The Perfect Flower
The Perfect Flower
Mediteral
I wake up in the morning
Before the sun has risen at all
I, the little cubone, have a plan
For the sweetest day of all
Out in the underbrush
A perfect little flower for her
I swear I will have it
A pretty flower for my mother
But will I make in time
Before she wakes up
Will I be able to keep the surprise?
Well, now, I haven't a doubt
I rush with quite a start
Trying to find the perfect gift
For momma's lonely heart
She once told me
If she could do things differently, she would...
I then told her
She's the perfect mommy now, it's true...
I promise I will have that flower
Whatever it takes
A perfect flower for my perfect mother!
Deep in the woods I find my prize
But in the arms of another
A charmander who wants it
Who wants my mommy's flower
Racing under the trees
Racing over rivers
Over dead branches
and under fallen towers
I will not fail
I will not falter
I swear I'll give my momma that flower!
But when I finally have my chance
I miss and I trip and I fall
Tumbling down a hill
I lose my chance in the grass so tall...
Lost and hurt
I search the land
But it's too late
Sunrise has come and passed...
I try to stand tall
I told myself not to cry
but they tears, they still fall...
With empty paws
I walk home in tears
What will I do now
To thank her for the love this year...
At the home den, She waits outside
Looking up to her, I say sorry for a start
She wipes my tear stained eyes
And hugs me close to her heart
"Oh don't you cry my baby boy
Please don't you cry sweetie
Please don't you cry no more..."
Right now, I finally see
I don't need a flower for her to love me
She then tells me,
I'm the perfect flower for the perfect mommy
I'll cry no more
I'll do my best today
To be momma's perfect flower
For this Mother's Day...
