A lone Fox goes on a mission to revenge his family.

I wrote this piece a long time ago, figured I'd post it here.

Contains rough language, violence and so on.

"it is, what it is" I said and grabbed my long jacket from the hanger. Today would be the day, I would finally get my revenge from that pile of filth. I reached for the doorknob and twisted it lightly, sighing heavily, this might be the last time I walked out this door.

The corridor was dark and quiet, I stepped out of my apartment and in to the darkness, the door made a clicking sound as I pulled it close behind me. I took one last good look at the door and turned around; it was time to go. My steps were heavy and it felt like each one was harder than the last, I had been waiting so long for this, yet now that it was time it was not as easy as I had envisioned.

My tail softly coming behind me, and my fur standing on the edge I slowly made my way down the stairs, this place held so many memories. I remembered my wife walking down with me the first day we had moved here, I remembered my daughter playing outside and racing these stairs with me. My ears dropped down as a tear ran down from my eye, making a dark spot on my jacket.

It had all happened so fast, a group of white wolves had driven right to us, they looked like any bunch of guys just having a good time. One from the group had come out and asked for a cigarette, of course we didn't have any, and even if we would have, I doubt it would have mattered. The wolf had gotten enraged, and ran back to the others yelling that we are holding out on them. That's when one of them had gotten up from the sunroof and pulled a gun from their jacket. Oh god I could still hear the echoes of the gun going off, three times it banged, three bullets were shot, and three people were hit. The wolves then fled, leaving me, my wife and our daughter there to die.

I was the only one to survive, though every day I wish I hadn't, my wife and my beautiful daughter, taken from this earth too early, I could still smell the blood-soaked fur from that night, I could remember the doctors rushing to save me. I ran my paw against my jacket, and felt the shape of a large pistol, eye for an eye was all I could think. I was no longer the fox I used to be, all that remained was an instrument of revenge, my tail graciously swinging behind me as I reached the front door of the building. It made a very mechanical click as it opened and I could smell the fresh winter's air, almost as if it was biting my nose.

It was late but even for as dark as it was the snow was illuminating everything, the streetlights were reflecting off the pure white ground, causing them to shine off brighter than normal. As I made my way toward my car, I could see the trees swaying in the distance, the snow was blowing across the empty parking lot like a vast ethereal being.

The eerie quiet of the winter night was only broken by the howling of the wind, it was as if the nature itself knew my intentions, it wept for me, crying in the corners of concrete walls. My paw reached out for the key and I pushed a button, the car blinked twice and the inside lights turned on. I opened the trunk of the blue sedan, its back lifted up heavily, and was covered in snow. The tarp covering the inside of the trunk got a layer of the white powder, which seemed to clear some of the muffled shapes of guns underneath.

I wiped the side of the driver's door clean with my paw, the snow was cold and melted on my fur, forming little icicles as the melted snow froze again in the coldness. The car was a cold lifeless piece of metal plastic and fabric, until I inserted the key and started it, the start ran a few times, every time a little slower, and for a second it sounded like it was not going to make it, the battery was going to die before the car would start, then the sound of the engine waking up from it slumber filled the car and I sighed in relief.

All the lights of the car turned on, illuminating the front and the inside in green and blue, the car was awake and ready to take me where ever it was that I wanted. It was incredibly cold; my every breath was fogging up the windshield. I turned up the heater and started backing out of my parking spot. -29c, the thermometer said, it was cold today, colder than it had been for a long time. There were only one set of tire marks leading out of the parking lot as I left, the disruption of my car was gone and the parking lot returned to its desolate quietness.

The streetlights were racing past me as I drove, the engine was roaring under the hood like a jaguar wanting to be tested. I pushed my paw down and the roaring of the engine engulfed any other noise in the car. I pushed my left paw down on the clutch and shifted the gears, then pushed my right paw on the gas pedal again. I was driving fast, the streetlights raced faster and faster, the snow falling had formed vertical lines coming directly toward me.

I had been trying to find the wolves for many years after my recovery from the gunshot wound. The bullet had hit me directly to the chest, just where I had kept a necklace my wife had given me as a gift, it had slowed the bullet just enough to not enter in to my lungs. Police was no help, they had told me to not get involved, that they would find them, but after a year of nothing I could no longer just sit by. I had tracked them to an abandoned storage hall, using a large network of virus inflicted computers to snoop the internet for his name, then his alias and finally his computer. The wolf who pulled the gun, was not just any regular wolf from down the street, he was a cold-blooded killer, a leader of a very well-known criminal organization, The Pack.

The Pack was wanted in more countries than any other organization, it was comparable to the Italian Mafia in many ways, they would only accept Wolves as members, and treated others as lesser, and they especially hated hybrids like me. I growled at the thought of him, their leader also known as the White Death, had been my target for several years, I had been attacking them through the internet, revealing their plans to the Police, and when that was no longer good enough, I had started moving their information to rival gangs, and even planted a gang war between The Pack and a motorcycle gang.

But now, now it was time to end it once and for all, I turned in to a very dark unpaved road and turned off my lights, so they couldn't see me coming. Very slowly I drove closer to a storage hall, the closer I got the more anxious I felt. I took the car off the gear and pulled the handbrake; it was time to get out and start the last chapter of this story. I turned off the car and took the key putting it in to my pocket, slowly I pushed the door open, trying to make no noise at all. I walked to the back of the car, closing the driver's door behind me, it felt like the air had cooled even more.

"Here we go." I whispered to myself, the cold was frothing my breath, causing the words to be a visible shadow in the dark. I pulled away the tarp, and under it was a very large rifle, consisting of a large scope, a bipod, two clips full of bullets about the size of one's finger, a strap and a silencer, about half of the size of the barrel for the rifle. Very carefully I inspected first the clips both were full, holding fifteen bullets each, I clipped one in to the rifle, it made a very metallic clicking sound as the mechanism locked it in to place. Then I grabbed the scope and slid it to a rail that went on top of the rifle and then removed the shielding covers from both sides of the scope and flicked a switch on the side of it. There was a whining noise as the night vision function on the scope started to turn on, I pulled the rifle to my shoulder and aimed, I could see every detail of the forest, in shades of green. I flicked the switch again and the green glow from the scope dissipated, I placed the stock of the rifle on my foot paw and started screwing in the suppressor, it was very long but did not weigh much.

The bipods would be attached to the bottom of the barrel, I grabbed the strap, and attached it to the rifle and threw it on my back. The gun with the silencer on was now so long it was clearly visible coming over my shoulder. I closed the trunk and started walking away, the blinkers waved me good bye as I locked the car behind me, I was ready to move closer to my target.

Very slowly and quietly I moved through the cold and frozen forest, the lights of the hall lit the sky right above it. They would have no idea what was waiting for them, I would take them all out, and vanish like dust in the wind it would be like I would have never even been there. I had planned this for a very long time, getting the rifle and the silencer had been very hard, but through some contacts I had been able to buy them under the counter.

My vision in the pitch-black vas adequate, and I could easily navigate in the thick brush that was the woods, without making too much noise. I wanted to find a high vantage point, where I could see the whole area, but the only place like that was on the other side of the hall. I would have to sneak around the entire area before reaching it, and I did not know if there was anyone patrolling the vicinity or not. The hall was heavily guarded, the plans that I had recovered from the hard-drives of The Pack suggested that the guard force was at least twenty wolves at any time. This was their main stock pile, and during the gang war it had been hit hard, now they took no chances.

I reached inside my jacket and grabbed a large pistol from its holster, I quickly made sure that the safety was off, and cocked the gun slowly. Although hoping that I would not have to use it prior to reaching my target position, I had also acquired a silencer for the pistol. I grabbed a small explosive from my pocket and taped it in to a tree, then pushed in a remote detonator, this was to serve as a distraction just before I would open fire.

My ears perked up and froze, there was movement ahead, I could not tell what it was but I could see a shape moving. I crouched down and waited to see which way it was going; the shape was not quite large enough to be a wolf but I had to be sure. The area was remote enough for wildlife to sometimes wonder here, but not far enough to make it common, I aimed through my sights and started approaching it, very slowly. The snow under my paws made a very slight creaking sound as it compressed under it, I could see the shape react to this quickly, almost as if it would have heard me. Then as quickly as it had moved, it started running away now it was easy to tell it was just a fox.

I got up and continued walking, I could hear the sound of my heart beating in my ears and a cold shiver running through my spine. The snowing had intensified, now it felt like the forest was nothing more than white with black shapes around, my head was getting covered in white as the snow was sticking to my fur. It wasn't very far now, just a few more meters to climb up the hill and I would be able to position myself for the job. I thought of my wife, the beautiful blue fur on her, her soft hair and piercing blue eyes, then I thought of our daughter, she had been so young no one deserves what we went through. Anger fired in me, one that I had buried deep in to me, I had not allowed myself to think of that day, it was too painful. The shrink that I had talked to after my recover had told me that I had to deal with the events, I had to process them to be able to live. What does he know, he wasn't the one whose life was destroyed, he wasn't the one with all the pain, he was just there to do his job, nothing more! No one knew what it was like but I would make this right, I would take the life of that bastard of a wolf, and all who were with him, he would die tonight!

Reaching the vantage point, I could clearly see the whole area, just as planned, even with heavy snow fall shapes were easy to see against the white background. I holstered my pistol and started taking off my jacket, revealing the completely white t-shirt I was wearing, my neck fur which was black as the night. The inside of my jacket was completely white, I had layered it again just for tonight, inside of it was a flap that could be opened up with a few snaps. As I finished pushing my arms in to the now white trench coat, I opened the snaps on the coat extending it all the way down to my paws, covering me completely. I knew that once the first round was shot, it would attract attention, and I wanted to be as invisible as one could be in snow, and black fur just did not match with white.

Once the jacket was completely closed, I took the rifle from my back and lifted it on to my shoulder, I removed the lens covers and flipped the scope on. There were at least five wolves in the visible areas of the storage, looking in the shadows I could see three more. The hall had a lot of old scrap metal pieces lying about, along with tires and a few old cars, it was very open to the naked eye, but closed inspection it had a lot of places to hide.

Laying down on the cold snow I opened the bipod of my rifle and laid it down on the ground. I pulled a hood from the back of my jacket on to my head, I took one last long breath of air, and sighed there would be no turning back now. The snow quickly covered my body, making me even harder to spot in the dark night, the pit of my stomach was tensed up. I reached in to my pocket to grab the remote detonator and placed it right next to my rifle I would detonate that, as soon as I had gotten a few of those shit heads. In the dark tranquil night, the snow fall covering my paw prints and me, the only sound to be heard was the wind whistling atop the trees.

I cocked the rifle, and selected semi-automatic mode from the switch plate, I pushed my cheek against the butt of the rifle, I had shot countless of times with this gun in the practice range. I could shoot a cigarette off of these wolves from this distance, I breathed heavily and looked for the first target. Three of the wolves were grouped, that would not be a good place to start, they were gathered there to smoke and chat.

"There we go" I whispered silently, one of the wolves had gone in the woods to relieve himself. My finger slowly moved on to the trigger, I centralized the crosshair to the back of the wolves' head.

"Good night" I said, and slowly started squeezing the trigger, the wait for the first shot was always intense, but now instead of a target I was taking a life. The trigger slowly pulled towards me and the mechanism inside the rifle triggered, the hammer hit the end of the casing, causing the primer to explode, igniting the gunpowder inside. A loud but sharp bang deafened the woods, the bullet exited the muzzle of the gun in a subsonic speed and rushed through the dark night hitting and piercing the cranial of the target. The wolf fell on his knees, and then on his muzzle, making the snow around him completely red. The other wolves had heard the loud noise and were investigating, they had taken out their flashlights and were franticly searching for the cause of the sound.

The second target was walking on his own with his flashlight, at the side of the storage structure, he was shining the flash light up and down the hill near me, and trying to look for the source of the loud noise. The rest of the remaining four wolves had moved together and were yelling to each other, trying to verify that no one had gone missing. I took another deep breath and targeted the lonely wolf, slowly squeezed the trigger, and thought of my wife. "Fuck you too" Another bullet flew through the cold night, the impact flew the wolf on his back, immediately painting the wall and ground in red. Now the three started to realize what was going on, and one of them was holding a walkie-talkie. I grabbed the remote and pushed the button, a sudden explosion came from the other side of the complex, that got the wolves attention and they drew their guns and started shooting in to the woods.

"Wrong way, fuckers" The wolves had moved in cover, but were facing the wrong direction, I had a clear visual to all three of them. I targeted the most left one, squeezed the trigger, and he was gone, then I moved my scope right targeted, and squeezed, just as I had moved my scope to the last one I could tell he had noticed that they were facing the wrong way. He tried to turn around but it was too late, I squeezed the trigger one last time, and then it was quiet.

The snow continued to fall down, and started covering the still warm bodies, the scene was calm but eerie, and I knew more would come soon, as they would realize that their friends had been shot. I still had five bullets left in my clip and all of them were dedicated to the wolves here today. The snow under me started feeling cold, it wouldn't be long now till more would come out of those doors, but the waiting was eating away on my nerves. A loud snap could be heard coming from the hall, all of the high-powered lights were turned on, completely illuminating the surrounding area. I switched the night vision off, and continued scoping without it, in some areas of the hall grounds, it was as bright as day. Some of the light reflected off the snow and were slightly illuminating my location as well, but I wasn't worried, I was too far away for them to notice me even if there was some light. The door to the building opened up fast, with three wolves running out, they were heavily armed, and all of them carrying assault rifles and what seemed as bullet proof vests.

I could see them talking to each other from the froth that was forming from their muzzles, then they separated and started scouting the grounds. A larger black wolf was heading toward the first wolf that I had taken out, another scrawnier looking brown headed wolf started walking toward the hill I was situated in and the third was going toward the sight of the three downed wolves. The scrawny wolf was making it impossible to shoot, as he would surely notice any attempt to do so, and if I were to shoot him there, the sound would alarm the rest to come this way.

I reached for my pocket and grabbed my phone, I had planted another surprise for the wolves, but this one was not an explosive, rather just a very clever virus in their computer system. I opened an app in the phone, and clicked what looked like a speaker on it, as my finger touched the screen, the PA system came alive and started playing music, it was so loud that it distorted and started crackling, the wolves were holding to their ears as they were trying to shoot out the speakers. I targeted the large black wolf, took a deep breath in, and squeezed the trigger, a casing flew out of the side of the gun with five others melting its way closer to the ground. The music had masked my shot completely, and now the scrawny wolf had started heading back to the hall, trying to get rid of the speakers. The brown headed one had managed to shoot one of the speakers down and the music was no longer playing quite as loud. Once more I pushed my cheek against the stock of the gun, aimed and squeezed the trigger. I felt the familiar feeling of recoil push against my shoulder as the wolf flew back, and painted the ground, there was one more left.

The scrawny wolf aimed at the last speaker and release a burst of shots, I could see the shells fly off the gun before I could hear the noise of the gun being fired. It was quiet again, no music no noise just the wolf standing there in the middle of the yard, alone with his gun. He looked around him, he became fully aware what had been going on around him, I could see his expression change in to horror through my scope, as he tried to make a run for it. A shell casing flew out of my rifle as the loud bang once more filled the surrounding silence, once more it was quiet. Two bullets left, I had counted every shot it was time to switch clips, I reached for the back of my coat and grabbed the second clip. I pushed a small lever on the gun and heard the release mechanism click and let go of the current clip, as I pushed the last one in, I took the bullets from the old one and put them in my pants pocket. The empty clip I placed back in to my jacket pocket, and collected all the shell casings off the ground, I did not want to leave any definitive evidence to the spot.

Now they would not be coming out anymore, it was time to move to the second phase of my plan, infiltration. I got up from the ground and shook off what seemed like a mountain of snow that had piled on me, I re-snapped the extension of my jacket and turned it around. The Crispy winter air reminded me again that it was cold, and after laying in the cold snow bank my body temperature had dropped, so it felt even colder. I had no time to wait, I had to head over to the hall as soon as I could, at this point there must have been reinforcements on their way. I lifted the rifle to my back and secured the strap going across my front, then I started walking down the hill toward the building.

I pulled out my silenced pistol and checked the clip, ten bullets, it was full. The hill was steep and my claws were the only thing keeping me upright, they were digging in to the frozen ground and snow under my paws, my tail was helping with the balancing as well, going left and right as I ran down the hill. There were at least twelve more to go, but I only had ten bullets in my pistol, I had counted that there'd be more outside but the frigid weather had pulled one on me, and the wolves couldn't be out, even with their heavy fur coats and jackets, the cold still seeps in after a long enough time.

The front door to the building was right on the side where the hill was, there was a small room right after that, from that room you could get in to a corridor that lead to the main storage hall. I had downloaded the plans to this place, tapped in to their security cameras and observed, I knew the building like it would have been my own. With my left paw, I felt my left side, there were three bumps on the heavy jacket, flash bangs, three of them. As I reached the front door, I could hear the wolves talking inside, they were panicking and weren't sure what to do.

"Something is out there, killing all our men!" someone yelled, the voice was filled with fear and was quite clearly shaking. The gang was well known for its ruthlessness, it was not like them to be afraid of anyone or anything.

"Snap out of it mutt! We'll just bunker here until the others arrive." another voice said, this one was not nearly as scared as the first one. "We'll see about that" I whispered to the air. There was no way for me to enter the building unnoticed, I was not sure how many wolves there would be in the small room, but I had no other choice but to go in and find out I had gone too far to back down now.

I reached for one of the three flash bangs, I brought it close to my muzzle "flash them good" I whispered to it and pulled the safety pin off. I let go of the lever, which flew almost half a meter off of the grenade, I now had a live explosive in my paws, I grabbed the door handle and opened it just enough to toss the flash bang in to the room. I covered my ears as a loud bang came from the room, I jumped up and kicked the door open, there were three very disoriented wolves in the room they had gotten the full effect of the grenade. I aimed at the first and pulled the trigger, a loud click like sound filled the room and I felt the recoil of the gun pushing against my paw. The bullet hit its target downing the wolf immediately, I then aimed the next one, who was screaming and covering his eyes, one click and he was down as well. The last one had fainted from the loud bang; he was lying next to the flash bang and had burn marks on his fur. I aimed at his head and pulled the trigger; the shell made a metallic clink as it hit the floor.

"Three less" I whispered and looked at my pistol, the muzzle was still smoking from the shots fired, the clip still had seven bullets in it. My entrance had not gone unnoticed as I heard running from the long corridor, they were coming for me. "What the hell was that!" I heard a shout come from the corridor, the running stopped and I heard guns being cocked, I knew they were waiting for me now. The main switch for the power was located in two places of the building, one was in the small office room that I was in now, and the other one was at the other end of the building in a small office box inside the storage hall. No doubt they would turn the power back on quickly if I turned it off, but it might just give me enough time to deal with the wolves in the corridor.

I holstered my pistol and slowly made my way to the far-right corner of the office, the entrance to the corridor was on the left corner with the door wide open.

"Jack, Nick, Dave! Are you ok down there?" A concerned yell came from the corridor, but no answer would ever be heard, apparently those were the three wolves that had been in this room. I grabbed the rifle from my back, this would be the only gun suitable in the dark, I moved the adjustable scope ring to reduce the zoom to a minimum making it more usable indoors, and flicked on the night vision. I would only have a short period of time to pull this through, so I had to be quick. My paw placed on the switch I was ready to run to the door with my rifle and take the shots, it would have to be fast and accurate, I did not have another chance at this.

"Jack! Don't play games with me you fucks!" The voice sounded angry and they would no doubt storm the room soon, I had to act now. "Three, two" I counted to myself, those stomach cramps had reappeared this was insane what was I doing just leave now. "One... go" I pulled the switch and sure enough the building went completely dark, I ran to the door as fast as I could. "What the..." I could hear one of the wolves say. I stopped myself quickly at the door, my paws slid slightly on the concrete floor, as my claws were no use here. I pulled my rifle to my shoulder and looked through the scope, there were four wolves, shit! One of the wolves was on the stairs going up, two of them were in the middle of the corridor and the last one was at the very end of the corridor, there were also three doors in the corridor, one at the top of the stairs one at the end where the wolf was and a third one where I was now crouching.

There was no time to think of anything, I could only aim and shoot. I aimed at the wolf in the end of the hall, the gun made a much louder noise now that I was inside, it echoed from the walls and rang like someone would have hit metal against metal. The wolf fell down on the cold concrete floor with a loud thump, the others panicked, but before anyone had time to shoot, I had already pulled the trigger again, the same ringing went through the building, and another wolf fell down. I had shot the one on the stairs and as he fell, he went all the way down the stairs, his gun hit the metal steps as he fell on it.

More loud shots were fired, but this time not by me, the gun that the wolf had fallen on started firing to the side of him, creating a very noisy and bright distraction. I aimed again; the two remaining wolves were trying to shoot at the only light source they could see. I felt the recoil of the rifle on my shoulder, then I aimed quickly again, and squeezed the trigger again. Two empty shells fell on the ground, very nearly at the same time, and then once more it was quiet, but this quiet did not last long. I could hear yelling and paw steps in the distance, I needed to move now that it was still dark. I started running toward the stairs and pushed my rifle to my back and tightened the strap.

"Five left" I pulled out my pistol again, and pushed up the stairs as fast as I could, my paws did not like the metal stairs, these were meant for paws with safety boots on, not bare ones. As I reached the top of the stairs, the lights came back on and I jumped to the corner of the small room that lead to the catwalk on top of the storage area. I had had to react so fast that I hit the ground with more force than intended, my tail got a beating in the process.

The top room had only one door, and one window, from the window you could only see the cat walk and the wall on the other side, it was too high and too slim to see anything more. I got up from my corner and started to walk toward the window to take a look, a sharp pain went through my tail and made me cringe.

"Someone is in, kill the fuck!" Someone yelled from down the stairs, they had seen the bodies. Through the stairs and the railing, I could see a gray head moving around. I quickly aimed and shot, the wolf fell down on top of one of the others he had been investigating, but that had been a mistake the loud click had given away my position to the remaining four wolves.

"He's upstairs, get him!" I recognized that voice, it was the white wolf who had asked for the cigarettes, and he had to die! I ran from the room to the cat walk exposing myself to whomever might be up there, the anger was burning in me. Tears ran down my muzzle as I ran toward the end of the hall, I remembered everything again like it would have just happened, my wife reaching for my paw, my daughter crying and the wolves laughing. At the end of the hall, there was a small corridor that connected the two sides together, that side was also the side with the small office box. I reached for a flash bang, grabbed one and pulled the pin, I threw it as hard as I possibly could, aiming at the middle of the corridor, hoping it would ricochet to the other side and blind who ever might be there. As the grenade left my paw the safety lever flew off of it, and hit the wall next to me, the grenade hit right in the middle of the corridor and bounced from it to the other side, I could hear the grenade landing on the metal floor on the other side and I covered my ears.

After a very loud explosion, and a blinding flash I ran through the corridor with my pistol, one of the wolves had been caught in the bang, and I shot him without even thinking twice, the bullet pierced his cranial hitting the metal floor beneath and piercing even that hitting the concrete floor at the bottom. That alarmed the three remaining wolves to my location, and now the ghost was no longer a ghost, the wolves opened fire with their assault rifles shooting at anything that moved. The whole floor suddenly became Swiss cheese, I ran as fast as I could but the wolves kept shooting closer and closer, and I was running out of catwalk.

I gathered all my strength and jumped over the railing, the end of my coat just slightly kissing the railing. the fall was several meters, and I tried to land with as much grace as I could. as my right paw hit the concrete, I started pushing against as hard as I could, then my left paw hit the ground, I crouched down and took the rest of the shock with my left forepaw. My tail was still hurting a lot and it was making moving quickly hard, I took cover behind a large metal box and I could hear the wolves re-loading their guns. My claws tried to grab grip from the concrete floor, only to end up scratching it as I started running from my cover, the wolves had made a huge mistake, they had emptied their clips and now were out of ammo and completely vulnerable for a short period of time. As I ran past the container that they were behind, I could see their stunned looks when I pulled my gun out and aimed, one click and then another, two shells flew out of my pistol. I had shot the wolves on the left and right of the big white wolf and was now aiming at him.

The two wolves fell to the floor almost simultaneously, one bend on his back and the other straight on his muzzle. "What do you want?" The large white wolf pleaded, he had stopped loading his gun, the empty clip was still on the ground where he had dropped it, but he had not had enough time to pull out a full one, it was still on his west. I looked at the wolf straight in his eyes, I wanted nothing from this pile of shit, I wanted him gone, erased, dead!

"I want you t.." A loud bang filled the room, a bullet pierced my shoulder, there were more than twenty. The bullet had ripped right through my right shoulder, and made me drop my pistol, I had no time to think, I had to find cover I quickly grabbed my pistol and ran behind the nearest container. The pain intensified and my whole arm was on fire, I could not shoot with this arm anymore.

"Give up, you can't shoot anymore, maybe we'll be nice to you!" A crackling laugh followed the yelling, there were two of them still, the cigarette borrowing fuck, and the leader of the gang. How could have I been so stupid, of course the leader was here, I had checked that he would be here today. Blood ran down my jacket and my shirt, this needed to end fast, or it would be the end of me.

The large white wolf inserted a full clip in his rifle and shot a couple of rounds toward the container I was hiding behind, I put down my pistol and grabbed my last flash bang and looked at it. "You are my only chance now" I whispered as a flash of pain went through my body, this was not going to be easy. I had practiced shooting with my left paw, but I was nowhere near as good as I was with my right one. Removing the safety pin was incredibly painful, I let go of the lever. I counted to three in my head and threw the grenade directly toward the white wolf, as soon as it was air born it exploded, almost blinding me. The noise was deafening, it pierced my skull, I had not had time to cover my ears and I felt like someone had stabbed my brain. With no time to recover, I grabbed my pistol and pushed myself up against the container, it was getting harder to walk, and everything was getting fuzzy.' My arm extended straight forward I walked from behind the container, and shot four rounds toward the large wolf, most of them hit him and he fell down on the ground, bleeding and groaning in pain. Where the fuck was the leader, I could not see him anywhere, franticly I tried looking everywhere but saw no sight of him, not even a sound.

I heard someone stepping on something metallic, it was one of the levers from my grenades, and the sound came from right behind me. I quickly turned around and pulled the trigger as many times as I could feel the guns recoil, one, two, and then nothing. The gun was empty, and the leader of the pack was laying on the ground, I had hit him in the gut and shattered his shoulder. I slowly stumbled to him, as he was struggling to breath and was coughing up blood, his fur turning red and life slowly fading from his eyes.

"This is for my family, you fuck!" I said and pushed my paw on his throat with my nails fully extended, then pushed fast and hard cutting it open like a knife gutting a fish.

It was over, it was all over, I sighted in relief and holstered my gun, now I just needed to get out of here, back to my car and take care of these wounds. Slowly I made my way toward the front door, I had made sure this asshole would never hurt another fur, and his gang would surely fall like he did. Then the pain shot through my body again, and the loss of blood made everything spin, I wasn't sure if I could make it to the car after all. I heard sirens in the distance, someone had called the police, maybe there was hope, I fell on my knees as everything started going dark, I could smell my wife's hair and somewhere I heard the giggles of my little girl.
