"Now is the exact time to argue. Why in any world would I burn down our house and make up such a crazy story to cover for it?"

"Maybe the fusing put your body under a lot of stress and you acted your dream out to feel like you actually knew something." (Forest)

"Goddammit Forest. There are forces out there that we know nothing about. You all want to sit here and treat me like I'm insane!"

"Ajax you need to go back to sleep. Its already late, we will talk in the morning." (Mom)

I wanted to keep defending myself, find a way to prove what happened, but I was still tired.

"Fine I will rest. I will prove to you tomorrow, somehow."

I hoped Forest would stay and sleep with me but he left with everyone else.

Hey Seth can you ask Forest to come back. (Me)

I don't know if I should. (Seth)

Please. I just want to apologize to him.

OK, I will ask.

I didn't get another answer, but a minute later Forest walked in. He just stood there, not saying anything.

"Forest... I'm so sorry. I never meant for any of this. I'm sorry for making you worry. You shouldn't have to be dragged into this."

"How could I not be dragged into it. I'm your Goddamn boyfriend. I know it's not your fault, but I don't know what's true anymore."

"Forest, have I ever lied to you?"

"No, but you may just believe what you said. I don't know if it's true."

"Forest. Can you come and sleep with me? It would help me get a good night's sleep."

"I... I Don't think so..."

He turned and left the room. Hearing those words from Forest was like a knife in the chest. My heart ached. I turned to the wall and started crying. I don't know how long passed before I fell asleep.

I awoke to hearing voices in my head.

I want to believe Ajax, but hearing that he dreamed all that stuff makes me think he's actually lost it. (Kade)

Kade, Ajax has always been there for all of us. We need to at least try to be there for him right now. (Lance)

Guys I think that we back Ajax. I feel like he's telling the truth. (Joe)

I got out of bed and headed downstairs to the family room where everyone was sitting down.

"What's for breakfast?" (Me)

"Come sit down Ajax." (Mom)

"Can I not eat first?"

"I will make you something. What do you want?" (Forest's Mom)

"Just some eggs is fine."

I sat down in the only one seat in the room. It was a big recliner that two of me could have fit in.

"OK Ajax can you please tell us again?" (Mom)

"Tell you what again?" (Me)

"Everything that happened yesterday morning."

"I already told you everything. What do you want to check my story again?"

"Just, please?" (Forest)

"OK fine. You all know about Core so I'm going to skip that. I woke up at 4 and decided to go for a walk cause Core said some shit to piss me off. When I was walking, I saw a cars headlights behind me and I waited for it to pass. But it slowed down when It got to me and two other cars come from behind it. I started running, when I was crossing an intersection a black van was going through and I knew it was going to hit me and I called out for core. He appeared in my head and the van hit me. It didn't hurt me and it was crushed. I Started flying and when I did, I saw our house on fire. I landed in it and pulled in a lot of the heat energy. When I came out there were six vans and men got out with guns. So I used all that energy to incinerate the men and vans."

"OK so that is why there was nothing and no one else at the house?" (Farren)

"Yes, I already said that."

"What did core say to you when Forest found you?" (Carson)

"Well before that he was saying that I have to go and take down the organization that was responsible. After Forest got there he was saying I had to go now because no one would believe me and you would think I was crazy. Seems he got that part right."

Forest's mom handed me a plate of scrambled eggs

"Ajax we're just trying to figure out what happened. No one here is saying your crazy." (Forest)

"That's not true, Just ask Carson, and probably a few other of my 'brothers'."

"Ajax I really didn't mean it. I'm just unsure on what's happened." (Carson)

"Ya sure. OK so what else do you want to hear from me?"

"Why does Core think you are supposed to save the world?" (Farren)

"How would I know? As far as I know Core could be the creator of everything. I don't know what it is or what it wants from me."

"Well that's just a great answer." (Carson)

"Well what the FUCK do you from me?"

"Well you're the one who called upon him."

"So I should have just let that van kill me? Cause that's a great fucking idea."

"OK, that's enough. Carson just shut up." (Forest)

"So now what do you want to know? How are we going to prove what happened?"

"What about the van? Do you think we can find it?"

"No that's long gone by now. This group is not leaving any traces behind."

"Do you think there's anything left at our house?" (Joe)

"I incinerated everything in my path, but it's worth checking."

"OK well let's stop here. Ajax go rest upstairs. You boys go check our house. I'm sure there is going to be a lot of questions from authorities so let Seth and Farren do the talking."

All my brothers left for our house. I went back to Forest's room. About five minutes had passed when Forest came in.

"We need to talk." (Forest)
