Crime and...Punishment?
#3 of Writing Corner Writing Practice
This is the writing prompt for the first full week in May (2019). The prompt was "All dialogue" and still had to be about 1000 words. I got pretty darn close (it depends on if you count sounds as words...) Please let me know what you think/thought about this one. Even if you thought it was "eww" or "weird" or "umm, that would never happen!" please leave a comment. I get better at writing by knowing what readers think of what I write.
"Hey, Alexa, what time is it?"
"It is currently Hammer Time."
"Alexa, would you repeat that?"

"Jonas, did you fuck with Alexa again!"
"I didn't touch it, asshole! Stop always blaming me!"
"Get your fuzzy little ass in here and speak to my face! Stop yelling from the other room!"
"You're yelling from the other room!"
"Do as I say and not as I do!"
"What the fuck kind of logic is that?"
"The only fucking logic a parent needs, now get your ass in here!"
"What if I don't fucking wanna? What the fuck are you going to do about it?"
"You have three seconds to get your sorry ass in this room before I come down there and beat your ass bloody!"
"Yeah, right! You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and you know it!"

"Where the fuck was one?"
"Three! I'm getting the belt, asswipe!"

"Is not. Corporal punishment is allowed in this state. I can even spank your ass bare. Not a damn thing you can do about it. You knew what the punishment was going to be, you chose to ignore the warning, now you're going to pay the piper."

"I'm the piper, dickweed. Now shut up and stop moving. It'll only hurt worse if you're moving around and I accidentally hit the wrong thing."
"Wait, what? You might not...what do you mean by that... I said wait, damn it! AHH! That fucking hurt."
"That's the point. If it hurts bad enough, you won't do it again."
"Screw you and your stupid logic! Stop fucking hitting me for one damn second!"
"Fine. What?"
"Oh...uh..."
"Go figure. You finally get your way and you don't know what the fuck to do with yourself..."
"Sh-shut up! You made me forget what I was gonna say, asshole!"
"Sure I did. If you've got nothing to say, it's back to the punishment."
"No...uh...I do! I t-totally have something to say!"

"I... I'm sorry I messed with Alexa. And I'm sorry I didn't 'fess up to it...before."

"W-well...are-aren't you gonna...say...something?"
"Uh... Hm... Thanks, I guess. I...didn't expect you to apologize. Or confess, really. I...don't know what comes next. We've...never been here before."
"You're the parent, you're supposed to know what to do after the punishment!"
"You've never owned up to things before! Normally, I yell or smack you or something, I give you a warning, and we forget about it."
"Uh...then...can I...sit up, or something?"
"Oh...uh...yeah, sure."

"I know as a good parent, I'm not supposed to draw attention...but I think we both know by now that I'm not a good parent...so... Is that because of...this?"
