Llir trailed after his friends down the sidewalk. It was the last day of school, and his friends were eagerly discussing their plans for the summer. Llir glanced up to look over the pair before him. Toni was a German Shepard fur. His white and black fur was always spotlessly brushed and he always wore the newest style cloths. Llir often envied him of the wealth that his family had to waste on his selfish demands. They weren't all that selfish though, Llir had to remind himself of the time someone had stolen his bike. He had been devastated by it's loss, as he had worked so hard to save up the money to buy the bike. Toni had shown up the very next day with the same exact bike that Llir had stolen from him...along with a new bike lock that would prove more difficult to pick or cut. He hadn't even asked for it, but he had to admit he had been grateful for his friends concern. Toni may have been materialistic, but he understood the value people held in objects.

His other friend, Eric, was a ferret fur. His fur was amber gold and he had light tan markings. All the girls seemed to think he was attractive.Sadly, Eric knew this..and he used it. He had a new girl each week, and he boasted that by the time they finished high school next year, he'd have dated every girl that was worth looking at in the school. His boast seemed to have only encouraged the girls to accept his date offers rather then chase them away. Looking at the pair, Llir could see how the vain ferret and the selfish Shepard could end up being friends. Where did he fit in? Llir glanced down at himself. His fur was so black he felt like a ugly ink blot. His eyes were a weird color. A sharp purple that contrasted and made him feel uncomfortable having his picture taken. He looked like a panther, his mother fondly told him when he started to fuss over his fur. But he wasn't a panther. He was just a cat. A regular feline. Llir's ears folded back against his head a little as he listened to Toni bragging about how his parents were off vacationing and had left him home alone.

"Ah! We should have a party! I'll call some hot girls up. Two for each of us you think?" Eric churred eagerly. Llir looked up dubiously as the pair of boy's turned to look back at him. "Ah...sorry guys... my folks are taking me with them to the lake after school. Dad wants to do the 'family vacation' thing before everyone else heads out."

"Ah. You suck." Toni growled and waved a paw dismissively at Llir. His cheeks burned a little as his 'friends' resumed their plans to invite some females over. As the discussion became more vulgar, Llir slowed his pace until the pair had gotten a good distance ahead of him. It wasn't like he didn't want to go. It would have been nice to have some female attention. Even if he had to rely on Eric to get some girls to pet his fur. He doubted he could manage to get anything more then that. Of the three, he was the 'hanger on'. Toni and Eric were the ones the girls would really be interested in.

Llir sighed and lifted his head from the sidewalk. He had stopped along a strip that had long since been vacant. Until now it seemed. With a curious tilt of his head, Llir approached what was supposed to be a empty building. The window had been cleaned though, and a sign hung in the window that simply stated that it was 'Open'. Llir glanced up the street, and he saw that Toni and Eric had not yet noticed his distance...or maybe they didn't quite care? Huffing softly to himself, Llir pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The first thing he noticed was the scent. It was a gentle but nose tingling smell. It instantly made his temples feel like they were buzzing, but he could not quite identify it. Was it a type of smoke? A flower? A herb? It seemed like none of them that Llir could tell. The next thing he noticed was the inside. The place looked...weird. He was standing in a hall. A very long hall. He could not see the end of it, and along his left side was a line of identical doors. Llir began to walk along the hall and he looked at each of the doors that he passed. Many were closed that he came across, and upon testing the door handle he found that they were locked. When it was that he finally found a door open, Llir peered inside curiously. Odd...it was just..a room. A small black painted room.

Llir entered the room and closed the door behind him. It swung shut silently, and he heard a faint click. A light flickered to life on the wall opposite the door, casting a pale glow over what seemed to be a computer chair. Llir carefully walked over, and he peered down at the light. It turned out to be a small computer monitor. On the screen, a bright black and white message glowed.

'Welcome to the Mystery Box' it said.

Llir lowered himself down into the computer chair, and he rolled himself forwards to get a better look at the screen. For moments nothing happened. Carefully Llir reached out, and he touched the screen. Immediately there was a soft chiming sound that came from the screen and the message flickered away. A question appeared on the screen, followed by a touch screen keyboard. Ah! it was one of those kiosk things!

'What is your name?' the kiosk displayed. Llir leaned forwards and typed out his name carefully.

'L-L-I-R' he glanced up at the screen and found a little check mark in the corner. He lightly tapped it, and the screen went blank. Llir waited, his purple eyes fixed on the black screen. After a few moments the screen flickered back on.

'Known'

'Unknown'

Llir looked between the two words. Known or unknown...what? He lifted a hand, and hovered it over the screen. Known, he decided after a moment. As he'd rather 'Know' what this all was. The screen flickered and three more selections appeared.

'Person'

'Place'

'Thing'

What sort of selections were these? Llir tapped off the top option, and was hardly surprised at the keyboard that appeared.

'Please Select a Person'

Okay..fine..a person. Who did he want to select? Llir's eyes fell on the keyboard for a moment.

'E-R-I-C' he decided to enter the ferrets name. He was so vain he'd have been pleased to have known he had been picked out of all the people Llir knew for this..whatever it was.

The screen again went blank..then a very odd assortment of buttons appeared. Llir looked them over slowly. There was no helpful prompt to tell him what each one meant. There was the image of a cat's head, a glove, a shoe, a tail, and what appeared to be a pair of shorts. Llir looked between them all and uncertainly tapped the shoe. Once more the screen darkened. This time though, the glowing white message returned.

'Thank you for your Selection. Please enjoy your Mystery Box'

The screen went dark, and Llir found himself sitting in a pitch black room. A soft hum began, and in the wall next to the screen another light turned on. Llir pushed himself over to the box, and found himself peering into what seemed to be one of those little glass aquariums that rested inside of the wall. Except...only the front itself was glass. Llir could not see the top or even the back due to a weird black shadow. A small tube descended into the glass box, and a second later something small and orange tumbled out of it. As the small thing came to a stop, and began to pick itself up, Llir gasped in shock.

It was Eric! A very...very small Eric! Llir's purple eyes widened considerably and he put his face closer to the tank. Eric had to be only four inch's tall. He was utterly naked, and as he stood he covered his sheath by curling his tail around his middle. Eric's head lifted, and he released a small and rather pathetic squeak.

"Llir! What the fuck is going on!?" Eric cried out. Llir opened his mouth, and shook his head a little.

"I don't know Eric! I just...put your name in this computer and--" A foot slammed down in the box near to Eric, causing the small fur to topple to the ground. Llir sat back in the computer chair, his eyes wide and mouth open wide in shock. The foot that had stomped down was a midnight black cat's paw, and looked remarkably familiar! Llir glanced down at his own foot, if only to assure himself that his foot was still where it was supposed to be. A small shrill scream pulled Llir's attention back to the box. The foot had moved. It had lifted, and had moved to hover over Eric. Eric ran in a panic away from the hovering foot, but no matter where he ran, the foot moved to remain over him.

"Llir! Help me Llir!" Eric screamed. he ran to the glass and began to bang upon it's flat surface with his small fists. Llir pressed his hands to the other side of the glass and clawed at it's surface with no evident success.

"I..I can't!" He said to Eric. Llir's eyes widened as the foot swung low. Before he had a chance to warn Eric, the foot pressed down on him. Llir's mouth dropped in horror as Eric's small body was pressed against the glass. His terror filled eyes peered out at him and his mouth opened in a scream. The foot twisted slowly, and Eric's body shifted as the pad's spread. Eric's golden furred body sunk between those pads, a fearful squeak followed as the foot drew back from the glass a little. The pressure eased off Eric only enough to allow him to start squirming.

Llir felt a flush of heat while he watched Eric caught in the foots pad. Despite knowing he ought to be helping his friend, he knew there was no way he could get him out of that box. That knowledge somehow freed him. Llir found himself sinking back in the chair, and watching with growing fascination the show before him.

The foot continued to hover before the glass. The toes flexed, squeezing Eric between the pads and drawing pained squeaks from the ferret fur. Llir shifted in his chair and licked his lips when the foot curled into a tighter ball. The paw pulled away from the glass, and as Llir watched, it gently pressed against the base of the box. Llir could see a small hand twitching and clawing peeking out from under the paw. He could also see Eric's golden tail sticking out from the back of the paw. As he watched, the paw pressed down, and took a step. Llir could hear Eric's muffled scream of pain. The hand's fingers straitened out and shook as the paw took that single step. Llir leaned forwards with his nose pressed to the glass so he could better see. His ears swiveled forwards so he could better hear that tiny scream.

The paw took another step, and again Llir heard Eric screaming. Llir pressed his leg's together, and found himself jumping in his seat. Unknown to him, his cock had become hardened. By pressing his leg's together, he could clearly feel the material of his briefs rubbing against the head as it poked out from his sheath. He swallowed hard and pushed a hand slowly down the front of his pants. As his fingers curled around the head of his cock, he heard another scream and looked up.

The paw had stopped taking it's slow steps. Now it was pressing down against the bottom of the box, and it was twisting back and forth slowly. Llir could see Eric's small nose pointing out between two of the pads.

"Oh...oh yeah." Llir breathed softly. His hand began to move up and down in his pants as he looked at that black paw. It was so very easy to imagine that really was his paw. So easy to see it as himself now stepping on Eric and grinding him into the ground. "S...Squish 'im." he panted softly.

As if responding to his spoken command, the box seemed to tip on it's side. Now Llir could see Eric pinned beneath the paw and the glass 'bottom'. Eric's eyes were closed tightly in pain. His left arm was twisted between one of the pads, and to Llir's strange delight he could see his small sheath and balls mashed nearly flat against the glass. The toe pads opened and stretched wide before lifting up. Eric's body flopped free onto the glass. His eyes opened and he panted as he struggled to rise. The foot nudged Eric with one toe, causing him to roll over onto his back. Llir sat forwards a bit, his purple eyes wide as his hand squeezed firmly around his own cock.

As he watched, the foot rose and hovered. Eric gave a small cry of fear and began to back away from it. "Do it. Do it." Llir urged the foot eagerly and tugged his pants open to make it easier for him to stroke himself. The foot came down on Eric in a swift stomp. SPLAT!! One moment his friend was struggling to scoot away. The next moment the glass shuddered under the force of the stomp and Eric's body exploded in a red splotch beneath the pad. Llir's hips jerked forwards and he gasped at the sudden heady rush that tingled from the tip of his tail to his ears. The paw lifted and stomped back down on the small crushed body. Llir could see the gore clinging to the bottom of the foot as it proceeded to mash up Eric's body even more. Llir moaned in pleasure and bent forwards over his hard cock.

The paw pressed back down on the smashed remains of Eric. Bearing down on it, Llir could see red goo seeping through the pads of the foot. It then twisted, and smeared Eric even flatter. Llir cried out as he came. His body jerked as small white streams splattered onto the chair cushion and floor. The foot wriggled it's toes a few times, then lifted back into the darkness and vanished.

Llir sat back in the chair with his hand cupped over his throbbing cock until it retreated back into it's sheath. His body felt weak, and he felt a twisting sensation in his stomach. Slowly Llir looked back at the now dark box. Despite the fact the light was gone, he could easily see the red gooey smear that had been Eric. The foot had mashed the ferret up so well that there was no way he could even guess that it had once been his friend. Llir swallowed heavily and pulled his pants back up as a sense of shame and guilt fell upon him.

A flashing white light drew his eyes from the red splotch on the glass, and he looked back at the Kiosk.

'Congratulations! You have Unlocked Level Two' Flashed on the screen. Llir stared at it in horror. Level two? As in...like..a game? He had just killed one of his friends, and felt pleasure over it...and it was all a game? Shaking his head, Llir crawled from the chair and dashed to the door. Flinging it open he rushed outside...and blinked. He had expected to step out into the hallway. Instead he found himself standing outside the unnamed shop and blinking at a darkened sky. How long had he been in there!? Frightened and feeling sick, Llir raced down the street to get home.
