It was still a few hours before dawn as Fir walked through the nearly deserted streets of the city. He could still hear the sound of the battalions training on the fields, their commanders pushing them and preparing for the arrival of Tae'geth. Little did they know that the wolf was already past the gates, the half-dragon feeling the pit in his stomach growing when he realized that he was looking to potentially betray them. All he could do was work towards destroying the book while at the same time trying to signal that he was afflicted with the corruption they desperately feared...

"Trying to back out of our deal already?" the voice of Tae'geth said, the half-elf nearly jumping out of his skin as he turned to see the huge furred and scaled rubber creature walking next to him as though they were out on a stroll. "You know if you keep thinking like that you're going to make me want to head up to those mountains more and more. You wouldn't want that to happen, would you?"

Fir spun his head around and looked to see if anyone would see him before turning back to the corruptor. "I thought you were giving me a chance to work here," Fir hissed at the grinning creature. "You know that if I go within twenty feet of one of the magi and you're present in my mind that they're going to sense it, they're already on high alert as it is."

"Well if you aren't going to hurry up then you're going to end up exposing yourself much more easily than anything they'd be able to sense with me," Tae'geth replied with a chuckle, Fir looking at the gloating male in concern. "If you can see my presence that means that the corruption inside you is building once more... fairly soon you're going to start experiencing physical mutations."

"Already?" Fir asked angrily. "I just... relieved myself with Marrin about an hour ago, how am I going to do anything if I'm about to transform into a monster any second now?"

"I'll let that hurtful monster comment pass for now," Tae'geth replied. "Now I'm not here to make your life easier. Marrin was a gift for you to get started, but if you want to save your precious dragons you're going to have to put a little hustle in your step to accomplish your task. I don't think I have to remind you that if you fail they're going to either imprison or kill you, then I'm going to need a bigger army in order to take this city. Dragons do make such wonderful minions, and like the werewolves they're already halfway towards being 'monsters' like me."

"You've already made your point quite clear," Fir mentioned, slowly walking towards the corner of a building to avoid being seen as a small group of guards passed. "No need for you to get nasty about it. So now with Marrin back in my house and still nearly an hour away from getting to where the book is stored, how am I supposed to get to it and not become something that will be instantly killed on sight?"

"Looks like you're going to have to find someone else to 'relieve' yourself with," Tae'geth chuckled darkly. "You're lucky that I'm even giving you such an opportunity, most of the time once I get my hooks into you that's it, but I'm holding back as it were because you're being so helpful. Don't let me regret my decision to spare you... but you still have to satiate that lust of yours."

Fir felt his teeth clench, which made him become acutely aware that they had started to grow and sharpen slightly, but nodded in agreement before looking around for someone to entice. If Marrin was any indicator the combined abilities of his half-dragon lineage and Tae'geth's corruption made him particularly potent towards ensnaring others, which meant that all he needed to do was find someone. Unfortunately for him the only ones that were out and about were guards and soldiers, and even though he didn't want to weaken their forces any more than he was about to, he could feel those lustful urges continue to flare up inside him. It got to the point where he needed the next elf he saw, which as he turned the corner he saw walking through the streets as his jaw dropped slightly.

It was Amadus of Evermore, one of the leaders of an elven heavy archers battalion and a hero of several conflicts. There's no way that he could corrupt someone like that, but even though his mind told him it couldn't be done, he could still feel his tongue licking his lips. His control was already starting to slip and if he didn't do something soon he might regret it later. Despite his need he found himself regaining his composure enough so that he could walk up to the officer without showing his intentions. He also knew that Amadus had no magical abilities, and as such he only had to worry about his actions giving him away.

"Fir'Diril," Amadus said when he saw the half-dragon approaching him. "I'm rather surprised to see you at this time of night."

"Couldn't sleep," Fir lied as he attempted to keep his composure. "All this business with the corrupter coming has me on edge. Of course I think I'm not the only one with such an affliction."

"Indeed," the elf replied with a sigh as he crossed his arms. "I only have a few hours before my next series of drills and I've been spending most of them just walking around thinking about the coming storm. It's a shame that the innkeep left, otherwise I'd be taking everyone out for an ale, but if you would like a drink I do have something stronger that we can sip on and be miserable together."

Fir couldn't believe his luck that the elf had offered him such an opportunity, or perhaps it was part of the corruption that he was passively exuding. Either way he wasn't going to pass up the chance as they traveled the short distance to the officer's quarters. As they walked Fir couldn't help but watch the toned body of the other male move while he trailed from behind. It took every ounce of the half-dragon's willpower not to sport an erection while he moved, but he did manage to keep it under control enough for him to look normal as they walked inside.

The second that they stepped through that threshold, though, Fir was up in Amadus' personal space in order to corrupt him. It started out with simple gestures, a hand on the elf's wrist or the small of his back. Even though he tried to take it slow Fir feel the urges getting to the point of unbearable, the need maddening as he continued to flirt with the resistant male. It was clear that the officer was thinking more about duty over pleasure even as he poured them a drink, but the longer that the two were together the more Fir could see that his power was doing its work. Despite the initial reluctance he could see the elf biting his lip and subconsciously rub his groin while his eyes looked over the half-dragon's body.

"You like what you see?" Fir said when he was no longer able to help it. "You know all you have to say is you want this and we can have some fun. I'm sure your soldiers wouldn't mind it if you came back a little more relaxed after blowing off some steam."

The half-dragon could see that conflict in the elf's eyes as he bit his lip, still holding himself back even though it was clear that he wanted him. "I really shouldn't do this..." Amadus admitted as Fir stood up and began to move towards him. "I didn't think that I was this horny, though, and normally I don't even look at males because of my position... Maybe it's just your... exotic nature, but I really need to have you right now."

Fir could tell that if he didn't give the elf a little push he would probably spend the next few hours batting back and forth between the decision, so the half-dragon leaned in and kissed him in order to hurry him along. Though he wasn't sure how it was going to work he could tell the way that Amadus pushed his lips against his that he was going to be the dominant one. Still, he could feel that it would work and with the dam broken he let the officer take charge. He wasn't sure that they were even going to get to bed at this rate, but Amadus guided him towards it while continuing to passionately make out with the half-dragon that he so desperately wanted, Fir feeling the sheets beneath him when he fell backwards.

As their mouths continued to meet and their tongues danced around one another Fir felt the corruption surge within him, feeling another body and soul to infest. He began to feel his own tongue stretch out and grow longer, but the more their bodies pressed together, the more the hybrid began to feel the other elf's tongue do the same. The dark energy that had been growing inside of Fir quickly found an outlet in the lustful officer, and the more that they grinded against one another the more relief that the half-dragon felt from it. Amadus seemed to draw it out of him like a sponge and the sensation was so mystifying that it took the touch of the cock against his hole to realize that somehow both he and the other elf had somehow gotten naked during the process.

Unlike with Marrin, where Fir had total control during the process, Amadus was definitely the one driving them forward. The other thing was that he wasn't the greatest lover that he ever had, either; the male was over-eager and even with Tae'geth likely guiding his actions now the half-dragon grunted as he held onto the sheets while the elf ploughed into him. Every thrust that the big elf used to slide that decently-sized cock in and out, the more Fir could see the veins in his body pulse as they darkened. Even though he knew that he was watching a new dragolf being made he couldn't help but enjoy himself, feeling his body slough off the changes that had been taking place before he met him.

"Gods, you're tight..." Amadus grunted as he braced himself against the hybrid, though Fir knew that it wasn't his hole that was getting taut as he felt the cock that was thrusting inside of him grow bigger and ridged. It made sense that it would be the first thing to change, Fir thought between thrusts as he grunted loudly when the officer hit his prostate. One thing that he had gotten from his draconic ancestors was not only a healthy libido, but an extremely sensitive sexual arousal system, and that was being maxed out from the rough and passionate rutting that the elf was giving him.

After several more direct hits it was Fir that came first, though he could feel that with his clenching and the increased sensitivity of the growing cock inside of him that the officer wasn't too far behind. While the hybrid wondered if getting the tainted elf's seed inside him would cause a backlash of corruption, there was little he could do about it at this point as the other male hilted deep inside him as he came. It appeared that he wasn't going to have to worry about it, though, as he didn't feel any of the energy return to him as Amadus continued to climax inside him. Once both had finished with their respective orgasms the officer pulled out and flopped down on the bed.

Though the corruption hadn't completely taken hold yet Fir didn't feel like watching the creation of another of Tae'geth's creatures... and unlike Marrin he didn't really feel any connection to protect him, either, as he got out of the bed. He washed up and got dressed as quickly as he could while he crossed the room to leave, though at the same time he almost couldn't help but linger, watching in morbid curiosity. The officer had started to stir once again and looked up with blackening eyes that signaled the corruption taking root, and as he stood up the black veins that had completely spread through his body began to vanish, blending back into his normal skin tone as his eyes did the same. Before he had the chance to be spotted, though, the half-dragon made his way out the door.

***************************

At first Amadus wasn't sure what had just happened, his head pounding as he found his naked body still sticky with cum. He vaguely recollected being with another elf, strangely a male, though what concerned him more was the fact that he saw the time and realized that he was way off of his break time. That overrode everything else as he wiped himself off as best he could before putting on his uniform once again and running out into the field.

Though he managed to get there on time he could tell that his recruits were thrown off by his sudden and hasty appearance onto the training field. Strangely the entire time he was going through the paces of the exercises all he could do was focus on was his troops; at first he thought he was just watching their forms to make sure that they were doing it right, but the more that the drills went on the more he realized that he was looking at something else entirely. It reminded him of the hazy recollection of his encounter during his break, and though he wasn't aware of it the corruption that had rooted itself stealthily into his brain had already started to nudge him in the direction needed, rewarding him with small but meaningful bursts of gratification every time he looked at one of the other elves in a sexual light.

It ended up becoming so distracting that Amadus ended up calling the last training exercise early, telling them all to get some extra sleep because the next day was going to be even harder before he walked back to the barracks. Even though he could hear the murmurs from his soldiers he ignored them and nearly ran his way back into his office in order to get a hold of himself. When he got there he could feel the sweat pouring off his body, which prompted him to take off his uniform in order to try to attempt to breathe. Initially the plan had just been to take off his shirt, but as he began to worry that he had suddenly grown ill he hadn't realized he didn't stop until he was down to his underwear.

As he continued to pace back and forth in his office and babbling to himself he failed to hear someone knock several times at the door, nor notice when it opened as one of the soldiers peeked inside. When he heard the voice of the armored male stop short of asking if everything was alright it was like something snapped inside the elf's head, Amadus suddenly stopping and standing up straight as the flesh of his face and neck swelled as though something was being pushed up from underneath. "Didn't I train you better than to barge into a higher ranking officer's quarters?" he said in a low voice, hearing the elf stammer a reply before saying that he would go. "I don't think so recruit... get in here and shut the door behind you."

Even though the sight of his commanding officer standing nearly naked in his office was bizarre, the soldier didn't want to get in any more trouble than he apparently was. He stepped into the room completely and closed the door behind him, then told to take a seat. With the smell of fresh, corruptible prey in such close proximity the dark essence of Tae'geth quickly manifested itself, Amadus' eyes turning a deep black as he turned around to face the soldier. The other elf was looking down at the floor and tried not to look at his leader as he walked over to him, but was forced to look up at him and gasp at what he saw.

"Looks like I'm going to have to instill some discipline in you," Amadus said, though the words were slightly garbled as his darkening tongue slipped past his lips on more than one occasion. "Luckily I have just the trick to get you in line..." Though the elf had tried to get away his body suddenly froze as the hands that had been cupped around his pointed ears pushed fingers into each of them, quickly lengthening into tendrils that connected directly to the soldier's brain, Amadus watching with a fanged grin as their eyes went glassy. "Now drop to your knees and give me twenty sucks, and be quick about it. I have to start training the entire lot of you..."

***************************

Meanwhile Fir panted heavily on the stairs of the arcane academy that held the book he was after, black fluid dripping from his mouth and nose and sizzling on the stairs before evaporating into black smoke. He grimaced as he attempted to fight off the corruption as best he could while he continued to push his way forward, not willing to expend his affliction onto another anymore. Amadus had not been the last elf that he had to infect with the darkness Tae'geth had put in him, and with each subsequent conquest the time between relief had been much shorter. He had slept with the one that ran the bakery, one of the smiths, and two ordinary elves that had just happened to cross his path as the dark forces took hold of him once again.

"I don't know if you're going to get to the finish line at this rate," Tae'geth said as he mocked the struggling half-dragon. "To think that all that effort will be for nothing, especially with all the monsters you created tonight. I can only imagine that when the town guard comes for them that they might find little Marrin, too, and sweep them and you all away to the most secure, magical dungeon they can find."

"Curse you, Tae'geth," Fir growled as he managed to get all the way to the top of the stairs and stumbled his way through the front door. With all the guards out training for the oncoming battle he found the entrance to the arcane academy extremely empty. "They're going to find out what you're doing and stop you..."

"Hopefully not too soon for your clan's sake," Tae'geth replied before he disappeared, Fir hearing the sound of a door opening on the second floor next to him. Fir knew that if anyone saw him at that point they would know what happened to him without even needing to use a detection spell. He managed to silently make his way to one of the columns and scoot behind it, which grew even harder as his back started to hunch over from his growing tail. Fir tried to control his gurgling breaths as he glanced over at where the source of the noise came from. He quickly realized that it wasn't a guard, immediately recognizing the robes of a junior mage as Fir continued to hide.

Though it appeared that he didn't have to worry as the elf began to walk over to another door and didn't seem to notice him Fir's eyes widened slightly as the hunger washed over him again. Even though he knew that he could continue on and possibly find the book before he transformed completely, he found himself skulking behind the oblivious elf. His back and arms shifted with the sound of rushing fluid, giving the half-dragon far better movement than before so that he could stalk his prey more efficiently. Even though the corruption hadn't completely taken over his mind it had made the mage Fir's sole fixation, though he still had the patience to wait until the elf went through another door and took the light he had conjured with him.

When Fir poked his growing muzzle inside of the door he saw what the mage had been creeping through the night for, moving through the larder as he took morsels of food for himself. He was so distracted by his choice of snack that he didn't even notice that the corrupted half-dragon snuck inside and quietly closed the door behind him. What did cause his head to turn was when he heard the slight scrape of a wooden chair, looking around for a few seconds in the empty room before going back to the food storage. Once the elf's focus was preoccupied again Fir stepped out from the shadow he had hidden in and crept up behind him.

The next sound that echoed through the room was the clattering of his platter falling to the stone floor. Even before Fir really had a chance to touch him he could see that his mere presence was having a negative effect on the mage, watching the skin blacken where his fingers touched, making him pause before ripping the robes off of his body. Though the half-dragon was still overwhelmed with lust he still had enough rational thought to wonder what was possibly happening here as he brought his clawed hands to his face; the darkening skin on his fingers had fine, shiny black hairs growing around the base of his lengthening claws. When nothing else seemed out of place from the typical transformation he was undertaking he put his hand against the elf's face, his eyes widening in shock as it immediately began to bulge out into a muzzle.

"You see..." Tae'geth suddenly said, startling the half-dragon and causing him to pull back as the desire faded from him. "I could honestly care less about the destruction of that book, though I wouldn't mind it no longer existing, my target was far more elusive than that."

Fir fell back against the wall as the corruption in his body intensified, no longer held back by the smirking dragolf as he heard the elf continuing to grunt and growl as he writhed on the table. "I was your target..." the hybrid growled, wiping the black ooze from his muzzle as Tae'geth smirked at him. "All you were doing was keeping me busy, making me work on this ridiculous quest to keep me focused on my clan just to distract me so that your corruption could take root in my body."

"Well my plan wasn't simply to distract you," Tae'geth clarified as he sat down next to the slowly transforming half-dragon. "If I wanted to just turn you into a corrupted dragolf I could have sent a surge of my power through the psychic link and done so, but all that would have accomplished was creating a crazed creature that might have infected a dozen, maybe two dozen before the combined forces of the city would have come down and crushed you like a bug. That would have been such a waste of a prime specimen like you, especially since you had the means to resist my corruption enough until my plan could finally come to fruition."

The darkening eyes of the half-dragon widened as Tae'geth explained to him that for every elf that he had passed the corruption onto in the effort to get the book it distilled the dark essence inside him. He would get a corrupted elf out of it, which was useful in itself and especially when they could still hide it enough to get to somewhere to spread, but the real prize was that the corruption was strengthened as it refilled his body once again. The dragon part of his body kept it back long enough that he could get as far as he did, and now that the mere touch of his body was enough to cause it to spread he had no more need of Fir to continue on the farce of the quest.

"No..." Fir grunted as he struggled to get up and attempted to push the dragolf away, only to forget he was only there as a psychic projection before falling to the floor. "I... have to leave... get away..."

"I'm afraid it's a bit late for that," Tae'geth replied as he disappeared for a split second before he reappeared, sitting on a table while admiring his claws. "Like I said, I have no need for you to sneak around, in fact the sooner you get caught the better. So I've taken away all the barriers that I had been using to hold back the transformation of the others including the mage here, which means your cover will be blown in three... two... one..."

The mage, which had already shredded his robes to reveal the growing fur underneath his athletic frame, suddenly let out a loud roar as his muzzle grew in. It was a sound that could be heard throughout the entire academy and probably half the city, and the when the transforming mage was finished Fir suddenly heard shouts and yells coming from further inside the building as well as outside. That was the cue to leave as the corrupted half-dragon managed to pick himself up and drag his body out of the kitchen. Even though his previous bodily transformation had left his movement sleek and fluid, the fact he was trying to run from potential prey caused him to have to almost crawl, feeling his body actively rebel against him as the back of his robes began to tighten from the wings that were growing there.

With his inability to move at pace it didn't take long before the guards that had heard the loud noise reached both him and the mage that he had turned. There were loud cries of shock and alarm as the mages that were with them immediately attempted to subdue the beast, which after a few seconds he heard the snarls cease as they no doubt either froze him in time or imprisoned him in magical energy. The half-dragon silently hoped that they would be smart enough to do the same to him, though unfortunately all he had were a few guards that were standing around him with their spears drawn.

"Run..." Fir tried to warn, though he could hardly understand himself as he saw one of the other mages run up, this one he actually knew from before as he reached out to him. "Glen... stop... get them... away..."

Unfortunately for Fir his friend took his outstretched hand as a cry for help, the half dragon's furry fingers escaping his notice as the mage turned to the guards. "I know him, he's a half-dragon!" he shouted as he gestured for them to lower their weapons before turning back to him. "Fir, what are you doing-"

The mage's sentence was cut short as he grabbed onto the hand before Fir could pull back and was nearly knocked off his feet, screaming as he felt something magically vile immediately push its way into his hand and arm where it made contact. The guards immediately put their weapons back up as Glen continued to clutch his afflicted arm while wheeling backwards, his face frozen in a look of horror as his arm quickly expanded to twice its size and a thick pelt of rubbery fur pushed out of his newly-clawed hand. Even though he had backed away he could feel the change already pushing its way into his shoulder and chest, tendrils of darkness coiling up his skin as he shouted for the guards that Fir was corrupted and to kill him. As the breathing in the elf's chest grew quick he looked back from his still-growing arm to the warriors, who had remained still, and shouted at them asking what was wrong with them.

The already tainted blood of the mage turned ice cold as they turned around, their faces slack with a mixture of confusion and pleasure as they looked blankly at Glen. At this point Fir had slowly stood up, his draconic eyes completely black and shiny as he began to step towards them. With every inch that he got closer the guards bodies began to shake and convulse, their armor snapping at the belts as their bodies started to rapidly grow. When the metal plating fell to the ground with a clatter it revealed that all their groins were sporting increased bulges, a bit of shiny black flesh able to be seen from the straining fabric as fur and scale began to cover their bodies. The mage could only watch as Fir went up between two of them and placed his hands on their shoulders, kicking their transformation into overdrive as wings, tails, and tentacles immediately began to sprout on their growing forms.

Suddenly Glen felt his head tilt to the side and realized his own transformation had crept up the side of his neck and began to transform his head. He let out a low groan as it swept over the left half of his face first, feeling part of his jaw stretch out and his teeth extending well past his puffing lips while his ear grew longer and migrated to the top of his head. The mage also began to feel the corruption enter his mind, and as he tried to crawl away it went from a trickle to a flood, causing him to take his already changed, monstrous hand along with his still untainted elven one and put them against the respective sides of his face. He saw his reflection in one of the guard's highly-polished shields, one of his eyes a glossy black with draconic pupil while the other was still his bright blue, and though tiny veins of black had started to creep in, he noticed that Fir was content to watch the slow changes instead of moving forward to speed it up.

The other guards and mages that were dealing with the beast in the kitchen had heard them and ran out into the hallway, gasping as they saw Glen on the floor with his face half transformed into a mix of wolf and dragon, shouting at them to back away in a garbled voice. Though the mages took heed the guards did not, charging at Fir in order to try and save their corrupted kin. The mage managed to grab one of them by the ankle to try and stop him, but he did so with his already mutated hand, and when he did his eyes widened in shock as the boot he wore split at the seams and revealed a draconic food that spread out on the stone floor as its heavy talons grew in. Even as the transformation progressed and the guard screamed at him to stop Glen found himself unable to, his look of horror slowly turning into a smirk as he watched the growing leg sprout scale cascading up his leg before it turned to fur...

As Fir watched the chaos unfold around him he couldn't help but start to laugh, first a small chuckle before going into full-blown riotous laughter as the guards that charged him hard dropped their weapons as soon as they got close, clutching their heads as the corruption seeped into them. Those that had already finished changing into dragolves immediately charged the mages that had the sense to stay back, though they quickly dropped to the ground as they were hit full force in the face with a variety of magical spells that sent them crumpling down. Of course that served to be only a distraction as Fir used the newly grown blades on his wings to slice through the already-tearing robe, exposing his shiny rubber body, more specifically the tentacles on his chest as they streaked towards the mages.

Though one managed to get out of the way in time the two in the middle did not, the rubber coiling around them like snakes as they let out cries of surprise. It was almost comical to the half-dragon how the middle of their body grew swollen as fangs and horns grew out of their mouths and heads. When the other two mages made the mistake of attempting to channel through their hands and grabbing onto the tentacles to get them off they were met with a backlash that caused them to fly back into the wall as the sleeves of their robes tore from the rapid growth of muscle as their arms turned to those of the dragolf. Fir didn't take long with the ones that he had ensnared, and though he teased the tip of his tail across their expanding muzzles and more importantly those lengthening tongues trying to bring them in for a suck, he soon pulled back.

Fir moved forward into the main hall as the chaos of the outbreak of corrupted monsters spread, not only in the academic academy, but elsewhere in the city as well. He could hear the howls of the creatures that he had seeded, breaking through their guise as they rampaged through the city. While a few of them may get captured or potentially killed the majority would continue to spread, especially those that were slow transforms like the elven officer who was likely on his fifteenth or twentieth recruit. When he got to the main hall he saw their prime corruptor standing there, prompting him to bow to one knee.

"Master Tae'geth," Fir said as he looked down, only to feel the dragolf motion for him to stand back up again. "Your will is done and your corruption is spreading like wildfire through the city. By the time the sun rises again it will be on a darkened land."

"I knew I could count on you," Tae'geth replied, watching with bemused interest as the half-dragon that had so willfully attempted to hold him back and save both dragon and elf was now relishing being the downfall of one of them. "The horde is on the march but will still take a few days to get there so we can occupy our new city, which gives us plenty of time to discuss things..."

***************************

A week later when Tae'geth was seen on the streets of Deliro it was no mere illusion, the rubbery dragon flying down and landing in the square before folding his wings back and transforming into his werewolf state. As he looked around he saw that Fir'Diril had been very hard at work fulfilling his request, seeing the legions of former elves that had been training to defeat him now stand in all their corrupted glory. The armor and weapons they bore were all a deep black, filled with the taint that their bodies carried as he saw everything from nearly pure werewolves to anthro dragons, along with a few feral versions, to act as mounts. He went up to one and examined the special metal, smirking as he saw the craftsmanship of the elves blended with his own dark desires.

Once he was satisfied with his inspection, which included a grope in the sizable bulge contained in the equally black leather thong that a soldier wore, he went up the stairs towards the main hall of the elves. As he did so he could see more of the corrupted denizens out and about, savoring and celebrating the triumphant arrival of their new leader as he went. Eventually he saw the former half-dragon himself as they got to the main gate, Fir giving him a deep bow before they entered into the doors that opened for him. Already the elven artwork and statues had been taken down, actively being replaced by the artisans that had made them in the first place in favor of something far more fitting for Tae'geth, and the two of them walked through the carefully crafted atrium.

"You have done very well, Fir," Tae'geth said as they walked. "And I take it my other request has been fulfilled as well?"

"Of course, master," Fir replied with a nod. "As soon as we began to spread out of the arcana school I went and took the book as well as all the copies and burned them. Now there is no record of you or how to stop you anywhere in the land."

Tae'geth chuckled a bit and shook his head, something that caused the other corrupted male to drop his jaw slightly in surprise at the slight look of fear in his eyes. "If only that were true..." Tae'geth mused. "There is a reason besides the promise that I made to you when it came to not going after the dragons first. Even now with you having given me such a potent weapon I fear that it's not enough for the ancient magic of the dragons, and soon they will realize that Deliro has fallen and muster up their forces to attack here and scrub us all from the land."

"All I can say is that I'm glad it's not me holding you back from going up to the mountains to take you," Fir replied, the other corrupted creature laughing even louder at how eager the former half-dragon sounded. "I was about to tell you that I don't care what promise you may have made to me, I would have instead insisted that you go up there and make sure they know how wonderful you've made all of us feel. Are the dragons really that powerful that they could stop the horde that you have amassed?"

"Maybe..." Tae'geth replied as the two walked into the room that he was seeking, the sunlight streaming in through the wide windows on the back. "I have a few tricks up my sleep and a few more places that I would love to spread this exquisite darkness to, including the human lands to the south of us... though I'm sure the elves that fled here have already informed every neighboring area of my presence. But enough of the future... it's time that I do something that should have happened hundreds of years ago."

Fir once more bowed low, this time joined with several other dragolves as Tae'geth ascended the stairs that led to the back where a single chair stood in the backdrop of light. It was the chair reserved for the highest elder of Deliro, the de facto ruler of these elven lands. The clouds darkened and the sound of thunder could be heard rattling the glass as he finally reached the top, turning around and sitting down in it just as the last light of the sun was blocked by the sudden storm. As his body touched the rich honey-colored wood it quickly turned as black as the clouds outside as those that he corrupted cheered for him.
