Chapter 18

Sora sat in her throne room with her tail lashing from side to side which was a clear sign she was annoyed. She has recovered 97% of her strength and the doctors said she was fine and could return to her duties. She was wearing her favorite kimono and the day was perfect except for one thing. She was bored. She missed seeing Ace make fools out of the palace guards. It was her favorite thing to watch. She remembered the last time he did. One the guards was trying to be funny and tried to trip Ace with his tail but Ace was smarter. He stomped on the guard's tail with all of his strength making the guard hold his tail shouting swears and other things. It was the funniest thing she ever saw.

"That's it. I'm going to help him. I am sick of just sitting here while he risks his life on our behalf. He can't beat Kira alone even if Athena and Venus help him." she thought to herself.

She went to her room and put on her battle armor. While she was packing her gear her lady in waiting walked into the room and noticed that her queen was in much stress. She was a female ocelot slave fur named Jane. She had a golden coat with black spots. She was well groomed and had a small GPS earring in her right ear. Sora originally bought her to be a companion and personal servant for Ace so he wouldn't feel too out of place on the reptoid home world but naturally he didn't approve of having a fur slave or any kind of slave for that matter. She later apologized to him for being so insensitive.

Unlike most of her kind that owned slave furs Sora treated hers very well and they show her absolute obedience in return. She only punished them when it was absolutely necessary. She even gave them their own rooms. When Sora offered Jane her freedom the young feline refused and stayed on as the dragoness's slave by choice. Sora made Jane her personal lady in waiting and Jane has never been happier. Jane was her best servant.

"Is everything alright mistress?" she asked.

"I'm just worried about Ace. I just need to know he is okay." Sora responded.

"You must care for him very deeply mistress." Jane said smiling.

Sora stopped packing and looked Jane.

"What makes you say that?" She asked.

"I mean no disrespect mistress but I have seen how you act around him. When ever he comes to visit you are always so happy and excited. You always look at him with such adoration. You never look at anyone else like that. And I think he would be a good mate for you." she said with a smile.

Sora thought about what her servant just said. The more she thought about it the more she realized that she did have did have feelings for him. Ace was always there for her. He saved her life and turned down every reward offered to him. He always treated her kindly. When Kira killed Hades and raped her Ace was there to comfort her and gave her a shoulder to shoulder to cry on but what won her over was when the reptoids slaughtered the fur on their home world with that dooms day weapon. All of the furs that survived looked at her with hatred and fear. They called her a disgrace to life. All of them thought that but not Ace. He never once blamed her. He never hated her. Even when everyone else turned their backs didn't he stood by and defended her. The last male that showed her so much kindness was her deceased mate Hades.

You're right I do care for him in that way but I don't want to ruin our friendship. Ace is my best friend and to ask to be more would be selfish. He has already done so much for us and for me...." Sora said with a sad tone.

I don't think following your heart is selfish mistress. Just tell him how you feel. Ace is a very nice male and I know you two would be perfect together. " Jane said smiling.

Sora smiled and pulled out a gold coin.

"Okay then I will flip a coin. Heads I tell him and tails I don't." Sora said.

She flipped the coin and caught it in her paw. When she saw what side it landed on she smiled warmly and gave the coin to Jane.

"What side did it land on mistress?" Jane asked

"See for yourself." Sora said

Before the ocelot could answer Sora was gone. Jane looked at the coin and laughed. It was her trick coin that had heads on both sides.

Sora turned on her com link. And an image of five lizards appeared.

"Captains get the fleets in earth's orbit and wait for my signal we may have to evacuate the furs." She said in a tone of authority.

"Yes Ma'am." They said in unison.

Sora cut the transmission and programmed her warp bracelet and then everything went black... When she came to she was in a ruined city. As she looked around the area she nothing but fur bones on the streets. She knew they were canine bones. She knew she was being watched also.

"I see you are feeling better Sora."

The dragoness spun around and saw Kira standing right in the middle of the street with his sword drawn and at the ready.

"I am glad to see you Kira. You saved me the trouble of hunting you down." she growled.

You speak with such confidence but can you back it up? He said calmly.

Sora pulled out her bow and shot an energy arrow at him but he was too fast. He charged at the dragoness and ran her right through the chest with his sword and pinned her to the ground. Sora just smiled and pointed behind him. When he looked and roared in agony as energy infused arrow cut straight through his body like a knife through a wet paper towel leaving a good size hole in his stomach.

"Dam you! That's impossible. I pierced your heart. You should be dead! He growled as he started to take a stance.

"It's called a mirage. All light dragons know how to create them." She said as her paw started to glow the mirage body disappeared into thin air leaving Kira's sword stuck in the ground.

Sora could tell by the way he was standing that his ankles were his weak spot and shot at his knee. Kira jumped out the way and shot a dark energy blast who countered with an energy blast of her own. The two attacks canceled each other out but Sora was two steps ahead him. She fired a second shot in the shadow of the first followed by an energy arrow. Both shots hit Kira right in the chest with so much force he slammed into a nearby building forcing the wind out of him. Kira's paw started to glow and he shot a blast of black fire at Sora. Sora spread her wings took off into the air at full speed but she wasn't fast enough. The black caught on to her armor but she used an energy shield and the black fire disappeared before it touched her flesh.

"Did you really think you could kill me with the same attack that my former mate invented!?" She growled.

Kira knew he couldn't win and disappeared. The F.T.S came into full view and flew away at full speed. Sora knew what Kira was going to do and she was the only one who could stop it.

"If that thing reaches the city this planet is finished." Sora thought to herself as she flew at mach 9.

She landed on the roof of the fortress right next to the main energy vent.

Good thing Ace taught me about energy weapons all I need to do is over load the power core.

Before she could go through with her plan Kira attacked her from behind cutting her across the back. Sora screamed in pain and fell to one knee.

"I have you know." Kira said coldly

"Don't bet on it." She said kicked out his legs forcing the dragon onto his back. Before Kira could move she shot 5 magnetized arrows and pinned him to the metal roof.

"Those arrows are magnetically charged. I had them made just for you. With your arms, legs, and tail pinned you can't take off your armor and you are stuck there until I decide otherwise." she said with an evil grin.

You're too late Sora the city is almost in range. Kira said.

Almost isn't good enough Kira. You have lost." she said with a look of pure hatred in her eyes.

Both of her paws started to glow and a huge bolt of lightning shot into the vent and over loaded the core. Kira thrash and flailed trying to get free but it was no use.

"Have fun Kira. Enjoy the fireworks" She said with another evil smile as she flew away to a safe distance to watch the fortress's destruction. .

"Dam you to hell Sora!" Kira roared before the whole fortress was enveloped in a large explosion and crashed into the ocean and disappeared under the water.

Sora let out a sigh of relief and flew into the city and sat on the edge of a building to rest. She looked around enjoying the sites. She knew that Kira probably survived but without the F.T.S he was only a minor threat.

"This really is a nice planet. I just might stay here for a while. But first I have to find Ace and my daughters." She thought to herself.

After a few hours of flying her caught Ace's sent coming from the outskirts of the town. She almost cried out of joy.

"Thank the stars he's okay." she thought to herself.

As she flew closer she could smell Athena and Venus as well. Tears of joy fell from her as she flew faster to their location.

Ace and Venus watched the explosion from their campsite while Athena and Chase slept peacefully holding each other.

What ever it was it's gone now." Venus said.

"Good. How do you think Sora will react when she finds out Athena is dating a human?" Ace asked.

"She might approve or she might not approve it depends. Ace someone is coming." she said looking at the sky.

Ace got on his guard while Venus woke Chase and Athena.

"Who is coming? Is it an enemy?" Chase asked.

Athena sniffed the air and smiled.

No it our mother. I can't believe she came to earth. This is great now she can finally meet you. Athena said holding Chase close.

"She is right mother is coming." Venus said smiling

After hearing what they just said Ace relaxed and put his swords away. He missed Sora dearly and he was glad that she was feeling better. Chase however was a little nervous. The last time he met one of Athena's parents it didn't go very well. Athena sensed his fear and wrapped her tail around his waste and pulled him into a comforting embrace.

"Don't worry. Mom is very nice. I know she will like you. Just be yourself." She said with a warm smile.

Chase nodded and started to relax. When Sora landed on the ground and she immediately embraced her two daughters all three of them were shedding tears of joy.

"Are you two alright? I was so worried about you. Kira didn't hurt you did he?" She asked with a look of extreme

Mother we are fine thanks to them. Venus said looking at Ace and Chase.

"Athena, why don't you tell mom about your new boyfriend." Venus said.

Sora eyes lit up when she heard that someone had captured her daughter's heart.

"Where is your boyfriend? I want to meet him." Sora said with excitement in her voice.

Athena smiled and motioned for Chase to step forward. When he did Sora's smile disappeared and was replaced with a serious expression. She walked up to him and gave him a sharp glare.

"So you are my daughter's new boyfriend?" she said in a serious tone.

"Yes ma'am." Chase answered nervously.

"Well then I only question for you." She said in the same serious tone.

"How many times did you mount her so far?" She asked excited in her voice and a huge smile.

"Mom you are embarrassing me." Athena whined.

I haven't mounted her at all ma'am. Chase said blushing.

Sora looked puzzled for a moment and smiled even more giving him a good look at her teeth.

Oh I get it. You like having the on top riding you. She said.

He is not legal mating age yet." Athena said blushing so intensely that her whole face was as red as a stop light.

Venus covered her muzzle with both of her paws trying not to laugh while Ace was on his back laughing hysterically. Sora looked at Chase.

"I can tell that you love my daughter very much and she feels the same way about you. You have my approval and my blessing. And you can call me Sora from now on okay." she said with kind tone.

"Thank you Sora." Chase said smiling.

Sora nodded and turned to Ace.

"Have you found Pyro and Thorn yet?" She asked.

"No I haven't seen them but Venus told me that she killed Pyro herself." He said.

"I managed to destroy the F.T.S and Kira went down with it but I think he is still alive. If he did survive he will be seriously injured and won't be active for a while and without the F.T.S he is only a minor threat." She said.

"That is good to hear Sora. I am glad you are alright." He said

I really missed you Ace. She said as she kissed his cheek making him blush through his fur.

I'll tell him when this is all over. She thought to herself as she walked back to the campsite to sleep

Little did they know that they were being watched.

Looks like it's time to give Ace his rematch. Thorn thought to himself as he moved in to finish what he started all those years ago.
