Just a Movie

Just a thing I kinda tossed together, consider it practice.

The outside downpour complimented the horror movie just as well as Fox's muffled cries of terror. He tried to keep quiet, he was a mercenary after all, a hero! He faced literal monsters, authoritarian regimes, bandits, and Cornerian politics, a movie should be nothing to him!

And yet it was. The vampire flashing fangs on a holo-screen got to him. It got to him more than any bandit or dinosaur could. After a tense handful of seconds followed by an expected jumpscare, Mccloud couldn't hide his fear anymore. With a noise that was something in-between a scream and a squeak, he practically slammed his head into the big, dark-furred chest of a wolf that had his arms wrapped around his shoulder.

Wolf O'Donnell let out a soft *oof* upon impact but didn't waste time in pulling his boyfriend into a full embrace. Wolf chuckled but he didn't make fun of Fox. Frankly, he loved it all too much to risk Fox trying to be brave again. Mccloud was brave all the time, it was most of his job, so in the rare times when the two mercenaries enjoyed a private moment alone, Fox allowed himself to be scared. Wolf was all too happy to wrap his foxie fox up in his manly arms.

The loveseat they shared was aptly named, although small, whatever brought them closer was a good thing in both of their eyes.

Wolf gently stroked Fox's head with a paw, his other arm pulling Fox even tighter against his body. Both wore simple pajamas, but only Wolf decided to forgo the shirt, letting Fox bury his face in his surprisingly fluffy fur.

"Don't worry foxie fox, I'll keep ya safe."

Mccloud looked up at his boyfriend, pulling his head back just enough so the two could make eye contact. Green met grey, wordlessly they communicated.

"Foxes are slippery, you'll have to hold me tight,"

Wolf chuckled once again. "I will."

Their lips met, a soft kiss quickly turning into a passionate one. They held each other, totally forgetting about the movie, the rain, or anything else but the who was in their arms

"I love you," Wolf broke the kiss, a gentle whisper that made Fox shiver in all the right ways.

"I know."
