Gena and Jake, Matt and Jayden walked towards the heard, they didn't mind being approached, especially the Hadrosaurs, the Ceratopsians on the other hand displayed their frills whenever anyone tried to come close.

Jake leaned close to a feeding Parasaurolophus and looked its body over. it had scars every here and there, they where evidently an important prey species, but did a good job of escaping. He soon found the freshest wounds, they where scabbed over at this point and would likely scar. The bite wound was on the animals shoulders and back and below was a gash, perhaps just as fresh as it was also scabbed.

"What did it?" Gena asked and Jake shook his head.

They moved on to a Edmontosaurus, this one was a bit smaller than the others of its kind, perhaps younger, and had few cuts or scars, but had one prominent set of bite and claw marks and Jake quickly recognized them. "These are form my Dromaeosaurus... Or at least some kind of Dromaeosaurid..."

Jayden has walked over at this point "I found one with bite marks that i think are from the Allosaurus" and she started to look at the marks on the Edmontosaurus.

"any guesses, Jayden?" Jake questioned.

"If I was to take a wild guess" Jayden stated before a pause "Utahraptor perhaps"

Jake looked again and nodded "Perhaps... but I wonder how it got away?" and Jayden shook her head.

A loud crash startled the group and everyone spun to face the sound to find a pair of Triceratops locking horns, gently pushing each other. Jake let out a relaxed sigh "oh, they are sparing"

Night closed in and the heard stayed around, starting to settle down to sleep and the team decided to keep their camp here. No one took the night watch, they decided that if anything tried to attack, the heard would make some kind of warning calls.

Hours pass and its late in the night when suddenly a loud scream-like honk came out from the dark and the whole team jolted awake and jumped out of their tents with flashlights at the ready. The bright lights soon landed on a struggling Parasaurolophus and a Ceratosaurus, which let go and leaned away from the lights before stepping into the trees.

A member of the team started to approach the Parasaurolophus. He shined his flashlight on the wound as he walked closer. Suddenly the trees opened up and the Ceratosaurus dashed out, grabbing the man in it's jaws and running into the trees with him.

The team looked back and forth at each other and the trees, they swung their lights around, reveling the shape of three other Ceratosaurus, the team retreated to their tents to ready their weapons, in the few minutes it took, the pack has dragged off the wounded Parasaurolophus.

No one could sleep, they where too scared and stressed. Morning eventually came and it was time for the team to move, it was also time for the heard to move, however they weren't done here yet. A few looked at the spot where the Parasaurolophus that was taken slept and let out sad, mournful calls, desperate that their fallen friend would somehow reply. A reply would never come and the heard had to start moving.

The team was packed up and let the heard get ahead as it was going in the direction they wanted to travel. They had to leave their vehicles here and continue on foot.

The team followed the trail that the heard made, it was slow going, but better than pushing through the trees themselves. Around mid day, the team stopped for a break, however Jake didn't want to stop "c'mon everyone, this isn't a good place to stop"

"oh, and whys that?" questioned someone in the group.

Jake tried to see who, but was unable to. "A pack of Coelophysis has been following me since me and Gena left the boat, I noticed them but didn't want to scare Gena... Also we are on a game trail, you never know what might show up on here"

There was a soft thump in the distance and the Coelophysis pack raced by them, hissing as they did. Another thump. Jake and Gena started walking ahead. Another thump, slowly getting louder. The team rushed to get ready. Another Thump and they raced to catch up to Jake and Gena, who has lead them off the trail and into the trees, far enough that nothing big could reach. Another thump and around the corner came a massive theropod dinosaur, followed by her 6 foot tall chicks.

Thump. The mother Carcharodontosaurid sniffed and looked in the trees, straight at the team. "ready your guns" Jake firmly stated before the chicks raced into the forest, chasing the team into the waiting jaws of their mother, who grabbed two team mates at once while each chick was able to grab one each in the chaos of the team running away.
