The wind whipped through the air, catching my ears as it passed. I lent back on the wall and rested the cigarette in my hand as I exhaled the previously inhaled smoke. The darkness followed the street with street lights placed at specific points which lit, dimly the road beneath them. The end of my cigarette glowed a firery orange as I inhailed. I threw the cigarrete on the ground and began walking back to my house, My name is Luke. I was a tall, pyraneese dog. I had deep blue eyes and had lushious black tipped ears and tail. I was an average built dog. I had a slight attitude, I didn't like liars and I really did not like people who are homophobic... Because, yes, you guessed it... I am gay.

I walked down the street, my coat flapped in the wind as I took each stride. I thought to myself "well, there's nothing going for me anymore is there?". I occasionally asked myself these questions, and tried to answer them myself, and when I couldn't answer it myself I spoke to my good friend, Paws. Paws was a duo chrome red snow leopard, she was the best friend any one could want. She gave you the advice you need, and respected your opinion even though she disagreed with it from time to time. My phone vibrated violently in my pocket, I took it from my pocket and looked who was calling me, it was Paws. I sighed and pressed decline. I didn't want to speak to anyone, I really wasn't in the mood. I reached my front door, sighed and opened it slowly and crept in and upstairs because my parents were still asleep. I got into my room, stood beside my bed and slowly took my clothes off, I hung my coat on the door hook and returned beside my bed. I took my tshirt off, shook my self to let my fur free, I then proceded to take my trousers off, followed slowly by my boxers. I stood there for a moment enjoying nothing on my fur, I climbed into bed and layed there with my head on the pillow. I looked up at the ceiling which hung above me. I kept thinking to myself what Paws must have thought when I declined her call, I turned to myside and stared into the corner of my room which was just black, I closed my eyes as a tear rolled down the side of my face. What had I done to lose such a precious thing in my life...

I woke up the next morning, the light shined down on my face blinding me as I opened my eyes. I sat on the edge of my bed and shook myself awake. I checked the time and I noticed it was 7:00am, I had an hour to get ready for school. I jumped up and headed to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and combed quickly the fur on my head to make it less stupid looking. I looked into the mirror, sighed and walked back to my room and grabbed a pair of boxers and put them on, I grabbed my school trousers put them on, and then slipped on a tshirt, followed by my school shirt. I grabbed my blackberry and checked for any messages, I had three messages from last night from Paws. I read the first one which read:

"Luke, Whats up? You declined my call last night!"

I replied to her text, short and precise as I was not in the mood for any social interaction even though I was soon to head for school.

"Sorry paws, had a rough time last night... I'll phone tonight."

It sent, and I resumed my normal morning routine of packing my back for the day and then I left for the school bus which came at 8:15am, I left my house closing the back door and then checking my Blackberry for the time, it read 8:00am. I had plenty of time, it only takes 3 minutes to walk to the stop. I sat on the porch and light a cigarette, I don't know why I started smoking, but all I know it was helping with the problems going on around me at the time. I stubbed out the cigarrete on the concrete path leading to the gate, flicked it into my neighbours garden and walked down the path to the gate. I closed the gate behind me and walked down towards the bus stop. I stood there, waiting for the bus listening to music on my blackberry. The bus turned up and I got onto it, greeting the bus driver and then continuing on the journey. We stopped a couple of times to pick up more students, it was the same people, same routine, sit down, ipod and stare blankly out of the window... Even if it was just a endless sight of trees.

We arrived at school and a stream of students flooded from the bus, I walked to the hall where most of my friends stood and spoke amongst each other. I joined the group, and was greeted by hugs and smiles. The bell rang for registration, and we all heading down the immensely cramped corridor. I walked beside my friend, Mark, he was a 6'2 siberian husky, white, with black spots that surrounded each eye, ears tipped with a deep black and also his tail. He had deep emeral green eyes, dreamy at that. We spoke about the usual morning things, and we barged past the people that came into our path.

We reached our form room, sat down on the chairs given and answered to our name. We sat in a group on the table, and we shared banter about the previous weekend, and things we planned to do for the upcoming weekend.

"So, Luke... What are you doing this weekend?" asked Mark, curiously.

"I doubt I'll be doing anything special this weekend, maybe just do some work or something..." I replied, not glacing either direction.

"Fair enough, I probably will be stuck at home this weekend" Mark said, as if answered a quesiton that wasn't asked.

The bell rang for our first lesson and we all walked off, down to our first lesson. Maths. I sat down at the table, took out my things and spoke to the person next to me, We mocked the teacher in what she was doing and continued sniggering each time she turned away to write on the board. The usual stabs at my sexual orientation were made by some of the people at the back of the class, I became used to these comments, not harsh comments, just the ones that make you want to beat the shit out of them. It's not like coming out in the first place was hard enough... We were given past papers to help us prepare for the exam that was looming closer and closer. I flicked through the pages, sighing at each question, ignoring it and moving on through the paper. The bell rang once again, signalling our next lesson... English.

Everyone walked out of the classroom, me and Mark decided not to go to english, but instead walk down town and grab something to eat. We reached town and headed for the chip shop, I ordered a large chips and shared them between me and Mark. We then heading down to the park, we're we sat on just talked about random things. Mark took my ipod, and refused to give it back, I looked at him, grinned, and then started to run after him. I was slowly catching up, when I slipped and fell ass first into a muddy puddle, I started laughing, looked up and saw Mark falling himself, in the exact same way I fell. I started laughing then ran back to the benches, where I procceded to drag myself around on the groud to get rid of the mud. I was returned my ipod, then we started to walk up back up to school.

Lunch time slowly came, and we began to walk back up to school to join our friends again and exchange banter in the events that just passed. I reached the group of friends, greeted each other with smiles and hugs. Narei walked passed, and saw Mark and I talking to each other and hug, he gave a concerned glance as I looked over Mark's shoulder, I released from hugging and completly ignored Narei. I returned to the group and began talking about the exams that were quickly approaching. The bell went, signalling the end of lunch, Mark went to his lessons, and I went to the hall to meet up with a couple of my friends who were studying.

I went into the hall and sat down in the just recently vacated seat. I heard Kitty mention my name and I glared at her, guessing what she said by watching her lips and she whispered to her boyfriend. She caught my glare, and stopped whispering about me and looked back before looking down at the floor. I knew what she was talking about, Narei. She believed that Narei was on a mission to steal her boyfriend, although to be honest. I doubt very much. Narei entered the hall and Kitty snarled, Narei looked over at me and signalled he wanted to talk to me.

"What?" I asked quickly, not looking at him.

"I-I just wanted to ask if we were still frie-" Narei asked, but being interupted.

"If we're still friends?" I asked with a quizzical look on my face "When wern't we friends?"

"I just w-wasn't sure thats all. You seemed to be giving me a really cold attitude lately." Narei answered.

"Well, you broke my heart... Of course I'm going to be slightly cold, but it's fine now" I said.

"Fair enough..." Narei said, looking around as if unsure where to look.

"In my opinion, we are more than friends ya know... We can't just forget what we have done together, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, nothing is going to be able to make me forget those memories. I wish we still had moments like that" Narei said, saddended.

"I know, I do too. But you're happier? yes?" I asked

"Yeah... I am. A-Are you?" Narei returned the question.

"Yeah, I really am. No more phone calls at 8. Man its a bliss" I answered with a wink.

"Oh very funny Luke, I forgo-" Narei tried to speak but was interupted

"Sorry man, I gotto take this call, I'll get back to you later" I said.

I answered the phone

"HEY! You coming out tonight?" Lucas' voice boomed down the phone

"Yeah man, deffo, you got anything planned en?" I asked.

"Yeah, Gonna hit the streets and get you back up on your feet! Nothing beats a break up more than sex man!" Lucas said.

"Oooo, sounds like a right laugh. Yeah I'm down bitch, as long as I'm not gonna be giving all night" I said laughing.

Narei turned around suddenly and looked at me, I turned to him and smiled.

"Look Lucas man, pick me up around 9 ok?" I asked, confirming the possibility.

"Yeah sure, 9it is! You better be fucking ready man!" Lucas said, then hung up.

I walked past the still staring Narei and tapped him on the back and laughed, I packed all my books up in my bag, and started to walk out of the hall.

"LUKE!" Narei shouted after me.

I stopped, and turned round.

"What now?" I laughed.

"You got plans tonight then?" Narei asked, quizzing me again.

"Yeah, and for once they don't involve you!" I said jokingly, playfully tapping him on the nose.

"Heh, I'm glad your moving on! Where you off to?" Narei asked, placing his paw on his nose before I tapped again.

"Just heading down to bottom block to say bye to Mark, wanna come?" I answered.

"Sure why not, nothing better to do... Everyone here is giving me the cold shoulder treatment" Narei said.

"What you get for hurting me, you know they're going to hate you forever now?" I laughed jokingly.

We reached the bottom block and walked to the room Mark was supposedly going to exit, We stood around waiting.

"So, who's this Lucas?" Narei asked.

"Don't worry about it, just an old friend." I answered "Not that it matters anyway, right?"

"No, it doesn't matter" Narei answered again, unsure where to look.

I giggled and returned to playing with my BlackBerry. The door suddenly opened and a joyful Mark ran out at me.

"Jeez Mark, what the fuck they do to you in there?" I asked, supprised by his mood.

"Don't ask" Mark replied with a wink.

"You a'right Narei?" Mark asked.

"Wha- Oh, yeah, I'm good thanks Mark" Narei answered, startled by something.

"Anyway... I've got to catch my bus now guys. I'll probably see you in September! No thanks to study leave." I exlaimed.

"Erm.. I'll walk you to your bus" Narei suggested.

"There's no need Narei, We're no longer bound any more ok?" I laughed

"I've got to go to reception, I'll see you guys" Mark said whilst beginning to walk.

"Yeah, See ya Mark!" Me and Narei both said in unison.

"Seriously? O'Comon, no more of that!" I laughed.

I began to walk to my bus, Narei walked beside me.

"You're adamant to walk me to my bus arn't you?" I asked.

"No... I am walking to mine..." Narei laughed.

"Very well... I'll see ya when ever man." I said, then walked faster.

"Yeah, September was it?" Narei laughed.

"Suppose so!" I shouted behind me.

I got onto my bus and sat in my seat. Yes, I did have my own seat on the bus. The bell rang for the end of school and a giant wave of children came running out of all the school exits. Then they all followed suite onto their busses. Ours was first to leave, which is unusual. I put in my ear phones and started up the music on my phone. I got a text on my phone, it was from Paws. It read

"LUKE! Heard about you and Lucas' plans!"

I chuckled and replied.

"Oh not you as well! It's nothing! Seriously, he's striaght as a fucking flag pole!" I replied.

I watched as the trees quickly whipped past the window, the raindrops flew down diagonally across the window joining with the other droplets, reflecting the little light coming from behind the thick dark clouds.

I got a reply to my text that read

"Ha, you'd be supprised... Especially when he's had a few... Why do you think he is so eager?"

The text triggered some thoughts, what she was saying was very true... Lucas hadn't spoken to me since he found out me and Narei were going out, and now we have broken up, he's suddenly making plans, phoning me up, and he did sound really excited...

I got off the bus, took out my phone and held down P, speed dial for Paws. Always made things quicker!

"Hey paws!" I yelled down the phone.

"A'right Luke" Replied Paws.

"Sorry about not answering last night, had a few things on my mind..." I said.

"It's fine, just remember if you need to talk to anyone, you know how to contact me... Ok?" Paws reassured.

"Yeah yeah, I know! So, whats this about Lucas then?" I laughed.

"Ohhh, if you're sticking to your plans about going out tonight with Lucas, I am not saying anything, It will be your supprise" Paws said.

"You're just pulling my leg, just because you know I really like him" I sighed.

"Is it just you he's invited...?" Paws asked.

"Y-Yes?" I replied, concerned.

"Get it yet?" Paws laughed.

"Oh... Damn..." I stuttered.

"yeah, have fun tonight Luke! I gotto go now, Boss going ape shit! Speak later on msn!" Paws said, then quickly hanging up.

I reached my back door of the house and stepped inside. Headed up to my room and took my bag off. I stood beside my bed and just fell onto it laughing.

The time passed quickly, and soon enough it was nine o' clock, I had changed into a smart pair of skinny jeans and a black and pink t-shirt. I heard a car horn outside, I quickly looked out of the window and I saw Lucas, sitting in his car waiting. I ran down stairs, put shoes on and then flew out the door, down the path and into his car.

Lucas was a coal black labrador, with white tipped ears and tail. His eyes were encircled with a gun metal gray fur. His eyes were a very deep, lushious blue and in the light they glissened and sparkled like a clear blue sea. He was my heigh, and was somewhat thinner than me. He wore skin tight jeans and tshirts.

"Yo man! Where we going?" I asked.

"Town, obviously!" Lucas replied.

We began driving, but, we were going in the opposite direction to town. I looked over at Lucas, pretended like I didn't know and looked back out the windscreen. We pulled up into a parking area, that over-looked the beach. We stopped in a parking space then Lucas turned the engine off.

"Luke... I have something to tell you" Lucas said, concerned.

"Lucas, I know... Or at least I think I know." I said, staring into his eyes.

A tear rolled down Lucas' face, following the countours of his muzzle, I leant over and wiped the trail it left behind off his face. Lucas looked down as if he was ashamed, I gently put my hand under his chin and lifted his head up so I can regain eye contact.

"Luke, I'm gay." Lucas said.

I was amazed by what I just heard, the moment repeated itself over and over in my head, each time getting slower as if going for ultimate slow-mo repeat of the moment like in those sport shows. Silence grew between us. Lucase returned to looking down at his lap.

I put my hand to his chin and lifted his head up gently, as his face met level with mine. I slowly leant intowards him and softly kissed him.

"Am I the first to know?" I asked softly.

"Y-Yes, but, only because you're gay and you're the only gay friend I have and that I was h-hoping that you wouldn't think differently of me. Please don't think differently of me... Ple-" I stopped Lucas.

"I am not going to think of you differently Lucas, You are one of the closest people in my life, well, closest as you can get... You've helped me through everything I have been through, you're a close competitor to Paws for crying out loud!" I laughed

"I was just really worried... Do you mind not telling anyone?" Lucas asked.

"I won't, but I think Paws already knew... She mentioned something about when you've had a few?" I giggled

"I told her not to tell anyone!" Lucas smiled.

Lucas looked down, then back up to me and softly asked "so, what do we do now?".

Hope you all enjoyed the first of a new series, I am sorry for not continuing the old series but I cannot continue writing that because, as you may have guessed in the story Luke (me) broke up with Narei. Yes, the previous story was a autobiographal based story.
