In the pale sunlight of the December day the town was mostly quiet, as if the layer of white, fine powder snow covering the city in it's tender grasp had silenced all the sounds. Well, not all of them; the crunching of snow underneath two pairs of boots filled the air. The school was over for the day, having surprisingly ended at noon, and so Thomas and Robert were there, walking in the snow-laced streets. Each exhale from the two boys came out as a puff of steam. The first snow had rained at the fourth of November, the fall having gone a bit longer than usual.

During the four months that had passed, the friendship between Robert, Thomas and Gary had just gotten stronger.

Playfully Thomas bent down to grasp his paws full of snow, chucking it then on Robert's head with a chuckle, the fox's luxurious tail swishing in amusement behind him as the creamy bunny clad in a winter coat and the usual baggy jeans yelped in surprise, starting to chase Thomas down the street. With a daring leap Robert managed to knock Thomas over, the lapine immediately grasping a pawfull of snow which he summarily slapped and rubbed all over Thomas' face.

The two of them cracked into a hearty laughter, still laughing as they helped each other up from the snow-covered street.

"It won't be long until Christmas." Thomas said, kicking some of the powdery snow with the tip of his boot, watching it being scattered by the mild yet chilly wind before slowly drifting back to the ground.

Robert nodded. "Yeah, and the vacation starts pretty soon too. Got any plans for it?"

Thomas sighed. He didn't have any plans, no, but his parents had. Just like every Christmas for as long as the fox could remember he and his parents had travelled to the neighbouring city, over at his grandparents' place to spend the Christmas and the couple of days both before and after it amongst relatives. "Yeah...Me and my folks are headin', once again, to spend a SOOO joyous Christmas amongst relatives in the big, fancy house of my grandparents." He then said quietly, the drooping of his ears indicating just how much he liked the idea.

"It can't be that bad, can it?" asked Robert.

"You bet it can! Every single frikin' Christmas my uncle Theo gets totally drunk and starts to first revel in the memories of his youth, only to start fighting with my dad some time later. Couples of hours after that he ALWAYS passes out, thank whatever higher power there is for that. As for me...Not much to do save for the occasional conversations with my two cousins, but since they are both girls and relatives, I can't be bothered to be interested in their subjects for long." The fox said, sending more snow into air with the tip of his boot.

Robert put his gloved paw on Thomas' shoulder, squeezing it a little bit to show he understood. "Sorry to hear that, man..." The two of them walked on in silence, neither of them coming up with much anything to say until Robert got an idea. "Hey..." he began "Why don't you spend the Christmas with me and my mom?"

"Huh?"

Robert's face split into a smile. The thought seemed good and reasonable to him at least. "Yeah, I bet my mom wouldn't mind to have a bit more company in the house, especially since our relatives -those that are alive- are too far away now that we live in here."

Thomas' ears perked up, a small smile curling on his lips, too, as he thought about it. "Sounds good." Once more his ears started to hang low. "...but I doubt my parents will let me break the family tradition."

The rest of the trip to Robert's place went in silence, the crunching of snow the only sound once again.

The first thing Robert's mother did as the two cold, slightly shivering boys entered the house was to seat them both in the kitchen and serve them both big mugs of hot chocolate, which the boys eagerly accepted. Robert pressed the steaming mug against his cheeks first to get some feeling back whilst Thomas warmed his fingers with his paws firmly held around the white mug.

"It sure took long for the winter to come, but it sure is a cold one." Miranda said, standing next to the kitchen table with her hands on her denim-clad hips. The tight jeans combined with the form-fitting top only ever made her look that much more gorgeous, revealing all to well the nigh perfect curves of her body. Robert snickered as he caught Thomas blushing after the fox had apparently realised he had been staring at her, though Miranda either didn't notice or acted like she hadn't.

Having finished drinking the hot chocolate Thomas and Robert headed for Robert's room, the bunny leading the way up the quite steep stairs. Hearing a strange, fast-paced ruckus from behind him, Robert turned his head to see Thomas climbing the stairs up on all fours. Robert couldn't help but laugh, commenting then "I hope you are housebroken."

Straightening himself up the fox grinned quite toothily "Don't worry, I am."

Since they had no homework to speak of for the following day, the enthusiasm for teachers to check them having fallen exponentially the closer the Christmas break drew, they had the entire day with nothing to do. A quick surf through the channels revealed nothing but mobile games, news windows and even more mobile games so, eventually, the two of them started to play Romance of Three Kingdoms VIII on Robert's PS2. Robert used a horde of his own, custom created officers whilst Thomas took control of the legendary ruler of the kingdom of Wei; Cao Cao.

It soon proved out the created officers were much more efficient on the field of battle as Robert's kingdom rapidly expanded, whilst Thomas' grew slower. After several hours of gaming Robert controlled almost the entire western half of China, the six north-eastern provinces being under Thomas' control and the remainder belonged to another historical general Sun Ce.

As the hours flew by the sun rapidly sank behind the horizon, the chilly wind gaining speed and bringing with it a blizzard. Thomas' heart sank as he looked out of the window. He knew he would eventually have to leave and go home, but the storm raging outside wasn't inviting in the least.

Apparently Robert's mom had seen the lousy state of the weather as there was a knock on the door before she came inside. "Thomas? The weather outside seems quite bad and I can't take it on my conscience to let you out into that storm." Leaning casually against the doorframe with her arms crossed over her chests she concluded "So what you say if you stayed here for the night? I'll call your parents and tell them you'll be safe and sound in here."

Robert and Thomas looked at each other, both of them grinning broadly before exchanging a high-five. A sleep over between the two of them usually meant a sleepless night spent listening to music, talking and playing games.

"Yeah, sure, I'd be glad to stay over here." Thomas replied, receiving a nod from Miranda as a response before the female went away to make the phone call, closing the door behind her to give the boys some privacy and peace.

"Looks like we'll be having another sleepless night now, eh? From dusk till dawn once again?" Thomas asked, the grin on his face fading to a small smile, his tail idly brushing against the couch he was sitting on as it swept from side to side as a display of joy.

"Yeah, and we can sleep in tomorrow's english and history classes anyways. Stevenson is too proud to believe anyone could possibly sleep in his class so he'll just ignore us, and King, that old hag, is too old to see to the back of the class." came Robert's enthusiastic answer.

A couple of hours later a makeshift mattress-bed had been laid out for Thomas to sleep in, placed next to Robert's bed. There was a movie on the TV so, in the lack of anything better to watch, they kept staring at the screen, commenting the bad acting and the shallowness of the plot. Thomas sat on the couch whilst Robert had opted to sit on the floor for a change, leaning his back against the couch.

Thomas' head tilted in curiosity as Robert constantly kept stretching and massaging his neck and shoulders. With a small smile curled on his muzzle he asked "Got cramp from all the playing?"

Robert snorted and stretched his neck once more, causing an unhealthy crack to emit from it. "Yeah...seems like it."

The next question, asked in a casual tone, caused Robert to stop for a moment "Fancy a massage?"

"Do you know how to do it?" Robert asked, turning his head so he could see his friend's face.

Thomas shrugged "I've been massaging my parents ever since I was four, so I have a vague idea, yes."

As Robert shifted to sit between Thomas' legs, the fox couldn't resist the urge to fool around a little bit "Take off your shirt, makes this a lot easier." Thomas knew Robert was usually jumpy when it came to even partial nakedness around other guys. Clearly the lapine was very very self conscious, something which gave Thomas a lot of chances to tease Robert.

Much to the dismay of Thomas, Robert simply took off his shirt without as much as a word. Maybe the ache was bad enough for Robert not to object. Whatever the reason, it confused the fox for a moment before he was able to regain his composure. Slowly Thomas reached out to grasp the creamy-white shoulders of his friend. The slight shudder his touch elicited from the bunny made Thomas smile a little bit as he started to squeeze and rub at Robert's shoulders.

Robert had never thought it would feel that good to be massaged, the tension starting to dissolve almost immediately as Thomas started to massage him. Slowly the lapine's eyelids fell shut, his lips parting a crack to allow a long, relaxed sigh to pass between them.

Slowly Thomas worked his way around the bunny's shoulders and neck, the fox too feeling the significant decrease of tension in Robert. Not to mention the texture of Robert's fur felt good against his paws, much better than that of his parents, actually. In the TV some mushy, passionate moment was going on, the syrupy music the only good part in it, though Thomas didn't notice it. He was completely focused on Robert's shoulders. "Rob really needs to work out...He's got hardly any muscles at all!" Thomas thought to himself.

All of a sudden the entire house went black, the TV, computer and lights turning off as they were denied of their lifeblood; electricity. Thomas stopped his massaging, but still kept his paws on Robert's shoulder as if he had forgotten them there. A small frown distorted the young fox's features. "Did the power just go out...?"

"Looks like it..." Robert said, frowning too though neither of them could see the other's expression in the pitch-black room. Even the street lamps outside had died, leaving the entire neighbourhood in total, all consuming darkness of a winter night as the heavy cloud covering blocked out the light of stars and moon. A few moments later there was noise in the stairs, followed by light spilling though the bottom of the door before it opened. Standing there with a flashlight in one of her paws and a pile of spare blankets in the other was Robert's mother.

"You boys alright in here?" She asked, visibly relaxing as she got confirmations from Thomas and Robert. "It's going to be a cold night, boys...The house is warmed with electricity and now that the power is cut off, so too is the heating." Miranda added, proceeding then to dump the pile of blankets on her son's bed. "Stay warm you two. Because of the storm the power will most likely stay cut off for a while." She added before heading off to fetch herself some blankets.

With power cut off both Robert and Thomas agreed it would be best to just get to bed, the small flashlight Robert had in the drawer of his desk helping them quite a bit.

The temperature in the house did indeed fall as rapidly as the darkness had. Apparently whoever had done the insulation for the house, had done a shoddy job at best. Thomas found it hard to stay warm despite all the blankets he had both on top and underneath him. He did as best he could, curling into a ball with his tail tucked between his legs underneath the blankets. Looking a little up he more felt than saw Robert's open eyes.

"Feeling cold?" Robert asked in a hushed tone. He reached out for his flashlight, the small light of it illuminating the face of Thomas who had to squint at the sudden brightness of the light.

"Yeah..."

For a moment there was silence, before Thomas heard Robert shuffling in his bed. "Get up from the floor. I bet it's colder in there than it is in here."

Once more Thomas was puzzled. Was this really the same Robert he had gotten to know? "You sure?"

Robert hesitated for a moment, gathering himself before he was able to continue "Yeah, I'm sure. It's fucking cold in here and I've heard sharing body warmth is the best thing to do in a situation like this." Hurriedly the lapine added "It's not like I have a crush on you or anything gay like that so I would try to lure you into my bed."

Thomas burst into laughter "Don't worry...I've heard the same thing, but I find extremely hilarious for YOU of all people to ask another guy to share a bed. I mean...You're jumpy as hell usually when it comes to contact of any sorts."

"It's...a long story." Robert replied, the events of that one evening in the alley burned to the back of his skull.

Slowly Thomas stood up, feeling his way into the bed with his paws. He noticed Robert had shifted to the very other edge of the bed. Yup, it was still the same Robert after all, Thomas thought to himself as he slipped underneath the blankets. Lying there next to Robert, and with the two of them in nothing more but underwear and tee-shirts, made Thomas, too, more than just a bit nervous, the small size of the bed forcing them to lie quite close to each other which wasn't helping one bit.

"Thanks, Rob." Thomas managed to say quietly as he started to feel the effects of their bodies warming up the air underneath the blanket, the tingling in the fox's toes telling him he was slowly starting to regain his sense of feel there.

"That's what friends are for, man, so no need to thank me." Robert answered.

After a few moments of silence they wished each other goodnight and turned around, facing away from the other with their backs pressed together.

The power was still out when Miranda snuck into her son's room at 6:45 in the morning, since Robert's alarm clock wasn't working so she had to wake the boys up. Quietly she opened the door and slipped inside, pointing her flashlight to the ground. She quirked an eyebrow as she noticed the mattress on the floor was empty. Moving the cone of light a bit further she couldn't help but smile gently at the sight: Robert and Thomas huddled in the same bed, their noses almost poking each other, the steady, quiet sounds of their breathing a telltale sign of deep slumber.

"I'd better let them wake up on their own." Miranda thought to herself as she clicked the flashlight off and sneaked out of the room. "They might feel a bit weird waking up like that and finding out I actually saw that would make the situation just that much more awkward." However, Miranda couldn't help but think it looked kinda cute seeing the two boys -despite their age and the fact they were both boys- sleeping so peacefully together.

With a whump the electricity returned at seven in the morning, the TV, lights and all the other electric things in the house coming back to life. The commotion was enough to abruptly awaken both Thomas and Robert. The two of them simply stared at each other for a moment as they lied, face to face, on the bed. It slowly dawned to Thomas just where exactly his paw was: resting firmly between Robert's legs. Firmly enough, actually, for the fox to feel the form of Robert's sac and sheath through the thin fabric of his boxers.

"Dude...Is that your paw or mine between my legs...?" Robert asked slowly.

"I think it's mine..." Thomas answered equally slowly.

Their eyes flashed wide open and Thomas withdrew his paw from between Robert's legs and off the bed, resulting in him falling down on the floor. Luckily the pile of blankets on his makeshift bed softened his fall. Thomas shook his paw like he had just dipped it to pure acid, both of them almost shouting in unison "Oh god! Gross!"

Meanwhile, down in the kitchen, Miranda smiled. "Sounds like the boys woke up."

The storm had calmed down during the night and the snow that had fallen was already being ploughed away as Thomas and Robert walked, in silence, to school. Since the morning neither of them had said anything to the other, the shocking discovery of their wakeup having gotten their tongues better than any cat ever could.

Number one topic for discussion in the school was, of course, the blackout of the night. Many of the students and teachers had stayed up all night to keep themselves warm, resulting in quite a few pairs of bloodshot eyes and wide yawns. More often than not there was a dull thud in the lessons as one of the students fell asleep and their head hit the desk.

During lunch Thomas and Robert sought out an empty table in the farthest corner of the dining hall, both of them setting down their trays before sitting down themselves. Thomas finally broke the eerie silence between him and his new best friend. "Look...About this morning..."

Before the fox could finish his sentence, Robert interrupted "It's okay, we're cool, so no need to talk about that...ever."

Thomas fell silent again, his black ears dropping down a little bit. The rest of the lunch went in silence, but as the day neared it's end the two of them were in speaking terms again, as if the events of that morning were nothing more than a bad dream or a distant, awkward memory. One can't help but marvel what kinds of things a true friendship can actually endure.

After school Thomas, Robert and, miraculously, Gary -who had turned up into the school for the last two lessons- went into the local arcade not that far away from the centrum. The noisy hall was packed with furs of all sorts, each and every one of them either chatting with their friends or playing one game or another.

"Fancy a round of DDR with the usual bet?" Thomas asked from Robert.

"Just bring it, pup." came Robert's answer to Thomas' challenge. "Loser buys drinks to everyone."

The two of them inserted the required credits to the machine, both of them setting the difficulty on medium. Thomas, having grown in the town and having always been something of a free spirit, could do with the hard setting, having visited the arcade fairly frequently, but to him anything above medium was not dancing, just "pad-raping".

the song began, the coloured arrows gliding steadily over the screen towards the top. The fox and the bunny danced, their feet hitting the arrow-pads in almost perfect unison, their combos rising steadily with every consecutive step they took. The first track ended in a tie, as did the second one.

"We're even and only one track left...You know what this means." The slightly out of breath Robert said.

"Setting on hard and speed to one point five." Thomas answered. He knew he had much better chance to win than Robert did...

They settled with 'Land of the Rising Sun' for their last track. Just as Thomas had expected, his combo kept on building whilst Robert kept on making mistakes every now and then, Thomas' foxy agility and years and years of practise easily prevailing over Robert. Gary kept on cheering the bunny to try his best.

"Come on, Rob!" The kangaroo shouted "Show him what you're made of and grab him by the nuts with your skills."

The words, though being quite innocent to anyone around them, struck Thomas like a million hammers, his concentration breaking. The fox actually messed in his steps badly enough to trip over. Robert, on the other hand, kept on dancing as best he could, though Thomas swore he saw red flecks building on the lapine's cheeks. When the song eventually ended Thomas finally clambered up. The score didn't lie, Thomas had lost with one, measly fraction of a percent.

"Well I'll be damned..." Thomas managed to say.

"Aaaaand the drinks are on Thomas!" Gary shouted merrily, patting the shoulders of both of the dancers.

Thomas got himself a fanta, Gary wanted a diet cola and Robert opted for a mountain dew. Gary chuckled at Robert's choice "Dude! That stuff will shrink your nuts!" Robert and Thomas exchanged a slightly awkward look, neither of them saying anything as a response.

After the drinks the three of them spent the rest of their change playing the various games which littered the arcade. Gary did especially well with the shooting games, playing through the entire Time Crisis 2 with just one credit, taking only a single hit during the entire game. If the fat roo had to be given credit for something, the constant gaming had, apparently, developed his reflexes to a whole new level.

The next duel between Robert and Thomas was a 'best out of three' match in Soul Calibur 3. Thomas liked the slower hard-hitters like Nightmare and Siegfried, whilst Robert used the quicker characters such as Talim and Yoshimitsu. The match in Soul Calibur had never had any real bet on it. The two of them just wanted to test each other out to see how good they had gotten.

Time has a funny way of flying past with supersonic speed when you are having fun, and this time was no exception as the darkness once again fell rapidly like a black veil had been lowered after a show. Unlike the previous night, the air outside was calm and serene with no wind to speak of. The three boys each went on their own, separate ways at around eight in the evening, waving goodbyes to each other.

Thomas turned the collar of his coat further up against the cold. Now, alone again, as he walked down the winding, snowy streets of the town he had his own peace for the first time during the day. With his mind not occupied with school or gaming anymore, he found his thoughts wandering always back to the events in the morning; no matter how hard he tried to think of something, anything, else. He could still almost feel the outline of Robert's fuzzy orbs and sheath pressed against his paw, the memory of the warmth and softness he had felt through the lapine's boxers making his own pants tighten up considerably.

Angrily the fox swatted his crotch with one of his gloved paws. "God dammit...I'm no gay!" He thought to himself, a frown appearing on his face, deepening the more he thought about it. "And god damn all hormones too..." the fox added to himself, forcing his imagination to picture Christine Spinnet, a senior vixen, in her skimpy mini skirt and the usual pink belly shirt, both of which only ever enhanced her outright gorgeous body and her rumoured slut-like nature. Thomas was pleased as the memory of Robert didn't return, the picture of Christine like glued to his head.

Later that evening Thomas lied under the blankets of his bed and read a book. Reading in bed was a sort of an every day ritual for him, something without which he found it much harder to fall asleep. In a way, at least in his opinion, it helped him to unwind whatever tension and/or stress there was.

He finished reading the chapter he had intended to read that evening, placing a bookmark between the correct pages before putting the book on the floor; he'd pick it up in the morning when he'd wake up. The fox clicked off the light, darkness falling immediately into the small room.

Thomas rolled on his side, one paw under his head, and stared to the darkness. Slowly he heaved his feet to the floor, walking then over to his jeans hanging neatly on the back of his chair to fish out a couple of tissues from within one of the pockets.

Using only one half of his convertible sofa as a bed, the back rest of the blue couch formed a sort of a nightstand for him. Before laying down on the bed again Thomas put the tissues on his "nightstand", making sure he could easily grab one or more of them. Slowly he slid his briefs down his white and orange thighs, hooking his legs to his chin to get them to his ankles and, ultimately, completely away.

Slowly, almost idly, Thomas started to rub his fingers on his sheath, picturing Christine Spinnet inside one of the school's toilets, bent over with her panties halfway down her legs, eagerly awaiting for him to mount her. Still keeping his motions slow and gentle, Thomas wrapped his paw around his rapidly hardening sheath. He slid his paw up and down along the smooth, fuzzy surface of it, feeling his maleness rapidly hardening under the stimulation of his touch. Thomas pictured how he would breed with the vixen, his hips working rhythmically against hers.

The pink tip of Thomas' foxhood slid from his sheath, soon after followed by more and more of his length the further aroused he got, allowing him to shift from teasing his sheath to grabbing a hold of his slightly pulsating shaft, the fox sliding his paw along the meaty lenght as he kept on dreaming of the vixen.

Quite out of the blue the memory of the previous night and the morning flashed to his head; him having a pawfull of Robert's crotch in his paw. He could still remember clearly how soft Robert's privates had felt, much softer than those of his own even if there had been a layer of cloth between his paw and Robert's privates. Thomas felt puzzled as he delved in the memory, the paw with which he had been pleasing himself having stopped. Slowly, almost hesitantly, Thomas started to slide his paw up and down his foxhood, this time picturing how Robert would look completely naked, how the lapine would ask for Thomas to touch him again since it had felt so good the first time.

Thomas imagined himself slowly pawing Robert off, watching the bunny moan on the fox's couch without a strand of clothing on him, Thomas' paw gliding with slow ease along Robert's arousal. Much to his surprise Thomas found out he liked picturing the scene with Robert, imagining the lithe, skinny creamy-white bunny all sprawled up on his sofa, begging for Thomas not to stop, the lapine's eyes slightly glazed yet still filled with craving lust towards Thomas.

The fox had started to buck with his hips to his paw, the gracious amount of precum he produced, due to his canine origins, having long since slicked his paw and maleness enough to make masturbating effortless. Thomas' lips parted a bit, a soft, contented sigh passing between them. He started to feel the familiar numbness spreading from the base of his foxhood to the very tip of his maleness, a sure sign of approaching climax. His knot had slid away from within the restricting confines of his sheath and Thomas used his other paw to deliver a slight squeeze to it, instantaneously increasing the sensation of bliss quite a bit.

In his mind's eye he pictured Robert finally reaching his orgasm just as in reality Thomas came. Hurriedly the fox grabbed a tissue from his nightstand, placing the paper to the tip of his maleness as he came, the spurts of sticky, white semen staining the paper as Thomas kept squeezing his knot. Rising up the fox walked over to the litter bin and dropped the cum-soaked paper in it before collapsing back on his bed. Now that the hormone-driven sensation of lust was withdrawing as he basked in the afterglow of his orgasm, Thomas got a funny feeling. "Did I just actually paw off to the thoughts of pawing Robert off...?" he thought, feeling a knot starting to tighten in his stomach.

"Does this mean I'm...a faggot now?" the thought didn't sound all too appealing to the fox. "Rob would have my head if he knew what I just did..."

Thomas rolled in his bed for over an hour, unable to find the peace which sleep would provide as he struggled with himself, trying to reason away the odd feelings he had.

James rubbed his goatee idly as he stood in the snowy street just outside Tinpint, the place in which Tim was supposedly working. In silence the German shepherd watched at the light shining from the windows which consisted of several small blocks put together, the various greens with which the wooden parts were painted, along with the clover-murals he could see lining the walls inside, gave James the feeling there was something very Irish about the small pub.

The slight nervousness he felt started to mount up as he entered the small pub, the scents of bacon, eggs and sausages drifting from the pub's small kitchen drifting to his nose. Clearly the owner liked to offer something to go by with the beers and ciders served there, James' gaze immediately landing on the four taps lined behind the counter. The next thing he noticed was the bartender, William the Great Dane, who was slowly polishing a glass with a piece of cloth whilst watching the curling match coming from the small TV placed to the corner of the pub. The place wasn't exactly packed, but there were still quite a few patrons sitting in the tables. Some of them were dining, whilst others simply had a glass of alcohol in front of them. Much to the canine's surprise, the patrons were quite young. The majority of them were between 18-24 years of age, although there were a couple of elder furs in there, too, most of them sitting by the actual bar counter.

A little shyly James walked to the bartender. "Excuse me? I came to see Tim, is he working tonight?"

William cocked an eyebrow at the fellow canine, halting his work with the glass for a moment before leaning in closer to James "Aye...Tim is working tonight."

"Can I see him?" James asked.

"Show me some papers, lad, and I'll check if he's available." William replied, taking then the driver's licence which James showed him. He checked the date of birth and then nodded as he handed back the ID "Alrighty, hang on a second." Ignoring the shepherd's confused expression, William wrote another 'note' to Tim, handing the signed piece of paper to James before adding "Room 305, third floor, just tell him I sent you."

As William watched the confused canine leave through the other door in the pub, he slowly shook his head and mumbled to himself "There goes another one..."

James had no idea what the heck was going on. If Tim was working, why was he working home? He couldn't possibly be washing the pub's glasses in his own apartment! Reaching the third floor James looked to his left and right. Finally he headed to the left, stopping then in front of the door with the metal numbers 305. He knocked on it and stepped a bit back to wait for Tim to open. "And just what the heck is this piece of paper for...?" He thought to himself as he examined the piece of paper with nothing but William's signature and date on it.

Tim heard someone knocking on the door, the bull immediately putting the controller for his game console away and heading to open. He creaked the door ajar, an expression of utter, total surprise spreading on his face as he recognised James. The thing which surprised him the most was the fact the canine was holding the Note in his paw. "H-How did I find out what I'm doing?" He thought to himself as he stepped aside and motioned James to enter, snatching and pocketing then the paper from him.

Before Tim had a chance to say anything, James spun around on his heels, looking just about equally confused by the whole matter. "Tim? The heck is going on here, man? That bartender downstairs said you were working and I got sent to your apartment?"

"James...I think you should sit down for a while." Tim said slowly whilst shaking his horned head.

After James had done as he was asked to, Tim sat on the other edge of the couch. "I guess there's some explaining for me to do here. You see..." and Tim told the German shepherd everything there was to tell of his job, how exactly he had gotten it and of the deal he had with William the owner of Tinpint and the landlord of the entire building.

"So uhh...That DOES explain why you never come to any parties. You are having your own sweet time in here with anyone willing to pay the price." James said after Tim had finished. He watched at the bull sitting on the couch with his had hanging low, twiddling his thumbs. "So ummm...That means you're gay or something, right?"

"Bisexual, actually. It...kinda helps in the job, though yes most of my customers are guys." Tim replied, silently glad of his naturally red fur which his the fact his face was burning with embarrassment. James was the one friend he had wanted to keep in the shade about his true work, because he thought it would affect their friendship in a possibly negative way.

"Wow...Yeah, I'm sure it does." Came James' reply, the canine still being unable to quite understand the fact his possibly best friend was a gigolo. "I guess your employment means you don't get on too many dates, huh?"

Tim chuckled, managing to muster up a bit of a grin "Sometimes I'm asked to go as an escort with my clients, so technically that could be called a date...one which always ends up in the bedroom no matter how boring or annoying the person might be. I set the price and then do as I'm asked to, simple as that."

"Then I guess that means you have no 'real' social life, huh?"

"No, not really...It's also an advantage in this job to stay single."

James went silent for a moment, pondering whether he should or should not tell Tim. On one hand the bull had been honest with him, so from that point of view he should also be fully honest with the bull. On the other hand what he was about to tell might surprise the bull more than just a little. James' honest side won. "Tim? You know...I'm actually gay myself. Been like that since I was, like, fifteen or so."

"Huh?"

"Yeah...That's also when I lost my virginity, but that's a long story, best saved for another time." Holding a small pause James poked Tim's shoulder "And to think I thought you were a boring person who doesn't know how and when to have fun..."

Tim poked James right back on the canine's shoulder, a big grin spreading on his handsome, lithe bovine features "I'm full of surprises."

After a while, during which James and Tim talked about school, movies, music and everything else friends tend to discuss, the German shepherd checked his watch only to notice it was starting to get far too late considering they had school the following morning, starting at 8:15 sharp. "Damn! I'd better get going..." He said as he stood up. However he stood up way too fast, resulting in his head starting to feel dizzy as blood pressure there dropped for a second, making James sway little bit.

Tim watched James' swaying with clear amusement, knowing he himself was quite often guilty of the same, though it still looked funny when someone else was having those moments. "Alright--" he started, standing up too "--just be careful out there. This is actually quite a rough neighbourhood."

Standing at the doorway James turned around, smiling to Tim for a moment before pecking a kiss on the bull's cheek "And just how much do I owe you for that?" He asked in a playful tone as he backed out of the apartment and into the shadowy corridor.

"Well...First time is free, consider it a sample." Came Tim's reply, a small grin curling on the other side of his mouth, resulting in a lopsided grin.

"Trying to get me addicted, huh? Well...Take care, Tim. Be seein' you in school tomorrow." James said as he turned around and went on his way, his tail swaying slowly behind him as an indicator of his happiness.

Tim watched James and his tail vanishing down the stairs, the bull seemingly deep in thought as he leaned against the doorframe leading to his humble home.
