notail species belong to the creator of Fortuna

Modern Lemyria, a city of advanced technology and all sorts of strange creatures and anomalies. This here is a short little tale about a very special anomaly by the name K-13205.

It was dusk in the city of Lemyria, the streets still very hustle and bustling about with it's inhabitants. Down said street came a notail. They bobbed their head back and forth shimmying quite happily. Stopping a person in the street.

"You there. Subject!" The notail spoke up. "Please point me to your information receptacle." They followed up.

The male standing there gave them a very disturbed look before they shrugged. "Dude, what's an information receptacle? You talking like a census? An archive? A library? What?" The blue haired individual rubbed his head most puzzled.

"A receptacle, subject. The place which your people hold your information. I wish to visit it!" K-13205 spoke up. "In return I shall bestow upon you my knowledge of math if you do as I ask. :3"

The man took a step backwards. "Yeah... No need to share nothing but. The archives are due north of here." He pointed to the right of him. "About three blocks out. Good luck with your... Receptacle."

"Thank you subject! It is most appreciated!" The notail frolicked along the streets seeming to be quite the oddity, but not because of how they looked. They did wear a lovely blue top and neon green bottoms which complimented it so very nicely, and a green scarf to boot!

No what quirked the brows of the street walkers was more the frolicking going on. And the overly jubilant attitude of the notail. It was quite peculiar in Lemyrian customs to ever be seen in such a merry way.

K-13205 finally came up to what could be described as a vastly large building; giant pillars of blue and green marble held up a giant ceiling of stone. Stairs as far as the eye could reach, just to get to the top of the entrance to the archive itself.

"TF! This is gonna take forever! OwO" They mentioned in their head. "Better begin!" They stepped along the stairs. One by one they climbed the beautifully kept stairway for what felt like an eternity.

Finally after a tiring jaunt they had made their exhaustive journey up to the entrance of the archives two guards sat outside of the entrance. Not saying a word, just standing there diligently.

"owo Seems they may be busy." They mumbled.

"Take heed. There are many tricks and traps that still remain inside of the grand archives. Things that no one had found since they were built. So if you are to enter, you understand the risks." The guard said in a powerful tone, stern. But not uncaring.

"Okay number 21! I'll be extra careful!" Though it certainly was doubtful they would, the guards knew it were more a formality than a true warning...

K-13205 walked into the vast library like place, natural light still barely penetrating the ceiling of the regal looking archive. The notail jumped with excitement. "Sweet sweet knowledge!" They rubbed their hands together with a mischievous giggle.

Zipping deep into the labyrinth that is the ancient library. The notail wasted no time to find what kinds of trouble it could get into. Sliding between two bookshelves they found themselves in a small little creviced area. In there was a very poor covering of what looked like a hole. Plastered away and didn't even paint over it.

K-13205 grinned and gave it a firm knocking. No sooner did they do so, the wall itself near collapsed! Poor fitting and everything around it! The notail covered their head as it came tumbling down. "Curiouser and curiouser." They mumbled.

Walking through the darkened area, grabbing their backpack from their back and pulling forth a little AI. "Flashlight!" They commanded. Soon after they picked up the luminescent little bot using them to guide their journey.

They found bloodied words scrawled on a floor, a book in the middle of it and a giant box locked off, The notail yawned and walked past it. "Too. Easy." They laughed.

Finding an old pile of books on the floor though, this piqued their interest. "OwO" Their face gleamed with delight. Scrambling over and searching through the books! Underneath them was a teal box, it was... glimmering and almost pearlescent. Gold runes on each side of the box in an unknown language to the notail.

"Hmmmm." They pondered and tried to open the box. No latches, no strength could open the box for them! Taking the box the notail dropped it hard on the ground beneath them! The glass holding the teal substance shattered! The viscus liquid pooled beneath the creature.

"OwO What TF might this be?" They said. The goop began climbing their feet and even slinking up their legs. Everything seemed to be getting just a bit taller to them. When they glanced down they noticed they were actually getting shorter. Becoming part of the beautiful blue puddle.

"Just my luck isn't it!" They laughed it off. As their body was being liquified into a blue rubbery substance a rather pleasant smile on their face as they glooped down to the floor.

But it wasn't the end of this strange little anomaly. The glop of blue liquid started to wriggle and mold and squish about. Thrashing around as it started to reform once again. Turning itself into a human like face, the goo formed itself into a mask. A beautiful feline like shape with a "OwO" stare on it always.

"Mwehehehe." Echoed through the halls of the archives, for which no one knows if anyone would ever uncover the notail mask, or to what the mask would do to them if ever worn...
