Prolouge: The new kid comes to town
#1 of Stories from a not so average high school life.
The world's changed since Genetech opened up in 2020. Humans who were tired with how they looked or what they were. Many people went and changed by becoming part animals called Anthros. Anthros were shunned by society at first but then people realized just how effective the changes were. At first humans and Anthros weren't allowed to have children and anyone born to such coupling was exiled if not executed. However after a few years the halfbreeds as both races considered them had a revolution and the three groups were forced to coexist. That was about 50 years ago though, and most people don't really care about what group your a part of now. Genetech is now the number one employer and officially has become a branch of the government.
That's where my family comes in. My dad is one of Genetech's top genetecists, my mom is one of their top lawyers, my older brothers and sisters all work in some of the branches. After my brothers and sisters moved out my parents told me that we were moving to a new town for their job. So we moved to some remote town out in the Arizona dessert where the only other people and furs were Genetech employees and their kids like us. When we got to town my parents found out that I'd have to go to a highschool that was completely different from my old school. This is the story about my school, my new friends, my family's adjustment to the changes Genetech put us through, and me.
