Crowley gets up to some Easter Fun!

NOTES:

Happy Easter guys! I wanted to provide some comedic relief for y'all. This happens about a decade before the last chapter. Enjoy!

Crowley was painting a blood-red pentagram egg when Aziraphale's digigrade leg bumped the wooden table, shaking it and smudges his pattern. "Boo!" Aziraphale squeaked, laughing. "HEY! I'm painting my egg here, you featherbrain! Keep your feet to yourself." He cursed and pushed his supplies down onto the table. "Fine. What is it?" Aziraphale nudged his head on Crowley's shoulder and directed his attention to Adam Young, a small gray wolf wearing a striped red and yellow tee-shirt who was carefully painting some flowers with his friends and laughing. "They sure are cute, huh? I wish we could see them more often." "I wish they could see US more often," Crowley corrected. "They don't even know we are here! Right across a table over! We're probably nothing more than an odd memory to Adam A fever dream, if you will. Simply a fantasy." Crowley let out a sigh as he stretched. A long silence ensued as Aziraphale thought about what Crowley said. "I suppose so." Aziraphale replied wearily. Suddenly, Adam hit the basket of painted eggs as he was painting and they fell. But it stopped midway in air, returning to the art table. All the children looked surprised at Adam. "Was that you?" A small girl deer asked feebly. "Noo.." Adam turned around slowly. "It was this snake!" He announced happily, holding it like Simba from The Lion King. His friends looked a little surprised at first, but eventually all got a turn to hold Crowley. After they were done with the eggs, they fed them to Crowley, who vored them with no issue. All the kids cheered, awestruck. Aziraphale winked at Crowley, and Crowley flicked his tail back as he got a glimpse from over the deer girl's shoulder. He hissed, "You better not forget me, you spawn-of-satan!" To Adam, as he giggled. Aziraphale watched as an owl from outside the bookstore in a tree, who had transformed and flew outside.
