To Capture A Dragon
Shadow was one of the few to defeat Sonic when it came to speed combat and the only one who was a match for him was his little brother. Since both Fang and Shadow were created by eggman and shadow was first Fang was considered the youngest of the two. Once Shadow was settled in Fang decided to take them to his summer home to meet his family.
"Fara i'm home!"
"You're married?"
"And have a daughter."
The first to come downstairs was Jewel then Fara soon followed after, Rouge could not help but lean down and smile at the little Fox who started to hide behind her mother since Shadow kept that stern look on his face despite giving a smirk and bowing his head in respect to the two of them.
"Daddy who are these two?"
"Jewel...meet your uncle Shadow and your Auntie Rouge."
"I've seen your baby pictures...never thought of meeting you in person."
".....AUNTIE!! UNCLE!!"
"Whoa!"
Jewel embraced her relatives with open arms as she brought them in for a group hug, it was rare to see Shadow laugh, let alone smile as he let Jewel take Rouge to the living room to watch tv while Fang and Shadow caught up on lost time.
"She's a good kid...your daughter."
"She's everything to me...and I see you finally tied the knot with Rouge."
Shadow simply turned to his brother and smirked while they looked at the view of the city from the rooftop before being called downstairs for dinner. The next day they decided to have a picnic in the forest and because Rouge was so friendly Jewel stuck with her the whole day and it didn't seem to bother her much as her niece fell asleep on her lap with a smile on her face.
"*sigh* Shadow...I think WE should have a kid."
"*Sputters drink* *cough!!* ROUGE!!"
Shadow instantly flared up the moment his wife mentioned it in front of the others, only Fang snickered at his reaction and Fara couldn't help but follow.
"What? It gets too quiet at home."
"Yeah but you're forgetting: we're both government agents back at home!"
"Then i'll retire, be a house wife those jobs are boring anyway."
After a couple more arguements Shadow agreed that he would have his first child with Rouge since deep down he always wondered what it would be like to raise a son or daughter. The picnic was soon packed up and they were headed home, the drive seemed peaceful until Shadow saw two trees collapsed on the dirt path, he and Fang were just about ready to move them aside until they both noticed that the trees had been cut down then both began to feel a chill crawl up their spines.
"Something's not right....!! AMBUUSH!!!"
Aparoids suddenly descended from the trees and moved in from the hills to the side, thankfully Shadow kept a pair of guns hidden under his jeans as he handed one to Fang, both were accurate shots but Fara knew that Fang was best with a sword as she rummaged through the back and brought out foe reaver.
"Fang here!!!"
"Thanks!"
The fight was suddenly brought to a halt as everyone began to hear a stomping sound, then Fang saw a very unfriendly face, Scales had escaped from the prison and was now more leathal than ever as Shadow saw his old metal claw had been replaced by a cybernetic arm and from behind him Fara saw another face that had not been seen in years.
"It can't be...Andross?!?"
"Hello starfox...."
Fang and Shadow simply nodded to each other as he suddenly gathered up everyone and used his power of chaos control to teleport them to safety while Fang turned to the two foes followed by the swarm of aparoids facing him.
"Now hedgehog...round two!!"
Fang started off charging in with foe reaver tight in his grip and the sounds of battle soon filled the air. Meanwhile Shadow teleported them to the top of the hill overlooking the battlefield before heading back to join in as he reloaded his gun.
"Rouge. stay here and guard them i'll be back."
Rouge nodded in agreement as she watched Shadow dashed into the battle with lightning speed. Fang had killed all the aparoids and was now dealing with scales while Andross watched from the sides and called in more aparoids until Shadow showed up and began picking them off.
"YOU WEAK!! *body shot!* MISERABLE!! *knee to the rib cage* SNIVELING!! *roundhouse kick to the head* PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A REPTILE!!! *uppercut straight to the jaw!!*"
"AAAAGH!!!"
Scales was knocked straight into a tree as Fang delivered the final blow leaving him and Shadow to face Andross as they blocked him from two sides ready to attack.
"I don't know what you're after Andross but I assure you you're not gonna get it."
"What i'm after....is you."
Andross pointed to Fang who just stood there completely clueless until Jewel saw an aparoid slowly emerging from the ground as it raiseds its claw into the air.
"DADDY BEHIND YOU!!!"
"Wha-AUUUGH!!"
"FANG!!"
Before Shadow could do anything Andross activated a device on his arm that teleported them off the planet without a trace. Shadow immediately contacted the base and the rest of the team while back at their home Jewel cried over the loss of her father with Fara trying to comfort her.
Cassara who had heard of the news knew what they planned to do with Fang as she ran into the briefing room completely out of breath.
"Cassara?"
"I know where they're headed."
Cassar then plotted their course to the nest while Fox and the others prepped the great fox for travel while Tamati grabbed the newest version of battle armor and equipped it at once before he spotted Fara with her ears drooped down filled with sorrow.
"Jewel is in her room....she won't stop crying."
"I'll bring him back Fara *places hand on shoulder* I promise."
Meanwhile deep in the hive nest Fang found himself strapped to a lab table and saw Andross holding a scaple in his hand and standing over him.
"W-what's going on?!?!!"
"I'm working on some genetic experiments and your DNA is the key to making it a success so if this hurts just scream."
Andross then began to move the scaple against Fangs chest slowly cutting into his flesh without knocking him out as he smiled wickedly and began to burst into laughter.
"Grrr...gg-GAAAAAAAAGGGGGH!!!!"
