As Hunter slipped out the patio door and into the backyard, he felt as if he were on cloud nine. The sun was shining, the birds were singing. Today was a big family cookout and best of all, he was wearing bonafide big boy undies under his shorts! This would not have been noteworthy for an average lion of Hunter's age, but the twelve year old was delighted. Ever since a brief stint of rather embarrassing accidents a couple months ago, it had been an uphill battle to get trusted with underwear again. Sure, they were underoos like his dorky little brother Koda wore, but having Scooby-Doo on his underwear was a lot better than the Paw Patrol characters that had adorned the Pull-ups he had worn for weeks before today. Diapers at night still, but for the moment, he was all big boy again! He wandered the backyard, not really sure what to do. His dad was standing at the grill talking with the other grown-up lions about something that sounded boring. At least if it had been sports, Hunter could have tried to participate, but it sounded political. Koda was inside, playing video games with the next door neighbors and Hunter felt too mature to hang out with nine year olds just that moment. But what could he do instead? His mom and the other lionesses were in the kitchen, but what would he do there except risk a swat on the behind for getting underfoot? With no real goal in sight, he meandered over to the playpen where his baby cousins played, but he quickly changed course, their puffy diapers reminding him a bit too much of how he looked at bedtime for his liking. Try as he might, he still had not succeeded in persuading his mom to let him wear Goodnites to bed like Koda wore. As if to embarrass him even more about the situation, she had whispered to him, thankfully without Koda being in the room, that she loved putting her 'baby Hunny' in diapers at night. He grumbled about the horribly infantile name, but he knew that if he whined too much about his diapers, Koda would replace his taunts about 'baby bro' with something much worse. Shaking his head, he rid himself of the thoughts of bedtime. It was not even lunchtime yet. He had hours and hours left in underwear before he even had to think about that! With a shrug, he decided to go back inside and watch Koda and Jaden playing video games. He allowed himself one last diaper thought, ever grateful that Mom had expressly forbidden Koda from telling Jaden about his issues with accidents. Hunter suspected that the temptation was a lot for Koda, so he was careful not to antagonize him, at least not too much. "Where were you?" Koda asked as Hunter came into the living room. "Outside." "Doing what?" "Trying to find something to do." "After this game, we could go play catch or frisbee or something." Jaden suggested, smiling at Hunter. Jaden was right in between Hunter and Koda in terms of ages, but he mostly played with Koda. They had first met in preschool while Hunter was in first grade, so Hunter had often gone between willingly playing with them and being too mature to be seen with them. "Ok." Hunter said. He suddenly felt a twinge in his bladder and took off running toward the bathroom. Ever since his time back in diapers and potty training, if he felt the need to pee, he had to rush... or else. Practically diving into the bathroom, Hunter closed the door behind him and yanked down his pants and underwear. He knew that he used to just tug the front of his underwear down to pee, but it felt simply safer to tug everything, pants and underoos, down completely. He stood there, bare bottomed, as he peed. It was only at that moment that he realized he should have locked the bathroom door to make sure no one could walk in on him peeing like a little boy. Once he finished, he washed his paws and went back out to the living room. Koda and Jaden hardly even looked up as he entered the room. "Had any ideas?" He asked, trying not to sound too desperate to hang out with the two younger boys. "Maybe we can play in the sprinkler after lunch?" Koda said. "Jaden brought his swimsuit." "Sure." Hunter said with a shrug. "I'm going to go find mine." He went upstairs, glad of something to do. He usually did not mind playing with Jaden and Koda, but as he neared thirteen, he felt like he was more mature than them. If only there was someone else his age here to hang out with. Reaching into the back of his dresser, he found his swimsuit, but quickly discovered that something was wrong. He heard the floor outside his room creak and he poked his head out. "Hey, mom!" He said. "Look!" He held up his swimsuit. The lioness stepped into his room and took it from him. "Oh, no! Torn right along the seam. If I had my sewing kit, I could probably get this fixed up in a jiffy." "Can you? Me and Koda want to run through the sprinkler after lunch." His mom smiled at him. "You know, you don't need a swimsuit to do that." "Huh?" She leaned down. "You could run through naked." She whispered in his ear. "It's just family here." He stared at her, scandalized. "When you and Koda were babies, we'd do your baths in a tub in the backyard sometimes, you know." Hunter blushed and quickly got things back on subject. "Doesn't Koda have another swimsuit? Or maybe I could just wear regular shorts?" "You can check the dresser, I guess." She said with a shrug. "I can't imagine why he'd have a second pair though." Hunter dug through the dresser, but could not find anything. He sighed, disappointed. "So, going to run through naked?" "I'll just watch." Smiling, the lioness could not resist one last prod. "I could see if one of the moms has a swim diaper you could wear." "Mom!" She kissed his forehead. "Lunch should be ready soon." She said. "Let's head back outside, hmm? I'm sure you'll think of something else to do while the boys are running through the sprinkler." "Lunchtime!" Hunter's dad announced almost the moment Hunter and his mom emerged from the house. "Koda, Jaden. Come eat!" Hunter's mom called over her shoulder. "Let's go get your plate loaded up, Hunter." Guiding him over to the grill, she grabbed a plate. "I'll do it for you, okay?" Hunter silently followed, knowing that once his mom got an idea in her head, there was little he could do to dissuade her. "Ketchup and mustard?" She asked. "Yes" "Yes please." His mom corrected. "Remember your big boy manners." "Not so loud." He muttered as Koda and Jaden came out and started loading up plates behind him and mom. She gave him a warning look, but did not say anything. "Here we go." She set the plate down on the picnic table and gestured for Hunter to sit down. When had she had time to cut up a hot dog for him? She sometimes worked in mysterious ways. As Koda and Jaden came over with hot dogs of their own, Hunter hoped that they would not notice that his mom had cut his up for him as if he were some sort of little kid. "I've heard Viridian Gems is going to be even better." Jaden said as they sat down across from Hunter, who breathed a sigh of relief. They were too busy having a conversation about some game to even notice what he had on his plate. Just to be safe, however, Hunter wolfed it all down as quickly as he could. "My goodness!" His mom said, appearing behind him. "Someone was hungry. Do you want seconds?" "No thanks" he tried to say as she grabbed a napkin and wiped his face. Jaden and Koda both noticed and snickered a bit. "I'm coming for you two next." The lioness replied, silencing them instantly. Leaning down, she kissed the top of Hunter's head. "Why don't you run inside and try to go potty." She whispered.

"It's going to be naptime now." Hunter blushed, but Jaden and Koda were chatting again, so he got up and went inside.

Emerging from the bathroom, he wandered back toward the backyard, looking for his mom. He wondered for a moment if she was upstairs waiting for him, but he had a feeling she was still outside. It would be more embarrassing for him to have to get her attention to get him ready for his nap. He sighed. While in the bathroom, he had taken a moment to enjoy his big boy undies. Naptime meant a return to a diaper, but he knew that the big boy thing to do was find his mom and go willingly to his crinkly fate.

"There you are." She said as he came out of the patio door. "C'mon. I've got everything ready for over by the playpen." She took his paw and began to pull him along before her words even sank in.

"Mom! No!" Hunter whined as she dragged him toward the picnic table right by the playpen, which had served as the changing station all day. "Can't we do this in my room?"

"No, sweetie. We've got everything we need right here." She said. "Quit making a scene. I doubt Koda and Jaden will even notice, as long as you stop yelling." Despite Hunter's best efforts to resist quietly, they reached the picnic table. Hunter stared down at the grass as his aunts and Jaden's mom all looked at him with light confusion. "I'm putting this fussy guy down for a nap and he's a little resistant." His mom explained.

"Does he still need protection?" Hunter's aunt Kiara asked.

"He does. Climb up, Hunter." His mom instructed. "Just you watch. This will be the fastest diapering you've ever had." She patted his bottom reassuringly. Hunter tried to go as slowly as he could, but several paws helped him up onto the picnic table, maneuvering him with alarming ease onto the jungle print changing pad. He tried his best to bat paws away, but there were simply too many of them and the lionesses had him stripped down to his fur in what felt like the blink of an eye.

"Up you come." Jaden's mom said, slipping her paws under Hunter's armpits and lifting him to his feet.

"Huh?"

"This is a deluxe diapering." Jaden's mom said with a smile. She kept her paws under his arms, preventing him from lowering his paws enough to cover his crotch. He looked over to where Koda and Jaden still sat, silently praying that they would not look over to see him, completely nude, about to be diapered for his nap.

"Oh, while he's up." Hunter heard his mom say a split second before he felt a cold wipe run down between the cheeks of his bottom. He tried to suppress his yowl, but the women all giggled as it slipped out. His face felt warm as his mom showed him the brown wipe. "Keep this up and we'll have to start at the beginning again, kiddo." She whispered. Hunter knew all too well what that meant: full-fledged diaper days.

When his mom had taken away his underwear two months ago due to one too many pants wettings, she had claimed that she did not want to make him a baby again. All the same, he had had to endure nearly three weeks of diapers around the clock. He had spent the majority of that time in nothing other than a diaper, all of his liquids were given to him in baby bottles, and his mom had even made him take baths instead of showers. It had just so happened to coincide with Jaden's family going on vacation, but Koda had still be around to delight in his older brother's second babyhood.

After the longest few weeks of his life, Hunter had been rewarded, or so his mom claimed, by being upgraded to Pull-ups. While he got to wear clothes over them most of the time, he still had to do 'potty time' every few hours under his mom or dad's watchful eye. A few times, she had threatened to have Koda supervise, but it had never happened. Embarrassingly, Hunter had to get through a full month of potty training before he had earned the underoos that had just been stripped off him by the pack of lionesses surrounding him at that moment.

Hunter hoped that they would at least let him lie down now, but the lionesses grew distracted by something else: his bottom.

"I can't believe a cub Jaden's age has the same butt as my little Cayden." Jaden's mom said. Hunter, desperate to assert his maturity, mumbled about how he was at least eighteen months older than Jaden, but no one seemed to hear him as a spirited debate began.

"I saw Cayden's tushie earlier. I think this one's more like my niece Sophia's. I mean, from the back, I'd never think he's a boy." One of his mom's friends said. Hunter blushed. He felt his thumb slip into his mouth and he sucked on it, a habit he had developed during his abbreviated second babyhood. His ears flattened as his mom weighed in.

"Hunter's always taken more after me while Koda takes after his dad. In a way, Hunter's the closest thing to a daughter I have."

"We know you're a boy, dumpling." Jaden's mom whispered to him, smiling to see him sucking his thumb so openly. "Ready for your diaper?" He would never admit it, but he was. He had gotten far too lucky that Koda and Jaden had not looked over here and tempting fate further did not seem like a good idea. Knowing they expected an answer, he meekly nodded, feeling terribly younger than twelve years old.

He found himself eased down onto the diaper. To his surprise, his mom gently pulled his thumb out of his mouth, only to replace it with the nipple of a bottle of formula. He looked inquisitively up at her even as he started sucking on the bottle out of instinct.

"All part of a deluxe diapering." His mom mused warmly. Even though he thought being fed a bottle was embarrassing, it at least distracted him from further embarrassment as the assembled lionesses powdered his privates, rubbing it into his fur even as his privates reacted to the attention.

"Someone's excited for his diaper." Jaden's mom whispered loudly enough for Hunter to easily overhear. He blushed, but could do nothing other than suckle on the bottle as they taped the diaper snugly around his waist.

"Now just finish your baba!" One of the lionesses, whose name Hunter could not remember, cooed. Once the final drops disappeared from the bottle, Hunter found himself lifted up once again to be burped.

"Alrighty" his mom said, wiping a drop of formula from his chin. "Let's get you inside for your nap." She lifted him off of the picnic table and set him down on his feet on the grass.

"Can't I put my clothes on?"

"You napped in just your diaper yesterday." His mom said much too loudly for his liking. She took his paw and led the waddling cub across the yard, his diaper crinkling loudly. He glanced over to where Koda and Jaden were sitting and his ears flattened as he saw them both staring at him with their mouths wide open. He whimpered and could not stop his thumb from slipping into his mouth, which he knew only added to his cubby appearance. He felt like they could even smell the baby powder wafting off of him as he finally disappeared inside, heading off to his nap.
