02 Mindless
#2 of Inktober 2019
Inktober 2019, day two.
A bit of a mental dump that is strangely positive, coming from me. Perhaps this is something I needed to hear for myself, as much as anything else.
Don't worry, some of the later days have prompts that will very obviously lend themselves to more furry content. For now, the "you" is intentionally ambiguous. Take it as yourself, or don't. Only you can choose. Choose wisely.
You have a mind. A brilliant, creative mind. A gift of god or evolution or the freakish improbability of the cosmos. A mind that can conceive of things great and small. A mind that is aware of itself and its surroundings.
Put it to use. Do things. Create things. Imagine entire worlds and destroy them as a pure thought experiment. Take in every tiny detail and fixate upon it, or take in everything around you all at once and ascribe meaning to it.
Above all else, never be mindless. Resist the urge to give in. To take the easy path. Being aware of the world - internal and external - is the only way to change it. Whether you can convince the mindless masses is irrelevant at first. Let your conviction drive you so clearly that even they can understand it without thinking.=
There is so much more to be than just another insignificant, mindless cog in the system. But only you can bring yourself to be those things. Only you can choose between mindful and mindless being.
Choose wisely.
