Since I love Pokemon and Elite Dangerous, I decided to make a story about what if those 2 universes were combined in some way. With my vulpix Hyper!

(Please give me pointers this is my first story here!)

"When I came to, there was an Erie silence. The low hums of life support and gravity generators gone, and, as I adjusted my eyes, the ship's lighting and computer had gone dark. First 2 things became apparent to me. I was floating, within the ring system of a blue, what looked like an ice giant of a planet. And 2, that my ship was heavily damaged, judging by the hastily gel-sealed holes and the metallic debris in orbit. First thing was first, get to my controls, and see if I could turn on the ship. So I'd have to push myself off a bent-in panel from the ceiling, floating among the wreckage to land, fore-paws first on the dashboard. What instruments weren't damaged were iced over, and I noticed that even as I touched it I'd started to shiver-it was cold even for me, and if I didn't have a natural resistance to it I'd be dead already. My paws worked quickly over the dash to find the one panel that still had power left, reading

Emergency power at 2%. Oxygen low.Main Generator offline. Main engine offline. Short and Long range communications offline.

The rest were more technical talk for 'Everything is dead'. So, my first plan of action was to leave the ship and repair what I could from outside, though, I checked my supplies and all the valuable tools were gone, alone with all food and water. Whatever attacked me had a clear financial incentive. I couldn't do much at that point and stared at the unknown world beside me when I noticed it's fairly hefty atmosphere, which gives me my final idea. If I can manage to get this ship into an atmospheric entry, the heat will be enough to charge my still-operable systems. Though that still relies on 1-being able to get to the planet at a good angle-2 My ship having enough control surfaces and heat shielding to make it accurately, and lastly, nothing else screwing up. So, when I...IF I die, I mean, then let my last message be-Down with all Pirates. This is commander Hyper, signing off."

Hype then placed the black box aside, and started up his suit. Luckily, it still had some power, and with a tap on his watch, his bodysuit folded out from a leotard fashion to a full suit covering all his extremities. A circular glass helmet popped over his head and his suit gradually inflated, taking what oxygen was around him until it was pressurized. Before heading into space he'd test his control sticks, both frozen still, though he'd noticed that he still miraculously had his emergency pistol with him. With a light tap of the trigger, his blaster would let off a wide cone of heat instead of a powerful beam of energy, slowly melting all the ice before it'd have to recharge. Next, he'd push open the cockpit glass, the weakened glass lock breaking and swinging itself open to send the remaining oxygen along with him floating out into space. He'd have to latch onto the glass to keep himself from floating away from his ship. Next, he'd start crawling along the hull of his ship, noting that all the main engines, and his generator were either destroyed or taken, though he'd still have his smaller ones for propulsion. He found his secondary generator port, then blasted the hatch off, pulled out the power cables to it, and followed by pulling apart his pistol, to attach it's generator to his ship's. Now his ship would generate a small amount of power, and he'd quickly crawl back to the cockpit. With his paws on the stick, he'd wait for the power to crawl up to 7% before making little adjustments.

One quick fire of his engines, and the ship would rotate, constantly without stopping. 3%. Wait 30 seconds, then another fire of the opposite engines. Wait another 30 seconds, lightly pull up. Bottom engines start pushing him up out of the ring system. Rinse and repeat, while the pix has to keep himself calm, and his breathing short, with a limited oxygen supply. Eventually, he'd be out of the rings, and he'd make a few more adjustments to push his craft towards the planet. It wouldn't take too long before that big blue sphere grows and grows in his cockpit view.

"The blue world soon eclipsed my vision, and was followed by sparks of fire at my sides, then a full blown flame erupted near me. The whole ship shook more and more violently, and it took all my training and nerves just to keep it from toppling over. Though soon, it'd be all over, and when I could see the air more clearly, I'd look down and spot my power at 98%. Quickly I typed in the message "S.O.S. Rescue Needed!" Though as I was sending the signal, I could hear the sound of metal pulling itself apart, my ship suddenly lurched to the right and careened out of control, and I was thrown from the canopy. My parachute saved me, but I could see my home being torn apart, and going up in a plume of smoke. This place is hell. It's broad daylight here and the sky is still dark. The only star barely provides any light or warmth, and the whole place is just a barren dessert with a few small ridges and canyons. And it's so cold, I never thought I'd miss having a heater." Hyper would grimace at that last line, putting away his recorder as a gust of frigid wind causes him to shiver and wrap his arms around himself. "At least if this is found the fed's might finally do something about those pirates here..."

He'd soon started his long trek to his ship, with everything but his blaster's generator being predictably powdered. Now without a plan, he soon spends long hours wandering across the frigid desert, getting more exhausted with each second. Eventually he'd find his way resting back on his ship, short on breath and energy, without any substance to think of. Desperately hoping the planet had some water ice, he pulled out his blaster and aimed it at the ground. Though the trigger wouldn't budge, and with each futile attempt his eyes widen until he starts to shout and toss it to the ground. "ICE PROOF MY ASS! I COULD-" Suddenly, his ear would twitch, and turn to face behind him. There was a thundering sound, almost like he'd caused it himself. He'd glance back and spot a small glowing object burning a trail in the sky. At first, he'd watch it thinking it was just a meteor, but after a few minutes, the trial would burn off, and the glowing object would shift it's direction in the sky, circling around-Another starship! Hope! He'd quickly jump up and start running underneath it's path, his paws in the air while it started to slowly descend, revealing the dark, slender wedge-shaped ship similar to his. In it's slow descent a gust of wind would knock hyper back, and a bottom hatch would open with a decompressing hiss, with a tall, slender creature descending from the ledge. "Holy crap you did come for me!" Hype quickly ran over to the new person, before getting greeted by a demanding voice, and a pair of red eyes glaring down at him. "Where are the resources?" "The what?!" "You sent a message, S res, for S-class resources, did you not?" "No you got the wrong idea, that was an S.O.S.! I needed saving and you're here!" The creature just groaned and put their hand against their helmet. "I came here to mine an..." Though, they'd then take a look over at the wreckage of Hyper's ship, and smirk a little beneath their helmet. "...I'm going to need payment for coming all the way down here..." "What? Buddy don't pull that crap, I do this all the time a-" "It costed me some fine heat shielding, not to mention the wear and tear on my engine. Are you gonna pay for this?" "MY SHIP IS GONE ASSHOLE! And the pirates took what was lef-" "Oh, so you're also getting me involved with pirates too?" "You know that's not what I meant!" "Let me guess, you got in over your head with your dealings, and now you've come crying to me to help you on an expensive trek to some far off place?" "..." Hyper thought about it, with their sentences being technically true, all he could do was sigh and back away some. "Fine, what do you want from me?" "A return on my investment." "Meaning?" Suddenly, they pointed right at Hype's helmet, with a calm tone. "I want. You. Working for me." "How about you take me back to the federation and I'l-" "I don't deal with feds." "What?! Well you can't just take me! That's like slavery!" "Not if you're willing" "Blackmail!" "Nope, bribery" "Same difference! You can't just kidnap people like this." "Fine, stay on this wasteland then." They'd then just shrug, and slooowly back away from Hyper, seeming to give him ample time before he stomped his feet and shouted back at them* "FINE! Prick! I'll work with you!" Then following them onboard, as they'd close the hatch behind them...

Now on the ship, Hyper would huff slightly, it was now warm, albeit a bit too warm for his tastes. But before he could even get comfortable, the pilot would suddenly launch the ship high in the air, and with a throw of their hands, the ship's main engines turned up to the max to shoot them forward, pushing Hyper all the way back against the wall. The ship then made a steep climb out of the planet, gravity keeping Hyper sealed on the back wall until the planet's blue atmosphere disappeared behind them. For a split moment, Hyper would float away from the wall, before the ship's artificial gravity sent him slamming into the floor. "Are you ok back there?" "Never b-" Drive activatedwas the only thing Hype could catch from the computer, with him cursing a bit under his breath at how fast they were accelerating until boom! They were moving much faster than light! ... A couple minutes of relative silence, and "Ok, names. What would I call my co-worker?" "Don't call me a co-worker." Hyper growled and crossed his arms. "Ok, would you rather pet? Or slav-"

"Hyper. Commander Hyper is my name." "And your skills?" "I can pilot any small vessel within the federation fleet, freighters, and haul cargo for them." "...Any _Other_skills?" "What do you want? Me to tap-dance? I'm a cargo hauler for the federation." "And how's that treating ya?" "...Shut up! And what about you? What kind've skills do you have since you're this badass nameless entity apparently?" The creature then stepped away from their controls, and let their helmet and suit retract to a more relaxed position. Their dark fur, rounded body and glowing rings on their forehead and ears revealed them to be an Umbreon. "I figured you'd be a dark type..." They'd then hold out their paws, with their natural, albeit ambiguous voice coming through unfiltered. "Pulsar. And I'm skilled at evasion, ship-to-ship combat, paw-to-paw combat, most known weapon training, and drilling, to name a few." Hyper just glanced away bashfully while shaking their paw. "I have blaster training..." "Cute." They'd then just bring their paw up to pet Hyper's head. "Stoppit!"
