Chapter 1 (Part A)-Episode 1,Part 1: Orphaned As A child...
The story begins with me,drake Shadowflame in my hometown,dragon paradise peaks a year and a half after the disappearance of my father,Richard Goldwing,a famous explorer and and adventurer known throughout the pokemon world,a search party at the time had been sent out in the surrounding areas and went town to town asking around and putting up posters asking to notify the local police and guilds if they see anyone resembling him. the news of my father's mysterious disappearance had eventually become known throughout the world after a month,when the searches were called off,at the time,i was 4,not far from my 5th birthday.My childhood friend jake flamewheel and his family were the ones to break this devastating news to me,and later in life,at the age of 7,they adopted me.currently in the present,i am with my best friend jake as we walk through the woods Talking of the past year 2 years ago,close to sunset.the one on the right with the white scarf is me.
Jake Flamewheel: *kicks a small twig out of the way in frustration*....sorry about your old man,we looked for a month...practically had the whole world looking for him...for him to disappear like that without so much as a word...its...shocking!
Drake Shadowflame: *sighs as he continues walking through the woods*...i know you all did the best you could,even i didn't expect life to be so cruel as it punched me in the face a second time,i never knew my mother because of what happened when i was born....and my father was the last of my parents...but i've accepted it,and have to move forward...though i still have more questions than answers as to why he vanished that night without telling me...listen,jake... *pauses momentarily,only to continue a few seconds later* i'm very grateful you and your family took me in *stops to turn around and hug his best friend,then kisses him on the cheek,and ends the hug*
Jake FlameWheel: *pauses for a moment,blushing* wh-what was that for!
Drake ShadowFlame: *looks back at jake* For everything you've done for me over these past two years.
*smirks at seeing his friends totally embarrassed face* what,is it that your afraid i have a crush on you or is it because of my gender?
Jake Flamewheel: n-no...it just was unexpected,and made me totally uncomfortable....your gender has nothing to do with it!...*rubs his arm uncomfortably* i'm not judgemental about those kinds of things...
Drake Shadowflame: *laughs* dude,i was just messing with you as far the comment goes...there's no need to defensive,your my friend,friends mess with one another.
Jake FlameWheel: *fumes,mad at drake* well it was going a bit too far!
Drake Shadowflame: ok ok...i get it...sorry..i didn't mean to push past your boundaries dude.
Jake Flamewheel: *sighs,calming down*apology accepted...drake...it's getting late,we have to be back home before curfew,we don't want my parents getting angry and scolding us because we didn't come home and the whole town went out looking for us.
Drake Shadowflame: ...ok,you're right...let's head back home.
we then walked back home and made it barely in time the curfew and dinner, as i look up towards the sky,i smile as i see a beautiful sun setting over the horizon,jake still somewhat flustered at the days events between us...
Chapter 1 (Part A)-Episode 1,Part 2: Dinner And A Sleepover!
as soon as we barely got home in time for curfew and dinner,jakes mom and dad were waiting for us on the front porch with worried expressions on their faces.
Drew FlameWheel:*looks sternly at the both of them angrily*where have you two been!!! were were beginning to get worried sick!
Serenity Firestorm: *looks angrily at them,voice raised*do you realize it's 10 minutes past your curfew!!!!we were about to ask the town to send out a search party!!!!
both drake and jake look at them,and the only words out of their mouths were*sorry mom and dad,it won't happen again!!!
after some scalding they both got ready for dinner,as they went to wash their hands,jake walked past me with an annoyed look on his face,as he rolls his eyes.
Jake Flamewheel: told you we would be yelled at drake *rolls eyes,annoyed*
Drake Shadowflame: ...sorry,you were right.*shrugs and sticks tongue out*
After dinner we planned on doing a sleepover at my old home,the mansion my father owned,and that i automatically inherited as a result.It was literally about a half yard next to jake's house,down the road in the woods next to us,of course jake's dad was coming with,even though i lived by myself for about a year and a half,and was generally responsible,jake and his family would always stop by to check on my well being...normally around the time i got up in the mornings until they officially adopted me as an orphan.
They already knew i could take care of myself because my dad wasn't there as often,and would usually stay for a couple months before finding a new secret hidden within the ancient texts and manuscripts he kept in a vault within his study,then he would go out to find these places of legend,usually previously undiscovered ruins hidden within dungeons,plus,while they took care of me as babysitters,i was taught how to cook,clean,etc.(my cooking skills are basic,and don't taste as good as solar flare's cooking,though the cooking is still nutritious,which is what matters the most.)
I'm actually really good at translating ancient poke and hieroglyphics on documents,transcripts,and things related to them,my father taught me in his freetime,i would often study his books located in his study while he was away,the vault was still off limits though,as i'm sure you can guess why.
Drew Flamewheel: jake,drake,you ready.drake,don't forget to get your keys to the gate and front doors!
Jake:yeah,we're ready.also drake's says he's got his keys already!
as we left the house and began to walk down the road towards the entrance to the path located in the forest where it led few hundred feet towards the gate to my childhood home,jake asked me something i never expected him to ask me before:
Jake Flamewheel: *looks at drake curiously* hey...drake..do you ever wonder what it would be like to live in the ancient times where myths and legends were born from,and to be apart of those legends?
Drake Shadowflame: *Surprised* W-What brought this this on...why do you ask?
Jake Flamewheel: well i know your dad was a famous explorer who researched ancient legends,myths,civilizations,and pokemon languages,then went out to explore and discover them,often finding previously undiscovered locations hidden within dungeons...do you wish to continue your fathers legacy and dream,or do you have a different dream?what is it you want to be when you grow up?...i've never heard you talk about it,and i know you were mostly self taught about understanding ancient pokemon languages...when your father was out as an explorer.
Drake stays silent for a moment while contemplating his answer to his friends question as they continue down the road,having turned just arrived at the area where the forest entrance leading to the path within the forest area that would go straight to the gate of the mansion.
Drake Shadowflame: *sighs* to be honest...i've never really been sure what i want to be when i grow up,i've never really considered it.
they continue talking as they walk,eventually after 10 minutes of walking,they reach the gate,where drake unlocks the gate.the mansion looks more like a 16-17th century castle,due to the fact it's made from solid stone blocks,its been in his family for generations and survived countless wars,at one point in history,350 years ago,its said that the area to the west deeper within the forest where it stood had been a battlefield,as a great army tried to invade,and that a group of 3 extraordinarily powerful and mysterious pokemon that wielded and controlled mysterious powers,a pikachu,riolu and a mew successfully defended this area and managed to drive back this invading army right on that very spot!
from what he understood of his family history,a king related to him had ruled and lived from within its walls,and he knows it holds many secrets.he remembers one time jake and him were walking down a hall corridor in the lower area and leaned on a secret panel,only to fall through the wall and get trapped,this area was actually a secret escape route that was used in case the castle had come under siege,his father ended up having to get a quite terrified and startled jake out,as it was one way and could only be opened from inside the mansion. *chuckles as he remembers this moment in his life* though he still feels bad that happened to his friend jake when they were younger,he looked back towards jake who looked very annoyed,having must have realized what he was chuckling to himself about,as drake still chuckles to himself that way about what happened to his friend this very day.overhead,a storm looked like it was going to approach from the east soon,so they hurried to the door and got inside,locking the door behind as they entered.
Chapter 1 (Part A)-Episode 1,Part 3: The nightmares begin...Memories of A forgotten past!
Later that night,5 hours into his sleep as a thunderstorm raged outside the mansion,drake began to develop night sweats and stirred in his sleep,panting...his dreams were very vivid and terrifying:
in them, he saw a great monster in the form of black smoke with the very presence that felt like death itself as you looked into its glowing red eyes..it was being engaged in combat by 3 legendary heroes...a pikachu,a lucario,and a mew while fighting alongside the 3 legendary pokemon known as the creation trio...dialga,palkia and arceus,and 2 others, a white lucario and some sort of dragon like creature known as guardians! they were so vivid and terrifying....because in the dreams he felt as if he was dying after the heroes had driven this great evil from their world...both the pikachu and the lucario succumbing to their wounds as a result the battle.he even saw mew die,halfway through the battle as he attempted to shield the two from an attack that had pierced its heart, before the remaining 2 heroes deaths came at the end of the battle...little did he know at the time that these were his memories from his past life as the lucario,taking the form of dreams...
suddenly drake woke up nearly screaming in the process and waking up his friend jake,while sweating and heavily panting like crazy as if he was hyperventilating!
Drake Shadowflame: *thinks to himself terrified* w-what was that! i-it was so real.i..i.. *looks down at his paws as they tremble,sweat beading down his face and body as he begins to cry*
Jake Flamewheel: D-Drake...W-Whats wrong! *worried,he grabs drakes shoulders*
jake had never seen his best friend this terrified before,and was beginning to become extremely worried.
Drake Shadowflame: *grabs jake in a hug as he begins to cry uncontrollably* I...I...I...
unable to make the words form in his mouth,he continues to cry as jake begins to comfort him,neither saying a word,and jake beginning to worry that something's terribly wrong as these nightmares continue for the next 5 months,until the next monday after the dreams had stopped,on the anniversary of his fathers disappearance. around this time, drake began acting strange,often in the study for long periods of time.
after 3 days,drake finally found the answer he was seeking,both to what happened to his father and the connection to his dreams.
little did he know his friend jake would also find out that fateful day as he found the answers he was seeking and then was forced to leave his hometown in order to protect the ones he cared for...
