Love after all
This is my first time writing a story, so go easy on your critisism.

It was the first day of summer vacation, that means sand, surf, and no teachers. I walked out of my two story beach house and looked around from the porch, my purple headfur was in a mess, and I couldn't care less. As I looked around the beach I had a sad realisation; I had nobody but my friends to spend my summer with. My parents had passed away a month after I moved out, a gas explosion...talk about irony. And I had no lover. I sighed and walked back into the house and getting dressed and getting my headfur fixed up. The phone rang and I picked it up, holding the reciever to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked
"Hey Tai, it's John" Said the voice on the other end. John was a hot boy in my class, about a head taller than me, coyote, and thin but muscular. I wished that I could gather up the courage and actualy ask him his sexuality but I couldn't, I was too shy. And even if I did ask him, than what? Ask him if he'd like to go out with me? No, I'd die of embarrasment.
"Oh hey John, how's it going?"
"It's going fine. I was wondering if you'd like to go to the beach tonight, hang out?"
"Hmm...sounds good to me. We'll meet at my place?"
"Sure. See you tonight at eight" He hung up and than I placed the receiver back in the holder. I smiled to myself, this was as close as a date with John that I could get. Later that night at around 7:55 there was a knock on the door. I walked downstairs and opened the door, and standing there as perfect as ever was John, wearing his grey football team shirt and a pair of jeans. He smiled at me, "I'm early. Do you want to wait five minutes or join me to the beach?" he asked.
I smiled, "Waiting is a bore, lets head to the beach" than I walked out of the house and closed the door behind me. We walked along the beach for a few minutes, bathing in the moonlight, and all the while we talked, and I couldn't keep my eyes off of his face for more than a few secconds at a time, he looked beautiful in the moonlight. Than suddenly he turned to me and stopped us.
"Tai, there's somthing that I've been meaning to do for a while...but I didn't know how you'd feel about it"
I looked at him, a little confused, "What do you mean?"
He looked up at the moon and than down at me, our gazes locked and I could feel my face heat up. He leaned down and kissed me on the lips before quickly pulling away, the entire time he never broke eye contact with me. I felt light headed, had John actualy kissed me?! We had known eachother since kindergarten and I had not once guessed that he was gay! Blackness started taking over my vision and I felt myself falling.
I awoke to find John's upper body over me, him looking concernedly down at me. I realised that my head was in his lap and we were still on the beach, remembering the kiss.
"Are you okay Tai?" He asked softly
"Y-y-y-yes" I said in a shy, soft voice
He smiled softly, but his face seemed appologetic, "I'm sorry I kissed you...I just saw you staring at me for the entire time we were walking and I thought..."
I reached my hand up and put my finger to his lips in a shushing way, "I-it's okay John...I wanted it"
