Undead. I earned this title a week after I turned 16, and it's stuck with me ever since." Here he shifts, unconsciously rubbing a black furred scar running down his neck. Suddenly, his paw stops and he pauses for a moment before continuing his story.

"When I was born, my coat was a pure grey color with no birthmarks or deformations. Now, however, you would have guessed that my coat is black instead. You see, I learned at a very young age that whenever I get a scar, the fur that grows over it is black and thicker than my grey fur." Finally, he looks up. His eyes are a stunning purple color with what looks like black cracks running through them. There's emotion in there, strong emotions that don't really have names.

"I have so many scars now that my coat looks more like grey on black, and most of them come from me." Another stop, and he really looks at who he's talking to; High School kids, Freshmen to Seniors. They're all staring at him as if they're bored, like they've heard this story before just said differently. "At a young age, I was diagnosed with so many mental disorders that I didn't know which one to tell people I had. Autism, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Paranoia, Schizophrenia one time, some Anti-Social behavior, and Suicidal and Homicidal thoughts."

"My Mom and Dad were good parents, but they were also very, very judgemental and narcissistic. They didn't like people that they saw as different, which means anyone that wasn't straight, with their own species, and all around 'normal'. So, the first thing they did was get me started on medication, which just made everything worse for me." Now, some of the students were getting interested. Almost all of the other speakers blamed their parents and the places they grew up in.

"My mind was so screwed up by my disorders and the medication that I wanted to die everyday. I wanted my pain to be over with and everything to just stop." Zackariah glanced away from the kids, his eyes taking on a reminiscent glaze. "I was 11 the first time I tried to commit suicide. I went into the bathroom, took a blade, and cut my wrists. My parents found me passed out in a pool of my own blood while my wounds had already stopped bleeding. They took me to the hospital, and the whole thing was deemed an accident since I had no prior attempts."

"Now, I had been bullied for most of my life, just some small stuff here and there, but going back to school with 'suicide marks' on my wrists really caused some trouble. Everyone started picking on me, whether it was because I was freakishly tall, reaching 6'8'' at my prime, that I was too skinny, though it's all muscle, or cause my tail and claws were 'too' long. Anything and everything. So, if I didn't have enough motivation before, I now had even more reasons to want to kill myself." The glaze disappeared and he turned back to see that the students were all looking at him in empathy or wonder.

"It took another three attempts, drowning, cutting, and hanging before any realized what I was doing. I was hanging for 10 whole minutes before anyone got me down, and the doctors expected me to be brain dead at the very least. But, I survived with my mind as intact as it ever was." A small chuckle escaped his lips, a sad and hatred filled one. "My parents had decided they had enough of me and sent me off to a place called Creekside. It's basically a mental care facility for everyone under the age of 18."

"I got started on new meds, which were worse than the originals, and I was basically locked in a building with at most 12 other kids at a time. The staff there weren't very good people, they just wanted us there to collect money and stuff. But, they were convinced that they could prevent us from doing what we want." He stopped again, an actual smile coming to his face. "You need to know something about me before I continue. I've been labeled as a genius/savant my whole life, I can process information at a speed of 5 times the average fur. My IQ has never been properly calculated, but all of the scores I've gotten have been above 300. Now, this doesn't mean I'm better or smarter than everyone else. What it means is, even when the staff tried to stop me, I always found a way to attempt suicide." Another self-hatred filled laugh filled his lungs.

"By the time I turned 16, I had tried to kill myself 99 times. I tried cutting, drowning, hanging, electrocution, guns, asphyxiation, hypothermia, hyperthermia, dehydration, starvation, vitamin deficiency, everything. But, every time, every single time, I came back, I survived." Wonder and awe filled the room, but there was an undertone of sadness and depression. "Then, a week after my birthday, I tried my 100th attempt to kill myself. I had managed to get my hands on an extension cord and had tied it around my neck before connecting it to the curtain rod in my bedroom. I was just starting to black out when the staff broke into my room with my scared and worried parents behind them."

"That's how I earned the title Immortuos, 100 attempts to kill myself with not a single one working. People considered me to be some kind of zombie, an Undead fur." A sigh escaped his lips, his head falling down again. "But with this title came popularity, and with that came people who wanted to study or help me. I went through two years worth of interviews, therapy sessions, medications, and curious furs. Finally though, right before my birthday and subsequent release from Creekside, a different kind of visitor showed up."

"It was an old otter, old enough to be my grandfur, and he just sat down with me for a while. Eventually, he explained that he was a scientist and that he employed a whole staff of scientists that had been working on creating something to help me. I was surprised, amazed, and cautious all at the same time. I couldn't comprehend that someone would actually create something for me and I thought it was too good to be true." Zackariah smiled here, a genuine smile that made many of the students relax.

"It wasn't some new medication or therapy method, it was an implant. Now, I know this topic scares a lot of people, but this is something that's helped me greatly. It's a simple little device that can be put anywhere near the brain while being surrounded by your own cells. For me, he had to use a bigger and less developed device. So, one of the easiest places to put it was in my eyes, that's why they look so bright and have the black lines running through them." He explained, raising his head to show off said eyes.

"Now, the only thing that this implant does, is allows me to control my brain in a different way than other furs. I can create and destroy connections in my brain, destroying connections to depression and anxiety and completely getting rid of my violent thoughts. I still feel these things, but I can control them when I have them. Plus, it allows me to differentiate between what is real and what are just hallucinations, which I still get from time to time." Zackariah said, his eyes darting to his left subconsciously to look at the old otter that stood there. "So, all in all, I still have problems, I still fight with myself every day, but I have a weapon to fight with now. And, I'm not promoting this device, it can easily overwhelm your mind. Hell, I had to be put into a coma for two weeks after getting it because every time I was awake I was destroying the connections to my subconscious muscle reaction. Meaning, I could literally stop my heart or my lungs simply because I destroy my brain's connection with them. Plus, your brain controls every cell in your body, or it can at least start a chain of commands that does. So I was all out of whack." A good natured chuckle left his lips, most of the students joining him. But, it only took him a second to get serious again, a steely look in his eyes as he finished his speech.

"I'm here to tell you that every day is going to be a fight, with yourself, your thoughts, or someone else. But, you can win those fights, you can get through them and continue on. And I'm here to help you with your fight, in any way that I can. I'll be roaming around the school all week, you'll get papers that have my number and email on them, and I will talk with every one of you eventually." Zack-no, Immortuos said as he stood up. Black scars on grey fur, black cracks in purple eyes, black clothes on scarred skin and fur, but a white soul outlined in black hurt.

END.

Alright, here's all of the other stuff I didn't get around to answering in this chapter. I don't want to keep making excuses to answer them in my other stories with Immortuos in them so, here we go:

Born: January 7, 1997 in Dragonfall, Lasity, USA.

Current Age: 23

Weight: 190 lbs.

Full name: Zackariah "Immortuos" Winter Brimstone, prefers Winter or Immortuos.

Attire: He usually wears all dark colors, black, dark greens and reds, always has on his favorite dark red hoodie, baggy cargo pants, and a pair of high top sneakers. Yes, he looks emo, I do, too. Black scars cover most of his body, even his tail, but he only has one on his face: A long one running from the left side of his bottom jaw to his collarbone. He wears bunched up face masks or balaclavas around his throat, and leather bracelets with engraved metal plates on them(The engravings are semicolons). And, yes, his tail and claws are longer than a normal Dire Wolf's.

Personality: He's nice, kind, and pretty crazy, as in funny. He likes to make people laugh and changes his voice and accent a lot in order to make people laugh and smile. But, at the same time he has his bad days. He can get very violent, but he usually just gets quiet and isolates himself so he doesn't lash out at people. He's a more dominant person, definitely a top, and he knows exactly how to help people. He's good at reading people and giving them advice, but sometimes he can't get his point across. Sometimes, he just can't voice his thoughts, and most furs just can't understand what he is trying to say. He doesn't have many close friends, but he can make a friend out of anyone he meets. And he definitely has a skill for acting and public speaking.

Power: Limited shapeshifting due to the implant he has. (And to anyone that doesn't like him having this quote unquote "Superpower", deal with it. Plus, he can change the size of his dick at will, who hasn't wanted to do that?)

If you have any questions, ask them, and please don't steal him, I like him.

Bye!
