First Steps: Unintended

Okay this is my third instalment of my first series. Oh and I'm sorry if it isn't quite "flowing" I've had a major writers block. (Typical) thanks to Twist1 (he's Xerious btw) as he gave me awesome support as i was writing it.

"Hey thanks for the ride!" I called, waving my left arm to the panda that was driving the taxi which was already disappearing in a cloud of dust in the distance.
It was the day after the crash and even with a double dose of pain pills my muscles still felt like they were ripping themselves apart. I was discharged from the hospital earlier this morning and had just stopped for a small bite at the local Mc Donalds that was just around the corner from it. The large black wolven fur Taro Hofmeister was still in the hospital.
I fumbled with my keys that i pulled out from my shredded backpack that, like me, was involved in the crash. I have no idea how it got into its mangled state though. I unlock my front door, glancing at the half destroyed tree on my lawn that was (and around it) was cut up and retarded from the crash. Shaking my head i dropped my bag and walked straight into something. I whirled my head around, shocked. I instantly calmed down and sighed as i recognised the fur that was in my house. A little bit disgruntled I ambled past the fur and into the kitchen, mumbling a small 'Hello' as i went by.
Yeah, Xerious Wildstar was a very personal boundary wrecking guy. Where the hell did he get my key from? The Medium sized, toned, Black Panther was probably my best friend from my old school and was the only one that i had come out to. But then, how did he get in here? After getting a drink of water from my tap I growled playfully at him, "How did you get in here? Why ARE you even here in the first place?'
Xerious laughed at me as we embraced in a bear hug, murmuring into my ear ' I thought you'd be lonely without me."
I sighed, still hugging him tightly i replied 'no honestly X, how did you get in here.''
'Your mum was here when i arrived. Remember my dad lives in this area? I thought that i might move here as well. I mean, how could you cope without me? Oh, and i heard about the crash. Sounds painful.'
I nodded slowly and let go of the warm, quirky, black panther and seated myself down on the white leather couch that my mum had bought last week off the online store 'Trade Me' and said 'so you just decided to come strolling off down here? What about your girlfriend. Maxine or whatever her name is?'
He sat himself down next to me and put his comfortable, furry arm around me. 'I went off he ages ago actually and we've been best mates for at least 10 years, ever since primary school, you can't just leave like that.'
I smiled and leaned onto him, inhaling in his thick musky scent. Xerious Wildstar always seemed to be able to calm me down. For the rest of the evening i told him about my first day of school and about the wolf Taro and how he nearly hit me with his car. As i told him about it, he interrupted and said ' what a dick, he shouldn't have been going that fast done a small road.'
Naturally though I found myself defending the wolf i barely knew. 'X, I wasn't looking where i was going, it's both of our faults. Anyway, he's a nice guy, he showed me around school.'
'He still shouldn't have almost killed you though'
As the day drew to a close, we began to get hungry and decided to order some pizza. I received a text from my mum saying that she would be home late and that she was very desperate to see me as her work prevented her from visiting me in the hospital. After dinner, we set up a camp bed next to the queen bed in my room, so Xerious could sleep comfortably without being in another room and began to talk about random things, stuff that we did before we moved here, memories of our past, who we used to think was hot. Stuff like that. I told him, half-heartedly that i was interested in Taro Hofmeister and he rolled off his bed in shock. 'Really!? He almost killed you!'
'Yeah but that was in his car, i can just tell, he's a nice guy. I'd like to know him more. Though i bet after this, his girlfriend won't let me get near him.'
He sniggered softly, climbing back onto the camp bed, ' You met her?'
I grinned 'only briefly at the hospital, i was talking to Taro etc then he received a text and said to me that i should pretend to be asleep. I asked him why and he replied that his girlfriend was coming in and that she would have a spaz at me. So i did and man, she began ranting and raving about how i was an idiot. Damn, how can he stand going out with her?'
Xerious laughed out loud 'sounds like a bitch. I wonder how long he's been going out with her. Oh and this is kind of changing the topic here but, does this Taro dude blame you for the crash? Is he angry?'
I shook my head ' Nah he seems quite calm about it, he isn't blaming me or being mean to me or anything. He's a really nice guy. Taro said that he had been going out with Trima for about 3 months or something.'
'Trima? Damn silly name. Sorry mate, but it sounds this guy's straight.'
'Fuck you Xerious' i stuck my tongue out at him and rolled over in my bed, pulling up my warm, red duvet up to my neck, yawning. 'I'm really tired; i guess I'll see you tomorrow?' I heard shuffling behind me then the touch of a hand. X climbed into bed behind me and wrapped his arms around me in a spooning position.
'Hey' he purred, 'we're more than just friend's right?'
I rolled over slowly until my muzzle was touching his and casually licked it. 'I love you Xerious, you know that.'
He gave me a small smile 'I love you too Harlco. See you tomorrow'
'You too my friend.'
