The Final Stand part 1
Once again the aparoids were in full retreat only this time they had nowhere to hide thanks to the general revealing the location of their homeworld before his final moments and their was no time to lose. The combined armies of the lylat alliance and the mobian grand army assembled on the outer rims of the designated sector of the galaxy, Fang lead the mobians with his division of troops that became known as the dragon legion, Tamati was second in command and all around the system their people prayed for their safe return and to be victorious over the monstrous aparoids as Fang appeared on the screen of all the ships.
"Soldiers of the galaxy! during the months of the war many of our friends and families were taken by the swarm as our homes were burned to ashes well now is the time! THE TIME FOR RETRIBUTION!!! *soldiers cheer* ON THIS DAY WE FIGHT AS ONE!! AND UNTIL EVERY LAST ONE OF THE APAROIDS IS SLAIN! UNTIL THEIR CORPSES ROT BENEATH OUR FEET!!! WE SHALL NEVER STOP HUNTING THEM!!!! FOR GLORYYYY!!!!"
The spirits of the armies were set ablaze as the armies roared thundering the emptiness of space as the fleet took off with the people of the galaxy waving goodbye to their loved ones and among them were Fara, Ammy and Krystal who looked onto their mates as the ships vanished from sight.
After one day of flying through space the ships neared their destination. Fang stood their on the bridge to pass the time while Tamati helped pilot the ship with Fox who seemed worried knowing that Krystal and his unborn children were left behind and feared the worst as he brought out a picture of them together at the beach.
"*sighs* Krystal....."
"You'll see her again Fox. Promise."
Tamati gave him a pat on the shoulder that brought a smirk to his face that quickly faded away as he looked at the photo again when suddenly the ship was struck on its side as the alarm blared.
"Sir! hostiles coming in hot!!!"
"Radar shows a whole swarm coming at us!!!"
"We're here-launch fighters! and tell the other ships to provide cover for our troops!!"
"FIGHTERS AWAY!!"
Ships from every part of the fleet poured out to fight the oncoming swarm as the planet came into view, Fox lead the fighters while the main flagships blasted away at the aparoids, providing some cover for the drop ships that landed with Fang and Tamati leading the charge on seperate drop zones as more aparoids came into view snarling and looking hungry.
"ONWARD HEROES!!!"
Guns began blazing as both armies colided and blood began to stain the field, aparoid and soldier alike, later on in the battle tanks and flame squadrons were sent in to finish the job as a captain ordered the troops to fall back while Fang helped carry off the wounded as the remainder of the swarm ran in fear to what looked like a giant hive far off in the horizon.
The next day as the sun rose over the newly established bunker the ground was litered with corpses of flesh and steel as soldiers began salvaging what weapons they could while looking for a loved one or friend they had lost, many tears were shed that day as Fang saw the face of his soldiers filled with sorrow as they buried their own.
"Liutenant! status report."
"no sign of the aparoids here sir, looks like they've retreated for now."
"Good, have our men move up to the nest sight. we're gonna take that objective and advance toward the main hive!"
"Yes sir and I just got news from HQ. The cornerian elite have sucessfully landed and are sending in reinforcements."
"What do we have?"
"Two fire squadrons and Captain Tamati; Leader of Black Ops."
"Good have the men fed and-!!"
The ground suddenly began to rumble as some supply crates fell off each other while the soldiers just stood there without a clue as to what was going on.
"Liutenant! call the siege line! tell them not to advance until I give the order!"
"But sir the pilots are all here in the camp."
"Then what's.....oh my god......"
A scout in a lookout tower grabbed his binoculars and a chill overtook him as he leaned over the railing yelling to the entire campsite.
"APAROOIDS!!!!"
"Fall back...Fall back!-FALL BAAACK!!!!"
The troops ran as fast as they could as the aparoids came swarming in over the camp, many of the soldiers were killed as they were snagged by the legs, as the bunker gates closed Fang grabbed the nearest assault rifle and joined his troops as they began firing upon the swarm.
"I WANT THOSE REINFORCEMENTS!! I WANT THEM NOW!! NOW!!!!"
