A sequel to A Sabrewolf Encounter, Vyrnen is starting to find that electronics were acting strange around him after his fateful encounter with the technomancer hybrid from months before, which prompted him to look for the reclusive hybrid. What he finds is that while he was hunting for Serathin there were others that were keen on finding him instead.

Though not nearly as big as the atrium itself, the facility wing that they had just entered was rather spacious in its design and for the first time they could see actual laboratory work going on. Most of the outer area was just a hallway that led into various lab rooms, sealed off with various levels of PPE that were needed to get in. As they continued to where Vyrnen could sense his body he didn't feel like any of the projects they went by were from his nanites, though it only had been a day or so since his capture and perhaps they hadn't had the chance to impliment anything yet. If they were still in the testing phase of the host itself than perhaps they could get his body out before they could get a sample out of him...

As they turned a corner into an area marked specimen containment Vyrnen found that he might have gotten his hopes up a bit prematurely. While there was no guard this time the door was made out of heavy steel that gave it the appearance of a blast door or bulkhead. There was also a reader there of a nature that they had feared they might have to go up against, a DNA scanner. The two looked at each other before deciding to find a quiet area where they could hash out the next phase of this plan.

"Well, so much for that idea..." Vyrnen said once they had found a corner of a small lounge that the employees used. Though it was very risky they called on Serathin to join them so that they could get his insight on what was happening. At first when the nanite dragon tried to bring him through nothing happened, but finally after a few minutes the holographic image of the other creature finally came through.

"You guys here yet?" Serathin asked. "There's a guy here that's asking all sorts of questions, personal ones that I can't answer right now. I've been avoiding them for the most part and I think so far he's bought it but if he sees through this ruse and knows Vyrnen is still actually out there we're going to be in a lot of trouble."

"Almost home free Serathin," Noah replied. "Unfortunately we got a big problem in the form of a DNA scanner here. Even if Vincent was cleared to go into the specimen storage, which he's not, we can't forge his DNA. Can you do something on your end?"

"No... everything is black boxed here and they have me in some sort of surgical theatre right now," Serathin informed them. "I maybe have enough power to affect the lights, not enough to hack through a likely military grade scanner. My only thought is that you could get a sample of someone's DNA and use it to pass through to the other side. Listen... I have to get going, he's still asking questions and I'm not sure if he can tell I'm in autopilot so hurry up and do what you have to do."

The two looked at one another in silence before Vyrnen finally sighed. "I have to sleep with someone, don't I?" he said, which caused the cheetah to giggle despite himself.

"Sorry, serious business..." Noah said as he put on a stern face once more. "You don't have to sleep with a person but an intense make-out session would probably do."

"That is true..." Vyrnen said. "Even with this not being my body it's a nanite creature, which means that if I can just get enough of a sample I can store it inside until we need it. Hopefully whoever we find uses a lot of tongue."

The two quickly set about the lounge area and the other break rooms to find someone that they could lure into their clutches and steal their DNA for what they hoped was the final lock that they needed. Noah took point at this juncture, not only because they wouldn't remember talking to them after he was done but also because he could help influence their decisions later on if needed. While he did that Vyrnen tried to stick to the shadows in case anything happened that would need him to hide, even though he was in the body of the grey wolf he knew he couldn't be too careful.

That thought was quickly realized as half an hour later the nanite dragon saw a familiar face walk through the door, Caleb walking in with his squad of cronies as they went to the small vending area in order to grab snacks and rest. They all seemed to be rather tired and as the lemur took the overstuffed chair near the corner of the space Vyrnen attempted to subtly maneuver himself so that he could sit next to them and hear what they were saying without being in their line of sight. Luckily it appeared that they didn't care who listened in as they laughed and joked with one another.

"I do not know why you're putting yourself through all this trouble in all honesty Caleb," one of them said with a smirk on his face. "You know that they don't care where he comes from, all they want to do is find out how much he's worth."

"Well I still think they're idiots," Caleb replied as he crossed his arms. "Why just have one nanite dragon worth of material when we could find out where he came from and get more? The fact they think that this is some other company's attempt at industrial espionage or something like that is so stupid it hurts just thinking about it."

"Well those idiots also pay the bills," another one of them said. "That means you got to do what they say, and they're saying to knock off the interrogation routine and just harvest him so they can get the nanites into the lab on the next day. They've cleared out all the schedules for half the lab, you delay it any further they might put you into the blender instead."

Vyrnen swallowed hard as they heard them continue to discuss what they were about to do, which was basically drain the entirety of the nanites and put them into separate containers so they couldn't possibly reconstitute themselves. Though Caleb continued to moan that they were making a mistake and he wanted more time it was clear that there was a schedule set for this to happen, which was two hours from now. While he had no idea what that would mean to Serathin currently inhabiting his form it meant that he wouldn't have a body to return to no matter what... something that he didn't like to think about.

Fortunately he didn't have to think about it long as he saw Noah appear in the doorframe, the cheetah about to walk in before he saw the lemur sitting there and motioned instead for him to come out. Without drawing too much attention to himself Vyrnen stood up and walked away from the group to go into the hallway. "Alright, I think I found a match," the cheetah said. "All you have to do is get into a makeout session with him and you'll be good to go."

When Vyrnen told Noah about the plans he had overheard it caused the cheetah to grimace and redouble their efforts to get through that door. When they got to their destination, which turned out to be a supply closet, Noah informed Vyrnen that their target was already primed and waiting for him. "Wait, I don't know anything about him!" Vyrnen exclaimed as the cheetah opened the door. "And what if he starts asking stuff about Vincent?"

"Something tells me that he's not going to be thinking about that," Noah said. "Now go get 'em tiger!"

As Vyrnen swallowed hard he was given a push on the rear to have him go inside, then the door was quickly shut behind him. He had no idea what he was about to walk into at that point and part of him was afraid of what he was about to see. Of course all he had to do was get some saliva and leave, but what if this person rejected his advances? Or worse... what if this was some sort of set-up to get the horny wolf to commit another workplace fraternization violation and he was just caught in the middle?

When he turned the corner however all his speculation at the possible rejection went out the window as he saw a green-scaled dragon male with his pants off and his already hard cock jutting out in the air. "Well there you are," he said with a grin on his muzzle as he gestured him forward. "Noah promised me that you were up for a good time and I was beginning to wonder if he was just pulling my chain. It seems like always he's got the hook-up and I'm horny as hell, let's do this."

Vyrnen could already see a drop of pre sliding down the underside of the meaty cock as he went up to the other male. While the dragon was certainly not the largest he had ever seen he was still fairly athletic in nature and his endowment was definitely not the smallest. Noah definitely had an eye for men, the nanite dragon said as he leaned up for a kiss only to get pushed back with a finger on his lips. "What do you think you're doing?" The dragon asked.

"Uh... kissing?" Vyrnen replied, which caused the other male to chuckle.

"We don't have time for kissing," the dragon replied as he pointed down at his throbbing member. "Now I got a bottle of lube and thirty minutes left on my break, you either put this inside you right now or I'm going to get back to my rapidly cooling ravioli. Which is it?"

"Damnit Noah..." Vyrnen muttered before he put a grin on his muzzle and nodded. "Yeah, let's do this."

The dragon grinned once more before telling the perceived wolf to put his pants around his ankles and to spread his legs. The skinsuit mimicked his pants falling down before sliding up against his pucker, helping to ease the insertion of the sizable member about to be pushed inside him. It was clear that this was not going to be some sort of slow session of lovemaking, especially not when he heard the dragon behind him growl and lick from the middle of his back all the way to the back of his neck. As the other male pawed and groped him with one hand still the other had lubed up the throbbing member as the head was already positioned against the opening of his tailhole.

"Don't mess up my shirt," the dragon said as he began to push inside, Vyrnen's eyes bulging slightly from the insertion that even with the aid of the suit and the lube caused his toes to curl. Luckily his nanites were quickly compensating on the fly as the dragon was unrelenting in his insertion, though he did stop a few times whenever Vyrnen jumped from a few inches being pushed into him at once. The nanite dragon braced his canine form against the spare desk he had been bent over and felt his breath get pushed out of his lungs as now even push inside him was accompanied by a wave of pleasure.

"Hey Vyrnen we got a oh my god!" Vyrnen felt his tailhole clench and caused a louder than normal moan to come out of the dragon behind him as he looked up and saw the draconic sabrewolf standing there with his hand over his mouth and his eyes widened. "Sorry, didn't realize I was interrupting you taking one for the team, but this is super important so you're going to have to bear with me and listen up even with a dragon dick... quite deep inside you, well, technically me, but I digress..."

Vyrnen tilted his head and gave him a look that told him to hurry up, unable to say anything lest the other male behind him would take his advice to heart and speed up the already thigh-slapping rhythm he was making. "Alright, so unfortunately I think I've been found out," Serathin continued as quickly as he could while the wolf that was Vyrnen looked up at him. "That being said it looks like you're almost ready to storm the castle so what I need you to do is go to the room next to this one and-"

The words suddenly stopped coming out of the sabrewolf's mouth and at first he thought something had gone wrong, especially as his body started to move slightly erratically. Then the nanite dragon became aware his movements were the same as his own as he was being thrusted into by the needy dragon behind him, who had grabbed him by his thighs and began to plow into him even faster. Even as he felt himself get stretched open and the tip banged against his prostate the sensations of lust and pleasure were actually growing less intense. It was like someone was turning down the pleasure and the further down it went the more he began to realize he was losing other sensations as well.

When Vyrnen turned back to ask Serathin what was happening he saw that the sabrewolf was gone, though he could still feel his presence even as his own began to fade. The room grew brighter around him and the sounds of the dragon grunting and groaning behind him became muted as the nanite dragon felt like was getting pulled out of his body. Finally there was a snap that reverberated through his entire body and everything around him was a blinding white light that caused him to close his eyes to attempt to shut it out...

When the light was finally subdued enough that he could see once again he found himself staring up at a large set of bulbs that you would see above an operating table. When he tried to move he found himself restrained quite thoroughly, the metal around him clattering as he attempted to move before hearing the sounds of laughter around him. "I told you that wasn't the real creature," Caleb's unmistakable voice said as his head appeared in his field of vision to block out the light. "Now is everything back where it should be or are we going to have to try this again?"

Vyrnen tried to spit up at him but the lemur was quicker than him and clamped his muzzle shut with the straps that had been on him the entire time. Though he was thankful to be back in his familiar body once again he was definitely not thrilled with the venue he was in, though with the lights shining directly on him and his head restrained all he could see was shadows that moved around him. The only one he was certain of was Caleb, and knowing he was there caused his blood to boil as he once more attempted to escape his bindings.

"Well real or not you're going to have to liquidate him soon," the voice of the one from the break room said. "They're not going to give you an extension just because his spirit or programming or whatever else was outside his body."

"We'll see about that," Caleb said with a sneer on his face as he left Vyrnen's vision and walked elsewhere. "As soon as I show them proof that what I was saying was correct they're going to want this one for more than just parts! Think of the information stored in his head that we can download, if my theory is correct this one can jump through worlds! Do you think they would really destroy such a find just so they can build a slightly better brand of nanite?"

No one said anything as Vyrnen heard footsteps go from the table to the door, followed by it swinging shut which caused everyone there to breathe out in relief and anxiety. "Crazy nutter," that same voice said as Vyrnen suddenly felt the table getting moved and the light going out of his eyes. "Higher ups already made their decision, I say we juice him before he gets back."

Vyrnen swallowed hard as he was suddenly able to see the half a dozen other workers that were milling about while they brought the table up so that he was in a standing position. "You know he's going to go berserk when he sees he did this," another one of them said as they set a number of needles down on the tray next to him. "Not that I would rather get on the bad side of the big boys, but just be prepared to restrain him if necessary."

"We should just call security and get him out of here completely," the first voice replied as they got ready to insert the first needle, the nanite dragon's entire body tensing up and straining against his restraints. "I mean he keeps going on about trying to find the source of this signal and that this guy is some sort of alien from another world it's to the point where I question his sanity. I know he's the head of the department and such but enough is enough, am I right?"

Just as they were about to push the needle into his scales the door suddenly burst open with such force that caused him to drop it. They turned expecting to see their boss standing there pissed off, but what they got instead was an almost manic-looking cheetah with a submachine gun in his hands. "You are absolutely right!" he shouted as Serathin came up behind him, a silver pistol in each hand that he aimed at them. "Enough is enough!"

The guns they used didn't make any noise but their effect was definitely noted as several of them dropped down before they could even consider what to do next. Those that were fortunate enough to move were brought down soon after as the cheetah laid out several precise shots that hit most of them right in the middle of the throat. When the last one hit the floor they went over to Vyrnen and quickly began to undo the straps that held him there. Though some of them were made of simple leather others had metallic bindings on them that had to be deactivated remotely, which Serathin was more than happy to do as his eyes glowed green while they hovered over the mechanisms.

"You guys have great timing," Vyrnen said as he began to feel himself able to move once again. "Another minute and I would have been a slurry at the bottom of several tanks."

"Well we actually got in a few minutes ago, we just wanted to hold so that we could have a more dramatic entrance," Noah admitted, which caused the nanite dragon's jaw to drop as a grin appeared on the cheetah's face. "Just kidding, though we would have been here earlier if Serathin could have handled that dragon dick a little better."

"Hey, you try making a guy cum after being shunted from a body you were in to one getting railed on a desk in a supply closet," Serathin shot back. "Of course it might have been for the best all things considered and where this conversation was going... had we not switched they might have just decided to destroy Vyrnen right then and there. Speaking of conversations I'm going to need Mr. Happy and Mr. Angry."

"And you say we never use the gear I pack," Noah said as he stuck out his tongue. Just as the last few straps were about to come off the operating light suddenly exploded in a shower of sparks as several armed guards came in and started shooting at them. Both Serathin and Noah managed to get the operating table turned around to provide some cover and to keep working on the straps as Noah shot at them with his weapon.

"They're wearing body armor," he said as he saw several of his slivers glint in the light from where they stuck out of the heavy vest. "How rude."

As the sparks continued to fly from the bullets behind shot into the theater at them Vyrnen knew they were in trouble, especially since every time Serathin got close to getting the last latch unhooked a bullet would whizz by his head that would cause him to duck back down. What they needed was a way to work unencumbered, even if it was for a few minutes. He looked up at the lights and remembered what Serathin had said to him and concentrated the remnant of his power on them. Though it was like slogging through quicksand he managed to get to the point where all the lights in the area went completely dark.

"Very nice," Serathin said as he heard the security guards fumbling around for night vision goggles while the draconic sabrewolf was way ahead of them with his own glowing eyes. "Time to end this." Vyrnen watched as he was able to easily undo the last lock now that he wasn't being shot at, then as the nanite dragon got on his own two feet the cheetah held out two cylinders that Serathin took.

As Vyrnen led the cheetah out of the dark room Serathin pulled out both pins that were on top of the devices. "One for you," he said as he tossed the one with a happy face on it into a nearby room that looked like it was full of recording equipment, then took the one with an angry face and tossed it at the guards. "And one for you. Good night everyone!"

As the three left the recording studio next to the operating theater burst into flames, equipment flying out of it as fire erupted from the area while at the same time the cylinder at the guard's feet exploded and caused hundreds of rubber balls to fly out and incapacitate them in either the initial blast or the ricochets to allow them time to escape...

*****************************

Hours later Caleb sat at his desk with bottle of scotch and glass in front of him, though both of his hands were currently gripped against his head as he looked down at the reports in his desk while a torrent of rain pounded on the window behind him. Not only had someone broken in to one of their highest security facilities and made off with an invaluable specimen but they also managed to do it right under his nose. That didn't look good for the facility and definitely didn't look good for him as he felt his head throb underneath his fingers. Finally he pulled them away to pour himself another drink and was just about to stand up when his phone rang.

"I told you I'm not accepting any more calls Terri," he said before he heard a chuckle on the line that wasn't his secretary that caused him to pause. "...who is this?"

"Don't be so hard on your secretary," Noah said on the other end of the line. "Once she heard that I was your cousin calling about wanting to go bowling she was more than happy to patch me through to you."

"What are you talking about?" Caleb said angrily. "I don't have a cousin and I hate bowling."

Once again there was another chuckle before Noah continued. "We don't have time for such frivolities anyway, we have important things to discuss. Like, for instance, the fact that you somehow managed to intercept an encrypted SHIFT transmission in order to pinpoint the location of one of our safe houses. You got my higher-ups quite upset with how naughty of a boy you've been."

Caleb's blood turned to ice in his veins as he found himself unable to say anything, his mouth opening and closing a few times as his brain reeled from the shock. That transmission... how did this person know about that? "Listen," Caleb said as he cleared his throat. "I don't know what you're talking about but even if I did you can't prove-"

"Do you honestly think we'd be talking right now if I was going to do something as mundane as arrest you?" Noah said on the other side of the line. "This is a far bigger arena that you stumbled into, one that has serious consequences attached to it that you don't even realize. Now the information that you found led to the capture of one of our agents and endangered another to retrieve them, not to mention the feedback created when you tapped into it in the first place. Now I'm going to ask you a series of questions and you have once chance, just one, of answering me truthfully... did you actually hear the signal?"

There was a moment of silence, Caleb's hand shaking slightly as he held the phone while Noah asked again if he heard the signal.

"I... I did..." Caleb replied.

"And did you understand the signal?" Noah continued on.

"Yes..."

"Enough that you were able to replicate it?"

"No... no I tried but couldn't duplicate the results."

"...was it beautiful?"

"What...?

"Last question, was it beautiful?"

"...it was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard."

"Thank you. Now do me a favor and enjoy that scotch you're holding rather quickly if you could."

Caleb was about to ask more questions when the receiver suddenly went dead, the lemur looking from that to the drink in his hand. There was a moment of realization in his eyes as he slowly hung up the phone, then swirled the golden liquid in his glass before he tipped it back and downed the contents. A few seconds later the sound of glass cracking could be heard; the first was from a pane of glass in the window as a perfectly shaped hole had been created in it, the second was from the empty rocks glass hitting the floor and breaking as Caleb fell forward and knocked over the remaining scotch. The whistle of wind coming in from the hole in the window was the only noise that filled the room as the liquor dumped out onto the desk before it mingled with the bright crimson pool that spread out from where the lemur's head landed...

Outside on the rooftop of another building Noah sat there with a cigarette in his mouth, the rain pouring on him as he held a hand over his cigarette to keep it lit while watching the scene unfold in the lemur's office. A few minutes went by before he saw the door to the office open and the secretary let out a scream that could be heard even above the rain, which meant it was time for the cheetah to go. He went back to the shelter of the roof and packed up the sniper rifle he had been carrying, then as he sealed up the case and started down the stairs he pressed a button on the cuff of his suit.

"Timeline terminated," Noah said as he ran down the stairs. "And tell Caleb that if I'm going to keep screwing his alts like this he's going to have to buy me dinner first... or at least give me one of those punch cards where the tenth time I kill him I get a free coffee or something. Anyway tell the higher-ups that the mission is complete and I'm coming home, Serathin should be right behind me."

Meanwhile Serathin and Vyrnen sat in the loft where it had all started, the two of them eating a fresh batch of Chinese food as the rain battered the glass from outside. "I can't believe that all that interference I was experiencing came from your ABC suit being on ice in his world or timeline or whatever you call it," the nanite dragon said after slurping up some lo mien. "I thought your powers couldn't leak from body to body unless you specifically told it too?"

"Well there was some outside interference that was causing it to happen as well," Serathin replied between mouthfuls of crab rangoon. "Had Caleb not been looking for you and been trying to track you down using the signal he found here none of this would have ever happened. Since you don't feel the spikes happening in your own body my only assumption is that Agent Noah succeeded in cleaning up the mess and putting everything in order."

"It's a shame he couldn't join us," Vyrnen said. "I would have liked to talk to him a bit more before you guys disappear into the void like you do. At least that's what I'll suspect will happen, right?"

"Yeah," Serathin said with a small grin as he moved over to the white box filled with his own shrimp fried rice. "Of course you got to my world before, it doesn't mean that you can't do it again. Of course the powers that be aren't huge fans of strangers dropping in unannounced so if you can find a way to tell me ahead of time that would be great."

Vyrnen just chuckled and looked out the window while the sabrewolf shoveled rice into his maw. "I think that sounds like a lot of hassle just for a visit," he said with a sigh. "Perhaps we will be parting ways for good this time."

"Well never say that," Serathin replied with a grin once he had swallowed. "I told you last time this was a one performance deal and here we are in the encore. Who knows what we might be asked to do next?"
