There was no time
For those that keep spinning their yarn but it keeps getting frayed
I spun the thread into a ball I tugged the yarn to keep it taut I call a friend, "Want to hang out?" They say "Sorry, but I cannot!"
I keep the yarn spinning around I'm loosing track of where's the end I call a pal, "Hi! Wanna chat?" "Sorry, I'm busy with a friend!"
My yarn, it spins and dances 'round It tangles, twists and tumbles down I text a buddy, "Hey, out tonight?" "Yeah, sorry, I'm out of town"
I twist the threads, I'll keep control I spin it tighter, keep it safe I tag a chum, "Missing you lots" "Ah yeah, been busy as of late"
Round it goes, drops on the floor My yarn has fallen of my reach I post online, "Hey, need a hug" But none will dare the silence breach
I've lost my thread, it loosens up The ball threatens to come undone I message friends, I search around But it is clear I am alone
I seek the threads, the jumbled mess I try to spin it back in shape I stuff it down, I hide away I tell myself I'm fine
There's no more thread, no yarn to spin No tale where one could just have been I know this feeling, it jabs my chest I'm sorry, hope I didn't waste your time
