Aden's Story Ch 4
#4 of Aden's Life
The next day I woke up later than I usually do. I'm usually up around eight-ish, when I woke up it was ten in the morning. I stretched, as I did I felt Tony pull me close and kiss my cheek "Good morning love." he said and I snuggled into him "Morning babe." I said yawning then nuzzling him a bit, causing him to purr a bit which in return caused me to wag my tail a bit. For a bit we just laid in bed watching tv. Then suddenly we hear a rumbling coming from Tony's stomach and I can't help but giggle a bit. "I guess we should get something to eat." Tony said stretching and getting out of bed. I look at him "Do we have to get up?" I whined playfully. I quickly got up as he started to grab my foot and pull me off the bed. I then followed him to the kitchen. "While you make food can I borrow your car and head home to get a quick change of clothes?" I asked and he nodded "What are you in the mood for?" he asked. "You know me, anything but eggs." I said getting Tony's keys off the wall hang. While I liked the look of Tony's Tahoe, I'm not a fan of driving it. I prefer my smaller Dart. I climbed into the driver's seat as I did I about fell out. After adjusting my self I started backing out of the drive way and making my way home. Even though it's only a ten minute drive home it felt like an eternity since I was thinking about last night. I pulled into my drive way and as I do I realized I didn't have my keys since I didn't drive yesterday. I went to the front door and hoped one of my dad's was home and luck was on my side because as I was about to knock Adrian opened the door. "Hey there kid." he said, I just looked at him, my heart racing and I hugged him tight. I was fighting back tear as he held me tight. "You okay?" I just nodded and held on to him. "I'm guessing things are good between you and Tony since you're driving his car." he said rubbing my head "You guys have anything planned tonight?" I asked, Adrian pulled his phone out checking and shook his head "I'm off at six and Jake is off at five." he said "I'll be home around then." he smiled and kissed my head "Love you." I said wagging my tail and replied "Love you too Adwian." He smiled as he walked away and I could see his tail wagging a bit. As I was going to the bathroom I stopped in Jake and Adrian's room and just smiled, it felt like them, it smelled like them. I just knew in my heart this is where I belonged.
I pulled into Tony's drive way after having a shower and changing clothes. "What are you making?" I asked as I walked in the door. "It's a surprise." Tony said stopping me from walking into the kitchen. "What ever it is, smells amazing." I said as I walked to the living room. In the room sat Tony's dad reading the newspaper "Hi Mr. Robinson." I said sitting down, the older slightly greying jaguar, who looked like an older Tony chuckled and looking over the top of his newspaper "Aden, if you don't start calling me Brian I'm gonna ban you from my house." I nodded a bit "Yes sir." He smiled and went back to his paper. Being the kid I am I pulled out my phone scrolling through social media. A few minutes later I was interrupted by Tony taking my phone and "Brunch is served. It's on the table." I looked over at the table to see my favorite dish, sausage biscuits and gravy. I stood up hugging Tony then kissed him "I love you." He smiled ruffling my head "Love you too." We ate in relative silence since we were both so hungry.
Later that day Tony dropped me off at home, as he was pulling away Jake was pulling in. I waited for Jake at the door wagging excited a bit. He smiled and hugged me tight and kissed my cheek smiling "I missed my Puppy." He said as we walked in the house. "I missed you too Daddy." After Jake changed his clothes and sat on the couch next to me and pulled me close "You feeling pizza?" He asked as I laid my head on him and I looked up at him "I would kill for some pizza." I said excitedly, my tail hitting the couch repeatedly. He giggled then ordered the pizza. "So any chance you wanna let me in on what was bothering you or do you want to wait 'til Adrian gets home?" He asked. "I wanna wait for Adrian." Then Jake giggled "Don't you mean, Adwian." I turned bright red, it was painfully obvious under my white fur. I playfully shoved him "Oh be quiet."
As it's always happened Adrian would come home literal minutes before the pizza was delivered. It's his superpower. We all sat around the table like we did when we actually needed to discuss something somewhat serious. "You've got us both here and worried, what's going on?" Adrian asked. I sighed and composed myself. "In the span of two days I run into Michelle and then a guy claiming to be my sperm donor calls me and knows my first and middle name. I had the idea of just going to meet him, treating it like a band-aid, just doing it and getting it over it. Tony had me at the mall, I chickened out at the last second and left. I wish I had waited and consulted you two. I'm just confused and scared." As I finished I looked to Jake and Adrian. "I'm curious to how he got your number, I don't like that." Adrian said and Jake nodded. "I don't like that either. It scares me." Jake said scooting over and pulling me close, I laid my head on his shoulder and sighed "Do you want to know him?" Jake asked rubbing my arm and I shrugged "Not really, he had all those years to meet me. He left and I don't care." I nuzzled more into Jake. Adrian stood up "You still have his number?" he asked and I nodded handing him my phone after bringing up the phone number. Adrian then put the number into his phone and walked away. "What do you think he's doing?" I asked looking at Jake after getting some pizza. "I don't know, but I feel bad for this guy. No one messes with Adrian's puppy, and he's got his lawyer face on." I smiled and bashfully wagged my tail. "I'm not a puppy." I said "You'll always be our puppy." I smiled and kissed Jake's cheek. A few minutes later Adrian came back "He wouldn't say how he got your number, I'm guessing he was just scrolling social media until he found it. He said he planed on leaving you alone." he said sitting down and taking another piece of pizza. Later that night we all sat around the living room watching tv. I was happy and forgot about my "parents" only parents I need are Jake and Adrian.
A few hours had passed, I'm snuggled into Adrian who had his arm around me and I was playing on my phone when Jake's phone went off and he looked at it "Huh, it's late for Aaron to be calling." he said as he answered the phone. "Hello?..... Aaron slow down, I can't understand you." Jake said, Adrian and I both sat up and were paying attention to Jake as he was nodding "Yea, just come over. We'll be waiting." he said then he hung up and sighed deeply "Is Aaron okay?" I asked whimpering. "He's," Jake hesitated "He's on his way and he'll explain." I was by the door, waiting anxiously for Aaron. When he knocked on the door, I opened it instantly Aaron practically jumped into arms hugging me tight, my heart dropped seeing this way. Yesterday he was in such a good mood and now, he looked like hell. It was very obvious he'd been crying, his eyes were bloodshot and puffy. "What's wrong?" Adrian asked as I walked Aaron to the couch and sat him down. "Derek's cheating on me." he sobbed, "He even admitted it's been going on for while too." Jake hugged Aaron close, letting the fox cry on him. The look of anger and shook on Adrian's face could be felt miles away. "Does Coty know?" Jake asked tentatively, Aaron nodded as he wiped his eyes and looked at us "He's the one who told me." Adrian got up "I need to make a call." he said walking outside. Jake and I sat next to Aaron holding him close. "Thank you so much you guy, I appreciate it." he said quietly.
A good while later Adrian walked back in the house, he looked upset and sighed as he sat in his chair then looked to Aaron. "Do you want anything to do with him?" Aaron just shook his head "I've had my suspicion, but I was to scared to ask." he said laying his head on Jake's shoulder, wiping his eyes a bit. Jake responded by wrapping his arms around the fox. "He said he's willing to let you keep everything, he just needs a bit of money to help himself get somewhere else. This can get messy since you two never got married." Adrian said "I'm willing to represent you over him. My brother is going back to his old self." he added rubbing his temples. "One question then I'm gonna go do some research. It's mostly for me but has he been drinking?" Aaron just nodded to the question. I wanted to fight Derek so bad, but I knew Aaron need me more. Adrian got up and went off to his office to do his lawyer thing. "You want a drink?" Jake asked as he stood up "Water please." he said quietly as I held him close after he switched between Jake and I. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door, making us all jump a bit. Jake got up to see who it was and then let in Coty. Aaron looked up at his son and got up and hugged him tight. "I'm so sorry." Aaron said holding Coty tight. "It's not your fault." Coty said quietly. I never realized how much taller Coty was compared to Aaron, the husky practically engulfed the smaller fox. "I won't let him hurt you again." Jake had gone off to make sure the spare bed room was set up with fresh dressings "Who ever wants the spare room, it's good to go." he said walking back into the room "Aaron can take it. I'll sleep on Aden's couch." Coty said. Aaron quietly got up and after hugging us all went to the spare room while the rest of us went to our respective rooms.
"Do you have any ideas why he did what he did?" I asked as I got a pillow and blanket for Coty who just shook his head. "If he was unhappy he hid it well. I want to fuck him up. He hurt Aaron. He hurt my dad." the husky said quietly then I sat next to him and looked him in the eyes and asked "How are you handling all of this?" Coty tried to look tough, then I saw it in his eyes, he just broke down and started bawling his eyes out, hugging me tight and I hugged him just as tight. "How could he do this to us? I loved him so much." he sobbed, "I wish I knew." I said quietly holding my best friend close as he bawled his eyes out.
