Zankan sighs as he sets his bags down and stares at the house in front of him. His left and right head looked around to see if anyone was around while his middle head stares at the building. Zankan thought is was a bad idea to come back, but Scaro, his oldest friend that managed to keep in touch with him, wanted Zan to stay with him while he looked around for a new home. He sighs and picks his bags back up before climbing up the steps to knock on the door. He heard voices coming from the inside. 'Was someone arguing in there?' Zankan thought to himself and leaned forward to hear but moved back quickly when he heard claws clicking against wooden flooring as the steps came closer and the door opened to reveal a wolf standing in front of him. They both stared at each other in silence, as six eyes stared at the two that were standing in front of him. "Uh..." Zan's middle head began as the left on picked up where he left off, "Does Scaro live here?" The wolf just continued staring before nodding and shouting behind him. "Scaro! You have some 3 headed freak here who walks to talk to you!" Zan's right head sighed while his middle folded his ears back in embarrassment and his left looked away. He wished that hybrids were treated as normal furs but it seemed that people still hated them here. It was one of the reasons that his family moved away. It was a miracle that he and Scaro still kept in touch with one another, and it was by Scaro's suggestion that he should come back to his hometown. And here he was getting insulted by a wolf that probably lived with Scaro as well. Zan perked up when he heard steps over in another room, his tail wagging a bit as he heard a familiar voice. "3 headed? Wait... Zan?" The voice said before rushing over to reveal a tall horned feline like creature who stared at the Cerberus. "Scaro!" All of Zan's heads shouted as they jumped up and hugged the Charr. Scaro hugged the hybrid back and smiled. "How have you been?" "Wow you got tall, how tall are you now?" "It's really nice to see you again!" All of Zan's heads began talking at the same time while Scaro chuckled and the wolf growled. "It's hard to answer you all when you speak at the same time, but ill try my best. I'm doing good, now that you're here, Im now 8 feet and 10 inches, and it's really nice to see you as well." The wolf scoffed and walked into a different room, leaving the two alone. Scaro set Zan down, who picked up their bags and took him into a different room. Zan smiled as his heads looked around, but noticed out of his left head's vision that the wolf was in the room as well, glaring at him before he got up and walked into a different room. "Hey Scaro, who's that?" Zan's left head asked, looking at the tall Charr as the others continued looking around the room. "Oh, Him?" Scaro looking at the direction that the wolf went through. "Oh... He's my... He's my Ex..." The Charr said looking away. "Oh... What happened?" All three of Zan's heads looked at the horned feline, who sighed and laid back. "I dont wanna talk about it..." They said and let out a sigh, before looking at the hybrid. "How about you? Did you meet anyone special?" Zan's left head sighed while the right looked down and the middle shook it head. "No, it was sorta secluded where i lived... We barely got to see any other people unless it was at the store that was a few miles away..." Zan's middle head answered. Scaro smiled and brought Zan closer for a hug. The Cerberus let out a sigh and hugged back, all three of his heads closed their eyes and leaned their heads on his shoulder. The Charr smiled at the hybrid as a thought came across his mind "You know Zan... I wasn't expecting you until next month." As he said this, hybrid looked at him with confusion in his eyes. "What do yo-" As he began to ask, the entire house began to rumble and shake. Cars outside began to set honk as their alarms go off. "What's going on?!" Zan yelled as they clung to Scaro in shock. "It's fine! It's just an earthquake!" Scaro got up and wobbled over to a door frame and stood under it as the earthquake continued. Their were sounds of things crashing in the kitchen, and some picture frames falling as the earthquake continued to unleash its wrath. Zan pushed himself closer to Scaro, who was beginning to panic. Earthquakes aren't supposed to be this long. It should've ended a while ago. Why was it still going? Then, as quick as it appeared, the earthquake stopped. No slow down, no warning, it just stopped, as if it wasn't there at all. Scaro looked around as Zan began to step away from the Charr. "W-what... happened?" The Charr said nothing and began to check the house, making note of what the damages were, and what he needed to replace. Zan also looked around, and noticed a few fallen picture frames. The hybrid began to shakily make his way over to the frames, praying that another earthquake won't suddenly make an appearance. They picked up one of the fallen pictures to see a picture of a Charr and a wolf sitting together at a cafe, drinking a milkshake between them. Zan smiled at the picture and was about to brush the glass off when it was snatched from his paws. "Don't touch that!" The wolf from earlier was there, clutching the frame close to their chest. "S-sorry... I was checking to see that it gets ruined by the-" "I don't care what you were doing! Just don't touch it!" The wolf cut Zan's explanation off before picking the other photos off the floor and rushing upstairs with them. Zan just stood there in silence, before a sigh made all three heads turn to look at the Scaro, who was standing in the doorway. "Sorry about that... He's still struggling with the break up..." The Charr came over with a broom and began to sweep up the glass pieces as Zan stepped to the side. "Why did you two break up?" Zan's middle head asked as he grabbed a dustpan, and helped pick the shards up. "It's... difficult to explain..." Scaro began before hearing a knock on the door. Zan looked at Scaro with his right head as his left focused on the door, twitching his ears. Scaro handed the broom to Zan before walking over to the door and opening it, revealing a fox who was dressed in a hoodie and skirt. "Scaro! Your okay!" The fox exclaimed and hugged the Charr who returned the hug. Zan was looking over as he finished sweeping up the glass and heard a door opening upstairs. "Im fine Esme. Though the earthquake came out of nowhere, we're all right." The Charr gave the vixen a smile and let her go as Zan came over. "Scaro?" He asked, getting the attention of both the Charr and the fox. "Scaro? Who's that?" Esme asked and walked over to the hybrid. Zan looked nervously as the vixen who stepped over and looked at the hybrid over before holing out a paw. "Hi there! The name's Esme! It's nice to meet you! Well, the three of you" Esme said looking at each of Zan's heads in turn. Zan was shocked for a few seconds before all three heads smiled and shook her paw. "It's nice to meet you too Esme, my name is Zankan" The middle head said as the left looked back to Scaro. "Scaro? Where's the trash can?" Scaro looked at left and came over to take the dust pan from them. "I'll take that, you can talk to Esme. Don't worry, she won't bite." The Charr took the dustpan and walked past the two and entered the kitchen. As he dumped the contents into the trash, his ears perked up at the sound of steps behind him. "For the last time, i don't want to get back together. It'll be better if we stayed apart." The Charr turned to look expecting the wolf to be standing behind him, but was surprised to see a dragoness instead. "Oh... Its you..." The Charr leaned back and crossed his arms in front of his chest. The dragoness just replied with a grin. "Aw... and here I thought you missed me. And we could be together if you want." She sat down on the counter-top next to the Charr. "I just came here to see if you were fin-" "I already told you Trios, that i'm not going back." The Charr cut off the dragoness and pushed himself away from the counter. Trios sighed and looked around the kitchen, seeing that most of the broken dishes that had fallen were shattered and the cabinets were almost bare. "It seems like you've been having problems getting money... If only there was a way to get more..." Trios said and looked at the Charr, who sighed and looked back at the dragon. "Say what you want, i'm not returning to the gang. Say what you want, but i'm not going to risk my life to get you more money that we'll most likely never get a part of. That's one of the reasons why I left." Scaro looked at Trios who walked up to him and put an arm on his shoulder. "You know that's not a real reason, don't you?" She removed her hand from Scaro's shoulder and moved over to the sink and pulled his phone out of her pocket. He felt around and didn't feel it in his pockets anymore. "You just didn't want your hybrid friend to know that you were one of the top members in the biggest gang in the city." She smiled and showed the Charr a picture on his phone of him and Zan together when they were kids. "I'm actually surprised you still have his picture, especially with the fact that this picture is years old." She tossed him his phone back and walked to the back door. "I hope you decide to come back to us, Scaro" She said before stepping out and closing the door behind him. The Charr let out a growl before stepping back into the hallway, noticing that Esme and Zan weren't there, though voices and the sound of cleaning could be heard from the living room. The Charr sighed before entering the room, smiling seeing that Esme and Zan were getting along pretty well. "Wow! So you run the entire cafe?" "Was it really hard to open it?" "What kind of food do you sell?" All of Zan's heads asked as they finished sweeping the floor of all glass shards. "Guys, I said one at a time. I can't understand you all at once." Esme giggled as the heads started bickering on who will speak first. Scaro walked over and held the dust pan out. "Don't you need this?" His voice caused them to look at him then at the dustpan. "Oh there it is!" Zan's right head yelled out and grabbed it. "Thanks!" His middle head said as the left turned back towards Esme. "So, what food do you sell at you cafe?" He asked as the other two glared at him. "The food that I sell is actually all things that Scaro makes." Esme says looking at Scaro who was shaking his head at her and waving his arms. "Wait... Scaro can cook?" Zan's right head stared at Esme while the other two looked at the Charr in question, who sighed and put a paw to his face. Zan began to giggle and get excited as they reached over and grabbed Scaro's paws. "Can you teach me? Please?" All of Zan's head asked at the same time. Then, as Scaro was beginning to tell Zan that he can't, the ground began to rumble once more. The three looked at each other before Zan heard a yelp coming from the hallway, which caused him to rush over to see the wolf from earlier on the stairs beginning to shake as the ground began to vibrate at a fast pace, causing him to hold onto the loose railing. The earth began to let out a roar as the house slowly began to break apart, cracks forming on the floor separating rooms and causing the staircase to crack and begin to fall apart. Scaro wobbled his way next to Zan, holding onto Esme so that she didn't get hurt by any falling debris. "Writ! You have to move!" He shouted, looking at the wolf who still held onto the railing, not noticing that cracks beginning to form around him. "What do you mean?" The wolf asked and looked at the Charr in confusion before hearing the flooring crack behind him. He let out a yelp and leaned against the railing, which began to splinter before giving away and crack and fall, taking the wolf with it. Writ let out a shout of fear before falling onto something, which let out a loud "oof!" as air was pushed out of its lungs. Writ looked to see that he had fallen onto the hybrid's chest and was sitting on top of them as the earth let out a roar of rage, and split the two away from the others before opening up a chasm which proceeded to devour the earth beneath the house, dropping it and it's inhabitants inside. They all let out screams as they fell into the earth, not seeing the thin veil that they were falling towards. Scaro held Esme close as she clung to him in fear, while Writ held onto Zan while letting out a high pitched scream that began to hurt Zan's ears.
