As the school day was reaching it's end, Chad couldn't keep his mind focused on school and decided to let his mind roam free. He imagined all the things he might end up doing from playing all kinds of video games to just talking and getting to know one another. Little did he know that he was unconsciously doodling on his notebook paper and when he looked down at his paper, it had hearts around the letters "CR" and "WK"

Chad quickly made sure no one was looking in his direction then crumpled up the paper quickly and put it in his coat pocket. As the bell releasing the kids from school rang, Chad started to question what he was feeling around Will. Sure he felt really good around him and he felt like he actually meant something to someone, but the more he seemed to envision Will, the more his heart started to pulse.

As Chad approached his locker and started putting in the combination, he was rummaging through his coat pocket so he dispose of the note.

But it was no where to be found...

"Oh crap!" Chad muttered while backtracking, searching desperately for the crumbled note. His life was bad enough with the torment that usually goes on through the days, but if someone found that note and realized that he was talking about, his life would just go head first down the toilet.

"Looking for this Chad?" A feminine voice asked.

Chad looked back slowly to catch a glimpse if the note was in the girls hand. The note had been stretched out, in the palms of Nala. Nala has been Chad's neighbor ever since he could remember. You could say the two were close but Nala still knew Chad about as much as everyone else had, just a little bit more than everyone else. She just knew some of the more personal things that Chad liked, such as his favorite type of music, and the kinds of food he liked the most. As the two were starting to mature, Chad's parents seemed to edge Chad into becoming attracted for Nala. He was slowly started to see why.

She was a cute and spunky grey cat who had recently dyed her hair that reached just past her shoulders, a light blonde. Nala had a unique sense of fashion since she always wore something new to school. Some days she would dress in full neon colors. Making the scene really bright and warm feeling, to dressing in full black with her hair down all over her face, giving her the impression she wants to rock out.

Today Nala was dressed in a simple sleeveless pink top with a red heart around her slight chest cleavage that had glitter around that. She was wearing a pair of torn black capris that had a chibi white bunny on the front left leg as well as one on the back right.

"Oh thanks Nala, you have no idea how much you saved me. Where'd you find it anyway." Chad said while walking closer to the feline.

"I saw it come out of your coat pocket when you were leaving class. I can tell that CR are your initials, but aren't WK Will's initials?" Nala asked as she handed the note over to Chad who nodded slowly.

"Well I think it's great that you guys are friends now, you can finally hang out with some people that appreciate you." Nala said while swishing her tail back and forth. Chad saw that there seemed to be something else on her mind that she couldn't seem to bring out.

"And speaking of hanging out, do you have any plans after school today?" Nala said with her face turning a tiny shade of pink.

"Well actually I was going to go over to Will's house after school." After Chad said this, he saw Nala's ears drooped a little bit. "But we can hang out later if you want." Nala's tail then swayed back forth again as a cute little smile appeared on her face.

"Okay, thanks Chad. You have my cell-phone number don't you?" Nala wondered while twitching her ears.

"Actually no, I don't" Chad said while snickering lightly. Nala then smiled and pulled out a small piece of paper and started writing down her digits then handed it to Chad.

As she did, Will ended up walking up to Nala and Chad.

"Hey Chad." Will spoke while then looking at Nala. "And uhh..."

"Nala. Nala Tenmaru." She said while giggling and smiling at the large husky.

"Nice to meet you Nala. So do you two know each other?" Will asked while taking a look at the feline.

"Chad is my neighbor who I've known ever since I was a little kitten." Nala stated while looking over at him. "Well I don't want to be a 3rd wheel in your guy's plans so I better get home." Nala said while trotting off out of the main doors.

"Well she was a nice girl, a little cute too." Will mentioned while nudging Chad with his elbow.

"Yeah, I guess so." Chad said while trying not to show his emotions.

"Well how about we get going." Will said while leading Chad to the back doors.

"Alright, let me just text my parents." Chad whipped out his cell phone then sent a quick text to his mom, then followed Will home.

As the two were walking home, Chad was walking right beside Will and couldn't help but glance at him every now and then. There was an instance where they both looked at each other and looked into their eyes, then quickly broke away in embarrassment. Both of their tails were now swaying slowly and every now and then the brushed along one another which caused a smile to stretch across Chad's face.

Will noticed this then teasingly smacked Chad's ass with his tail. Chad's ears perked up and he blushed a little at the sudden assault of his buttocks. Will could't help but laugh at Chad's expression.

As the furry duo walked up, Chad's phone buzzed, letting him know he had gotten a new text. He checked it out and it was from Nala, reading: "You two having fun yet?"

Chad thought for a second that she meant "fun" as in... well fun in a bed or something along that matter. But he just want with the idea of having a good time in a normal manner. He figured he might as well text her back so he isn't rude.

He wrote back: "We're just now getting in the house, besides I don't think we'll ever get that close."

"Who ya' texting?" Will asked while trying to sneak a peak at the phone.

"Just Nala." Chad answered while putting away his phone. Will smirked and swayed his tail.

"You two seem to be closer than I thought. You sure you two are just friends? I don't like it when my friends hold stuff out on me."

Friend? Chad was surprised that not even after a whole day, Will was already calling Chad a friend. Of course it may just be from he's seen, that all of Will's other friends, like Nick the asshole, was a jerk.

"We're just friends, nothing more than that. At least that's what I see. Things may be different in her eyes, but I can't seem to figure that cat out." Chad mentioned while starting to ponder about the young feline.

They were now inside the house as Will was showing Chad to the living room where most of the company that visits his house goes. Chad took a good look at the room and from he saw, it seemed a boring. The walls were an Indian red color and there were two sofas that could hold three people, one loveseat, and a rather cozy looking Lazy Boy. The only thing that seemed to really grab Chad's attention was the few artifacts of Native Americans which were a few spears and a dream catcher that seemed to be made out of bones of something.

"Well something tells me that she has a thing for you." Will said while gesturing Chad to take a seat anywhere. Chad decided to go with the Lazy Boy as Will went to the fridge and opened it up.

"You want anything to drink or eat?" Will asked while pulling out a can of grape soda. Chad's eyes shot open when he noticed the purple can appear and his heart melted as the pop can was opened.

He was an extreme sucker for grape soda. Ever since he first tried it as a small pup at about 9, he would pick grape soda over just about anything. There was one time that Chad drank so much grape soda, that his tongue turned a deep purple for a whole day, and that was when his mom limited him to one can a day. That and when he went in to get a couple cavities filled.

"I would love a can of grape soda." Chad mentioned while swaying his tail excitedly. Will smiled when he noticed Chad's tail and handed him a can while sitting down on one of the sofas.

"So I take it that you love grape soda as much as I do?" Will wondered as Chad popped the tab and took a big gulp of the wonderful, purple, fizzy waterfall of heaven. After finishing the big gulp, Chad took in a breath of air to refuel for the next wonderful mouthful of that purple stuff.

"Depends, how much do you love it?" Chad asked while raising an eyebrow playfully.

"I could drink a whole six-pack in a day if my mom would allow it." Will said then took a drink of his can.

"Same here. Like if you have one more can, you'd swear you'd pee purple?" Chad wondered if Will had this same thought.

"I always figured your internal organs would become purple, but I guess that could have happen as well." Will said as the two shared a good laugh. Chad was feeling really comfortable around Will, like he could really get to know him since he was so open, and he loved grape soda just like himself does. He figured he'd get a little closer and sit down at least closer to him. He then rose up out of the Lazy Boy and sat on the other end of the sofa from Will.

"And what do I owe this pleasure?" Will asked teasingly while eyeing Chad sit down.

"Just felt like coming closer to you, I mean it's not like we have to worry about other people seeing us right?" Chad said teasingly while giving Will the same glance back.

"Well why stop there?" will then padded down on the cushion next to him. "I won't bite, at least at this stage." He said with a smirk growing across his maw.

Chad was a little caught off by this and figured it was all fun and games. He slide along the couch, getting ever so closer to the brown canine. He could now get a another good smell of his scent, which smelled wonderful, like a slight scent of honey mixed with cinnamon and ginger. He knew it was his cologne and he wanted to get a better whiff of it so he tried to move in closer without invading Will's personal space.

Chad ended up getting closer then he thought as his cheek touched Will's shoulder blade. Chad's eyes then darted open at this and as he heard the sound of footsteps manifesting as a tall, darker brown, female came into the kitchen and then saw the two.

"Oh, sorry Will, I didn't know you had company over." The female said.

This female looked an awful lot like Will, just taller, more older looking and had darker fur. "Is that your new boyfriend?"

"Kayla!" Will shouted. "I haven't exactly told him yet." Will said while pinning his ears back a little.

Kayla then perked her ears up and covered up her mouth as an attempt to take back what she said.

"Whoops, I'm sorry Will." Kayla said while leaving the room out of embarrassment. Will then pinned his ears back and looked away.

"B-Boyfriend? What were you and her talking about not telling me?" Chad asked with a serious tone in his voice. Will sighed then looked slightly closer to Chad but still not directly at him.

"Might as well explain no since it's out of the bag." Will seemed to hesitate as Chad tilted his head slightly. "Truth is, I'm gay." Will muttered quietly while closing his eyes.

Chad perked up his ears to make sure he heard right, but he knew he didn't hear things when he saw a tear start to form in his eyes.

"I-I thought that if you knew, you would never speak to me again, like the last bunch of people I told did..." Will spoke out softly as a tear rolled down his chin. Chad took a moment to go through this new information then wiped away the tear with his finger.

"Your still my friend Will. I'll always be you're friend no matter who you look for in a mate." Chad spoke into Will's eyes softly. Will then looked up at Chad, then quickly wrapped his arms around him and buried his face into Chad's chest. Chad held Will close to him, rubbing the back of his head softly as Will nuzzled his cheek across Chad's chest.

"I would love to stay like this Chad, but my parents will probably be home soon, and they don't really like it when I have uninvited guests over." Will mentioned while pinning back his ears.

"So I take it, I'm going to have to leave before I get you in trouble?" Chad asked as Will took his face off of Chad's warm chest and nodded.

"Yeah, sorry Chad." Will said while pinning his ears back. Chad simply smiled then licked Will's wet nose softly then rose up out of the sofa.

"It's alright. See you in school tomorrow?" Chad asked while starting to head out the door. Will nodded and waved the cute little wolf good bye as he watched him leave the room and heard him shut the door.

After a few seconds, Kayla reentered the room and sat down across from Will. "So how did things go? I didn't ruin anything did I?"

Will just smiled and rubbed his nose. "No, things went just fine." He said while wagging his tail.

In all that drama, Chad didn't realize he'd gotten another text from Nala reading: "Think we could still hang out today?"

Chad looked at the time and saw that it was 5:52 which was around dinner time for him so he sent a text back saying that he could after dinner. He then started to head home and then realized he'd never gotten Will's cell phone number. He just figured he'd get it from him tomorrow at school. Little did Chad know that he was being observed by a certain reptile...

(I really didn't know quiet where to end this chapter so I figured I'd end it with a little suspense. I actually wanted to add another scene, but it would be best if I show the aftermath of that scene as well and I don't want too make this chapter too long. >.>")
