#4 of The Haunted Mansion

Once a year, a mansion would appear within the thickets of a faraway forest. No one knows where it came from or what sorcery cursed this magnificent building to come and go. Many theories were created, including a powerful witch casting a spell on the master and his home. Or the master had died and took his heritage to the grave until the specific week of the year when he took his last breath. One thing that is for certain is the mansion appears upon the same hill on the week where society celebrates their cherished event of the Fall; Halloween. So it was a given that this mansion had something to do with spooks and treats - if only anyone lived to tell the tale. The building disappears at daybreak, reappearing with a flash of thunder once the sun dies. And drowns the forest in nights of endless nightmares.

Many heard of this mansion. Many dared to brave the trials. None returned. Ever since, many too curious, brave or foolish would ignore the ever growing warnings and venture to know its secrets. Just what is this mansion hiding? What is its purpose in showing up on Halloween? What happened to the previous victims?

These few adventurers have come to find out...

"Peri! Zena!"

Frana's expression crinkled with rising desperation. She ran up the nearest mound, even resorted to climbing a tree to get a better look. It surprised her how much they had wandered deep in the graveyard. The gate was nowhere in sight. Nothing but worn trees and gravestones of the dead as far as she could see. It didn't seem right to her. If anything happened to them, it would all be her fault. Her hands throbbed, the pain reverberating to her soul. She had slammed her fists on a tombstone, cursing her own curiosity. The figure she saw did exist, but as she made way for it, she did hear Perrodite screaming for her to wait. She turned around to wait for them, but they disappeared on her. Even when Frana ran back in that direction, she couldn't recover their shadows. That was when she went after the figure in the distance, hoping to also escape the fog and find them.

It was a trap. The figure she saw was a horse-person, but she looked... different. Instead of the usual colourful fur she expected from those species, the horse she met had nearly her fur rotted and fallen off. Her body covered in white slimy maggots, some even crawling in and out of her... areas. Worse, it looked like she was so full of them her belly appeared pregnant. The horse walked at a strange manner, like she had grown weary. When she turned to Frana, she cut a blissful expression. Her eyes lost colour, but glowed a pale yellow, and she immediately reached for Frana. She spoke something, but it was senseless moaning.

Frana immediately screamed and ran from her. As far as she could. Even through several fogs if she had to, coming out in places she didn't expect. She had quickly pieced that somehow the fog was teleporting them around the graveyard. If such were the case, then both Peri and Zena were in trouble.

Frana frowned, looking down at more of those wandering... bodies. Like the horse she met earlier. What to call them? Zombies? They did not appear to be dead. Just... not completely themselves anymore. Perhaps they were the ghouls she heard about. Wandering victims of any curse of the Master, out to seek any potential victims. Like small groups of insects clumped together, Frana could see them everywhere. They were so deep in the graveyard, yet when she first entered, none of them could be seen. And once they stepped inside the fog...

It was a clever trap. Frana sucked a lungful of air. "Peri!"

A low moan grabbed her attention from below. A male ghoul clawing at the trunk. Frana squeaked and catapulted herself off, before making way to another vacant mound she could scout from. The fog. She had to avoid them. Left and right, the moanful grunts of these... creatures swarmed. She brushed by most of them, their grappling so slow she could run past them twice before they would grab her. They were almost like zombies at least. More convincing than any costume or act she had seen in previous parties of this time of year. None of the animal people were spared from whatever turned them so. Their complexions paled and turning a greyish hue of their former self. Several of their features were common. The yellow eyes and the large white maggots that clung and fall from their bodies.

Frana stood atop the mound to catch her breath. They were still chasing her, even if they could only walk and stagger. She whimpered when several of them stopped and quivered. Their vents parted, letting loose a slimy stream of white that splattered on the ground, coming alive and wriggling. The maggots separated from one another and looked about their new world. As for the males, their phalluses throbbed, and spurts of the same coloured seed shot in the air, along with the maggots that had invaded them. If one were to look closely, there were also smaller maggots, tiny grub-like parasites that could only be given birth recently.

She understood what might have happened to them. Then a scene flashed in her mind, her heart sinking at the thought of Peri and Zena being among them. A brief look around but she saw none of them from her mound. But she caught a hoard of ghouls sensing her and making their way to claim her. Nowhere to run now.

Frana shifted her legs together and clutched her spelltome. A spell. She needed a spell. But all she could recall at that point were spells that could kill them. And if she muttered even a single incantation wrong, it could backfire on her. Even with her life on the line, how could she bring herself to kill them? They looked alive. Behind those lust-driven eyes, she could see their souls. Pleading. Begging. Closer and closer they approached, already surrounding the mound and making their way up. The scent of their combined hormones grew potent in her nose. One that was foul at first, but then she couldn't ignore wanting to smell more of it. Their groans were louder, almost like screams around her.

Hands trembling, she pulled the tome from her and flipped through the pages. Maybe a signal flare spell? No, that would attract more. No time. She had to at least do something! Just as she fanned the pages to the offense section, she saw a cloud of white loomed beside her. The fog, dense as cotton but cold as ice. Feeling her chest relax, Frana closed the book and dashed towards it. She had to take her chances with it, even if it would take her somewhere more dangerous. Holding her breath, she plunged into the mist, and rested her life on fate.

The moaning faded in the distance to nothing. It was suddenly quiet once again. She was still not out of the fog, her world only but the small patch of ground which she could see below her. Only a few seconds passed, but it felt like she was in here for a minute now. She walked in a straight line for a moment longer, and wondered if she was transported to a courtyard of sorts. It was the first time she didn't feel any slope against her pawpads.

A scream cut across the air. Frana whipped her head towards it. It didn't sound like it belonged to either Peri or Zena. The female screamed again, louder as Frana jogged towards it. "Help me!" The fog dissipated all of a sudden, and a roar burst her ears. Frana recoiled and cupped them. It ended as soon as she did. Above the ringing, the woman screamed again. Longer. Desperate. "H-Heeeeelp!"

She looked around. The mansion. It was much closer that she could almost see the details of its grand walls. As she had feared, there was no visible back entrance. And yet, towards the scream, there was an aged stone pavement that was arranged in brick-like patterns. Time had not favoured it, as stones came loose and grass grew in between. Along the pathway, stood several broken statues. It was impossible to make out what they were anymore. But they once stood on guard, on the sides of this path that lead to some steps beyond Frana's sight.

"Give in," spoke a growling voice, "and take it all!" His last word merged with another roar, the woman screaming yet again with him. Frana rushed to hide behind a statue, and crawled to the next one forward. The subtle noises in between her pleading cries grew apparent. Wet slapping, as well as the heavy grunts that even froze up Frana's heart. The familiar groaning appeared every now and then. Ghouls. Or so she thought they sounded like groaning. It also sounded like they were struggling with something. Sharp and quick moans.

She eventually made it, and with only one eye out, peered down at the courtyard. One massive beast caught her attention immediately. Scales of obsidian camouflaged him with the shadows, with spike protrusions shredding the air where he moved. His eyes blackened, made known only by the faint yellow outline of his pupils that glowed in the night. Green streaks scattered about his frame, scars that ooze glowing green blood. And his fangs, bloodied. Like he had claimed a recent kill. And now, he would claim a victim's womb. Lying below him was what looked to be a canine girl. Bridging between the two was a knotted member of this beast, already fully sunk into her and overflowing its virile content from her swollen womb.

"That's it..." the dragon said with a slight rasp in his voice, but all the more sinister. "Let it all in. No point in resisting."

The dog girl stuttered like she was caught mid-scream. Her eyes rolled back, and had been for quite a while. Mouth agaped and drooling, trying to pick up the shattered remains of her words. Her fingers had raked trenches below her, from where she tried to yank herself away it seemed. Something moved inside the growing puddle of cum beneath her. Frana cupped her mouth. Maggots. The dragon crooned, and the girl whimpered. More cum flooded out as much as he pushed in, carrying more and more maggots with it. Then both of them stilled. While the dragon panted, the girl he mated didn't seem to be breathing at all. As if still trying to absorb the shock of having been bred.

Then Frana looked at the bodies left lying around them. Moaning and groaning came with every breath they took. Their complexions were not as sullied as the other ghouls. Maybe they could still be saved. Or not. One of the females arched with a sudden moan. Something wormed out of her vent, painted white with heavy use, and splattered on the pool with the others. Judging from the size, it looked like they were implanted with many of these insects. One of the victims started to love their limbs. Jerking every now and then. Another cat girl. She took harder and sharper breaths, her back straightening further and further. The look on her face was that of horror. Her eyes trembled as she seemed to approaching to some sort of... end. Like something was about to burst out of her. With a sudden moan, she kicked the ground and rolled to her back. Maggots came flying out of her vent, her tailhole, and even out of her breasts. Then she screamed, and clenched her teeth hard. Her body flailed its limbs like she was having a seizure, wave after wave of jolts throwing her body in a maddening frenzy. Until one of them broke her into a sudden blissful scream, her fluids gushing out with more of these maggots. She twitched. Then suddenly fell limp. Only briefly. Her next sound burned a haunting memory in the back of Fraya's mind.

The groan of a ghoul. She slowly rolled to her feet, and joined the others in wandering about the courtyard. Another growl snapped her attention, the dragon finally freeing his recent victim from his members. Both of them almost like that of a canine, still pulsing with life - literally. As well as his seed, maggots wriggled in and out of his shaft, and bulged here and there within his girth. "Yes, feel them move. Feel them breed. They will not hurt you, but they will live in and control you. Soon you will join your friends. Embrace what little moments you have left before they crawl into your head." The girl uttered a whimpering cry, her belly convulsing when she pushed as hard as she could. Pile upon pile of maggots fell out of her with thick globs of tainted seed. No matter how much she tried, her belly wouldn't shrink any further. In fact, it expanded again. And she pushed once again, her energy depleting with each attempt. Until she couldn't continue and laid there, allowing the maggots to turn her. The dragon unfurled his wings and trumpeted his victory to the moon.

Frana pulled back and rested her back against the statue. Her bosom hurt, and no amount of breathing could settle her heart. That dragon. He turned everyone into his cum-infested ghouls. But now what? Her hands quivered from what she witnessed. They wouldn't move. She knew why already. What could she do? The sight of the dragon was enough for her to become a sitting prey for him. She needed to run, but where to? The fog. There was one just a short run ahead of her. She needed to find Peri and Zena. Yes, she thought. She needed their help. Frana slowly got to her feet, stopping when she heard the distant growl behind her. And the ghouls chanted with their broken voices.

Then she broke to a run. Nothing new happened behind her. She didn't dare to look, concentrating only on her steps. Back into the fog. She only needed to go back. That way, maybe she would finally bump int-

The fog suddenly glowed blue. Then spread left and right, like flames. A low hum of the wind stopped her, and she backed away. Something shifted inside the fog. Fine lines danced about inside it, but she couldn't make out what it was. Frana clutched hard on her spell tome. Harder still once she saw a shadow in the centre of the fog, running towards her, huffing. Then it fell to one knee. The fog faded once again, dashing her hope of escape. But she didn't need it anymore once she saw who it was before her. A green scaled lizard girl, wearing Frana's clothing.

"P-Peri!" She ran up to her as fast as she could. She spread her arms, about to hug her. Until she felt a grip around her throat, Perrodite having stood up suddenly and putting her at arms-length from her. Frana choked, grabbing at her hardened arm. She tried to speak, but nothing comprehensible came out.

"You are far too curious for your own good, kitty," Perrodite said, smiling. She looked right into Frana's eyes, and Frana immediately realised who this was. This wasn't Perrodite. But someone else possessing her body. Her usual golden eyes were lit with amethyst flames of magic. Like a prison over the original owner.

The world spun upwards, and Frana's head landed against the dirt, sliding back a few feet. She immediately got up. The shock rippled through her body, vibrating her bones in discomfort. Frana clenched her teeth and hissed, placing a hand over where it hurt. Perrodite looked down at her, both her hands coating in the same flames. Magic. And beside her, floating close above her like some lover, was a ghost of a lizard male. Could he have fallen for Perrodite and controlled her? Then more of these ghosts emerged from the glowing fog, groaning and reaching towards Frana, slowly inching forward.

Frana inched back. Then cupped her mouth from a scream. A shadow swallowed over her from behind, followed by a shudder of the ground after a heavy landing. She turned around, eyes widened, and stared back at the dragon's eyes.

"And look who had fallen off my plate!" His pupils narrowed to her, Frana almost seeing her fearful reflection. Then they flickered past her, and he snapped a growl. The ghosts reacted with surprise and backed off. "You... away with you! This one is mine."

Perrodite - or whatever possessed her - chuckled, a burning finger brought to her chin as she gazed down on Frana. "Is that so, Haxur? Did you not know the phrase 'finders keepers'? If only you will stop playing with your food."

It was the dragon's turn to snicker. Before Frana could react, he placed a scarred forepaw over her, putting her dangerously close to his phalluses. Some maggots found and crawled on her feet, and she immediately pulled them away. The air thickened in his musk, potent and burning to her nose, but not overpowering. She cupped her nose and sucked breaths through her mouth instead. "And what will you do if I even snatch one from your pathetic ghostly hands? No body is immune to my maggots. I can still defeat you, and breed your claim just as easily."

Perrodite grunted, her demeanour dropping to a fierce look. The ghost beside her placed an arm protectively in front of her.

Frana swallowed, her lips quivering as she mumbled to herself. Her claw flashed out of her fingertip as she scratched on the ground, clawing ridges into the pavement.

"So now that you have your body, what are you going to do now?" The dragon placed his claw on Frana's shoulder and rolled her onto her back. He stepped forward before she could land, and Frana eyed at his twin rods, nearing between her legs as he pulled her dress up. He flicked his claw, and snapped her underwear. Frana shuffled back, until her arms bumped against his front legs. "I will do to her what I had done to the others, including those who also claimed their bodies." She reached, but his thrust was faster. And before she could cup her vent, she felt his members resting against them. Something wriggled and teased her, and she started to whimper. "Besides, you know the Master won't let you escape with a pure body." The more the maggots lathered and pushed into her, the more she wanted to curl.

Frana squeezed her eyes shut. Her life already at the gates, dictated by the pair of cruel tyrants, their presence impossible to ignore on her orifices.

Perrodite laughed. "Coming from the one who sold his soul to the Master. Unlike you, we made a deal, and I intend to honour that for my freedom."

Frana squealed, biting the bottom of her lip when the dragon forced himself forward and sunk his hot shafts inside her. He then stayed still, maggots wriggling and escaping from the crevices of his entrance. Her walls squeezed in response, and his pre-filled shaft squirted right into her depths. "Like I care what agreement you made. Now get lost! This one is mine. Unless you care to join us?" He pulled back before his knots could touch Frana, then thrusted back into her, slowly. Frana clutched on his forelegs that pinned her close. The pair of bulky arms were like pillars unyielding to her tugs. She arched her back, eyes shooting wide, as her contact only spurred him to rut her harder. The knots slapped against her opening again and again, her sensitive innards forced apart with each entry. Frana maintained herself, amidst the flurry of heat coursing through her bones, threatening to snap her before he could with his maggots. She looked up to Perrodite, who looked over her towards the dragon, uncaring of who was underneath him. Frana wanted to call out to her, but every time she tried, the dragon's shaft rubbed over her sensitive spots and she broke into a moan instead.

"You sicken me." Perrodite brought her hands together. With a hollow screech and a sound of surging thunder, the flames in her hand expanded. And shot itself forward. The dragon met it with a roar, a cone of green flames enveloping with Perrodite's and walling one another off from going any further.

All the while, he didn't let up and continued to mate Frana. She could feel the wriggling inside her sex, the maggots finding and sticking to her pleasure spots, even as the member brushed over them. Frana clung harder on the arms, a long whimper escaping between her fangs as she tried to hold off from a moan. "P-Peri... h-help..." The members buried and pressed hard against her flesh. She yelped, trying to push him away with her feet.

"You have been in our way since Master brought you in," Perrodite roared. "These victims were ours to claim. And now that I have one of my own, the last thing I will let you do is stand in my way to Master!" The ghouls reacted, their moans almost mob-like, and they stumbled forward. Past the dragon and towards her.

"You want them back?" The dragon spread his wings open. "Then take them!" He let out another roar. It reverberated in Frana's bones that she recoiled.

Perrodite hissed, stepping back and clenching her fists. Despite what looked like an army of ghosts behind her, she was the only one that could fight against these minions. Every one of them, except for the lizard one, backed off. And with a frustrated growl, Perrodite swung her arms forward, and clapped them together. An arc of her flames burst from the impact, fanned out like a pair of wings and soared to the approaching ghouls.

Frana turned away when fire met ghouls with a strong burst of wind. The dragon laid down on top of her, pressing his warmth against her belly, and rested his arms gently on either of hers - fully pinning her in his weight. "Now... where were we?" His rump lifted, and speared into her just as fast as she noticed. He hilted faster and faster, glaring down at Frana as she struggled. All she could move was her head and shoulders, swaying left and right. He grinned at her, ignoring the fighting going on as if the outcome was pre-determined. More hot maggots oozed and splattered in her tunnels every time he withdrew, and he pushed them deeper with each thrust. "No point resisting, cat. Fate has brought you between a dragon and a ghost. Defy as much as you want. You will soon love it." His quickened pace allowed her little time to recover from the previous. The burning sensation rose gradually in her, higher and higher. No less than a minute passed when it brushed by the threshold that forced Frana's walls to clench, wrapping and folding hard over his girth. She clenched her teeth again, pushing back her cries.

His throat boomed with a deep chuckle. "I can feel how wet you have become. Close your eyes, morsel," he adjusted one of his front legs, until a paw rested over Frana's eyes and drowned her in complete darkness, "and listen to the music." She heard it. No matter how she wanted to ignore it, the squelching and sloshing echoed in her soul. Frana's cheeks burned. His next thrust struck her G-spot, the air forced out of her lungs in a lustful moan. "Good girl." Like a coded command, she lost herself in thrusting against him, syncing with his motions, and letting him plague her inner depths with his 'children'. He kept his paw over her eyes, but she was starting to feel like they weren't there. Her world around her became nothing but total darkness. No light. Nothing to guide her. The fighting had muffled into near silence, her mind focused on the sounds of his grunts and the slime noises of his entry, lubricated in her fluids. The smell in the air was dense in his musk, inescapable and served to heighten her bliss. Very breath was a rush of soothing warmth, that then collected in her nethers, keeping her tender for more. Her mind wandered, but she couldn't grasp on anything else. And the dragon just yanked her back into the pit with him. Time and time again his hilts struck where would excite her the most. Her walls swelled with growing need, the desire to mate growing and overwhelming all other thoughts. All except one.

"P-Peri..." she forced in between moans. His rods penetrated deeper. Harder and faster. His knots slamming against her entrances, every strike forcing them wider and wider. The dragon's growls rose. Frana's heart raced, her fear entangling with the lust. His rancid breath blasted over her neck, and she thrashed her head, trying to escape this darkness.

Then a roar break out. His members forced forward, knot pulsing, shaft swelling. And with a loud pop, Frana threw her head back, as far as she could, and screamed. "PERIIII!"

The slanted surface kissed against her cervical opening, and pried her open with each torrent of dragon cum that flooded her womb. Almost instantly, maggots wriggled on her stretched and needy walls. Hundreds of them! Her darkened world flashed white with each ejaculation, increasing in volume and unrelenting in inflating her with his product. She lulled her tongue out in the next spurt. Then a moanful grunt with the next, more forceful each time. The crawling sensations in her womb and gut was intense. There was so much of them. Immediately her body clenched, wanting to push them out. But his knots were steady plugs, not releasing her until her body took every last cum and maggot. The pressure on her belly increased, reminding her he was still lying on top of her.

Before it could get any bigger, the dragon suddenly yanked his knots out and rested both members on her exposed belly. She shivered, the extra load travelling up the shaft against her skin, and squirting underneath her dress. Maggot-filled seed splashed against her chest, her breasts, neck, and even through her dress and clung onto her mouth. She quickly spat the acrid substance, severing the sticky string until it remained on her chin. A quiet whimper escaped when something wriggled over one of her nipples, then the other. The sensation was arousing, as the maggots wriggled into her mammaries and crawled about her tight ducts, quickly followed by their breeding partners. She couldn't do anything to stop them, not with him taking away even her ability to flail in ecstasy.

"There, that wasn't so bad now was it?" The dragon removed his paw but kept her arm pinned.

Frana tensed, feeling the maggots sticking to her tender spots. Her nerves tingled, feeling the strange chemicals these maggots were flooding into her walls. Within her womb, gut and her breasts. Then she squealed again. The sensation suddenly skyrocketed, threatening another orgasm from her. Her other senses, the pain from his ravaging, and his touch against her belly. They all dissipated. And instead, all she could feel was arousal. Like her whole body had become her G-spots. Fraya screamed, fighting off those feelings when she squeezed, and forced the maggots out of her. Some of then escaped, to some relief. But she felt incomplete in emptying them. Taking a deep breath, and a brief pause, she tried again. Her body shook, her nerves hitting her harder this time. More maggots fell out, but her belly continued to expand. Her breasts flared, growing slightly. They were already breeding inside her!

"Uh uh uh," the dragon reared his members, and bucked. Frana's vision blanked again, unable to hear her own howls. She pushed again, but a pair of rods blocked her holes. "Do not defy my gift. Embrace it." Then he rutted her again, just as fast as before.

Frana dropped her head against the ground, eyes rolled back. Her claw markings on the ground glowed, a faint light as she looked to Peri. Her possessed friend had slumped to one knee, panting. Many ghouls had fallen around her, but more of them regrouped and surrounded her. She was about to join them. Frana was about to join them.

"Since you have been a good girl, why not let me reward you?" The dragon's grip around her tightened, his wings cocooned her, sealing her in his grip and completely immobilising her. His free claw wrapped the back of her head and pulled her to face his foul grin. Cheek to cheek. Had he not been still hilting her, she would have collapsed from it. "I am going to fuck you. I am going to breed you. I am going to rape you. Hard! Even if my maggots have burrowed to your brain, even if you have long become a ghoul, I am going to mate you again and again. Your last moments will be of me seeding you for eternity, bound to me with no escape. I will burn them into what's left of your mind, that I will haunt your tormented soul that's trapped inside your ghoul body!" Frana screamed, his second load forcing its way into her. Not a second passed when he clamped his maw over hers and pushed his tongue past her lips. The last she saw was his kiss, before his free paw rubbed over her eyes once again, and bound her in total darkness.

No, something else was in it with her. A familiar face. Glowing yellow slit eyes. A grin of fangs. It was this dragon. Her heart raced, and she cried out again. She couldn't hear her voice. Something warm was dancing around her tongue, something she couldn't escape from. She yanked her head left and right. The image was still there, following her wherever she went. Then it glowed, in a pulsing rhythm like a heartbeat. At the same time, her belly distended further and another load of warm maggots entered her. Then another. And another. And another. There seemed to be no end of them. It was driving her insane. She tried to scream again, louder this time. Again, heard nothing. Her tunnels had been stretched so much that she could feel it. The maggots attempting to dig and burrow into her walls. Thanks to their chemicals, there was no pain. Only a new form of bliss and further lubricated his rods to pump more into her. She had quickly lost track of it all. Even lost track of time. All she could see was this dragon accompanying her in this darkness, his face scarring onto her mind as he slowly turn her into a ghoul. No one to see her. No one to hear her. No one to help her.

Like the ground beneath her had turned to water, she allowed the dragon to drag her deeper into the depths of her mind. Her new prison with this beast, filling her mind with eternal bliss and nightma-

"Oh alright..."

Her world flashed alight like a torch. The tightness all around her loosened suddenly, and Frana reawaken, only to find her cheek striking the ground. Her ears rung, another roar breaking the air like a crack of thunder. Almost just as loud this time that Frana winced. She kneed into her distended belly on accident. Instead of a bruising pain, it returned as the familiar need. Frana placed both hands on her belly and squeezed, groaning aloud as she relaxed her sphincters once more. Lumps of maggots and seed gushed out of her. Even if her energy had drained to the point that her arms ached, she continued to squeeze, not letting the maggots expand her further. Then pushed once again.

Orange flames whisked by above her, and clashed with the green flames of the dragon. Frana turned to him, in time to notice blackened vines bursting out from a glowing spell circle beneath him and bound his limbs. He tore through the first few, but they quickly overwhelm him, pinning all his limbs and muzzling his snout. Thicker vines burst out from the very rim of the circle and enveloped over his frame, until his legs caved in and he collapsed to the ground.

"Now sit there and think about what you've done," spoke a familiar voice. Frana turned around, and looked into Zenatha's eyes. The latter placed her hand on her hip, her other hand holding up a smaller spellcircle of an identical design. Frana reached her hand to Zenatha, grunting each time a maggot slid over her walls. Zenatha just shook her head. "Oh come now, you expect me to help you with them? Especially since you did this on your own?" She tapped her tail on Frana's claw markings. A crude drawing of a warding spell, still glowing to its continuing effect.

"What?" The dragon hissed between his fangs. "How did-?"

Another explosion behind Frana, fanning out a gale, as the one who caused it cackled. Frana concentrated and pushed out another load of maggots, before turning to face Perrodite. "Fool! You should have run when you had the chance." The swarm of ghosts reappeared, floating over the corpses of the fallen ghouls. Some of them even reawaken the imprisoned souls inside the bodies, and faced the two.

"Umm... you are welcome?" Zenatha said with a smile.

"Z-Zena," Frana said, shifting away from the pile of maggots she pushed out. "You don't happen to know a spell that can save Peri?"

Zenatha's smile dropped slightly, but she kept her attention on Perrodite. Her voice lowered to a near whisper, "even if I do, I'm already at my limits."

Frana blinked. That meant it was all up to her, but even her spells were nothing compared to Zenatha's. She winced, another load of maggots gushing out of her, before she felt some of them trying to wriggle out of her breasts. Something leaked from them onto her dress. Could be seed, or could be milk. It was far from her concern. "P-Peri... please. It's us!"

"Peri?" Perrodite chuckled. The flames in her hands faltered, flickering like a light bulb, and she grunted. "You mean... me?" She looked up with a weary expression, her eyes yellow, as true to her former self as her tone in voice. A sly smile broke out. "You are far too late, little kitty. I am no longer your friend. I am Vaine!" In a blink, Perrodite's demeanour dropped and her eyes flashed in amethyst once again. "For so long I've waited. For a chance to arrive. A new life with a new body. For a chance to feel the warm touch of my sweet rose." She turned to the lizard ghost, caressing his cheek as he touched hers. "Our lives were ripped from us unjustly. Murdered by those who were supposed to protect us. Our families. When our only crime is love."

"Hmm... sounds like a play I read before," Zenatha said calmly. "You die from a knife and a bottle of poison, did you?"

Vaine hissed. Her hand reared, almost ready to throw a ball of flame towards her, had something not stayed her hand. "We were both executed publicly as examples to some petty race war." Her arm relaxed, gently resting on top of her breast. "Master gave us a chance. To live once again, even if we have to compete with other ghosts. But this. This body is perfect. A lizard girl, same kin as my love, Kahsi. Strong in body and will, though tainted. Once the venom wears off, I will permanently merge myself in this body. I would sooner die again than to let this second chance slip."

"B-But... that's wrong. That's just wrong!" Frana snapped. "Peri. She is our friend! Someone we cannot just simply replace. You think this is right to just take her from us? Despite the heartbreak?"

"Enough!" Vaine levitated in the air, the ghosts brushing past her and encroaching towards the pair. "You will soon join her under Master's curse anyways. This body is mine and mine alone! Now either you get out of my way, or you will suffer just as your friend did."

"If you can ward off ghosts, now is the time to use it!" Zena said, stepping back slowly.

Something clicked in Frana's head, and quickly, with both hands, she scratched another sophisticated rune on the ground. Activated with just a palm over it, the symbol glowed, and a translucent white dome popped out and spread like an inflating balloon. The ghosts that got too near were pushed back, and Vaine snarled, floating a few inches back to avoid the surface.

"Interesting." Zenatha rubbed her chin, and tensed her spell arm when the dragon tried to tug at his bindings again. "You backed away from the barrier. Does that mean unless you fully merged with Peri, that it will force your spirit out of her?"

"You have a sly tongue, girl!" Vaine said, then she sniffed the air, towards Zenatha's direction. "That is... if you are truly a girl." She placed a finger on her cheek, looking curiously at the witch. "Hmm... your body leaves something to be desired, but it will have to do. Once Kahsi trains you up a bit that is."

"Oh? I'm flattered," Zenatha grabbed her spell arm and clenched it hard, the spellcircle waning a little. "Sorry, but even if I desire the prospects of mating my Peri, I at least prefer to do it on my free will. Speaking of which, that body you have owes me for several things. Unless you are going to take on her debt, I would like to have her back. Even if I have to do it by force."

Is she crazy? What if Vaine bought her bluff? "Zena, what can we do?"

Zenatha shifted closer. Then Frana jerked her hand back, her foot resting on it until it could step on Frana's warding rune. The markings on the same leg glowed, and she smiled. "It's simple. On the count of three, we swap targets. One..."

Frana stiffened. "W-Wait, swap targets?"

"Two-make a weapon. Any weapon!"

"B-But I can't..." Her mind stammered. Not only with her arousal bugging her, but to frantically think of something. A sword? Sword! She quickly raised both her palms up and...

"Three!"

"Clamor Arcum!" With a puff of glowing fire, a translucent sword appeared, floating with its blade up above her palms. It sported a rather long handle, but an impressive length of blade.

Zenatha broke her spell circle and rushed forward. At that same instant the dragon behind her growled, snapping the withering vines, and his pounding footsteps vibrated up her body. Frana closed eyes. Strong wind brushed by her. She looked up, and saw the dragon chasing after Zenatha. The later threw her palm forward, a similar dome of warding bursting from her, but not in the dragon's direction. She was aiming it right at Perrodite. Instinctively the ghosts backed off from the dragon, but Perrodite covered her face in her arms and screamed. Then it was Zenatha's turn, screaming as the dragon buried his fangs into her shoulder and dragged her down onto her belly.

"Zena!" Frana cried out. The maggots flailed within her again, and she remained still, gently pushing more of them out.

"You should never turn your back on a dragon, witch!" The dragon anchored both her legs with his hindclaws and forced them apart, his tail doubling over to pry at her underwear for his maggot-infested phallus. "You will never know when he was biding his time for revenge!"

A figure loomed in front of Frana. The shadow's arm already grasping at the conjured claymore and snatching it from her, before running towards the dragon. He had noticed, albeit too late, before the magic sword slashed across his cheek. Green blood soared into the sky towards where the figure swung, and the dragon backed off with another roar, staggering and falling to his side. But as swift as a toppled dog, he was on his fours again, bent low and growled at his attacker. Her silver and blue hair settled on her neck, the claymore's light illuminating much of her familiar green scales and that skimpy outfit.

Frana's eyes widened, and she couldn't contain her smile. "Peri!"
