"You must tell me about everything Viridan has done to you." The black dragon lying before him asked, his head propped up on his hands while he stared intently at Jonas.

"I don't feel much like talking about him." Jonas replied sullenly, still not meeting the dragon's eyes. He was taking up the majority of the cage, which was probably a habit of his, leaving Jonas a small corner to sit in while he encircled the young human.

"Come on, I know it hurts now, but it will help if you get it off your chest." The dragon said comfortingly. Jonas could tell that he was a controlling person. He was quite persuasive, and Jonas almost gave in right then and there.

"You haven't even told me your name yet, and you're already trying to get me in bed with you against Viridan." Jonas remarked, only realizing the unfortunate wording of his sentence. The dragon grinned a little wider.

"Oh, we will reach that stage soon enough, and whether you know my name or not won't sway the result. Even if you are separated, seeing me rape you will still hurt him, and it would be so much better for both of us if we were on the same page." The dragon explained. "I just want you to feel comfortable around me, even though I will be gone within the week."

"You're quite confident." Jonas said, tossing his head towards the cage opposite to them. He wasn't interested in the other cage in the least, but he didn't want to make eye contact with the dragon.

"You, young human, are looking at the current top ranking fighter in the arena." The dragon said, with no lack of overconfidence in his voice. "With sixty-five wins and only three loses, that is a record to be confident of. And now that I have knocked that pathetic creature that used to have the top spot off his throne, there is no one good enough to best me. Especially when I'm choosing my last two opponents."

"Now what gives you, one of the pawns in this whole game, the power to dictate that?" Jonas asked, casting his eye to the dragon. He was still wearing that same grin. The one that made him look friendly, but was also amused by everything you said as if you were some four year old asking why the sky is blue.

"I'm a crowd favorite." He said simply, waving his hand ceremoniously. "The viewer rates go up when I perform, so if I threaten to start throwing matches, than they lose my popularity, and their ratings drop. And trust me, producers will do almost anything to keep ratings up."

Jonas only chuckled. "Fine, whatever you say. But I'm going to get some sleep. I've got my first match tomorrow."

"A sound plan." The dragon replied, nodding. "Why don't you come over here and sleep with me. I would certainly be more comfortable than those cold bars against your back."

Jonas chuckled again. "Tell me your name, and I might consider it." He said.

"Very well, you may call me Zereck." The dragon said.

"Hmm..." Was all Jonas said. Then he simply closed his eyes and tried his hardest to sleep. Zereck merely gave a disappointed growl as he shifted into a sleeping position himself.

The next morning, Jonas was in a line with about a dozen other creatures, standing before some robot with a speaker on it. It was laying out all of the rules of the arena. Viridan was in the line, Jonas noticed, but much further down from him, like he wanted. Though he didn't particularly like where we was standing. To his left was the same worm-thing that had raped him the day he was taken to the arena, and to his right, a colossal insect-like creature, which stood much like a praying mantis. Instead of having sickle-like blades on its arms, it had more of a hand, with four long claws that were the size of Jonas himself. The creature had had its compound eyes locked on him through the entire instructional period, and didn't seem to be listening to the rules at all. It was currently snapping its mandibles together and scraping its claws against each other, in what Jonas assumed was a display to its prey before feeding.

"And there will be no purposeful killing, maiming, or otherwise injuring of opponents during a match, punishable by disqualification and loss of winning streak and or eligibility to compete." The robot announced. "In order to win, one combatant must insert his penis into any orifice on the opponent's body, be it the mouth, anus, ear or other. Once a winner has been confirmed, the opponent must submit while the winner is allowed to orgasm into his opponent. When you reach a winning streak of thirty, you are free to leave the arena, though contracts are available as paid combatants once a certain overall rank is obtained."

"I haven't eaten in days, morsel. And you look like quite a tasty treat." The insect said, very clearly not listening to the rules. Jonas said nothing, and kept his eye forward.

"Your first matches will begin in three hours, and until then, the sparring area is open to anyone wishing to train." The robot said. "A guard will be sent to retrieve you for your match upon its designated starting time."

With that, the robot rolled away, leaving the to-be combatants to themselves. Many of them shifted towards a large electronic board that laid out the scheduled matches for the day. Other found partners and moved onto the huge practice floor. Jonas went and sat in a corner, attempting to draw attention away from himself.

"Do you...do you want spar before we have our matches." Viridan asked, shifting awkwardly near Jonas.

"No." Jonas said briefly. "And especially not with you."

"Come on, Jonas." Viridan pleaded. "You'll want the practice before the matches begin."

"Thanks for the concern, but I'll be fine." He said.

"No, Jonas, you won't." Viridan said sternly, obviously ditching the pathetic tactic and trying to intimidate him instead. "You were constantly being raped back in 'The Cage', and I was always saving your ass. Now I can't do it anymore."

"Why? Because you'll lose your wins?" Jonas asked.

"No. Because you'll never get out of here." Viridan replied, just as strongly.

Jonas was taken aback by the statement. He had just expected him to start stuttering and be unable to form an answer, but he was so firm in his delivery that Jonas knew that it wasn't a cover up.

"Looks like we're fighting first, prey." The giant insect said, standing high over Viridan as it passed by. It snickered gleefully. "I'll be sure to swallow you whole, so you feel every little bit of my insides."

"You see?" Viridan said as the insect walked away. "You're never going to beat that thing without my help."

"Except he threatened to kill me, which is against the rules." Jonas pointed out.

"He could just be trying to scare you." Viridan countered.

"He seems a little too thick-headed to bluff like that." Jonas commented. "I think he's going to try it."

"But do you really want to take that chance?" Viridan asked.

"Alright, listen." Jonas said finally. "If I am right, and he tries to eat me and gets disqualified, than you leave me allow. But if you are right, and he's bluffing and he does beat me, then I'll train with you."

"Deal." Viridan agreed.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get some extra sleep before we start." Jonas said, and turned his gaze away from Viridan. He didn't see the dragon completely turn away before he fell asleep.

"Hey, get up human." A gruff voice said.

Jonas didn't actually get his eyes open before he felt a burning pain on his skin. He leapt to his feet in order to escape the pain. All the guard held was a small metal rod, about a foot long, but that thing hurt like hell.

"Let's go." The guard said, and pointed with the rod to door on the far side of the training room. Jonas led the way, with the guard following closely with his weapon raised. When they reached the heavy metal door, the guard entered a code on a keypad, and the door slid up and opened with a rush of air. The sound of millions of beings cheering and yelling flooded Jonas' ear drums, and he covered his ears instinctively. He was forced to remove them as the guard pushed him into the arena, and he struggled for balance.

The door slammed shut as soon as he was clear, and he was locked, alone, with the insect creature stalking towards him from the other side of the arena. It was scraping its claws as it had been before, and it looked quite malicious, despite the fact that his insect features hindered all facial expressions.

"Are you ready to be digested human?" The creature asked.

Jonas said nothing.

An announcer began a long-winded introduction of them, but like all other arena sound systems, Jonas couldn't understand a word of what he was saying. Clearly, even advanced alien species couldn't overpower an excited crowd. The one thing Jonas did understand was the buzzer that sounded out of nowhere. The one that universally meant 'start'.

The creature before him began to dash forward, which was an awkward sort-of crawl for a creature of that size. Nevertheless, Jonas was rapidly running out of space and time. He made a dash to his left, narrowly escaping a grab at him. The creature gave an angry sort-of buzz, and turned to continue the chase.

Jonas had no idea what he was going to do. He knew he had to win, that much was obvious. But as to how he was going to win, he had no clue. He knew that first, he needed to find an orifice to thrust into, and then he needed to actually do the thrusting. It was at this unfortunate moment that his morality made its unfortunate arrival, and he really didn't want to do either.

"Well you're damn if you do and you're damned if you don't" He thought to himself, and made another dodge as the creature aimed for his head. He ducked below the claw and stumbled a bit, but as he did, he found the creature's anus. It was a small hole, between two pieces of its sectioned carapace. It was going to be hard to get into, but nothing in this place was going to be easy.

He made a dash for the hole as the creature reared up to make its turn. He had anticipated it to be a good move, as the creature's claws were raised for the turn, but it turned out that he was wrong. The creature simply began to fall towards him. Jonas dived to the ground in an attempt to get out of the way, but the creature was simply too wide. He felt an immense weight hit his back, and the floor beneath him gave. It stretched to accommodate the forces being applied to Jonas, leaving him uncomfortably tight between the floor and the creature on top of him, but at least he wasn't dead. He had definitely lost though, because if the creature was going to 'official' win, he had gotten close enough to its ass that its penis was very close to him. And the creature had him in its grasp.

It slowly began to rise off of him, and once Jonas had enough space to move he made a mad crawl in the opposite direction of the creature. Unfortunately for him, though, the creature dropped its claws around him like a bird cage, and he was effectively trapped.

"Finally, a good meal." The creature said fitfully, pushing Jonas up into a sitting position. It lifted its claws away to make room for its rapidly descending head, and Jonas had no time to move before the twitching maw descended around him, thoroughly coating him in warm and stinging saliva. He felt a wet suction form around his head, and that's when the buzzer sounded again. The creature let out a sudden buzz of pain, and the maw lifted away from him. Jonas then saw two guards get the creature on the ground, anus open to him.

"This is my chance to take revenge for all of the troubles I've had here." He thought, staring at the gaping hole before him. "But that would make me like them, and I'm not like them."

With a determined look, he stood up and walked back the way he had come. The audience began to sound confused and disappointed, but Jonas didn't care about their entertainment. Apparently he was the only one on this world with any morals.

The guard waiting for him at the door escorted him back to his cell, where Zereck was waiting for him. Once the door had been closed behind Jonas, the dragon began to clap slowly.

"I saw your match." He said. "An interesting tactic. You knew that your opponent was too thick-headed to listen to the rules, and you let him embarrass himself in front of the crowd. What I don't understand, is why you simply left without finishing?"

"Oh, I was finished." Jonas replied, sitting down in his familiar corner. "I won't sink that low unless I absolutely have to."

"A noble prospect, if a little far-fetched in the current situation." Zereck said. "I'm afraid that your other opponents won't be so ignorant, and you will have to best them if you want to succeed here."

"Why do you care? You've made it clear that I'm only a means for you to hurt your brother and get out of here."

"You've grown on me, human." Zereck admitted. "I want you to know that if you ever need someone to help you train, I will be here, at least until I'm not."

"Thanks for the offer, but I'll be fine." Jonas said, and turned away. He was finished with this conversation.

"Maybe, but I have a feeling that you will soon change your mind." Zereck said, and then he joined him.
