Unknown Worlds: Always Dead

We all stand in different spots, our eyes staring into one another in the silence that follows. I yawned growling pleasantly to myself as my tail wagged suddenly. With my eyes darted from one dragon to another, I had wondered who among them would speak first and suggest their answer in getting out of this place. Whatever this place is after all. In case you guys had not noticed, we are all stuffed into a small box. It was crowded however and as a first, we were all jousting for space. Well, only the other four actually and a few seconds or minutes later, this is how we all ended up. I sighed to myself and shook my head, parting my mouth as I spoke to the four of them whose heads turned their way to me tilting their heads wondering what I was going to say. I had noticed that among the five of us, I was the first to speak. Not that it matters however and I stepped forth to them all, clearing my throat with a cough and rose my claw up into the air responding to them all.

"Who is actually going to speak?" I asked them, they all groaned and frustratedly threw their heads into the air staring upon the ceiling. This had angered me however and I stepped forth some more shouting at them so my voice was clear in their deaf ears, "Who will speak? Pitching in their thoughts into this boring room that we find ourselves stuck in?" "Can you shut up, Neriax." Spoke Zawar, raising his claw to his ear clearing it out while responding to me, "Your voice is driving me nuts." I growled to him and was about to counter speak him when Ajiro piped in asking the two of us, "Do we even have nuts?" "We did not bring any food on the way here, actually Ajiro," Salix remarked, holding his stomach. The rest of us did as followed and our minds were suddenly remembered how hungry we were since coming into a new environment. With all of us complaining and groaning all at the same time, I peaked my ears and heard Salix munching on something and digging his claws onto a plastic bag while our eyes turned to him. He gazed back at us in silence, wondering what we had wanted.

"Did you..." I trailed, Salix nodded in silence and revealed to us what was he eating. It looked like a dead chicken. Something that he had probably killed while trying to get home. The chicken was also skinless as Salix had probably eaten the feathered parts of it. Saying nothing in response, I watched Salix while he spoke to the rest of us. "Do you guys want some?" "Yes," Zawar growled and lunged himself at him tackling him onto the ground while stealing the chicken away from him. Ajiro and Kesir joined in as well. It was a massive dog pile before my very eyes with every dragon fighting for the right to eat the dead chicken that Salix somehow brought in. with the constant fighting and shouting entering into my ears, I roared out in anger and the four stopped their fighting among themselves. Narrowing my eyes at them, I bear my fangs and snarled responding to them in a low manor voice, "Why are we fighting among ourselves like savaged hungry beast looking for dinner?" "Actually..." Ajiro corrected, "We are that 'hungry beast looking for dinner'" "Not helping Ajiro..." Salix whispered to her ear while I went on.

I chew on them for a few seconds or more; speaking about nonsense that came from my mouth. But to me, it kinda almost looked like as if I knew what I was talking about. After that speech, it went silent and my stomach growled rumbling while I held it with my claws. Whimpering in response, I heard Salix's footsteps coming forth to me. I turned to him in response, wondering what he had wanted this time. As I saw his white tail glowed in the silence, I blinked and he spoke whispering to me "Hey brother... Listen up." "What do you got this time?" I whispered back frowning. He smiled at me and spoke, raising his claws as he pointed onto my tail and his "I have an idea." "And this idea is...?" I replied, raising an eye at him and his smile grew bigger somehow.

"We ditched this place by teleporting ourselves out of here." He answered. I looked at him and sighed to myself. For with a nod, I agree with his suggestion temporarily. We walked forth towards one another at the center of the room. With the other three watching us, Salix and me waited until our tails glowed pure white. When that happens, we flickered our tails and a bright white flashed before my very eyes. I groaned in frustration, tightening my fangs while my eyes sees flashes of bright lights. I was stunned for the very least, hoping that this would go off in a few moments in time. Though I do not have the time, I shook my head and glanced around. We were still in the box, teleportation did not work and I growled snarling. Unleashing my claws determined to release my anger against the wall behind of me. No one had dared to stopped me after this as I kept clawing the wall; making deep and shallow marks until I saw something. I stopped and took a step back while a flash of light emerged from the small hole and blasted to the opposing side. Zawar grumbled and crossed his arms, raising his eyes at me before speaking growling a bit, "Alright... So we know that there's a light." "Are we still in our home world?" Ajiro piped up a bit of a whimper from her throat as she looked at me with those big puppy eyes. I just shrugged, "I do not know." She pouted answering back.

I stared at the small hole again, hoping to know where we are right now. As I looked, there was nothing but a swirly purplish ribbon that flows freely in space. A couple of other joined in with the ribbon and they danced for a while, twirling among one another in rhythm before parting for the others. I groaned a bit frustrated and turned away from the hole. Looking inward upon the room that I was stuck in with four other dragons. I watched and they gathered at the center of the room, just sitting around. They looked at one another with their eyes, frowning and smiling were among their mouths while their wings flapped once or twice retaining the winds that swirled around our room. It was silent without their voices, but sometimes I dread to wonder what they were thinking of doing around this time.

Luckily however, only Ajiro piped her voice up. She brightly smiled turning her face towards the two other males while I joined in onto their circle. Getting up onto her feet, she spread her wings about. I wondered sometimes if she was going to fly on out of here. But she did not do that. Instead, she lowered her claws upon her scales and grabbed a red rocket. Grabbing hold onto the body of it, she scratched the surface with her claw which suddenly burns due to the rough friction of the floor. Then raised it up onto the small role that hangs underneath the rocket, lightening it on fire. We gasped in shocked while she raised her claw waving out onto us as if she was saying 'farewell'. We took covered then when the rocket started humming afterwards till it was unbearable for Ajiro as she hangs on tightly around the rocket, lowering her body so her belly and chest touches the surface of the rocket. Raising her eyes up onto the skies, she watched as the rocket then blasted off.

But it did not go as expected for her.
