Lone Wolf

Divine Punishment

A small bar of warmth caressed his face signaling that morning had arrived. Lukas yawned his long canine tongue unfurling forth from his canine muzzle, as he inhaled his first conscious breath of the day. He stated remembering the exquisite dream he had last night. He had saved a beautiful damsel in distress; afterwards the two had shared a passionate kiss that transcended the realm of physical bliss. The scent of that beautiful tigress filled his nostrils as he sighed; he thought nothing of believing it nothing more than a dream. A throaty rumbling purr invaded his auditory senses; he brushed the sound off as if it was nothing but his mind playing tricks on him in his still drowsy state. His eyes soared open as he felt the soft graze of a small paw hand glide across his muscular chest. That throaty purr sounded again as the owner of the hand nuzzled hard into Lukas, the hand coming to rest just underneath his armpit. A loud high-pitched yelp escaped out of Lukas as he leapt from his bed, covers flying away as he practically soared over to the other side of the room. His eyes bulged as he recognized the goddess asleep in his bed, the one from his dream. Realization slowly crept into Lukas's mind that what he thought was a dream, was actually his memory of yesterday. I really saved this angel, He thought. His eyes danced all over Altisha, yes that was her name. As he stared he noticed that she was shuddering. Realizing it was from his suddenly absent body heat Lukas quickly fetched the wayward covers and draped them back over Altisha's incredible form. Lukas picked up his jeans and shirt that were lying on his bedside table, clothed himself and quietly left the room.

As the door to the bedroom clicked shut Lukas quickly surveyed his small apartment. He always kept it clean so he wasn't going to quickly tidy the place. He spotted what he was looking for hanging over draped over the back of his lounge, his hoodie. He lent it to Altisha last night since those bears hard torn apart her blouse. He walked over to pick it up, as he did so the thigh length skirt that she had worn fell at Lukas's feet. His cheeks burnt with the comprehension that not only had he just slept in the same bed with the most drop dead gorgeous woman he knew, but she had only been wearing he underwear. He quickly pushed those thoughts aside as he folded both items and placed them just inside the bedroom, he hoped Altisha would spot them on the floor there.

Lukas trudged back to the small couch; hoping watching television would calm him. Working in an electronics store had its benefits, especially if you had a generous boss like Danail. Whenever the store got hold of some new products Lukas was allowed to pick the ones he wanted for free. It was the only reason that he was sitting in front of the large L.E.D screen. Flickering to life the screen brought the latest new to Lukas's attention. Once again the main story was the fight for furry rights and equality, today another three-way debate was being held on a popular talk show.

"Miss Parsons, could you educate our viewers a little bit more on the position that you and your furred brethren are forced into every day?" The hostess asked the resident furry advocate.

"Certainly Janet," the buxom muskoxen replied. Most of those who would look at this exceptionally beautiful creature wouldn't have picked her for being a muskox. She kept her dark thick coat well groomed and clipped short. This was all so people could simply tell that she definitely a female, if anyone had any doubts they would easily be cast aside by the clothing that the furry was wearing. Lukas noticed all of this while the woman enlightened the general populace about the ridicule that those of the furred community faced regularly. These ranged from ostracization from parenting families, a pain which Lukas was all too familiar with, to outright violence from police officers in plain sight of others. Life as a furry was not easy by any starch of the imagination, not at least in a world dominated by humans.

The human host then crossed to the opposing side, a bishop from the Roman Catholic Church. He started his comeback by preaching that furries were obscene abominations of the devil and that all the hardships they faced was the divine punishment for their sins. Lukas knew that it was all a lie, before his transformation he had been part of a highly religious family. During his life as a human Lukas had never committed a sin or broken any of the tenants of the bible. Yet he was still transformed, he had been thrown out by his family when he had been found in this form. Tears welled in his eyes as the faces of his mother and father's reaction to their oldest child's body changed into that of an anthromorphic wolf.

Suddenly a loud rapping came from the front door, snapping Lukas out of his depressive reverie. Who would be coming to see me this early? He wondered traipsing over to the door. He opened the door to reveal his little mousey neighbor. Telia her name was, Lukas had exchanged pleasantries with her in the hall before. "Hey Telie, do you need something?" Lukas asked, calling Telia by the nick name he made for her. The plump little mouse reminded him of Po from the children's show the Telle-Tubbies, she even had the bright red fur to match.

The mouse giggled in reply. "No... but I did happen to notice last night, that an extremely shy wolf boy brought home a hot tigress," the mouse continued, teasing Lukas slightly with the shy comment. "And you know my weakness," the mouse pointed out while ducking in under Lukas to scamper on into the apartment.

Lukas of course knew what weakness the little mouse was referring to, shaking his head as the lesbian mouse darted around the room looking for Altisha. "It's not what you think Talia," Lukas argued covering the way to the bedroom; he couldn't bear to let the little mouse think his goddess was easily won over.

The small mouse smiled slyly, noticing Lukas's protective stance in front of the door. "Okay, I get it," she said raising her arms in mock defeat realizing that she wasn't going to be able to see that sexy tigress. Flopping down on the couch she looked down at her paws. "That wasn't the only reason I why I came to see you," she said her usual cheery voice gone replaced by a sorrowful grim tone. "You remember Natter?" the mouse asked, referring to the old squirrel that lived down the hall.

"Yeah... what about him?" Lukas asked, his voice growing concerned. The squirrel in question was a nice old man, he always treated Lukas well.

"He... he was murdered just down the street earlier today," Telia answered, tears forming at the corners of her eyes. The old man was like a father to Telia, it didn't bother him that she was a lesbian or not. He was the one that helped her get on her feet after she had been thrown out of her family the same way Lukas had. He was the closest thing, apart from Lukas, that Telia had to family, now that had been torn from her as well.

Lukas's heart sank; he too had seen Natter as a father figure. "Have the police done anything about it?" Lukas asked. Unfortunately he knew the answer to the question before it had finished leaving his mouth, of course they hadn't. The law didn't care about the death of a furry, especially if it was clear that it was committed by a human. All the investigations eventually came up inconclusive. No human was going to convict another, for doing something that they themselves would do. Telia broke down after Lukas had asked the question, tears freely flowing over her chubby cheeks. He walked to her and gently pulled her into a comforting embrace, he saw Telie as his little sister. He knew she needed a pillar, Lukas was happy to provide that strength. As the quivering mouse wailed in his arms Lukas turned to see Altisha standing drowsily in the bedroom door way. Hey smiled grimly in her direction, hoping that she didn't read the situation wrong. Slowly the sobbing from Telia stopped, reducing to the occasional snivel.

"Is everything ok?" floated Altisha's voice, a soft soothing sound. Telia's ears twitched towards the sound. The red eyed chubby mouse lifted her head, spying the stunning tigress she let out a small squeak.

Lukas looked down at the small girl chasing mouse. Smiling he replied, "now that you're awake I think my friend here will be fine." He let go of Telia, as soon as his grip was loose enough she dashed right up to Altisha. As she abruptly stopped in front of Altisha to sniff the air, she sighed heavily.

"I have no chance at this one bro, she isn't into girls at all pity," Telia sighed in utter defeat. "I hope you treat this wolf hear properly dear, he is the only one in this city."

Lukas groaned at the statement, even though it was true. Lukas was the only anthromorphic wolf on record in the city. Altisha's eyes widened in surprise as the statement reached her ears. "Ok Telie you done investigating her now, if so you can leave," Lukas ordered in good humor, opening the front door for Telia. The mouse pouted in mock annoyance as she exited the room without saying a word. "Please take care of yourself I... I don't know what I would do if I lost you too, please be safe." Lukas said to her as the mouse left the apartment, she turned and nodded. The door closed with a loud click, Lukas turned about to find Altisha standing right in front of him. He blushed madly as her blue eyes studied him; she circled him like a prized stallion. Lukas didn't know what to do, "u-um... would you l-like some breakfast?" he asked stammering. His nerves were starting to take him over again.

"Sure," Altisha piped up happily, a blush played across her face as she recognized what she had just been doing. "Do you have any fish?"

Lukas nodded, "is there anything in particular that you want done with the fish?" he asked back. Lukas was good at cooking; he was the best while he was at school.

"No, Surprise me," Altisha purred back, following Lukas to sit at the small island table where Lukas started to pile lots of different ingredients. He then pulled out two fillets of red emperor, Altisha licked her lips the smell of fresh fish making her mouth water. Lukas smiled at her reaction to the fish; he hoped she would like what he was going to make her.

"Umm... I really want to surprise you, so could you not look at me making it please?" Lukas asked hoping that she would agree.

"Sure, I love surprises," Altisha replied. "Can I use your shower, I feel a little icky?"

Lukas nodded; he turned and shoved his face in the fridge trying to hide the redness in his cheeks. It seemed that the innocence from his human life was still prominent in his furred one as well. As Altisha spent her time in the shower Lukas worked hard on making a special fish dish for her. After twenty minutes the scent of fish wafting through the house drew the fresh clean tigress from the bedroom. Lukas heard her stomach rumble, as she practically bounded towards the dining table. As the tiger stared at the beautifully presented dish that lay before her, saliva practically flowed from her mouth. She grabbed the cutlery before her; Lukas was hoping that her hunger wouldn't override her manners.

The tigress tore into the dish before her, savoring the flavor with every mouthful. Lukas smiled happy that Altisha was enjoying the meal he had prepared for her. Half way through her meal Altisha looked up blinking at Lukas, "this is beautiful, what is it?" she asked, once again quickly devouring the meal.

"I see you like it," Lukas stated, hearing her moan in agreement. "Its red emperor wrapped in prosciutto, and the salad is a baby cos, white Anchovies and bean salad with hazelnut vinaigrette."

"Oh my god you made this just for me and it is only breakfast?" Altisha asked, absolutely shocked that someone would go through that much trouble just for her.

Lukas blushed deeply, so overjoyed that this exquisite beauty in front of him enjoyed his cooking so much. "Well y-you told m-me to surprise you," Lukas replied scratching his jaw as a nervous habit. Altisha smiled at him, not only was this wolf her savior but he was an excellent chef. Lukas looked nervously up at her, "hey umm... Altisha, would you mind uh... telling me about yourself?" Lukas asked slowly gathering his courage to at least try and have a normal conversation with her.

"Of course," she answered cheerily. "But first I think you should eat your breakfast as well." Lukas looked down at his food; sure enough he hadn't touched it. As Lukas started to eat the food Altisha recollected her life to him. She used to have a family but, like most people who had changed, they had shunned her when they found their daughter as she is now. She told him how now she lived with a small family of felines on the east side of the city. Curious Lukas questioned her more about this new family she had created, Altisha gladly answered all the questions he asked. Altisha was the oldest out of the four young feline siblings she had, the foster parents were full lion anthros. There was a set of twin lynxes, which had actually been twin sisters before T-Day. She also had a boy panther under in the family. "Speaking of my family, do you have a phone I can call them on? They will be worried sick about me by now."

Lukas pointed to the wall mounted phone near the kitchen; Altisha thanked him and rushed to the phone. Lukas picked up the dishes that they both had polished off, that was one thing about being a fur the increased metabolism meant you had to eat a lot. He cleaned up as Altisha called her family; a small yelling match was held as Altisha explained the events that had transpired yesterday. Lukas noted that Altisha was bathing him in an exceptionally heroic light. After some assurances that she was fine Alitsha placed the phone back on the hook. She looked at Lukas her eyes once again seeming to scrutinize his body, what she was thinking Lukas could only speculate. Unexpectedly she asked, "Would you mind coming to my house before we head off to work? I need to change."

Lukas too stunned for words nodded his head stupidly, she wanted him to go to her place. His heart raced, why him? He was nothing special, well at least Lukas didn't see himself to be special. "Umm... if you would just wait a couple of seconds ill go get changed," Lukas said stumbling over his own feet as he hurried off into the bedroom. After rummaging through his wardrobe to find something that was casual but still formal enough for work, he settled on a tight plain black t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He loved the shirt he wore, it showed off his muscles nicely but only if it was hit with the right light. He didn't hate his muscles, it was just he didn't like to flaunt his strength. Flaunting just seemed to get you into more trouble. As Lukas strode back into the living room of the apartment he caught Altisha with her back turned to him, her perfect curves ensnared his vision. Lukas found himself unconsciously sneaking up behind her, similar to how a wolf would stalk a lone dear. As Altisha came within reaching distance Lukas's arms wrapped around her mid section, drawing her into a warm embrace. A deep rumbling purr rolled through the feline's body as she felt the wolves' hands encompass her small waist. Her own small hand running up his neck coming to rest upon his lengthy canine muzzle, the two stood like that for several minutes. Lukas wondering to himself the whole time where this surprising surge of confidence had come from, usually he couldn't come within ten feet of a good looking woman without having his nerves kick into overdrive. But for some strange reason his nerves were calmer than ever, practically non-existent.

The tigress's purr had not stopped since the embrace had begun, her eyes were closed clearly enjoying the warmth of her guardian's body. After what seemed like an eternity the two parted, neither party really wanting to relinquish the others soothing body heat. Lukas still surging on his unusual burst of confidence seized Altisha's hand and led her out of the apartment and down to the lobby. As the elevator's slid open Lukas and Altisha were greeted with a disturbing site. The entire lobby floor was amassed with an ocean of humans, clad in pure white clothing. All the heads swiveled as the ping of the elevator resounded throughout the deathly quiet lobby, every eye focused on the two furs within the elevator. "Kill the demon spawn!" cried the mob, as they rushed in a frenzy towards the two. Lukas slammed the button that lead to the basement car park, the door slid shut agonizingly slow as they created a metal barrier between them and the murderous humans.

"Who were they?" Altisha asked, the fear in her voice and scent plain as day as she clung to Lukas's arm.

"Nothing good," he replied, knowing full well that the church had once again whipped up another frenzied crowd against the furred community. His mind slammed Telia to the forefront, he had to get her as well. Looking back to Altisha he said, "We have to go save Telie. She is in serious danger. Come on!" He said pressing the button that represented the floor his apartment was on. The elevator reversed its direction after it reached the basement, hoping he wasn't too late to save his little furred friend. As he reached his floor and the door slid open Lukas grasped Altisha's hand and dragged her along the hallway as he bolted to Telia's apartment door. As Lukas reached the door he bashed it in, frightening the mousy occupant. Without saying a word he lifted Telia onto his back, quickly pacing over to the back window Lukas peered out. "Can you jump well?" Lukas said spying the rooftop next to him being completely flat and devoid of life.

"Yes I am," Altisha said, worry creeping into her voice. "But why are you asking me that now?"

"The building next to us has a flat roof," Lukas explained, his adrenaline pumping through his veins at an all time high. "We can avoid those fanatics if we jump to it; we aren't far away or that high up from it. That and it's the safest way I can think of getting out of here." Lukas lifted the window sill and stepped onto the outside edge, seeing that his initial estimates were correct he beckoned Altisha out. Smiling with absolute confidence he leapt from the sill, Telia attached to his back. Landing solidly on the rooftop he turned to Altisha and signaled her to follow him. The tigress curled her legs behind her and pushed. Her powerful feline muscles propelled her out from the window sill, her lithe form sailed straight for Luaks. Bracing his legs Lukas prepared to catch the soaring tigress. Altisha collided with Lukas sending the both of them hurtling to the flat rooftop's concrete surface. "Are you all right?" Lukas asked, a pained moan escaping his mouth from the force of the impact.

"I am fine," Altisha said. Her eyes locked onto his, a sudden look of worry flashed into them. "Lukas you're bleeding!"

"Huh... oh... okay well let's get into the store first," Lukas said, pointing to the small hatch that was set into the floor. Slowly getting to his feet Lukas made his way to the opening, lifting the large metal door he motioned for the two girls to go on in. Telia scurried on in, Altisha moved more hesitantly. "Don't worry, the owner maybe a human but his wife and daughter are furs," Lukas assured her, the worry plain on her face. He closed the large metal hatch behind him as he followed the two down into the building below.

"Hewwo who's dare?" sqeaked a small meerkat, standing in a doorway. The little girls face beamed as she saw Lukas walk into the light shed by the open door. "BIG BWODER WUKY," the cute three year old mammal squealed dashing up to and leaping into the wolves open arms.

"Hey Lilly is your mother here?" Lukas asked smiling down at the adorable little creature.

Lilly nodded frantically, squirming out of Lukas's arms she sped off to retrieve her mother. The clip clop of hooved feet grew louder until a large anthro cow rounded the corner; Mrs. Kenwitch had always been a big lady even when she was a human. The thing is when she morphed all the extra weight had converted itself into another set of breasts, this was common among all cow morphs even some goat morphs had acquired the extra endowments. Lukas presumed that the extra set was a substitute for an udder. "Oh... good gracious those horrible fanatics didn't get you," the kindly cow said, the warmth of her motherly voice calming down the trio. "But you tiger girl I don't know who you are?" she asked raising an eyebrow at Altisha.

"She is hero wolf here's girlfriend," Telia stated, piping in before either Lukas or Altisha could reply to the cow's question. Altisha clung to Lukas tighter as a male human came around the corner.

"Is that so," the man said slowly walking towards the small gathering. "Well it's nice to see you finally got yourself a girlfriend who doesn't detest male anatomy." Mr. Kenwitch said chuckling to himself, "come on Lukas let's gut that cut patched up"

Lukas nodded, the dull ache in his head starting to throb in pain now that his adrenaline was finally starting to lower. He turned to look over his shoulder to see Mrs. Kenwitch and Lilly ushering Altisha and Telia towards the bathroom. "She isn't really my girlfriend John," Lukas explained to Mr. Kenwitch. "I wish she was though."

"Boy with the way that tigress was clinging to you, I'd say your wish has come true," John said to the larger wolf. He lead Lukas into the small infirmary he had set up to accomidate furs, John was a veterinarian he also had also studied human surgery as well. That made him the closest thing to a doctor for furs. Lukas sat down on the small chair John thrust his way, "but I must say Luke you don't shy away when she grabbed you, was that because of adrenaline?"

Lukas shook his head vigorously, "No... I'm just not nervous around her." He watched John pull out some tools to stitch the small gash in the back of Lukas's head. "To be truthful I'm less nervous around her then I was with anyone else."

John chuckled, "well it seems that she is perfect for you, don't you dare let her go," he said moving around behind Lukas. "Now be quiet while I heal you." Lukas felt a slight twinge of pain as John went to work. "All right, done," Mr. kenwitch announced. "But it would be an idea not to leave this building for a while."

Lukas nodded; he knew that the fanatical mob would be combing the streets for all of them. He headed off in the direction of the bathroom; he had to inform the girls about the plan. As he neared the vicinity of the bathroom, he spotted Altisha in a room getting changed. Her soft white and orange fur was puffed out from toweling dry, his heart raced as his eyes tracked over her form. A blush flared over his gray furred hide. He knocked on the opening staring at the floor, Altisha squeaked in surprise at the sudden sound. "Um... we are going to have to stay the night," he announced. "I'm gonna go call Danail and let him know that neither of us can attend work, he will understand of course."

"Wait Lukas," She called to him as he walked down the hall. Turning around Lukas stared at her, clad only her underwear blushing profusely. "I-if we are going to spend the night here can I sleep in the same bed as you again?"
