In The Jungle
Once settled in the kids woke up the very next day for training with their parents. Tamati and Ammy would handle stealth combat, Fox and Krystal would handle piloting and range shooting while Fang and Fara were left with physical combat, before they started Fang handed them each a sword forged by his own hands except for Jewel who already had her own weapons.
"Wait! aren't we suppose to use sticks?"
"If you wanna take the long version of sword training."
Their training kicked off in the blink of an eye as they found themselves firing real guns and going head to head with their parents. The guns were the easy part but when it was time for the stealth combat they grew nervous as Tamati and Ammy lead them to a clearing in the jungle then suddenly disappearing leaving only a few rations of food.
"Mom? Dad?"
"This is your lesson: Find us and take us out before we find you."
This sounded like complete suicide even for Thomas since he would see his dad sneak up on his mom around the house whenever he came home but now they were out in the wild and constantly on their toes.
"Stay close or they'll pick us off."
"I'm with Jewel on this one."
"Yeah yeah definitley."
Jewel was brave like her father and was use to being in the woods since they use to go camping together. Hours passed and so far nothing was in sight until Rebecca heard something rustling through the bushes and decided to investigate, slowly she moved up to the bush and carefully peeked behind and saw nothing.
"Hmm...that was weird."
"WATCH OUT!!!!"
Thomas suddenly pushed her aside as a raptor pounced out of nowhere pinning him to the ground. Marcus found a large dead branch and slammed the beast on the side of its head but not before it clawed Thomas on his chest.
"RUN FOR IT!!"
They ran as fast as they could while more raptors appeared out of nowhere. They soon found themselves cornered at the base of a cliff with the raptors closing in all around until suddenly a strange insect like girl appeared and frightened them off with a cold stare as they ran back into the dark of the jungle.
Tamati and Ammy appeared from the trees to see Thomas bleeding from his chest, seeing the young fox wounded the girl kneeled down and placed her hand on his wound before closing her eyes and in a strange glow Thomas was healed but still fatigued from his injury and drifted off to sleep.
"Tamati who or what is she?"
"....She's an aparoid and one of the good ones."
After the end of the war many of the aparoids who had human traits came out of hiding and only wanted peace with all the other beings of the system and only asked that they be allowed to dwell among them, Fang was one of the first to agree to this and since then they had proved themselves valuable allies to the federation.
"Who are you?"
"My name is Cassara..."
