Eternal Door

"They call him the Miracle Maker"

Your head, it hurts, but it should be ignored for now. Just run, don't look back, don't remember where you've been, just run. As long as you run in a straight line they can't get around you and cut you off. As long as you keep going you'll get away eventually, but that means you can't stop. You have to have the stronger determination, the will to live, something the one chasing does not feel. They only feel the will to kill, so your will is stronger than theirs, because you will survive at any cost.

Small paws pounded the ground and propelled the body onward causing puddles to splash noisily. She was already soaking so that hardly mattered now, but she might slip if she wasn't careful. Trying to listen in on the activity behind her she turned her ears slightly, but the rain and her own heavy breathing was drowning out all other noises out. Whatever, it would probably be best if she just kept running anyway. Maybe if she didn't stop she'd eventually find a better place than this, even if that meant running until she died in order to get there. Then again, who is she to say that whatever comes next is better than this? What if the after death is worse?

She glanced back behind her, breaking one of her so precious rules of survival. Never look back. She saw no movement behind her though besides the curly tail bobbing at the bottom of her vision, so she started to wonder if it was safe now. See, this is why she created this rule, because such thoughts only left one vulnerable. If she would've just kept running without ever wondering if they were still there, she would've escaped rather than be in the situation she is now. That situation being she is tackled from the side and sent hard into the concrete. She didn't see them change routes to get to her, a futile tactic if she had kept going, but she didn't.

"Got you now bitch." A heavy hand held her down, the voice was harsh and cold. "If you had just held still this would've been so much easier, now it's going to hurt twice as much." She wanted to protest but a hand came down and slapped her across the face. The claws had broke the skin so a trickle of blood was now being washed away by the rain.

"Damn it girl you run fast. Sometimes you really aren't worth all this shit we go through." Another figure appeared and loomed over the two of them. These two guys never let up. "So? You going to get to it or what?"

The one on top of her growled angrily and she couldn't do anything but whimper and wait for it to end as she was hit again. She recognized the hand now, she'd seen these guys a lot lately, always chasing after her. She was short and small so fighting back was hardly an option, but she could run. "I just want to rough her up a bit. You hear that bitch?! It's all your damn fault! Everything is your fault! So I'm just here to collect some overdue payment." The wolf on her growled, trying to look big with his barely developed body. The other appeared to be a fox with darker fur but she hardly cared now. She was unresponsive.

When she said nothing she was picked up and slammed into the wall. "Huh?! Am I not worthy of your words or something princess?! Newsflash, you're in the slums, you got no right to stand up to me!" Punch, kick, shove, it didn't matter what they did it all hurt the same really, just in different places. She really didn't understand what he was talking about anyway, how could she respond?

After a minute the fox stepped in for his turn. He was gentler, but that was the worst part, he was so disgustingly sweet. It sickened her to no end. "Calm down now no crying, it's a shame to see tears on such a pretty girl's face." She was slammed down into the ground, he was on top of her violating every privacy bubble she ever had. "In fact you're kind of cute..." He continued to whisper softly into he ear, her frantic breath on his face mortified that they were breathing the same air. He slowly reached across her delicate skin to grope her sides before resting his hands on her breasts. She tried to bite him but he swayed out of the way and kicked her in the teeth. "Then again you still got a lot of maturing to do, so it'd be no fun if I took you now. I'm done for today dude, you can vent your anger all you want."

"My pleasure..." The wolf cracked his knuckles and continued on with the earlier beating. "Your bitch mother should just pay her rent! Do you know what my rents have to go through cause of her lazy ass?! Huh?! Do you know what I have to go through?" He growled angrily and she cried out with every hit. It hurt, but it'd be over. One day she'd probably be raped, but then it would be over. One day she would die, and then it would really be over. All over.

"Know your place!" One more kick and he left spitting, disgusted that he even had to waste his time on her. It was funny really, they wanted to beat her up, and yet complained about it the entire way. They had no good reason, she knew that, they were just bullies at school. Every school had them, this was completely normal. She was poor, so they held dominance over her, that was how it worked. Which was fine...

She was a mess, her gums bleeding profusely but it would stop if she just applied pressure. They knew how to hit her just enough so that she wouldn't bleed but they never could help themselves to do it anyway, that taste of iron blood so preciously held was gratifying. She was small, but she was sturdy, she knew that. She could handle it, everything would be fine in the end. She didn't need help, she didn't deserve help.

Limping she found her way home and almost tripped on the stairs going up. The rain had cleaned her up a bit so at least she wasn't dripping blood everywhere, just water. In fact, it always rained around here, the sun hardly ever showed. The city was always being hit by this relentless downpour that came and went by the hour, which was fine. It would be over soon anyway, the rain would wash it all away anyway.

Going into the small apartment she lived in with her mother she made sure she had stopped whimpering and straightened up. The limp and her quivering lip from the cold were things she couldn't help so ignoring those she went straight in.

Immediately her mother noticed her with those strained and red eyes and went over to care for her. The aging stress had caused her was evident on her face as she began cleaning up her only daughter. "You got beaten up again..." No response, moments of silence passed. "You okay?" A slight nod, the small one knew she had to just stand up and take it. Her mother couldn't deal with things like this, she was always so busy, so she'd have to just take care of herself. She didn't want to be a burden.

"I'm fine mom really, I can take care of myself, but don't you need to get to work? Let me pack you something to eat..."

A warm hand stopped her before pulling her into a tight hug, tears streaming down those weathered cheeks. "I hate seeing you hurt. I wish you'd be more careful... Jessica." The smaller Shiba Inu's eyes looked up in dismay at her mother's hurt expression and desperately kept her own tears back.

"I'm fifteen, I can handle it, but you need to get to work. Don't worry about me okay?" They stayed in that position for a moment before finally separating.

"You're right..." Her mother sighed looking rather depressed and heartbroken, but got up and went about her business anyway. "I'll try to get home in time to see you off to school tomorrow honey, but I might..." She was going to continue and add in a disclaimer to her hopeful statement but instead just grinned and left it out. "Anyway I have to go, I'll see you later sweetie."

Jessica was kissed on the forehead before being left to stand alone in the small apartment. "Wait mom what about making you lun-" She was already gone, that or she pretended she didn't hear anything. She was always like that. Her mother tried to be kind but sometimes had to rush out of the pup's presence as fast as possible, something she didn't blame her for. Jessica was cursed, she knew that, she knew that far too well. Her mother only tried to love her, but no one could, she deserved no one's love.

Pushing the negative thoughts out of her mind the canine went about cleaning up the small space and trying to make everything neat and tidy. They hardly had any food, but she never complained. There was nothing to complain about, she deserved it, but her mother didn't. Her mother was the kindest person in the world, because she could put up with her pathetic excuse for a daughter.

Jessica had few pastime activities. She'd normally just read crumpled newspapers and magazines, or if she was really bored just read out of the school textbooks. The public school she went to was nice, ignoring some of the students there of course, and the teachers were happy that she put forth the effort to learn. She had no friends there, not necessarily because she was a freak or outcast or anything. It was because she was bullied that people stayed away or else they'd be hurt too. Then again some people thought she was depressing or too quiet, they thought those injuries were self inflicted in order to get attention and love. It was an interesting concept actually, if hurting yourself would gain you love, she would've done it a long time ago. The truth is, it doesn't, nothing good comes from it. In the end she is simply hurt, and that's it. It's not fun being hurt, so she never hurt herself, only others would hurt her.

Falling asleep would be easy tonight, that was an upside to all this, and she even had a decently warm shower before bed. When it was dark it was kind of scary and smelled bad, but from where she slept she could see the sky. Through the one window it was easy to see the murky clouds from the ground, and she always wondered what it would look like if the clouds went away. She didn't know much about how the sky worked, sun rising in the east and setting in the west or something like that, but she really wanted to know what the moon did. She always had wanted to know that if the clouds went away, if she could see the moon peering in through her window.

With these thoughts in mind and the bright image of a moon roaming beyond the glass, she closed her eyes and fell into deep slumber. She wanted to dream well tonight, but just as she had lost consciousness she had been careless and let other thoughts slip inside. It had become a nightmare, but that was fine, it'd go away soon. Even in the nightmare she knew the moon was out there somewhere.

The morning came as quickly as it went. Jessica's mother had been unable to make it on time, she probably had a lot of work to do so it wasn't like she could blame her. With that, Jessica had a bite to eat and headed out.

The walk to school was normal, no one tried to pick on her this early, and before she knew it school had started and the normal daily routine began. Truthfully, she rather liked school, most people left her in peace. The snobby girls never bothered her, it wasn't like she was their competition anyway. Her negative aura apparently created this void that sucked all happiness in so most others avoided her as well. It was funny how people created set opinions of people and then see those qualities even if they aren't actually there. Like she could be happy and laughing and they'd all still think she was creepy and depressing, because they simply are unable to change.

Where was this going? Oh, of course, she likes school because there are so many wonderful places to be alone. It wasn't like the slums at all, the place was decently taken care of and there was this beautifully green treasure called grass and trees all around. She loved nature, she loved the hidden mysteries of this world, they all drew her in. Why did birds ever land if they could just go on flying? Why did some trees change color in the fall while others didn't? It seemed so much more fun to change colors didn't it? She had watched a caterpillar eat a leaf, but the leaf tasted nasty to her so she wondered how it could like something like that. She wasn't dumb, she knew the answers to all these questions. Birds landed so they could find food and rest, but answers like that were so boring and suddenly the mystery was lost. So she kept the obvious answers away and dreamed up new answers to everything. For instance, birds land every now and then because they know if they stayed above the clouds forever, people would forget about them. It would be sad if the birds were forgotten wouldn't it?

The sky was cloudy like any other day, but the clouds were a light gray and it was a rather bright, sunny day even though the sun couldn't be seen. She would've stayed out longer but it was time for her next class.

Skipping the unimportant stuff, something interesting did happen this day. It was between classes, actually it was during lunch time. She forgot why but they all had an extended lunch that day so there was a lot of free time. She wandered the hallways with her head down like usual so others would just ignore her.

Unfortunately, since she wasn't looking forward, she bumped into someone and fell back onto her rump. "S-s-sorry!" She quickly got up to apologize... to a door. She had bumped into a door. A few nearby simply giggled before moving on. Slightly embarrassed Jessica looked around to see what was on the other side of the door and why it had been left open. It was the janitor's closet, and the guy had forgotten to close and lock the door on the way out which was a huge mistake. She'd reckon three kids had already passed by and stolen something from inside, no surprise there.

She would've kept going but something about the small room intrigued her and instead she stood at the doorway gazing inside. She would've stared inside forever if it weren't from the sudden body ramming into her. "Get out of the way!" She had heard it too late and ended up being pulled inside as someone shut the door behind her. She was about to yell back and was scared at her sudden vulnerability in this situation, but a soft paw covered her mouth literally big enough to envelope the entire muzzle. "Shh! Just give me a minute..." He spoke in a harsh whisper before putting his ear to the door, trying to hear something. He apparently didn't know his tail was slowly coiling around her abdomen.

On the other side running was audible. "Ryan! Where are you?!" He grunted in dismay and waited for them to pass. Jessica could swear she heard him mumble something along the lines of 'damn persistent crazy greedy bitch stalker slut whores...' Whoever he was describing she kind of got the gist of what was going on, and soon enough the people chasing him apparently passed.

He sighed in relief and let go of her realizing what he was doing. "Oh! Er... sorry about that. I didn't mean to pull you in like that I just needed to get away quickly..." He scratched the back of his head in shame. Jessica didn't respond leaving him in an awkward state. When she did respond it was her motioning towards his tail wrapping around her. "Oh dang it! Sorry that happens a lot too... god I'm such a klutz..." He quickly unraveled his tail and backed away blushing like crazy.

What happened next, even Jessica didn't expect, and she was the one doing it. She suddenly started laughing much to his surprise before he started laughing too. "Really though I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?"

She was trying to control her fit of laughter but couldn't . "No no it's... it's fine really. I just think it's-" Just burst out again but stopped and finally controlled herself.

"Heh well you're funny yourself you know that? What's your name anyway, I'm Ryan Den." He reached out his hand for a shake, his tail following along before he batted it away.

She took it and thought her arm would be ripped off by the firm shake. "I'm Jessica... Jessica Telkin."

"Well Jessica it's a pleasure to meet you! But I'm afraid I must be going." He opened the door and turned to leave but stopped for a moment to look her over, pausing as if in deep contemplation. "I'll see you later." He winked at her and with that he was gone.

She instantly reddened, getting a good idea as to why a girl might be stalking him. It had been hard to tell in the dark but he was handsomely stunning, or perhaps stunningly handsome, and the green fur... She only got a glimpse of it but it reminded her of so many things she loved. Like grass, like trees, like her hometown... Actually that was a bad memory.

Good job Jessica, way to ruin the moment. Moving the last thought out of her mind she headed out of the closet and closed the door making sure it locked behind her. Ryan was gone now so without much else to do the day continued on like normal. Nothing else special happened, that seemed to be the highlight of her day now. Maybe even the highlight of her week, only time could tell really.

* * *

It was an okay day. Things had been thrown at her, but she had managed to get away mostly unbeaten. However, she had been grazed along the cheek where dried blood now clung, slowly flaking off. It was funny how the only person in the world that seemed to notice her injuries was her mother, even teachers didn't notice her in the back of the classroom and just knew her as this person who tried hard and turned in assignments on time. She was a name with no face.

She didn't want to go inside her home now. She could see the light on, her mother had probably just recently gotten up and was about to head off to work. They would talk for a moment, she'd apologize for not being there in the morning, and she'd leave Jessica to be by herself for the night. With the injuries though, she didn't want to trouble her mother further, so she immediately darted off in the direction of the city. Her clothes were a bit dirty but she looked fine and in the city no one could tell you to leave. In the bright city the streets belonged to everyone, despite the claims of some.

She just sat in the park in the middle of it all, gazing at the magnificent display of lights and colors. All the advertisements and showings dazzled before her eyes in an attempt to gain her interest. Street performers were everywhere playing and acting their hearts out. Even though they were there to earn money, each and every one of them would look at her with gentle eyes and warmly accept her standing there. One even played a song for her knowing he'd get nothing in return, he was a nice man with a wonderful guitar, and he didn't judge.

It was beautiful really, she had forgotten why she didn't come here more often. She loved this city even though sometimes it hurt her. Not even the dark clouds seemed oppressing, rather it was like a canopy that protected everyone. She would watch it go dark, watch the natural light disappear and be replaced by artificial light. The artificial light was always prettier anyway. She knew never to approach bars and clubs, but they always had those neon lights that always looked so different from the rest. She loved those lights the best.

The air was cool with the occasional breeze but for the most part the air was still. People passed by a lot, mostly couples or people walking their dogs, and went about their evening pleasures. It was here in the park that she remembered why she didn't go to the city often. "Hey! What the hell are you doing?!" Jessica turned her head toward the voice that could only be ten feet away. It took a moment for her to tell the voice was directed at her. Shit... It was that wolf again, the one that always chased her. "I didn't think you'd have the guts to show around here again. This ain't a place for people like you!" Now that she thought about it, she didn't even know his name, and he apparently didn't know hers. So she could only use physical appearance to remember him by, one she was now taking the chance to memorize completely this time.

He was a decent height, working out some probably just to show off, and had an abnormally large fang on the right side that stuck going down out of his mouth. His fur was mostly blood red and white but had yellow markings in a few places on his body. His muzzle was white only on the bottom half and around the eyes. His tail swished arrogantly behind him, it was bushy and completely red.

"Hey I'm talking to you!" She was too busy studying him to remember she should be running, but it was too late as he was up close and had grabbed her by the arm already. "You got corn in your ear or something?" He grunted clearly displeased for reasons unbeknown to her.

"I'm just sitting here... leave me alone." She looked at the ground and completely ignored him. He probably wouldn't hit her right there and then since there were people around, but who knows what a guy like him would do.

Rather then get angrier he simply stared her down. "You're such a waste of my time... how come you never fight back?" He sounded harsh but there was something odd about the question. She didn't answer him, just looked quizzically at him as he plopped down next to her, still holding on tight. "Man I'm sick of this... Just so you know I think you'd be better off dead," he huffed.

"What...? If you're sick of this why bother me then?"

He glared hard into her eyes. "You irritate me, and I have other reasons as well." Justification, mankind's worst enemy. Everyone can justify their actions can't they? "I don't like you, but because you're still around I'm expected to jump through loops to get people to accept me. Damn it it's all your fault..." He sighed and leaned back.

She shook his hand off her arm and he didn't resist, nor did she run. "You don't really make any sense you know that..." Despite what she said, she still thought it over in her head. "So basically, you'd rather have nothing to do with me, but you don't got a choice? Wait then why are you sitting here all buddy buddy shouldn't you be like... I dunno..." She didn't want to say beating her up, it sounded weird coming off her tongue.

He snickered, finding this somehow amusing. "Hey you're smarter than you look, and here I thought you only knew how to run. And yes, I should be at least leaving, but I don't want to, I told you I'm sick of this. God why can't you people know your place?!" He suddenly turned on her again but made no violent actions. After a minute of silence and deadly atmospheres he spoke up again. "It isn't suppose to be like this. I'd be fine if you were at least a challenge, that'd be gratifying for a while, but because of one... that one freaking time! Every time I see you now I have to prove myself."

Jessica was starting to catch on but he wasn't being very helpful. "So you want to fight strong guys..." Not surprising, he was a hot blooded show off. "... but in order to be accepted you have to only go after me?" For a moment, she almost felt flattered, but then remembered that means being beaten to a pulp which was not so flattering. "That's stupid..." She mumbled on accident.

"DON'T CALL ME STUPID!" He flared up and grabbed her again, huffing and puffing, seething with rage. He slowly started calming down the second he made contact with her fur, which was nice, but the look that showed up in his eyes was much worse than any hit she could receive. "Yeah... that's exactly right." He pulled hard on her arm and began dragging her against her will. She tried to resist at first but it was futile really. She thought about calling out but suddenly his arm was around her with a claw at her throat. This was probably a practiced gesture on his part, and on the outside they looked like couple with his arm tightly around her. No one would give a second glance in order to see that she was truly scared.

"W-w-what do you want..." She stuttered, not sure why she felt so much more afraid than previous times.

"I'm going to do something I've wanted to do for a long time..." He spoke up close into her ear and continued to shove her along with his iron grip. Something had changed about his demeanor, it was completely terrifying to her. She didn't know where he was taking her.

Before she knew it, she was in an abandoned underground garage with no one else around. She was pushed inside and found herself in an open space with seemingly no exits. The door they came through had been locked behind him too, so without much light to work with escape seemed impossible. She was backed into a wall, his body close to hers. He was breathing heavily for some reason though there was no way he'd be tired, but then it all made sense...

"I love you Jessica... I love you and I hate you..." he growled getting closer. He was going to rape her, she was actually going to be raped! He looked absolutely positively insane. This was nothing like that sick, pervert fox, no this was completely different. He loved her, and he had been ridiculed for it, and in the end it only made him love her more. This had nothing to do with the fact that she was just some female, it was because she was Jessica that he was doing this, and that's what horrified her most.

His shirt was already gone and he began pressing into her, grinding against her body. She felt his body on hers, his affection for her with every breath. That twisted affection, but his fur felt good, a painful thought to think. He wasn't rough at all like he use to be, he was so gentle and smooth, but there was a force behind it. A force that said going against him would quickly change gentle to hard. She wouldn't listen to that force, she couldn't, so she resisted with all her might. She did not want to be taken, she didn't want it to end like this...

Wait, end? Why would it end? She had lost her will to live, that's why. If this really did happen the way they were both imagining it, she'd rather go and commit suicide the next spare second she had. That would be it, her pathetic life would be over. She'd be raped, and then it would be over. This curse would end. Yes, it was her fault, it was completely her fault this guy had to go through what he did. She deserved everything and it was only fair he got something in return. He was heating up, she didn't deserve this warmth, but he wanted it. It would be fine, everything would be fine, she'd do something good for the first time in her life followed up by another good deed. Her death would be the last thing she'd do for others.

He kissed her passionately and she slowly stopped struggling, but not because she enjoyed it, he could tell. "I'm sorry..." She whimpered softly as he broke the kiss.

This took him off guard greatly, there was so much meaning in her words. Did she just apologize for all she had done to him? Suddenly those things didn't seem like they were worth apologizing for. This wasn't right, but it was too late he decided. Way to late to save himself, so he would just have to lose himself.

Her shirt was torn and she was suddenly violated greatly, he was not so gentle anymore. He was angry for some reason now. Now she realized her stupidity. No this wasn't right, no this shouldn't be happening! She didn't care if she was selfish she didn't want this, this hurt to much. She didn't want to be raped, didn't want to die, didn't want to make her mom sad, didn't want to be hated, didn't want to not be missed, didn't want to never feel grass again, didn't want to never find out if the moon was outside her window, didn't want to... I don't want to never see him again... "Ryan..."

"Yes princess?" The wolf felt something collide into the side of his head and before he knew it he was sent tumbling across the floor. The wooden object used was placed on the ground and the attacker approached her carefully, giving her a hand to help her up. "Jeez didn't your mother ever tell you to not follow suspicious guys around?" The guy smiled, and she couldn't help but smile back on the verge of tears.

"Ryan..." He came to save her, she didn't know how or why but he came.

The wolf slowly got up trying to regain his balance after the blow he had gotten. "Wha... what the fuck?!" He turned and snarled angrily at the tiger. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE RYAN?!"

Ryan cringed and waved a hand in front of his nose. "Justin calm down, and I can smell your breath from here." He was just provoking him, something that was as funny as hell.

"I'll kill you!"

"We'll see about that..." His humorous tone disappeared.

The wolf charged and Ryan made sure Jessica was out of the way before the fight started. This wouldn't be easy unfortunately, but the blind rage might make things easier. He dodged and continued to taunt him. "Wow Justin I thought you liked to show off, but here you just kind of skipped that part and went straight to the sex. Finally figure out you suck at swooning women?" Another growl as the lupine bared his teeth.

"SHUT UP! How did you even find us here?!" He lunged but Ryan interlocked hands with him and they ended up pushing against each other in a battle of power.

"I followed you guys. Earlier I met Jessica and found her all injured and stuff so I wanted to know what was going on. Mind you it is nothing like stalking, that's your thing." At this point it seemed impossible to get any angrier, but the wolf managed.

"Don't think you can beat me!" The tiger was pushed back, the other's full weight being pushed into it.

"I wonder..." Ryan laughed and next thing Justin knew a green tail had blurred his vision, a favorite trick of his. Ryan ducked and tripped the wolf sending his force against him as he slammed straight into a concrete wall. "Ow that must've hurt, shouldn't have put your full weight into that."

Justin got up groggily, clearly effected. The damage done to his head was taking its toll and he was too angry to calm down and think. "I'll... I'll..."

"You'll what? Justin you're strong, just stupid, you won't beat me." Ryan had a smug grin as if he had already won, but for some reason that didn't seem to enrage the wolf this time.

"You think you're all that don't you..." Crap, Justin got hold of the small wooden beam he had picked up on the way there. "Die!" He swung and Ryan tried to block but ended up getting bashed in his right arm. Howling with pain the beating continued but he could only manage blocking with his arms. This wasn't going quite as planned.

Suddenly, Jessica couldn't stand by anymore and latched onto the wolf's back trying to choke him from behind. He instantly stopped what he was doing to go for her, which was a big mistake. Ryan took the opportunity and delivered a hard blow straight to the face. Justin howled but stopped moving and slowly began to fall back on her, so she got out of the way and let him go all the way. The red lupine collapsed, momentarily blacking out and bleeding from the nose.

Jessica was instantly up against one of the support beams crying because she was mortified at what had happened. Ryan approached cautiously but stopped and thought of a better way to go about this as she was still feeling quite vulnerable.

Taking his shirt off he handed it over with his eyes closed, waiting for her to take it. "Can't have you go around like that now can we... it's indecent." She blinked at him for a moment, took it, and put it on. "Is it on? Okay there much better." He moved over to her but before he had a say she threw herself into his arms shaking to the very core. "Hey now, come on it's alright... let's just go before he wakes up."

Carefully, he picked her up and held her close to him in hopes of consoling her. She shook and cried and sobbed and shook. She was a wreck, she had never felt such a horrible feeling in her life. She had actually considered dieing, she had almost accepted what was going on. She almost lost the most precious gift she had ever been given that one man and one man alone was allowed to have in her life. "Dummy... I can't stand when a girl cries." Ryan complained as they left the building through another entrance he had found while searching around the lot. When he had seen the door was locked behind Justin before he had frantically searched for another door in hopes of getting in there before anything bad happened. They were both lucky he had gotten there in time.

Going back out onto the streets he had to decide his first course of action, and she wouldn't stop burying her face into him searching desperately for the comfort and security she had lost. "I'll take you home just tell me where..." She shook her head. "No? You don't want to go home?" She nodded knowing her mom wouldn't be back until tomorrow anyway. "Well I could take you back to my place but..." She looked up at him with pleading eyes that begged him not to leave her. "But that could be a problem I don't know if my uncle..." He couldn't continue, it was like telling a firetruck to stop being so red, he'd have to stab his eyes out first before he could look at her and say it. "I get it I get it! Something bad happened, you want me with you. Just..." He sighed finding it useless. With that he went ahead and began his trek home. "It'll get better okay? I promise."

With that she buried her head into his chest again, that warm, milky chest. She didn't care what was going on outside her own little world, didn't care about all the stares they'd get, didn't care about the complications that would be brought up, she just wanted to stay like this. She wanted to listen to his heartbeat, one strong thump at a time. She weakly stroked her hands through his chest feeling every strand of hair. She was so small in his arms, so very light and delicate. She probably barely reached his chest standing up, and who knows if she'd ever get any taller. That was fine, she could accept anything right here in his chest.

Right here, right now, he was all that was on her mind.
