~ The goat's ears perked again, a cup with gradually melting ice on the table before him, and sighed. For all of the raucous chatter and music of the arcade, the dining area was only sparsely populated. A plate of french fries cooled slowly next to the empty sign-up sheet.

~ After checking his phone, to make sure he'd sent out the correct schedule to the listserv, Marcus slipped the clipboard from next to the crudely assembled sign to fold them both together and dropped the pair into the bag of cheap trophies he'd brought with him.
