#3 of Welcome To Asgard
Morning rose over Asgard as Zeng awoke with a fierce headache and several mead cups in his room, then he heard the sound of a female moaning next to him and noticed he was completely naked and next to him was the valkyrie Tanya from last night. Many thoughts ran through his head as he tried to coop with the situation what would Linda think if she ever found out, true he was attracted to her cause of her warrior nature and was very beautiful.
As he got dressed Tanya awoke to see him leaving the room and wondered why he would leave after such a wonderful night which he clearly didn't remember, as Zeng walked through the halls of valhala he spotted Angel who had just come out of the medical room after tending to the wounded soldiers from the first siege.
"Morning....Zeng what's wrong?"
"We have a problem."
The moment Zeng told her about the situation she freaked out instantly and quickly hid them from sight so they would not attract attention.
"This is bad....how am I gonna explain this to Linda when I get back home?!?"
"Uh Zeng-"
"Sure I was drunk last night but that doesn't make it better."
"Zeng-"
"And if my mothers find out-!"
"ZENG!!! you can't return home....I'm sorry..."
"What?!?.....what do you mean I can't return home?!?"
"The only way you can return home is to make a deal with the goddess of the dead; Hela. And if she relinquishes a sould she will demand one in exhcange...most likely one of your families."
Zeng suddenly dropped what he was about to say after hearing this and Angel knew him well enough to know that he would never sell out one of his own family and so he was stuck forever with what seemed to be no bright side until he saw Tanya dressed in robes smiling at him, then his sorrow slowly began to fade.
"You alright?"
"My family.....I can never see them again...I have...I use to have a wife back home...and three mothers who looked out for me."
"Three mothers?"
"Amazons....I only wish I could see them again..."
"Zeng...I know it's not my place but we are your family now and this is your home...and If i'm right your wife and mothers would want you to be happy."
Without thinking Zeng allowed her to kiss him for a moment as she waved goodbye to go for a stroll around the city, then he noticed what looked like music players heading towards the main hall no doubt as entertainment for tonights festivities after driving off the last of the frost giants and decided that he would join them.
The party was in full swing as the soldiers sang and stomped along with the rythm but just outside the gate a hulking sinister figure growled with hunger as it sniffed the night air.
"Come on Zeng you're up!"
Zeng was pushed in front of the crowd to join the music as they clapped and stomped in rhythm while raising their glasses.
"(crowd) HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!"
"I ROSE UP IN THE MORNING AND I FELT A DIRE NEED! TO DREAM AWAY THE WEARY DAY AND HAVE A CUP OF MEAD!! IGNORING THE STING OF THE HONEY BEES I DRANK AND DRANK SOME MORE!! I AWOKE THE VERY NEXT DAY AND MY FRIGGIN HEAD WAS SORE!!!"
Another soldier was pushed next to Zeng to join him in the song as the music continued while the shadowy figure just stood above the entrance to the party hall.
"(crowd) HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!"
"MY FIRST LOVE CHEATED ON ME AND BEGAN TO TEAR ME APART! SOMEONE POUR ME ANOTHER CUP SO I CAN SOAK MY HEAART!!"
The music was suddenly cut short as the roof came crashing in and a giant troll landed in front of the crowd. The soldiers had never seen a troll so well built and so huge but Angel knew exactly who it was.
"It can't be!"
"RAAAAGH!!!"
"IT'S A TROLL!!!!"
"KILL IT!!!"
Zeng joined in the attack only to be slammed into a table while many of the soldiers were killed and dragged off into the night by the troll, by the time the city guard arrived it was too late, blood had stained the walls and the floors of the hall, Tanya found Zeng who was slightly bleeding from his forehead as he dusted himself off while she helped him to find a seat.
"Angel what was that thing?"
"Grendel....he's returned..."
