"Alright... is this everything?" Amber asked herself, looking over the ingredients she had gathered for the potion she was looking to make, double checking that she had everything in the right quantity. Herbs, honey, flowers, and, oddly enough, a few sweets. "That nice lady with the silver hair said that these were all I needed to create the pony potion, and she seemed like she knew what she was talking about... though for the life of me, I don't know why she suggested sweets as an ingredient..." She pondered.

She had been given a series of instructions to follow to ensure that the potion turned out perfectly, such as how long to mix it for, the exact amount of ingredients needed, even how sweet to make it. If she didn't know any better, she could have sworn that the lady who gave her the information was an actual witch, but she wasn't going to judge her - as long as it gave her the desired effects, it'd make her happy.

"Let's see..." She prepared the concoction carefully, heating up the ingredients in the beaker, stirring it every so often, and ensuring the balance of ingredients was just right. Around fifteen minutes later, the potion was complete, a sweet scent wafting from the neck of the bottle.

"Mmm... smells sweet enough!" She savored the scent, waiting for it to cool down before she attempted to drink it - the last thing she wanted to do was burn herself now it was complete. Once it was cool enough, she picked the vial up, swirling it around in her hand - the coloration was a nice mix of white and vermillion, making it look like she had melted up a whole bunch of candy canes and was ready to drink them all up. If that really was the case, it would probably lead to instant diabetes, but given that this was a potion, the end result could be something totally different, and nowhere near as diabiliting.

"OK, if this is all correct, then hopefully~" She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath before placing the bottle to her lips, gulping down the contents of the mixture. The potion, funnily enough, did taste just like she was drinking melted candy canes. With the potion drank, she placed the bottle back down on the table. "Now then... let's see if this really works..."

She sat down on the sofa, idly counting the seconds in her head as she waited for any sign that the potion was going to work. A couple of minutes had passed since downing it, and so far there had been nothing to show. "Aw man, did I do it wrong?" She asked herself, placing her hand to her face. "Hopefully I can get some more ingredients to try again..." She paused when she felt an odd, tingling sensation running through her body, feeling more intense in her hands. She turned to look at them, and, much to her delight, the fingers were merging together, fusing into one, singular digit. The remaining nail thickened and toughened, wrapping around the tip of it whilst it discolored to a snowy white, followed up by coarse fur of the exact same color running up her arms.

"Alright, it's actually working!" She giggled, looking at her new hooves with a smile. The fur worked its way up her arms, creeping along her chest, and it was around that point that she realised that maybe she should have removed her clothing before having consumed the mixture. "Ohh... this could get just the teensiest bit awkward!" she muttered, and indeed, she could feel her clothes growing tighter due to her growing form. She attempted to remove her top, but with her hands now hooves, it was an impossible task to complete. Eventually, the top tore apart over her barrelling chest, her breasts having vanished into it beforehand, leaving her pretty bare up there, outside of the thicker fur around it.

She lowered herself down to all fours, stretching herself in an attempt to discard the rest of her top, her back shifting enough to do so. It felt weird being down on the ground like this, but she knew that it would become quite natural in due time. She looked over herself thus far, her upper arms and torso thoroughly equine compared to everything else. The fur worked its way downwards, her belly gaining a small amount of paunch to give her the typical horse gut. Her skirt was the next thing to give her discomfort, her hips adjusting and aligning themselves, suiting her up so she could comfortably taking on an equine stance. Her hips widened, forcing her legs apart just in time for a long, furry tail to work its way out of the base of her spine, the hair covering it a nice shade of vermillion.

"OK, not too much further to go now, surely..." She thought, her thighs bulking up one step further, causing her skirt to tear apart, revealing her now-furred hind legs. Her feet went numb, the toes merging in a similar fashion to her hands, forming into a solid pair of hooves. She glanced over to her hind quarters, a faint glow surrounding them momentarily before vanishing, having left behind a picture of a Canadian maple leaf on her thighs, something that she was instantly able to recognise as a cutie mark.

"Alright, I'm going to need to figure out just what this means, exactly!" She laughed, the fur creeping up her neck, shifting upwards so her head rested more comfortably on her new body. Her ears twitched, growing to points that moved to sit atop her head, her hair growing longer and shifting to a warm vermillion, flowing halfway down her neck whilst also flowing freely around her head. Before long, her face pushed outwards, nose sinking into her upper jaw as they grew into a slightly-rounded muzzle, her teeth moving towards the front of it. To end the changes, her eyes moved to the sides of her head, turning sky blue whilst growing much larger in size, a short, pointed horn growing out through the top of her head, poking through her new mane.

Just as quickly as it had started, her transformation into a pony was complete. She took a few tentative steps on her new hooves, walking towards the nearest mirror so she could take a proper look over herself, even rearing up on her hind legs to get a good measure of her size. In comparison to height whilst on two legs, she didn't seem to be too different than when she was a human. Naturally, she did appear to be slightly smaller on all fours, she had only become a unicorn and not something like an alicorn, after all, but it didn't cause her any bother.

"Alright, I can't believe that this worked!" She giggled, trotting in place, pleased by her new form. "Although, now that's going to leave the question of what I'm going to do like this... I mean I can't really go out in public this way, can I? The non-bronies would probably freak out... then again, even the fans would freak out at seeing a real little pony talking to them, wouldn't they..." She tapped her snout with her right forehoof. "Hrm... I should have thought this through beforehand, shouldn't I? She continued to think, only to be brought out of it by a sudden flash of light, alongside a loud thud coming from her bedroom. "Huh?!" She leapt up into the air in shock. "What was that?!"

"Oof... ok, that landing was pretty rough..." A male voice could be heard coming from the bedroom. "Huh, so I'm still a pony? Guess I've been gone for so long that I can't really go back to the old life, can I?"

"The heck?" Amber thought, cocking her head. She made her way up the stairs, curious to see what was going on.

"At least Twilight's spell on my old phone is still holding. I wonder what's changed in the time I've been gone?" Amber heard the creature muse aloud. "OK, so they elected an idiot as the president and impeached him... something called 'Brexit'... I'll be damned, he actually won the Pokémon League?"

She attempted to open the door with her hoof, but lacking the appropriate digits, she couldn't do that. "Wait a minute, I'm a unicorn! Can't I just do this?" She focused on the doorknob, a sparkly blue aura surrounding it as it turned, the door opening. To her surprise, standing in her room was another pony, albeit this one being an alicorn.

"Woah, another pony? Where did you come from?" She asked excitedly.

"Wait, you're ALREADY a pony?" The red one tilted his head to the side. "But that can't be right, Princess Cel..." He paused for a moment before continuing. "I mean Celestia and Luna had informed me that there was another human who was destined to cross over into Equestria the same way I was brought there... but they didn't say anything about her already being a pony!"

"Ah, well I took a potion that I made that turned me into a pony! Does that help clear things up?"

"A little, though at the same time, I suppose it makes my job a little bit easier!" He chuckled. "The name's Draco Scales, I've been sent here to bring you to Equestria!"

Amber didn't quite know what to say - it appeared the solution to her problem was easier than she first thought. "...That was convenient!" She laughed. "My name's Amber..." She paused for a moment, trying to think of a fitting last name. "...Amber Reverie! So you're a pony that was previously a human?"

The tall red pony nodded. "Indeed, several years ago I got called over to Equestria when my life was going nowhere, I liked it there so much that I decided to stay. I've made a nice number of friends, settled down with a lovely mare... all really good compared to how things here were going!"

"Neat! So if I'm going to be going to Equestria, am I going to need to bring much?"

"You could always do what I did and bring some essentials, or items that you don't want to leave behind!"

"That shouldn't be too much of a problem, I can bring some of my science stuff and a couple of essentials... I do have time to pack, right?"

"Trust me, that portal's not going anywhere until we've both gone through!" He gestured to the swirling portal that was currently taking residence in her bedroom mirror.

"Awesome! I promise I won't be TOO long if I can help it!" She smiled, using her magic to grab a suitcase from the cupboard before packing it up with stuff.

"Heh... this is gonna be a fun thing to explain to the sisters and the princess - if she was able to make a successful pony transformation potion, who knows what else she could cook up?" Draco thought to himself, smiling softly. "Would be quite fun to try out a griffin form... oh, that'd be so awesome in my transformed state, a dragon-griffin hybrid!" He giggled.

"Something the matter?" Amber asked.

"Oh no, not at all! Just thinking of what your scientific prowess could bring to Equestria is all~" He grinned.
