A plum colored Shepherd, with pure white points, sat at her favorite spot in her favorite pub. Tonight she wore a turquoise colored corset, trimmed with black lace, and a deep turquoise skirt to match. Her paws were bare and one ankle was decorated with several silver bands that chimed when she moved that paw. Her emerald eyes watched the bard dance and sing his tales of a brave knight that slew the dragon that had been terrorizing the village. You know, the typical songs a bard who never left the village he was born in sang. It was amusing to her though and she enjoyed his antics and enthusiasm.

The smoke from her herb cigarette drifted to the ceiling to join the stale smoke from the other patrons of the pub. She much preferred her choice to what they were smoking though. It had a dirt smell compared to her light flowery scent. Many patrons would comment on the "dainty" smell, but were knocked flat on the floor from a single puff. That amused her the most.

She mused about the large reptilian who had bragged about his herb being superior, then almost fainted when he gave hers a go. She chuckled to herself from the memory, taking another drag from her smoldering joint.

Despite there being several patrons enjoying the drink and smoke of the pub, there weren't many who seemed interested in enjoying the flesh that was also available to partake in. Another girl had been patiently waiting, wandering and flirting, but they brushed her away. This was a very odd crowd tonight. Something seemed amiss.

Kamilla tried not to worry about it and got up from her seat after finishing the last of the meade that was in her mug. "I'm heading out, Jarvis." She called to the bulldog, the pub owner, who was watching over the crowded and ominously silent room. "Maybe I will have better luck in the fresh air."

The dog nodded to her, then returned to watching the room, a stern look on his face and strong arms crossed over his thick chest, that was covered by a thick gray tunic. He knew something was wrong as well.

As Kamilla stepped through the threshold, out into the cool night, her fur stood on end. The air outside was even more menacing. There was no wind, not even the slightest breeze coming from the loch and the full moon was hidden by dark clouds. The slightest bit of its rays were able to pass through, giving her some light to see by, but not much. The lanterns along the street were partly snuffed out, leaving only small patches of light to guide the night patrons.

She took a hard drag from her cigarette, hoping it would help with her unease, but despite feeling so wonderfully euphoric it was still there.

Slowly, she padded along the stone road, keeping her ears alert to any sounds.

That was the strangest thing. Even with there being several people out, there was very little sound. Usually you could hear an owl and the insects calling. Not tonight. Everything was silent.

A shiver raced up her spine as she began to worry. Maybe I should just head in, she thought to herself, having only made it a few buildings away from the pub.

A lantern flickered next to her, though she felt no breeze. Not even the slightest.

The canine had made up her mind. She was heading home. This was too odd for her.

Just as she turned, she stopped, as if frozen in her tracks. Her eyes widened as a dark figure clopped down the stone path. He was concealed by a long, dark cloak, that didn't move even the slightest as he walked towards her.

Her heart pounded in her chest, eyes widened as he came closer and stopped right in front of her. His scent enveloped her, a warm, rich scent that reminded her of the night during Autumn.

"Now here's a tasty smelling treat," he said in a voice so deep, she could feel it in her bones. A gloved hand reached up to her face, tilting her maw to the side and exposing her jugular.

Her breath hitched, fear of the unknown balled up in her throat, though she could not move nor speak. She only stared at his dark face, shadowed by his cowl. The hint of swirling blue eyes glinting in the darkness under the cowl.
