#3 of Out Of Time

Kaodina sat on a bench preening under her left wing while she awaits her next mission. Occasionally she would look to her right wrist, where she wore a bracer over it that held a lit up touchscreen panel, to which showed both the current time and date as well as any mission critical information. Unlike her younger siblings, her panel included an system operation A.I. named, ironically, Panel.

"Panal. Is there any new missions available?" Kaodina asked, her voice was soft and melodic.

After a moments pause, a sassy younger gay male voice replied. "Seriously. You going to ask me that every five minutes?"

Kaodina rolled her eyes before gave a slightly more annoyed tone. "Get off my back, Panal. I'm bored as hell."

Panal responded with a low volume laugh track before replying. "Ever the good agent." There was a pause as Kaodina glared at her wrist panel. "To answer your question. No. There are no missions availa..." Panal was cut off by a broadcast on her wrist panel. A holographic image of an elderly human male comes into view. "All Timespace Agents are to report to the briefing room in five minutes." After, the image vanished and Panal sprang back. "You know. I wish I would get a warning. It's like they forget I'm here. If I had feelings, they would hurt."

Kaodina laughed as she got up to walk the halls of the Agency building. She was once told that it was used as a house for presidents back in the age of America's rule, many centuries before people overcame their hatreds and racisms. Before the first of the alien invasion attempts. To her long memory, this building had been destroyed, rebuilt, turned into a museum, blown up again, then rebuilt into this agency manny, manny decades later.

It didn't take that long before she walked into the briefing room, where her three bothers and her sister where waiting. The same elderly human standing by large lit up monitor that shows all the mission critical intel.

"What's the mission." Damian asked, seemingly having as much patience as Kaodina had. "Or is this just another one of those boring 'Department Agenda' meetings."

Kaodina giggles softly. "I agree with Damian for once here." She smiles as she looks to her brother and other siblings a moment before turning her attention back to the human.

"You two are far too eager to get into fights." A poodle carrying a large shield on her back and a sword on her hip teased.

"At least they can contain their anger, Cassandra." A cybernetic feline spoke up in a playful jest.

"Shut is SoL or you will be rebuilding that jaw of yours." Cassandra growled out in an annoyed tone.

Any further sibling spats where cut short as the human cleared his throat. "Enough." The elderly man called out, which got an apology in unison from all five siblings. "Now. You are here because we received a mission critical report earlier this morning and have been looking into it."

The man paused long enough for the siblings to look from one another back to the old man. "Someone has altered the timeline. And not just the typical alterations we are used to. This individual somehow committed a mass genocide of the entire human race."

The sibling look to one another before a middle aged panda spoke up. "Why the human race? What gain would they get from removing the only thing that stopped our planet from being invaded by the dragon race of Galhandar."

"That is what the five of you are going to find out, and hopefully before the new timeline settles in." The human replies. "And a very good question Maldavious." The old man walked to the screen and began pressing some commands to bring up the mission screen.

"We have six timeline locations, so we are going to seperate the five of you. Each of you will get your own time period to travel through." The elderly man pulls up the first location. "First. Cassandra will be heading to the Mid evil time period. Your job is to investigate the only asset we have from Galhandar. A young dragon named Gregory has volunteered to offer as much insight as he can into what his people might be planning."

Cassandra grins and nods. "Just my kind of fun."

"You are not to hurt this dragon, he is important to the timeline. He was the mind behind castle creation, there for..." The human added But was cut short by an annoyed growl.

Cassandra huffed and growls. "Really. I was hoping for a good fight."

Cassandra's response got a giggle out of Kaodina. The old man continues. "The second timeline infraction is in the era of President Richard Nixon. That will be Kaodina's era."

The bird raised a brow. "Nixon's timeline? Why me?" Kaodina wasn't the only one confused by this.

Panal spoke up to add. "That's not our usual era of time. Usually we go to the space age timeline."

The elderly human spoke up to reply. "I am aware of this, but. Stealth is your domain, and we need an agent who is as quick as they are quite for this one."

This explanation got a nod from Kaodina. "Send Panal the details and I will head out immediately."

The elder human nods and sends the details to Panal before turning to add. "Your contact in the ti..... and she isn't gone."

Kaodina didn't give the human a chance before she was typing in the timeline date she was to go to in her wrist panel and, with the usual sounds of heavy wind and a minor rush to her gut, she was off to complete her mission.

The time slip happened as it always did, her body started glowing and a cricle forms around her feet. The world around the bird seemed to rewind around her. She watched as the world around her showed her all the terrible things the earth had gone through throughout all of time.

As the world slowed to a stop, she stood smack dab in the middle of the Oval Office. Luckily, the room had been empty, which gave her plenty of time to activate the cloaking technology installed into Panal's programming.

Panal spoke up in a hushed tone. "Father's intel says we have a contact to meet. A Ms. Nora Halmind."

"Easy enough. Get the info on where we go to meet this Nora." Kaodina answered in a hushed voice. "The sooner we get this done, the sooner I can make a bit of spending money for this era."

Panal brought up the info, the screen showing a picture of the contact as well as an address as to where to meet this Nora. "1276 Blinker St.
