The next, long-awaited chapter of Bloody Knuckle.

Bloody Knuckle: Impacted

"Let's make this fair" the rhino in the wife-beater said, before tossing his gun aside.

"Koda, I'll leave Knuckle the fuckin BEAST.. to you." he finished, and my blood froze. I looked up to the second story, made of only the first eight feet of flooring from the wall in.

I saw his ears perk, then his head appeared as he approached the railing to look down at us. His eyes were narrowed, and his body had an unsteadiness I would have been dumb not to notice. His fur was still jet black and had begun to grey toward the center of his chest and torso, he was armor-clad in muscle that hid his age, and eyes that saw me as a piece of meat, back when we'd met.

His eyes made their rounds, and when he found me he swund a leg over the bar, then dropped eight feet down. He landed solidly, hard enough to make his trunks slip but he still seemed loose enough to shrug that drop from his shoulders. Whatever he drank had to be some pretty strong stuff; I could smell it on him.

"Koda? You're workin for the Pazzieras?" I asked him, realizing he wasn't here just to get fucked up. Ronson glanced at me, then back at Koda. And as brazen as the bull is, he took a step toward.

"Heard about you. You were a pretty tough guy to beat, the way all that talk went. Then you lost to Knuckle, and you disappeared. But why come back now?" the bull asked. Koda didn't react though, and for a while it seemed like he forgot he was here with us.

But he shook his head with a little strength, then he looked at me.

"How've you been Knuckle? It's been a while." My breath caught in my throat for just a second, and when he spoke to me, I knew. He'd been stewing over his defeat for years.

"I'ts been a ride Koda. Pretty rough one. What about you?" I asked him, more politely than I was expecting to be. But when he processed my question..there was a tangible static buildup in the air. I could feel it on my fingertips.

"Well, Knuckle.. When I lost to the total amateur that was you, all of my sponsors bailed. My manager canned me too." Koda finished his statement, but a grin formed halfway through it. And I could sense an eager and..dangerous spirit behind it.

"You ever..beat off to rage, Knuckle?" he asked, and took a brazen two steps ahead.

"Nah Koda, I can't say that I have." I admitted. The rhino was off by himself, spectating. But I had an idea.

"Hey, your guys want their money? Tell em to back this guy. He's got chops, and the bettin'll make more than what they're askin for!" I said, and the rhino crossed his arms as he thought about it.

Koda was the one to make his opinions known first though.

"So.. A grudge match with you, one on one.. I'll beat you, and take that tail for the world to see." He said, nodding as it all made enough sense. He started to wander off toward the entrance as by now we heard sirens in the distance.

"I'll shame ya good, yep yep." he said, as the rhino gathered the heap that was his tagalong and the three of them left. Ronson put his hand on my shoulder.

"We gotta get outta here too Knuckley!" he said, barely frantic.

I sighed. This was something I didn't need.

Later that night-

"..Great opportunity here? This has to be a miracle!" Grinny barked. Part of me wanted to strangle him a little. Yeah, we have our chance to make it out of this, but..but why Koda? Did they search for him? What was he doing at the club? What happened to him after he lost to me? My head was swimming with questions that weren't gonna find their answers flyin around my skull. Ronnie stood posted up against a wall, his eyes to the floor.

"Koda isn't just some guy to "bash fists" with. I woulda had my chance to face him myself if Chaz didn't rematch me." Ronnie said. His shoulders heaved with frustration, an expression his furrowed brow copied.

"Yeah, he's the guy, the key to ending this. But..will it work?" Ronnie asked. His eyes shifted around, like he couldn't see the answer to his question anywhere near him.

"They'd be stupid not to!" Grinny replied. I stood up and paced around, feeling every ounce of this on my shoulders already.

"Are we really smart to do this though? Ah mean, we coulda avoided him and jus stuck to photos and all that.." I said, then stopped.

"Naw, he was there. That's the hill; that's the bump. Fight Koda, n'then get on wit' our lives." Ronson offered. But his eyes met mine and he made his way to me.

"I'll fight for ya Knuckle, if I could." he said, full of sincerity.

"It ain't about the fight, or.. I don't know. I wasn't expectin to see him again. And he's right to be mad." I said, and Ronson snorted.

"If he's truly the first one to lose a manager or two after getting his ass whooped then this whole "underground fight" thing is gonna knock him through a wall. He just doesn't have the way to push through. It ain't yer fault; if he died that night it would be on him, not you." He told me. And I wanted to thank him, but that lead me back to the truth that I'd have to fight him on my own.

"He was your first big match eh? Think he kept up with his training just in case he met you again and actually could challenge you to a rematch?" Ronnie asked me, as if he could read my mind a bit, because it was true: when Koda and I fought, I hadn't experienced a single match. Even now, after all that, I remember Koda as my true adversary.

"Don't worry. You got my beef to battle ya! And when you get stronger, so will I. And when I get stronger than YOU I'm gonna rub it in, you bet your hairy brown ass!" Ronnie said to me, steaming with confidence as he started shoving me toward the stage outside Grinny G's office.

"Heads up wolf! We got miles to cover!" Ronnie said, looking over his shoulder at the pit bull.

"I guess you guys need a place to train at, huh?" Grinny asked, sounding like a parent. I resisted Ronnie enough to get out of his reach, and I remembered our boss Horus.

"Horus might know of an area we could use!" I said, findin a groove to work this out in my head with. He likes fightin and fighters, so he might know someone willin to let us train there, since our place was torched and smoked.

"Yeah, but we don't know where he is.." Ronson muttered.

"Let's just take a drive around there. We might get some clue as to what happened to him." I said, but we heard another voice outside Grinny's office door.

That won't be necessary. Your employer is without harm." The voice said, then opened the door to let us look at him.

He was a white-haired wolf, with a white suit on, save an undershirt. He had on simple glasses, and he had sad, cold, blue eyes that looked at us from an otherwise emotionless face. The three of us stood there stunned, and raised a hand almost preemptively, like he could tell he was about to get jumped on.

"You're Knuckle, and Ronnie Bronson, fighters in the Underground. And You're Grinny G.." he said, addressing us all. Ronnie frowned a little at hearing his full name, and Grinny had a far-off look on his face when he looked past the wolf out to all of his pits...who were all seated and quiet.

"You don't need to worry about my intentions." he said, approaching us slowly and keeping his hands in view.

"Knuckle, my name is.." he said, then stopped.

"Call me E-Xander. Your manager was a friend of mine. I did not hear about his passing until recently." He said, and I swallowed a few harsh words. Chief's friend.. How did I not know about this guy?

"He told me a lot about you, Knuckle. You both had ambitions, and for a while you seemed to be headed straight up." he said sadly. I stood there, not knowing what to do with this information. Ronson put a hand on my shoulder and stepped past me.

"How the hell'd you find us then?" he asked, and that seemed to make the wolf light up.

"I'm a private investigator. Or, was. I used to be a member of the police here, with a friend of mine. He and I picked up the then underage heir to the Pazziera family, and they ambushed us. My friend.. His body was never recovered." He said, and I could tell this guy had a grudge to bear as well.

"And you wanna help us.."

"I want to help you because they've now taken TWO friends from me. And the one we share.." he said, looking at me.

"The one we share was a light the world needed." he said.

Two days later..

I had spent the last few days on a schedule. Eating better than I'd been, sparring with Ronson, excercise, and planning out the bout ahead. I was benefiting from the push, but who knows what heights Koda had reached? I remember how his fists felt, punching me over and over. A hand on my shoulder brought me back to my surroundings.

"Hey Knuckley.." the bull started. He grinned, then looked around.

"What?" I asked him, then I heard a snicker. Lookin that way I saw a few of the pit bulls chuckling, and waving about their noses.

"They're sayin' you stink, Knuckle." the bull said, smiling, so I sniffed one of my armpits. That was like walkin into a wall.

"Ooof.. Yeah, I'd say I could use a shower.." I said, and I could feel my eyes redden. Ronson slapped me on the back and looked the dogs' way with a thumb up.

"Come on." the bull said, slappin me on the butt as he passed me. I rolled my eyes and followed him, and the dogs whistled after me.

The water was warm and nice. I had let myself get soaked until my fur was heavy with water, but Ronson was fine with having thin cow hair. His dyde-green fauxhawk was down around his face and neck and I thought he looked good with his hair natural and loose. Neither of us had soaped up yet, assuming we both thought it was good to get wet and relax. I watched the bull rub himself down and around, making sure he was totally wet. Whether he knew I was lookin or not didn't stop him from using his hands, totally free, touchin himself while he did it, mixing business with pleasure. His hands washed his mess of hair, rubbed his pecs and around his torso and pits, tracing slick grooves between every muscle until he got to his legs. I nodded as I kept rubbing my fur down, feeing the changes of warmth from mild to moderate.

Ronnie didn't spend too much time on his legs, rubbing down to his hooves, then back up the back of his legs...to his shapely ass. Round and firm. 100% beef. He lifted a leg and started rubbing under that ass cheek, disturbing the full dangle of his massive bull balls. Then he switched, and the way his nuts dangled made my throat tight. His tail swished and dripped as he started to rub his big, sculpted back, around every edge...but failing to meet in the center.

"Hey Knuckle gimme a hand. I can't.." he started, but I was already there.

"Yeah, you can't touch back here" I said, rubbing that undisturbed spot.

"Not into grazin back here?" I asked him. He chuckled.

"Nah. That's where the wolf hides." he said, and I felt his palm under my balls, his fingers curling up and around to get a full handfull.

I sighed, finding no opposition against the comfort of his palm and wrapped my other arm around his side, bumping my hand against his erect shaft.

"He's damn happy to have ya here.." Ronnie told me.

I took hold of his stiff rod and felt his pulse quicken. His pink pole throbbed and flexed in my hand, and Ronnie slumped against the wall, braced with a single arm.

"I like your hair this way. Don't see it down often." I said, and he sniffed and looked at his hair before his eyes.

"It could use a re-dying." he said, smiling.

We stayed there under the warm water, rising and falling with the big bull's breathing.

"I won't let anything happen to you, Knuckley."
