Chapter 7: Fifteen Days
Bebe was speechless. She didn't know what to say or do. Frankly, she'd never been in this situation before. Should she walk over to him and hit him? Should she go wake Cane up, his precious sleep be damned? She couldn't just sit there with her jaw hanging open and do nothing. She rose up and bounded to the front where she stood blocking his view of the screen.
"You've got five seconds to explain yourself," she demanded, hands on her hips.
"You're a stubborn one," he answered plainly trying to see around her. "You were snoring."
Bebe scoffed. "I don't snore."
He was straining his neck to see the screen. "How would you know if you're sleeping? I lifted your head so you'd stop."
"Don't you think that's a bit rude?"
"Snoring during a movie is a bit rude."
Incredulous, her fist fell hard against his shoulder.
"Ouch," he exclaimed in utter shock. "That actually hurt."
"Next time, wake me up," Bebe snapped.
He rubbed his eyes hard and looked back up at her. Then he rubbed them again. Perplexed, Bebe moved slightly to let the light from the screen illuminate his face. He had deep, dark bags under his red eyes and heavy eyelids that only stayed partially open.
"How long have you been awake?"
The fellow drew his head back to think. "Wolf Girl, Phantom From Space, White Zombie, Curse of the Cat People..." he murmured.
"What are you doing?"
He held a hand up to quiet her and continued murmuring. "Outlaw of Gor, Tomato Army II..." Finally, he looked back at her. "Fifteen days."
"Wha...how?"
"It's quite easy, but I don't recommend it."
"I'm going to let what you did slide on account that you're fucking insane right now."
She hurried out of the movie room and back toward the dorms. Her key at the ready, she entered her room and shut the door behind her. "The fuck is wrong with this place?"
