Chapter 15: Revelations

Date: November 10, 2776

Location: Leben Metropolis and Capital, Wachter, Guardian Academy and HQ

Despite his protests in regards to taking a leave of absence during a time Lupin would need him after his surgery, Akutenshi agreed to take it with his group along with Cale and his sister, Mariah. When they had reached orbit they were requested by Grand Master Ardan to go to Guardian Academy and HQ, Memento Vivere. It had taken at least 4 hours to make the proper arrangements for them to be landed at the location and another thirty to reach Ardan's office. The academy and HQ where two seperate building joined together by a massive looming spire at the center. elegant tiles lined the floor with marble pillars lined down the hallway and windows letting the warm sunlight come in. Outside the trees swayed with the wind, their yellow and red leaves dancing off them. Past that was the massive metropolis, Wachter, with its towering skyscrapers and thousands, if not millions, of vehicles weaving in and out of the streets and the skies. Over the metropolis were five warships, three Pelzigan with their elegant curved designs, and two Human ships with their bulky but effective design. They opened a wooden door and entered a room which was lit with a holographic table displaying incoming reports and ship movements to and from locations within the HQ and parts of the metropolis. There stood a Human male, his pale white skin glowed in the dark, he wore a black uniform with the UGSM insignia on his left shoulder, his head shaved, his dark blue eyes staring at the Guardians. Akutenshi noticed who it was and gave him a proper salute. "Admiral Harper, sir, nice to see you again." He said.

The man smiled and saluted back then offered his hand back to Akutenshi. "It's good to see you too Akutenshi, how's the old man?" He said.

Akutenshi's ears flattened. "Captain Scheck is-"

"Captain Scheck is your father son, isn't he?" Harper asked. Akutenshi nodded in response. "There is no reason to refer to him as Captain Scheck with me. We've known each other for a long time, so please, between all of us in here, he's your father."

Akutenshi grimace remembering the memories of how Scheck had become his father. He had remembered a part of it a while ago and was not eager to remember anymore. It was true, by all legal means, William James Scheck was his father, he had raised the pup after the war took his family. "Understood." Akutenshi said at last after thinking over it again and again. "My Father is doing alright. He is onboard the Serenity and watching over Lupin. I believe he did submit a report to you, correct?"

Harper nodded. "As you know, genetic testing to try and infuse a Human with Pelzigan traits or a Pelzigan with Human traits is illegal as per the UGSM's Coalition Contract and Treaty. I told him to try Doctor Levin as soon as the procedure was done, however we have lost contact with him. Or at least that is the official story for now." He said to Akutenshi.

"What do you mean?" Haki said as he stepped forward from behind Akutenshi.

"Last transmission was coded directly to Palio, he forwarded it over to me. He was engaged by Admiral Whitcomb who has initiated Order Alpha One which is a contingent that was made by the Human Leadership eighty years ago that stated that in the event that the Pelzigan people would become a threat and attempt to attack us, we would initiate an order where all ships designed by both Humans and Pelzigans would, in a sense, deactivate. The onboard ship A.I. would then begin a lock down procedure with the remaining power to try and keep the crew from being able to jump start the ship. During which Human vessels would be deployed to board and capture the ships that had Pelzigan crews on board and to then transport those Pelzigans back to the Epsilon Eridani System. After that we would initiate a blockade against Leben and other key Pelzigan planets and attempt to force a surrender. If that failed and it progressed to Stage 2, it would mean we would strike at their major population cities and metropolises, primarily targeting military assets to try and weaken the Pelzigan forces. Now, this order was made along with Order Beta One which is the same thing except it is reversed. It was done in front of both the Pelzigan leadership and the Human leadership." Harper said. He looked at the groups almost shocked expressions and sighed. "It was a backup to try and save us from another war. A way to try and quickly end another war. Both sides have a plan like Alpha One. However it seems that, while you guys were out doing your jobs, Whitcomb planted evidence all over the place that pointed a finger at the Pelzigans for an attempted war. Of course me, Palio, and Grand Master Ardan got wind of it, granted Whitcomb allowed Palio to be a part of that inner circle of Admirals, granted it was all fake. Once he attempted to issue the order an alert was sent to me and the other leaders of the Human Race, we then contacted Grand Master Ardan and the other Pelzigan leadership officials and were able to find out the truth through us working together. Now the issue is Whitcomb has followers who have commandeered at least fifty warships and have taken them into hiding. As we speak the Human leadership has dispatched what fleets it can to try and find the fifty ships that disappeared. However there is more troubling news." He walked behind the table and sat down at a small stool that was connected to the table, and then Akutenshi saw GrandMaster Ardan walked out from behind the Admiral, his cain in paw as he walked up to the group.

"We believe Whitcomb may have some kind of pact with the Lothians. Upon our investigations we found several transmissions sent from his office on Earth." Said GrandMaster Ardan. "That is concerning. Whitcomb has the codes to bypass multiple defenses that surround Leben and all other planets. Granted now that we know of his betrayal, we are working hard on changing those pass codes. And thanks to Admiral Palio's role we have successfully detained a majority of the Admiralty that have sided with Whitcomb and they are undergoing interrogation." Grand Master Ardan was an old hound, his muzzle almost completely grey along with a majority of his fur taking on a grey color. His eyes filled with age and wisdom, glowing green at Akutenshi. "That is the troubling news. If he has then who knows what else we will discover about him. However we have put ourselves on high alert for the time. You father is now heading to the Epsilon Aurigae System to attempt to reach Miss Rinehart, his former wife."

Admiral Harper cleared his throat and Grand Master Ardan stepped aside and gave him the ok to speak. "As you know, Miss Rinehart was Captain Scheck's former wife whom he divorced prior to taking you Akutenshi as his son. She has since become an insurrectionist. She believes that the Human leadership is corrupt and that the Pelzigans do not care for Human lives. Her and her group of insurrectionists have since been hiding out in the Epsilon Aurigae System. The only reason we know this is because a scouting ship last year reported seeing her armada moving about near Neralith. The only reason why we have yet to attempt to detain her is because of the current war situation. Now, I granted Captain Scheck permission to pardon her from all crimes if she agrees to pull in her Armada to help us combat the, more than likely, attack that will soon commence against Leben. Admiral Whitcomb knows that as long as Leben stands, the Pelzigan race as a whole will not back down."

"In a sense," Said Akutenshi, a low growl in his voice, "cut off the head of the snake and the body dies." Admiral Harper nodded in response. "Then why are we here?!" He shouted at the Admiral. "Why the fuck aren't we out there looking for this bastard!"

Harper smiled at that. "Simple, why hunt Whitcomb down when we know the place he's more than likely going to strike is here? Why not set a trap for him?" Harper said.

"And what if he sets a trap for us as well." Miranda said. Harper looked at her. "If he's in coalitions with the Lothians, then we need to prepare for any form of trickery there is. Especially in regards to that unknown starship that attacked our ship a while back and was also involved in the battle for Aegis." She waited, and no response from anyone. "Another important question is, if you suspected Whitcomb of treason, why didn't you detain him sooner?"

Harper nodded to that, "Because, until now, he hasn't slipped up. We've had no evidence till now that he was performing Treason. We do have multiple warship fleets in bound to Leben from Earth however the Human forces are stretched thin to the war with the Lothians reaching our front doors over there. So, we do what we can for now. The reinforcements will arrive in approximately three weeks from now. Earth's forces along with key Human strongholds have been put onto high alert as well." He closed his eyes and then rubbed them.

Akutenshi nodded. "Then, why are we here? It's not just to get some rest and relaxation is it?" He asked.

Grand Master Ardan nodded. "With you here, our numbers are bolstered. We are currently getting all Guardians who we can spare to return back here in preparation for the fight. However we do not expect Whitcomb to make a move anytime soon now that he's let his plan slip out into the open. Chances are he will be hiding for some time revising and editing his plan, attempt to make it as deadly as possible while thwarting our plans to stop him." Grand Master Ardan said.

Akutenshi nodded and then looked at Lee, the young white wolf was nervous, his tail twitching and ears flicking about. He had seen combat but was still new. "Then, for the time, we will head out and try to relax but also discuss our own plans if you are ok with it Grand Master Ardan." He said to Ardan.

The GrandMaster nodded. "We must speak with General Powell in regards to what the Human Military can do in the meantime and we must locate General McCullin." He said. The four bowed to Ardan and then saluted to Harper then made their way out. Whatever was going on with General McCullin, it was outside of their area. However hearing news about Whitcomb made Akutenshi's blood boil. Him and Scheck had always distrusted and hated the man, and now it was reinforced.

They met up with Cale and his sister, Mariah, over at a nice restaurant that was on the edge of town with an unspoiled view of the beautiful blue sea of Leben. Numerous boats from modern age to a much older variant of wooden boats, glided across the water. A few people were on the beach having a fun time. Above them several squadrons flew over in a patrol pattern. Akutenshi took a sip of the Cola Cale had ordered him, he had told him to broaden his horizons with new drinks and so far, he liked the Cola. Bit of a bite to it, but was good. Definitely better than that Pepsi he was given to by his Father some years ago. Lee sat quietly drinking some herbal tea and just listening in on Haki and Miranda talking about when they had been dropped in the high mountains of Lorth, about six hundred kilometers away from this metropolis. Akutenshi listened with Cale, holding his paw and gently rubbing it and chiming in at certain points. Outside of the restaurant the streets were rather dead which wasn't unusual for this location. It was on the outskirts of the metropolis and was tucked away fairly well. The only thing it had going for it was the food, service, reputation, and the fact that you get a rather unspoiled look at the ocean. Akutenshi could remember the first time he and Cale came to this location, it was their first date and Cale was about half way through his training to become a mech pilot while Akutenshi was onwards to his last year at the academy. In a way, to Akutenshi, it held a special place for him. He looked over at Lee and smiled a bit seeing the shy Fox fox trying to act interested in the conversation but nonetheless wanting to just enjoy his tea. He was energetic most of the time, but he did enjoy relaxing. They continued their conversations for a while longer until the sun started setting then they all agreed to go to Tallywhackers, a popular club that was within the heart of the metropolis. Akutenshi wasn't much for clubs, the loud music annoyed him along with the people who tried to pretend that nothing was wrong with this galaxy, let alone this war. And the treason that Admiral Whitcomb had done was still stuck in his head.

He knew that it was reasonable as to why he wasn't caught until now in his trectory, that the bastard had managed to sneak his way around and do things without being caught. Probably used his own rank and prestige to get away with a lot of things without it catching Admiral Harpers attention. The way the ranking system for the Human's Navy did annoy Akutenshi to an extent. There were suppose to be at least eight different Admirals within their Navy. Each of them tasked with a sector to protect. Fleet Admiral Williams was in charge of Earth's defense force, Admiral Whitcomb was in charge of border disputes between Pelzigan and Human territories as well as monitoring the Epsilon Eridani System along with the Pelzigan command, Admiral Martin and Powell were joined together in the far reaches of the Human territory trying to protect it from Lothian advancement, Admiral Wilson was in charge another sector within Human territory across from Martin and Powell. Then there was Admiral Palio who was stationed at the Epsilon Aurigae front which was later lost and was then posted to assist Whitcomb in maintaining order in the Epsilon Eridani System and work with Pelzigan leadership, then there was Admiral Cole who was in the Kentara System still surveying planets with two other fleets guarding one single fleet of colonists, then Admiral Harper who was in charge of the lot and is to make sure none of them step out of line. Granted at this point, Harper had failed his job in trying to make sure Whitcomb didn't break any laws. Well, at least Admirals Martin, Powell, and Wilson were now detained and undergoing interrogation and punishment for their crimes. As for the other's, He hoped they'd find them soon. Akutenshi pulled out his datapad and started skimming through some of the reports that Admiral Harper had given him to read and saw that General Watson was one of the few who had joined Whitcomb's side and was now in hiding with two fleets, and General Ashton was currently being backed into a corner on Mars with his remaining forces and apparently putting up a good fight. General Ashton was always very strategic and knew how to hit hard and stay alive. He'd be problematic, as for General Watson, he was a coward. A man that would rather sacrifice his own personnel to survive and the fact that he now had approximately fifteen ships at his disposal, god knows what he will do. The question Akutenshi had was, who was the ringleader in all this? Was it really Whitcomb? Or was it Williams? He didn't know which, but he knew that sooner or later they'd find out.

Within the next forty to fifty minutes they had arrived at TallyWhackers and the pounding music, a mixture of drums, synthetic instruments and voices, came washing over him. It made him jump a bit. Cale was swishing his tail side to side already starting to do a little dance to the music. He turned to see Akutenshi kind of awkwardly walk behind him, ears down and that, for some odd reason, made Cale giggle at him. Haki was already rushing to the dance floor and starting to dance along with most of the crowd and soon Akutenshi lost sight of him. Miranda had dragged Mariah and Lee over to the bar and was ordering drinks for the three of them and they sat there drinking and talking with each other as Cale took him over to a nice secluded spot and then wrapped his arms around Akutenshi with a sly grin on his face.

"So handsome," Said Cale to Akutenshi, that grin starting to grow bigger, "Maybe we can have some fun here huh?"

Akutenshi's ears went back further and he could feel himself blushing. "W-what?! No. Not in a place like this." He responded back to Cale, placing his paws on the Husky's sides and swaying with him back and forth.

Cale gave a small laugh and nuzzled Akutenshi's cheek then kissed him gently on the lips. "No fun!" He said in a mock pouting voice.

Akutenshi laughed and pulled Cale closer into a hug and just let all the things that were bothering him wash away, the Admirals' treason, the fact that, at any moment, they'd be back to fighting for their lives. They enjoyed each other's company and just relaxed. Eventually they left TallyWhackers and went over to their small apartment that overlooked the Guardian Academy and HQ as well as a majority of the Metropolis with it's twinkling lights and vehicles zipping about down below and at mid-level. Akutenshi had lead Cale into the bedroom then kissed him deeply. As he did so he removed Cale's shirt and rubbed his paws up and down his back, feeling his muscles tense up and getting a low murr in response as they continued to kiss. Cale had managed to remove Akutenshi's shirt and then, somehow, while they were kissing, his pants. Akutenshi broke the kiss then removed Cale's pants as well, taking a moment to rub the growing bulge in his underwear. He then pushed Cale onto the bed and got on top of him rubbing against Cale. There were small gasps and both got equally excited until their underwear was off revealing both their hard, throbbing, cocks. Akutenshi panted a bit in excitement as they kissed more, letting their paws explore each other's body. Eventually Akutenshi brought Cale's legs up and positioned himself to enter Cale missionary. Cale had reached over to a small in-table that was next to the bed and pulled out a bottle of white lub which Akutenshi used on himself then smeared a bit on Cale's hole then slowly inserted himself into Cale. There was a gasp, then a moan as Akutenshi managed to fit all seven inches into Cale. He kept himself in there, all the way, enjoying the sensation. Then he looked down at Cale, at the several scars that lined his chest where an attack had taken its toll on his body. He gently rubbed them with his left paw then brought himself back down to kiss Cale as he thrusted in and out of the Husky. Their pants and moans matched each other, Cale rubbing up and down Akutenshi's sides and feeling along the edges of the scars that he, himself, carried. Eventually, Akutenshi couldn't keep it up and popped his knot into Cale, which received a loud gasp then moan as Akutenshi came inside of Cale. While they were knotted Akutenshi grabbed hold of Cale's throbbing member and stroked him until a stream of white, hot liquid shot out onto his chest fur. They stayed like that, Akutenshi's paw on Cale's cock, Akutenshi's cock inside Cale, the knot fully swollen, and they stared into each others eyes.

Akutenshi smiled then kissed Cale gently then whispered into his right ear, "I love you hon."

Cale smiled and responded, "I know." He then kissed him more. Eventually the knot popped out and they laid in bed, Akutenshi spooning Cale, and they fell asleep.

.....................

There was a bright flash, the pup screaming and the mother holding the pup crying as the Marine fired his weapon several times at the attackers putting them down. "We need to go, now!" The Marine shouted.

"But, William, what about Everont?" Responded the mother as she stood back up clinging to her pup.

"He'll be fine, I promised I'd get you two out of here!" He shouted back.

"It'll be ok Akutenshi." Said the mother to the ever frightened pup that refused to let go of his mother, tears flowing down his eyes. "We'll make it out of here and so will daddy."

They made their way through the darkened building, William, checking and clearing every corner he could as he guided them up a flight of stairs towards the roof. It had taken them thirty minutes to climb all the way up, and the mother breathed a sigh of relief as a UGSM dropship came down from the thunderous clouds towards the rooftop. Akutenshi looked around the city, seeing buildings on fire with bolts of energy firing between spots where Marines and Lothians had taken position. A thunderous boom sounded and he screamed out of fear. His mother shushed him and gently rubbed his ears and the top of his head.

"Miss Ishimura, you need to get on board once it touches down!" Shouted William. Akutenshi could hear the sounds of explosions getting closer and closer. He looked up at the arrow head shaped drop ship as it decelerated and began to land on the roof when there was a sudden explosion that sounded just beneath them. He screamed and cried clinging to his mother as the building itself shook. "Shit!" Said William. The building beneath them continued to shake and then small cracks started to form on the roof beneath them. The drop ship had landed all the way and a door on it's side slid open to reveal two men, harnesses securely attached to their chest with tethers hooked onto a support rail, their hands extended outwards towards the three. William moved to Akutenshi and his mother and hurried them over to the drop ship as pieces of the roof started to fall inward. As his mother climbed in with him, there was another explosion, this one was almost on top of them. The dropship swerved with the explosive impact, the shield absorbing most of the explosion. William was face down on the floor, a piece of metal sticking out of his side and blood beginning to pool around him. He groaned as he slowly got up. Now the roof itself was falling apart and just as he climbed in, the roof vanished with dust and debris. He coughed up a few specks of blood as one of the armored men dragged him over to one of the chairs and the door slid shit and they were all covered by darkness. There was the sound of the ships engines rumbling to life and Akutenshi could feel it starting to climb upwards, towards the stars. He felt something wet dripping down his side, and felt his mother trembling.

"Crap, get us to the Resurgent! We have two critically wounded individuals!" Shouted one of the men as they carefully took Akutenshi away from his mother and then laid her down on the floor itself, a medpack next to the other man as they tore through finding bandages and gauze and whatever else they would need to help her. She laid there, breathing heavily, a piece of metal sticking through her abdomen, blood pooling around her as well. He watched, wide eyed, as they worked on saving her. There was a wash of blackness creeping in along his vision as he felt shock take him over, his vision also beginning to tunnel. Was she going to die?! No! He thought, tears streaming down his cheeks. He felt a hand guide him over to where Williams was and felt the man's hand rest on his shoulder. He knew the man was talking to him, but he couldn't hear him. Eventually he passed out from the shock of seeing his own mother laying on the floor dying. When he came to he was in a medbay, IV's hooked up into him and monitors beeping around him. He looked around for his mother, but couldn't find him. He realized that his paws were wrapped in bandaging as well as one of his legs and remembered that, when their home got hit, pieces of shrapnel had hit his paws and leg and he was crying out for his parents. He looked away from them and continued scanning the, when he realized it, crowded medbay. Doctors were attending to different individuals, some of them badly burned. One Pelzigan, he couldn't make out which kind he was, had his fur and skin mostly burned away, could hear him screaming out in agony then suddenly went limp and the monitors gave out a long, high pitched noise. He didn't see his mother anywhere. He started to cry again, hating the fact that he was but unable to control it. Where was his mother? Where was his father? What in the world happened?! He heard someone walk up beside him, the sound of a crutch clicking against the metal floor, a foot scuffing behind it. Then a gentle hand was resting against his shoulder. He looked to his right where the hand was, tears still streaming down his face and saw who mother called William. Then he remembered him, he had been fathers friend that he'd known for a long time. This man had come to dinner with them on many occasions, even to his birthdays and was always smiling to him. The man who got him and mother out of that horrible place when the monsters attacked. William was not smiling. Tears were building up in his eyes, but he held them back. He squeezed Akutenshi's shoulder tightly and then silently help the young pup out of the bed and walked him through medbay to another bed. There lay his mother. Her breathing was ragged, doctors standing beside her, holding her paw as she turned to look at Akutenshi. Tears running down her eyes as she reached out a paw towards him and placed it gently on his cheek and rubbed it.

"I'm so sorry dear." She said, her voice breaking.

Akutenshi looked over at William, feeling more tears coming out. "W-what do you mean?" He said looking at William still then looking at his mother.

William moved a bit and took a deep breath. "You're mother, she's not going to make it. She wanted to say goodbye." He said to the pup.

Akutenshi shook his head and shouted "NO!" He then hugged his mother tightly and cried out, "No, no, no, no!"

She rested her free paw again on his head and forced a smile. "Akutenshi, listen, we will see each other again someday. But you need to stay strong. I'm certain you'll make a fine young man. Know that..." She closed her eyes in pain and coughed. "That you'll always be loved by both me and your father. Be strong. William will take care of you." As she finished her words her whole body went limp and the monitors gave their long, high pitched sound, signalling that she had died. At that moment, Akutenshi's whole word shattered and he screamed for her multiple times until William picked him up and held him tightly, crying as well.

"Don't worry kid," He said, "I'll take the best care I can of you." He held Akutenshi tight, despite the fact that he was digging his claws into his uniform and shoulders.

..............................

Akutenshi awoke crying and gasping. Cale was still fast asleep next to him. He looked out the window at the moving city, the sun beginning to rise over the distant mountains. He wiped the tears away quickly with his right paw and sniffed then took several deep breaths. William James Scheck, the man that Captained the Serenity, was also his Father. He had been there since that horrible day. And Akutenshi didn't like the fact that he was out there, without Akutenshi by his side, getting ready for what could be a dangerous mission to go outside of the territory and get an insurrectionist group to help them combat the possible incoming attack on Leben. The pain was still there from that day, of losing his mother. He gritted his teeth in anger, and then looked at Cale and relaxed. He knew that his Father, William, was outside his reach, but he swore, for both him and Cale, he would burn the entire galaxy away to keep them from dying.
